RESUMO

To evaluate the performance of "Vaccination Rates Monitoring Report System" implemented by Shenzhen CDC, we conducted an analysis of the data quality and identify key areas for system improvement. Following evaluation guidelines provided by WHO and United States CDC, we established six evaluation attributes: representativeness, simplicity, acceptability, data reliability, stability and timeliness. In eastern, central and western regions of Shenzhen, we selected one district from each region, of which the local CDC and ten CHSCs under jurisdiction were chosen for evaluation. On-site inspections, questionnaires survey and interviews were utilized for data collection, while the Likert scale method was used for attributes rating evaluation. A total of 70 participants were surveyed, consisting of 60 CHSCs and 10 CDCs staff. The gender ratio was 1:2.5 (males to females), with the majority falling within the 25-34 age range (46%). Most participants held full-time positions (80%) and had more than 5 years of work experience (62%). The system achieved 100% coverage of all CHSCs and CDCs (100%). The cumulative percentage scores for the overall favorable options of simplicity, acceptability, data reliability, stability, and timeliness were 79%, 85%, 73%, 50%, and 71% respectively. The system operates normally with strong representativeness. Acceptability was rated as "good." Simplicity, data reliability, and system timeliness were rated as "average," while system stability was rated as "poor." Based on these survey results, developers should urgently investigate reasons for poor stability, particularly addressing concerns from CHSCs users. Additionally, the issues and shortcomings identified in other attributes should also be gradually improved.

RESUMO

Immunotherapy has dramatically changed the landscape of treatment for colorectal cancer (CRC), but currently lack of effective predictive biomarker, especially for tumors with mismatch repair (MMR) proficiency. The response of immunotherapy is associated with the cell-cell interactions in tumor microenvironment, encompassing processes such as cell-cell recognition, binding, and adhesion. However, the function of immunoglobulin superfamily (IGSF) genes in tumor immune microenvironment remains uncharacterized. This study quantified the immune landscape by leveraging a gene expression matrix from publicly accessible databases. The associations between IGSF6 gene expression and immune cell infiltration were assessed. The expression levels of IGSF6, CD8+ T cells, CD4+ T cells and CD68+ macrophage cells in cancer tissues from CRC patients and CRC cell lines were evaluated. IGSF6 was more highly expressed in CRC tumor tissues than adjacent normal tissues. And IGSF6 was significantly correlated with immune cell infiltration in MMR-proficient patients. Remarkably, MMR-proficient patients with high IGSF6 expression showed more sensitive to immunotherapy and chemotherapy than those with low IGSF6 expression. In summary, IGSF6 could be a novel biomarker to evaluate immune infiltration and predict therapeutic effect for MMR-proficient CRC.

RESUMO

Point cloud registration plays a crucial role in 3D mapping and localization. Urban scene point clouds pose significant challenges for registration due to their large data volume, similar scenarios, and dynamic objects. Estimating the location by instances (bulidings, traffic lights, etc.) in urban scenes is a more humanized matter. In this paper, we propose PCRMLP (point cloud registration MLP), a novel model for urban scene point cloud registration that achieves comparable registration performance to prior learning-based methods. Compared to previous works that focused on extracting features and estimating correspondence, PCRMLP estimates transformation implicitly from concrete instances. The key innovation lies in the instance-level urban scene representation method, which leverages semantic segmentation and density-based spatial clustering of applications with noise (DBSCAN) to generate instance descriptors, enabling robust feature extraction, dynamic object filtering, and logical transformation estimation. Then, a lightweight network consisting of Multilayer Perceptrons (MLPs) is employed to obtain transformation in an encoder-decoder manner. Experimental validation on the KITTI dataset demonstrates that PCRMLP achieves satisfactory coarse transformation estimates from instance descriptors within a remarkable time of 0.0028 s. With the incorporation of an ICP refinement module, our proposed method outperforms prior learning-based approaches, yielding a rotation error of 2.01° and a translation error of 1.58 m. The experimental results highlight PCRMLP's potential for coarse registration of urban scene point clouds, thereby paving the way for its application in instance-level semantic mapping and localization.

