BACKGROUND: Fractures present serious health challenges for older adults, including premature mortality and reduced quality of life. Obesity has become significantly prevalent in China. However, the association between obesity and fractures remains unclear. This study aimed to assess the association between obesity and fractures among Chinese women above 50 years of age. METHODS: A prospective cohort study was designed based on the China Health and Nutrition Survey, using data from 1997 to 2015. The average follow-up duration was seven years. Trained investigators measured body mass index (BMI) and waist circumference (WC) at baseline. Obesity was defined according to World Health Organization recommendations. Waist-to-height ratio (W-HtR) was calculated, with 0.5 as the cutoff value. Onset of fractures, self-reported by the participants during the follow-up period, was the primary outcome. Cox hazard regression models were used to assess the association between BMI, WC, W-HtR and subsequent risk of fracture. A sensitivity analysis was conducted by multiple imputation of missing data on the variables at baseline. RESULTS: A total of 2,641 women aged ≥ 50 years were involved in the study. In all the models, no significant association existed between BMI and fracture risk. However, women with WC ≥ 88 cm had significantly higher risk of fracture than those with WC < 80 cm according to both the unadjusted (HR = 1.744, 95% CI: 1.173-2.591) and adjusted models (HR = 1.796, 95% CI: 1.196-2.695). In addition, W-HtR and fracture risk were positively associated according to both the unadjusted (HR = 1.798, 95% CI: 1.230-2.627) and adjusted models (HR = 1.772, 95% CI: 1.209-2.599). Results of the sensitivity analysis were consistent with those of the above analyses. CONCLUSIONS: Abdominal obesity increased the risk of all-cause fractures in Chinese women ≥ 50 years old. Intervention strategies and measures to prevent or address abdominal obesity would be helpful to decrease the fracture incidence.

INTRODUCTION: This study was conducted to evaluate the prevalence and influencing factors of food allergy (FA) in different regions and populations. METHODS: The studies from January 2011 to December 2021 were searched through PubMed, Embase, Cochrane Library, and Web of Science databases. The prevalence of FA was evaluated by calculating the pooled effect estimates and their 95% confidence intervals (CIs). The odds ratio (OR) value was used to investigate the influencing factors of FA. Heterogeneity analysis among studies was performed using I2 analysis. Sensitivity analysis was performed to assess the stability of the results, and Begg's test was used to assess publication bias. RESULTS: A total of 105 published articles, including 3,318,608 participants, were involved in this study. The result indicated that the overall FA prevalence was 4.3% (95% CI: 0.038-0.047). The prevalence of FA was 4.2% in Asia (95% CI: 0.033-0.051), 3.2% in America (95% CI: 0.024-0.041), 4.8% in Europe (95% CI: 0.037-0.060), 1.6% in Africa (95% CI: 0.008-0.026), and 7.5% in Oceania (95% CI: 0.052-0.102). Milk (prevalence: 1.1%, 95% CI: 0.009-0.013) and egg (prevalence: 1.1%, 95% CI: 0.008-0.014) were the most common type of FAs. Male (OR: 1.289, 95% CI: 1.001-1.659), antibiotics exposure during pregnancy (OR: 1.221, 95% CI: 1.162-1.284), breastfeeding (OR: 1.349, 95% CI: 1.011-1.799), asthma (OR: 1.794, 95% CI: 1.443-2.230), eczema (OR: 5.121, 95% CI: 3.575-7.334), family history of atopic disease (OR: 1.893, 95% CI: 1.313-2.730), family history of FAs (OR: 2.096, 95% CI: 1.686-2.594), family history of atopic dermatitis (OR: 1.954, 95% CI: 1.645-2.322), family history of asthma (OR: 1.516, 95% CI: 1.370-1.678), and family history of allergic rhinitis/conjunctivitis (OR: 1.287, 95% CI: 1.191-1.392) increased the risk of FA. CONCLUSION: There were geographical differences in the prevalence of FA. Identification and nursing of FA high-risk populations should be strengthened to improve the quality of life.