RESUMO

In this study, Fe conversion during hydrothermal carbonization (HTC) of coking sludge were investigated, and the effect mechanism of Fe component on the adsorption performance of coking sludge hydrochar (CHC) was explored. The results showed that after HTC treatment, more than 95 % of Fe remained in the CHC. Fe3+ was reduced to Fe2+ by sugar and amino acids. Fe was stabilized during the HTC process and was still predominantly in the Fe manganese oxidation state. The CHC prepared at 270 °C exhibited excellent adsorption capacities for Congo red (CR), tetracycline (TC), and Cr (VI). Their maximum adsorption capacities were 140.85, 147.06, and 19.92 mg/g, respectively. Quantitative adsorption mechanism experiments, XRD and VSM characterization revealed that Fe component played a significant role in adsorption, and CHC with more Fe3O4 exhibited better adsorption capacity. The results of the XPS characterization of CHC before and after adsorption showed that Fe3O4 provided rich Fe adsorption sites on the surface of CHC to strengthen the adsorption efficiency of pollutants through Fe3+/Fe2+ reduction and complexation of Fe-O/N. In addition, the formed Fe3O4 also imparted CHC with magnetic properties (Ms = 4.12 emu/g) to facilitate the subsequent separation and recovery. These results demonstrated that the prepared CHC has great potential for treating actual wastewater containing CR and TC.

RESUMO

Background: The mpox (monkeypox) outbreak has been declared to be a public health emergency of international concern by the Director-General of World Health Organization in July 2022. However, evidence regarding the awareness, knowledge, and worry about mpox in the general population remains scant. Methods: A community-based survey targeting community residents was preliminarily conducted in Shenzhen, China in August 2022 by using a convenience sampling method. Information on mpox-related awareness, knowledge, and worry was collected from each participant. Binary logistic regression analyses with the stepwise procedure were applied to explore the factors associated with awareness, knowledge, and worry about mpox. Results: A total of 1028 community residents were included in the analysis (mean age: 34.70 years). Among these participants, 77.9% had ever heard of mpox, and 65.3% were aware of the global outbreak of mpox. However, only about half of them had a high level of knowledge regarding mpox (56.5%) and related symptoms (49.7%). More than one-third of them (37.1%) expressed a high level of worry about mpox. Having high knowledge levels of mpox and related symptoms were positively associated with a high level of worry (OR: 1.79, 95%CI: 1.22~2.63 for a single high knowledge level; OR: 1.98, 95%CI: 1.47~2.66 for both high knowledge levels). Conclusions: This study identified the gaps in public awareness and specific knowledge of mpox in Chinese people, providing scientific evidence for the prevention and control network of mpox at the community level. Targeted health education programs are of urgent need, which should be implemented along with psychological interventions to release public worry if necessary.

RESUMO

AIMS: Gastric hypersensitivity (GHS) is a characteristic pathogenesis of functional dyspepsia (FD). DNA methyltransferase 1 (DNMT1) and acid-sensing ion channel 1 (ASIC1) are associated with GHS induced by prenatal maternal stress (PMS). The aim of this study was to investigate the mechanism of DNMT1 mediating the analgesic effect of folic acid (FA) on PMS-induced GHS. METHODS: GHS was quantified by electromyogram recordings. The expression of DNMT1, DNMT3a, DNMT3b, and ASIC1 were detected by western blot, RT-PCR, and double-immunofluorescence. Neuronal excitability and proton-elicited currents of dorsal root ganglion (DRG) neurons were determined by whole-cell patch clamp recordings. RESULTS: The expression of DNMT1, but not DNMT3a or DNMT3b, was decreased in DRGs of PMS rats. FA alleviated PMS-induced GHS and hyperexcitability of DRG neurons. FA also increased DNMT1 and decreased ASIC1 expression and sensitivity. Intrathecal injection of DNMT1 inhibitor DC-517 attenuated the effect of FA on GHS alleviation and ASIC1 downregulation. Overexpression of DNMT1 with lentivirus not only rescued ASIC1 upregulation and hypersensitivity, but also alleviated GHS and hyperexcitability of DRG neurons induced by PMS. CONCLUSIONS: These results indicate that increased DNMT1 contributes to the analgesic effect of FA on PMS-induced GHS by reducing ASIC1 expression and sensitivity.

RESUMO

Because of its high prevalence and poor long-term clinical treatment effect, liver disease is regarded as a major public health problem around the world. Among them, viral hepatitis, fatty liver, cirrhosis, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD), and autoimmune liver disease are common causes and inducements of liver injury, and play an important role in the occurrence and development of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). Tanshinone IIA (TsIIA) is a fat soluble polyphenol of Salvia miltiorrhiza that is extracted from Salvia miltiorrhiza. Because of its strong biological activity (anti-inflammatory, antioxidant), it is widely used in Asia to treat cardiovascular and liver diseases. In addition, TsIIA has shown significant anti-HCC activity in previous studies. It not only has significant anti proliferation and pro apoptotic properties. It can also play an anti-cancer role by mediating a variety of signal pathways, including phosphatidylinositol-3-kinase (PI3K)/protein kinase B (Akt)/rapamycin (mTOR), mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK), and nuclear factor kappa-B (NF-κB). This review not only reviews the existing evidence and molecular mechanism of TsIIA's anti-HCC effect but also reviews the liver-protective effect of TsIIA and its impact on liver fibrosis, NAFLD, and other risk factors for liver cancer. In addition, we also conducted network pharmacological analysis on TsIIA and HCC to further screen and explore the possible targets of TsIIA against hepatocellular carcinoma. It is expected to provide a theoretical basis for the development of anti-HCC-related drugs based on TsIIA.

RESUMO

Superparamagnetic Fe3O4 particles have been synthesized by solvothermal method, and a layer of dense silica sol polymer is coated on the surface prepared by sol-gel technique; then La(OH)3 covered the surface of silica sol polymer in an irregular shape by controlled in situ growth technology. These magnetic materials are characterized by TEM, FT-IR, XRD, SEM, EDS and VSM; the results show that La(OH)3 nanoparticles have successfully modified on Fe3O4 surface. The prepared Fe3O4@La(OH)3 inorganic polymer has been used as adsorbent to remove phosphate efficiently. The effects of solution pH, adsorbent dosage and co-existing ions on phosphate removal are investigated. Moreover, the adsorption kinetic equation and isothermal model are used to describe the adsorption performance of Fe3O4@La(OH)3. It was observed that Fe3O4@La(OH)3 exhibits a fast equilibrium time of 20 min, high phosphate removal rate (>95.7%), high sorption capacity of 63.72 mgP/g, excellent selectivity for phosphate in the presence of competing ions, under the conditions of phosphate concentration 30 mgP/L, pH = 7, adsorbent dose 0.6 g/L and room temperature. The phosphate adsorption process by Fe3O4@La(OH)3 is best described by the pseudo-second-order equation and Langmuir isotherm model. Furthermore, the real samples and reusability experiment indicate that Fe3O4@La(OH)3 could be regenerated after desorption, and 92.78% phosphate removing remained after five cycles. Therefore, La(OH)3 nanoparticles deposited on the surface of monodisperse Fe3O4 microspheres have been synthesized for the first time by a controlled in-situ growth method. Experiments have proved that Fe3O4@La(OH)3 particles with fast separability, large adsorption capacity and easy reusability can be used as a promising material in the treatment of phosphate wastewater or organic pollutants containing phosphoric acid functional group.

RESUMO

Background: In the Montreal classification, L4 Crohn's disease (CD) is defined as an ileal disease, including L4-esophagogastric duodenum (EGD), L4-jejunum, and L4-proximal ileal involvement. According to the previous studies, the prognosis of L4 disease was worse than that of non-L4 disease. Among L4 diseases, the phenotypes of L4-jejunum and L4-proximal ileum indicated that the risk of abdominal surgery was higher. However, the prognosis of L4-esophagogastroduodenal remains largely elusive. Therefore, we aim to investigate whether the prognosis differs between CD patients with and without esophagogastroduodenal involvement. Methods: In this study, patients with L4-EGD phenotype (n = 74) who underwent gastroscopy, ileocolonoscopy, biopsies, and CTE from 2018 to 2020 were compared with L4 non-EGD controls (n = 148) who were randomly selected at a ratio of 1:2 in the same period. Demographic information inclusive of disease conduct and location, important points of the surgery, and hospitalization have been collected. The distinction between L4-EGD patients and non-L4-EGD patients was identified by way of multivariable logistic regression analysis. The Kaplan-Meier technique was used to consider the possibility of abdominal surgical operation and complications, observed by means of Cox percentage hazard fashions to decide if L4 EGD independently estimated the endpoints inclusive of the abdominal surgery and the occurrences of complications. Results: L4-EGD group (n = 74) had a lower proportion of intestinal fistula than the control group (n = 148) (17.6% versus 34.5%; p = 0.009), and the probabilities of requiring abdominal surgery and multiple abdominal surgeries were also lower (21.6% versus 36.5%; p = 0.025), (6.8% versus 18.9%; p = 0.016), respectively. The frequency of hospitalization was lower in the L4-EGD group than in the control group (3-7 versus 4-9; p = 0.013). L4-EGD phenotype was found to be an independent protective factor for abdominal surgery and intestinal fistula in the Cox regression model, with HRs of 0.536 (95%CI: 0.305-0.940; p = 0.030) and 0.478 (95%CI: 0.259-0.881; p = 0.018), respectively. Conclusion: Our data suggest that the L4-EGD phenotype may have a better prognosis compared to the Non-L4-EGD phenotype. Our data may advocate a revision of the Montreal classification including separate designations for L4-EGD disease.