The aim of this study was to investigate the prevalence of self-reported food allergy among university students in China. A cluster-random sampling population-based cross-sectional study using self - administrated questionnaire was conducted with 2538 college students recruited from 6 universities in China. The questionnaire included data on age, sex, weight, height, FA, comorbid allergic diseases, family history, and understanding food allergy. Data were analyzed by SPSS 25.0 statistical software. Multivariate logistic regression analysis was performed to analyze the risk factors related to self-reported food allergy and estimate the odds ratio. A total of 2538 questionnaires were distributed to the undergraduate students and 2313 completely effective questionnaires were collected, the effective response rate was 91.1%. 834 males and 1479 females were recruited, and their age ranged from 18 to 25 years old. The prevalence of self-reported food allergy was 15.7%, and the rate of doctor-diagnosed food allergy was 8.4%. The leading food allergens included shrimp, shellfish, milk, egg, peach, mango, beef, and peanut, and the prevalence of shrimp allergy was the highest (5.8%). The main clinical manifestation included skin mucous membrane and respiratory symptoms. The prevalence of food allergy were statistically significant difference (P < .05) between different age groups, family history, sun exposure times, smoking, and antibiotic use. Over 45% college students know little about food allergy. The prevalence of self-reported food allergy among Chinese college students was high (15.7%). Shrimp was the main allergenic food, followed by shellfish, milk, egg, peach, and mango. Family history, sun exposure, obesity, and using antibiotics may be the influencing factors of food allergy. The Chinese undergraduates lacked the knowledge about food allergy. Thus, it is necessary to strengthen the health education program on food allergy for college students in China and other middle high-income nations.

BACKGROUND: To determine the prevalence of food allergy (FA) and factors associated with these occurrences in different populations from different regions. MATERIALS AND METHODS: The literature search will be conducted via Pubmed, Embase, Cochrane Library, Web of Science, China National Knowledge Infrastructure (CNKI), Vip and Wanfang databases. Ratio rate (RR), odds ratio (OR) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) will be adopted to evaluate prevalence and factors for FA in different populations from different regions. When the heterogeneity is small (I2<50%), the fixed effect model will be analyzed, otherwise, random effects model analysis will be performed. When the heterogeneity is large (I2≥50%), Meta regression will be used to explore the sources of inter-study heterogeneity. When the heterogeneity is large (I2≥50%) and the results are statistically significant (P<0.05), subgroup analysis will be analyzed based on age, gender, race/region, literature quality and other factors. Funnel plots will be used to reflect reporting bias and the Begg's test will be used to test the symmetry of the funnel plots. When publication bias occurs, "cut-and-fill" method will be adopted to adjust publication bias. And sensitivity analysis will be performed for all outcome indicators. DISCUSSION: This meta-analysis will evaluate the prevalence of FA and factors associated with these occurrences in different populations from different regions on the basis of existing evidences. Our study may be crucial to analyze similarities and differences regarding FA between different individuals from diverse regions and eventually define preventive or diagnostic approaches specifically tailored to certain populations and regions. PURPOSE: Previously, we reported the octyl ester derivative of ginsenoside Rh2 (Rh2-O) had better antitumor and immunomodulatory effects than Rh2 in H22 tumor-bearing mice. Therefore, this study further explored the effects of Rh2-O on splenic lymphocytes in H22 tumor-bearing mice and the underlying mechanism. METHODS: Wild type and Tlr4-/- mice were selected to establish the H22 tumor-bearing mice model. After the treatment of Rh2-O (10 mg/kg by gavage) for 15 days, the sizes of tumor were measured. Subsequently, the splenic lymphocytes were isolated and the activities (eg. cell proliferation, cytotoxicity and cytokine secretion) were evaluated. Then, the proteins and mRNA expression levels of TRAF6 and NF-ĸB p65 in splenic lymphocytes were examined. RESULTS: The results showed that Rh2-O administration enhanced the proliferative capacity and cytotoxicity of splenic lymphocytes, and the effects were Tlr4-associated. Compared to WT mice, the up-regulation of cytokines secretion (eg. IFN-γ, IL-2 and IL-4) in isolated splenic lymphocytes after Rh2-O administration was lower in Tlr4-/- mice. Moreover, the results showed Rh2-O increased the expression of TRAF6 and the level of endonuclear NF-ĸB p65, which was inhibited in Tlr4-/- mice (P < 0.05). CONCLUSION: Rh2-O could exert immunomodulatory effects on splenic lymphocytes with the partial participation of TLR4 in H22 tumor-bearing mice.

Cyclin D1 (CCND1) has been identified as a metastatic promoter in various tumors including lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD), a subtype of non small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The previous observation revealed that CCND1 was upregulated in NSCLC and predicted poor prognosis of LUAD patients. In this study, we examined a chaperonin containing TCP1 subunit 5 (CCT5) protein interacts with CCND1 in LUAD. Immunofluorescence demonstrated the co-localization of CCT5 and CCND1 protein in LUAD cells. CCT5 expression was detected with both immunohistochemistry (IHC) and bioinformatics analyses. Similar with the expression pattern of CCND1, CCT5 displayed a high level in LUAD tissues compared to non cancerous lung specimens. Patients with high CCT5 expression showed a significant shorter overall survival relative to those with low expression level. Furthermore, upregulated CCT5 exhibited significant positive correlation with TNM stage of LUAD patients in both IHC analyses and bioinformatics. Knocking down CCT5 remarkably inhibited LUAD cell migration and invasion in vitro by inactivating PI3K/AKT and its downstream EMT signals, which could abrogated the accelerated migration and invasion caused by CCND1 overexpression. In summary, our study discovered a highly expressed protein CCT5 in LUAD which interacted with CCND1 and promoted migration and invasion of LUAD cells by positively moderating PI3K/AKT-induced EMT pathway.

The human gut harbors trillions of microbes, which are extremely important to the health of the host. However, the effect of drinking water on gut microbiota has been poorly understood. In this study, we explored the response of BALB/c mice gut bacterial community (feces) to the different types of drinking water, including commercial bottled mineral water (MW), natural water (NW), purified water (PW) and tap water (TW). Feces were cultured with brain heart infusion broth dissolved in four types of drinking water. 16S rRNA gene analysis was performed. Our results reveal that the microbiota composition is different among culturing with four types of drinking water. As the culture time increases, the number of OTUs significantly decreased, except under the aerobic condition of MW. Under aerobic conditions on the 5th day, the considerable differences of alpha diversity index are found between MW and three others, and these are the most unique taxa in the MW group. Importantly, the LEfSe analysis discovers that the Bacteroidetes taxa dominate the differences between MW and the other water types. Our findings demonstrate that the mineral water as a culture medium may lead to a progressive increase of the gut microbiota diversity by providing the growth convenience to Bacteroidetes.

BACKGROUND: To systematically evaluate the effects of physical activity on physiological markers in breast cancer survivors. METHODS: A systematic search of the PubMed, Wed of Science, Medline, CNKI and Wanfang Database was performed to identify eligible randomized controlled trials to explore physical activity on physiological markers in breast cancer survivors. STATA version 13.0 (Stata Corp LP, College Station, TX) was used for all statistical analyses. RESULTS: A total of 11 articles with 941 cases were eligible in this meta-analysis. The results of the meta-analysis showed that physical activity could decrease the levels of insulin (SMD = -1.90, 95%CI: -3.2 to -0.60; I = 92.3%, P < .001), insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF-I) (WMD = -4.67, 95%CI: -23.14 to 13.79; I = 96.2%, P < .001), insulin-like growth factor binding protein-3 (IGFBP-3) (WMD = -20.09, 95%CI: -47.15 to 6.97; I = 93.3%, P < .001). However, compared with the control group, there was not the significant change of insulin-like growth factor 2 (IGF-II), insulin-like growth factor binding protein-1 (IGFBP-1), leptin, adiponectin, glucose, C-reactive protein (CRP), Interleukin-6 (IL-6), Interleukin-10 (IL-10), and tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-ɑ) levels after the intervention. CONCLUSIONS: Physical activity could improve the insulin function that might be associated with decreasing the levels of IGF-I, IGFBP-3 and insulin in breast cancer survivors.

Currently, due to abuse in the use of human antibiotics and the weak regulatory control that the authorities have over sewage discharge and manure management, antibiotic resistance genes (ARGs) have become a new type of environmental pollutant. Three different natural water bodies (Poyang Lake, Haihe River and Qingdao No.1 Bathing Beach seawater) were sampled during the same periods to conduct a longitudinal comparison of distribution. The distribution and expression of 11 ARGs in 20 species were studied, and the correlations between the expression and the distribution of time and space of the ARGs in different water bodies were also analyzed. With the exception of ermA, blaNDM-1 and vanA, which were not detected in seawater, the other ARGs could be detected in all three water bodies. Tetracycline resistance genes (tetC, tetM and tetQ) in the seawater and Haihe River had even reached 100%, and sulfa ARGs (sul1 and sul2) in the seawater and Poyang Lake, as well as sul2 and sul3 in the Haihe River, had also reached 100%. The ARG pollution in Haihe River was much more serious, since 14 and 17 of 20 ARG species were significantly higher compared with seawater and Poyang Lake, respectively. Some ARGs also had a high absolute abundance. The absolute abundance of macrolide resistance genes (ermB) in seawater was as high as 8.61 × 107 copies/L, and the anti-tuberculosis resistant genes (rpoB and katG) in the Haihe River Basin were highly abundant at 1.32 × 106 copies/L and 1.06 × 107 copies/L, respectively. This indicates that ARGs have gradually become more diverse and extensive in natural water bodies. The results of a redundancy analysis (RDA) of the three water bodies showed that although each water body is affected by different factors in space and time, overall, the presence of AGRs is closely related to the production and life of human beings and the migration of animals.

This study investigated the role of interleukin (IL)-9 and IL-10 in the pathogenesis of chronic spontaneous urticaria (CSU). Autologous serum skin test and histamine release test were performed in CSU patients and normal subjects. Kunming mice were used to develop a mouse model for CSU. We induced IL-9 overexpression, IL-10 overexpression, and JAK/STAT pathway inhibition as well as a combination of all three conditions in CSU and control mice. Eosinophils in the skin tissues, inflammatory cytokine expression, and distribution of T lymphocyte subsets in peripheral blood of mice were detected. Expression patterns of IL-9, IL-10, STAT3, JAK2, and INF-γ in clinical samples and mice were detected by reverse transcription quantitative polymerase chain reaction (RT-qPCR) and western blot analysis. The positive rate of autologous serum skin test and the histamine release rate of CSU patients, compared with normal subjects, were apparently elevated. Compared with controls, mice with CSU experienced longer duration and higher frequency of pruritus and demonstrated enhanced levels of CD8+ , the ratio of CD4+ /CD8+ , number of eosinophils, and inflammatory cytokine expression in serum as well as activated JAK/STAT signalling pathway; at the same time, levels of CD4+ and INF-γ were reduced. This trend was found in CSU mice overexpressing IL-9 and IL-10 when compared with the CSU mice without treatment. In contrast, JAK/STAT inhibition reversed the above trend. Overall, our study suggests that IL-9 and IL-10 contribute to CSU development via activation of the JAK/STAT signalling pathway.

BACKGROUND: E.coli is an important foodborne pathogen. Rapid and robust tracking of the source of E. coli is the key step to control foodborne infections. RESULTS: In this study, a genotyping and tracing method based on highly discriminatory single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) was developed to investigate the geographical origin of E. coli in food. A highly informative set of 12 SNPs was derived from 4 housekeeping genes in E. coli multilocus sequence typing (MLST) database. A collection of 253 E. coli isolates from food in 12 countries and regions were screened, resulting in a total of 61 profiles, 35 geographically specific SNP profiles were revealed and further verified by blind sample test. Also, the evolutionary relationship of 61 SNP profiles with different geographical origins was established by the enhanced analysis Based Upon Related Sequence Types (eBURST) analysis, which provided evidence that strains of different geographical origins owned the same ancestor strain. CONCLUSIONS: Our study established a powerful method based on a set of 12 SNPs for identifying geographical origins. The blind sample analysis proved that this SNPs panel had a high traceability of E. coli in food. Furthermore, this method based on SNPs combined with eBURST analysis revealed the potential evolutionary relationship between E.coli strains of different geographical origins.

Traditional microbe indicators including total bacteria, total coliforms, fecal coliforms, Escherichia coli, enterococci, and F+ coliphage are all frequently used to characterize the microbial contamination state of water bodies for their correlation with pathogenic bacteria. However, these indicators have a poor relationship with viruses, which pose serious threat to economic and human health. Alternative indicators such as bacteroidales may be suitable complementary alternatives to traditional microbe indicators and are being increasingly reported. In the present study, water was analyzed for selected sites along Haihe River in Tianjin for traditional indicators, an alternative indicator (bacteroidales), pathogenic bacteria (Salmonella, Escherichia coli (E. coli) O157:H7, and Vibrio parahaemolyticus), viruses (enteric adenovirus, norovirus, enterovirus, poliovirus and rotavirus), and physicochemical parameters. Results indicated that traditional microbe indicators detected in this study showed good correlation with pathogenic bacteria, and the alternative indicator (bacteroidales) had a surprisingly good relationship with viral presence. We propose that bacteroidales might be a suitable complementary indicator for viral contamination in water bodies.

BACKGROUND: Recreational water contaminated with fecal pollution poses a great public health concern, as fecal waste may cause serious waterborne illnesses. Current recreational water standards using fecal indicator bacteria (FIB) have their limitations for human protection especially in developing countries such as China. METHODS: To explore the potential use of enteric viruses as a potential indicator of fecal contamination, four viruses: norovirus geno-groups I and II, enteroviruses, and adenoviruses were tested in this study using molecular detection methods and sensitive RT-PC developed in the University of Hawaii. Water samples were also tested for FIB in order to determine their association with enteric virus detection. RESULTS: All sample sites tested positive for four enteric viruses. Human enterovirus (58%) and adenovirus (67%) were more frequently detected from these six sites, followed by norovirus I (50%) and norovirus II (38%). Six sampling sites all met the level-I water quality of GB3838-2002 criteria in microbiological level, but they all tested positive for enteric viruses. CONCLUSION: These findings indicate the current sewage contamination of Poyang Lake and also support the essential need of additional indicator such as human enteric viruses for enhanced monitoring of water quality since the presence of enteric viruses does not always correlate with fecal bacterial indicator detection.

Bacteriophages are widely used to the treatment of drug-resistant bacteria and the improvement of food safety through bacterial lysis. However, the limited investigations on bacteriophage restrict their further application. In this study, a novel and highly efficient method was developed for isolating bacteriophage from water based on the electropositive silica gel particles (ESPs) method. To optimize the ESPs method, we evaluated the eluent type, flow rate, pH, temperature, and inoculation concentration of bacteriophage using bacteriophage f2. The quantitative detection reported that the recovery of the ESPs method reached over 90%. The qualitative detection demonstrated that the ESPs method effectively isolated 70% of extremely low-concentration bacteriophage (100 PFU/100L). Based on the host bacteria composed of 33 standard strains and 10 isolated strains, the bacteriophages in 18 water samples collected from the three sites in the Tianjin Haihe River Basin were isolated by the ESPs and traditional methods. Results showed that the ESPs method was significantly superior to the traditional method. The ESPs method isolated 32 strains of bacteriophage, whereas the traditional method isolated 15 strains. The sample isolation efficiency and bacteriophage isolation efficiency of the ESPs method were 3.28 and 2.13 times higher than those of the traditional method. The developed ESPs method was characterized by high isolation efficiency, efficient handling of large water sample size and low requirement on water quality.

A cross-sectional study was conducted with 261 people living with HIV (PLWH) in Southeast China. A social capital questionnaire was used to measure social capital dimensions (trust, social connection, and social participation). A Chinese version of the Medical Outcomes Study HIV Health Survey (MOS-HIV) was used to assess Quality of Life (QoL); Physical Health Summary Scores (PHS) and Mental Health Summary Scores (MHS) were calculated. Multiple regression assessed whether social capital and its dimensions were associated with PHS and MHS. After controlling for sociodemographics and HIV-related factors, lower PHS scores were found among participants with low overall social capital (P < .01) and low trust (P < .001). Lower MHS scores were found among participants with low overall social capital (P < .001), low trust (P < .001) and low social connection (P < .01). Our findings identify potential intervention targets to improve QoL among PLWH in Southeast China, including the promotion of social capital.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the prevalence and its influential factors about personal life habits of sub-health of grade one students in high school in Nanchang City. METHODS: A self-designed sub-health questionnaire was used to measure the sub-health of 653 grade one students in high school in Nanchang sampled with stratified randomly cluster sampling. RESULTS: The prevalence of sub-health among the students was 85. 2% , and the prevalence. of physiological sub-health, psychological sub-health and social sub-health was 64. 3%, 55. 9% and 74. 7% respectively. In their personal life habits, the degree of activity, vegetables and fruits consumed, staying up late were the main influencing factors of sub-health (P < 0. 05). Girls, students in non-key class, cadres students, dieting students, those spending less time on physical exercises or eating less vegetables and fruits or staying up late more often were reported a higher rate of physiological sub-health (P <0. 05). Boarders or students in non-key class had a higher rate of psychological sub-health (P < 0. 05). Non-cadres students, those having less activity or having more time for entertainment or eating less vegetables and fruits had a higher risk of suffering social sub-health (P < 0. 05). CONCLUSION: The grade one students of high school in Nanchang had a high prevalence of sub-health. The prevalence of their sub-health could be effectively reduced by changing their bad habits of personal life. More attention should be given to girls, boarders, non-cadres students and students in non-key class.

INTRODUCTION: several studies have investigated the relationship between the estrogen receptor (ER) gene polymorphisms and the efficacy of estrogen replacement therapy in postmenopausal osteoporosis. However, the association of ER polymorphisms with the effects of dietary phytoestrogens on bone metabolism has not yet been reported. This study explores the possibility that ER alpha subtype (ERα) gene polymorphisms are involved in the effects of dietary phytoestrogens on bone mineral density (BMD) in postmenopausal women. METHODS: a total of 301 postmenopausal southern Chinese women were enrolled. Dietary phytoestrogen intake was evaluated using a food frequency questionnaire. ERα polymorphisms were examined with restriction fragment length polymorphism at the polymorphic PvuII and XbaI sites within intron 1. Dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry scans were performed to determine the BMD of the lumbar spine and hip. RESULTS: the positive association of the lumbar spine BMD with dietary phytoestrogen intake was maintained only in groups with pp or xx genotypes (p < 0.05) and disappeared in groups with other genotypes. A positive association of the hip BMD with dietary phytoestrogen intake was observed only in the xx genotype group (p < 0.05). CONCLUSIONS: the association of the dietary phytoestrogen intake and BMD in southern Chinese postmenopausal women varied with ERα gene polymorphisms.

Several empirical studies, particularly those conducted in developed countries, have linked social support to quality of life among persons living with HIV/AIDS (PLWA). However, few studies have been conducted in developing countries, such as China; therefore, the question of any association being present between social support and quality of life in PLWA in China remains unanswered. This retrospective cross-sectional study was conducted to examine the relationships between social support and quality of life among PLWA in the Jiangxi and Zhejiang provinces of China. A total of 377 PLWA participated in this study, and questionnaires used included demographics, the Chinese Medical Outcomes Study Short Form-36, and a Social Support Rating Scale, all of which were collected through face-to-face interviews between 1 March and 15 April 2013 in six different County Centers of Disease Control and Prevention in Jiangxi and Zhejiang provinces, and one hospital in the Jiangxi. The health-related quality of life score was 64.7±13.5 (out of a total score of 100), which was significantly lower than the national norm level of 78.2±15.9. The total score of social support was 29.4±7.8 (full score 66). The canonical correlation between social support and quality of participants' lives was shown to be statistically significant (p<0.0001). The relationship between subjective support and quality of life among PLWA was also significant (p=0.004). Subjective support and the use of social support showed a positive correlation with vitality, role-physical, and role-emotional, and a negative correlation with body pain. The current study suggests that PLWA with lower social support have diminished quality of life.

OBJECTIVE: To study the etiology and risk factors of infantile wheezing. METHODS: The clinical data of 180 infants with wheezing were retrospectively studied. The risk factors for wheezing attacks were investigated by logistic regression analysis. RESULTS: Viral infection (33.3%) was the most common cause for wheezing attacks, followed by asthma (19.4%), parental smoking and special environments (15.6%), gastroesophageal reflux disease (12.8%), premature delivery (7.8%), Mycoplasma infection (6.7%), and bronchopulmonary dysplasia (4.4%). The multivariate logistic regression analysis showed 7 factors that significantly correlated with wheezing attacks: allergic history of parents, sensitization to alimentary or inspiratory allergens, viral or Mycoplasma infection, premature delivery and special environments. CONCLUSIONS: The commonest cause of infantile wheezing is viral infection, followed by asthma. Genetic factors, individual atopic constitution and environmental factors play important roles in wheezing attacks.