RESUMO

Sentiment analysis of netizens' comments can accurately grasp the psychology of netizens and reduce the risks brought by online public opinion. However, there is currently no effective method to solve the problems of short text, open word range, and sometimes reversed word order in comments. To better solve the above problems, this article proposes a hybrid model of sentiment classification, which is based on bidirectional encoder representations from transformers (BERT), bidirectional long short-term memory (BiLSTM) and a text convolution neural network (TextCNN) (BERT-BiLSTM-TextCNN). The experimental results show that (1) the hybrid model proposed in this article can better combine the advantages of BiLSTM and TextCNN; it not only captures local correlation while retaining context information but also has high accuracy and stability. (2) The BERT-BiLSTM-TextCNN model can extract important emotional information more flexibly in text and achieve multiclass classification tasks of emotions more accurately. The innovations of this study are as follows: (1) the use of BERT to generate word vectors has the advantages of more prior information and a full combination of contextual semantics; (2) the BiLSTM model, as a bidirectional context mechanism model, can obtain contextual information well; and (3) the TextCNN model can obtain important features well in the problem of text classification, and the combined effect of the three modules can significantly improve the accuracy of emotional multilabel classification.

RESUMO

AIMS: Visceral hypersensitivity is a major clinic symptom in patients with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). Anterior cingulate cortex (ACC) is involved in processing the information of pain. Both G protein-coupled receptor kinase 6 (GRK6) and P2Y purinoceptor 6 (P2Y6) are associated with neuroinflammation and pathological pain. The aim of this study was to investigate the interaction between GRK6 and P2Y6 in ACC in the development of visceral hypersensitivity of adult offspring rats with prenatal maternal stress (PMS). METHODS: Visceral hypersensitivity was quantified by abdominal withdrawal reflex threshold to colorectal distension (CRD). The expression and cellular distribution of GRK6 and P2Y6 were determined by Western blotting, qPCR, and fluorescence immunohistochemistry. Co-immunoprecipitation was used to evaluate the interaction between GRK6 and P2Y6. RESULTS: The mRNA and protein levels of GRK6 were significantly decreased in ACC of PMS rats. The injection of GRK6 overexpression virus significantly attenuated visceral hypersensitivity of PMS rats. P2Y6's mRNA level, protein level, and ratio of membrane protein over total protein expression was markedly increased in PMS rats. P2Y6 antagonist MRS2578 microinjection reversed visceral hypersensitivity of PMS rats. GRK6 overexpression significantly reduced P2Y6's expression in membrane proteins and P2Y6's ratio of membrane protein over total protein expression. CONCLUSIONS: These results indicate that decreased GRK6 leads to the accumulation of P2Y6 at neuron membrane in ACC, thereby contributing to visceral hypersensitivity of PMS rats.

RESUMO

Our objective was to describe the epidemiological features of an outbreak of norovirus infection in a health school in Guangdong province, China, to identify the cause of such a large scale outbreak of norovirus among older students, to simulate the transmission dynamics, and to evaluate the effect of intervention measures of GII.17 [P17] genotype norovirus infection. We identified all cases during the outbreak. Descriptive epidemiological, analytical epidemiological and hygiene survey methods were used to described the outbreak epidemic course and identify the cause of the outbreak of norovirus infection. We also used dynamical model to simulate the transmission dynamics of norovirus infection and evaluate the effect of intervention measures. Norovirus genotyping was assigned to the newly obtained strains, with a maximum likelihood phylogenetic analysis conducted. There were 360 cases of 42 classes in five grades with a 12.99% attack rate. Proportionally, more students were in contact with sick students and vomit in the suspected case group than the control group (χ2 = 5.535, P = 0.019 and χ2 = 5.549, P = 0.019, respectively). The basic reproduction number was 8.32 before and 0.49 after the intervention. Dynamical modeling showed that if the isolation rate was higher or case isolation began earlier, the total attack rate would decrease. Molecular characterization identified the GII.17 [P17] genotype in all stains obtained from the health school, which were clustered with high support in the phylogenetic tree. This was an outbreak of norovirus infection caused by contact transmission. The main reasons for the spread of the epidemic were the later control time, irregular treatment of vomit and no case isolation. The transmission dynamics of contact transmission was high, more efficient control measures should be employed.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Parental attitudes towards the vaccines play a key role in the success of the herd immunity for the COVID-19. Psychological health seems to be a controversial determinant of vaccine hesitancy and remains to be investigated. This study attempted to measure parental psychological distress, attitudes towards the COVID-19 vaccine, and to explore the potential associations. METHODS: An online survey using convenience sampling method was conducted among parents within the school public health network of Shenzhen. Demographic information and attitudes towards COVID-19 vaccination were collected. The Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-4) was applied to measure psychological distress. RESULTS: Overall, 4,748 parents were included (average age: 40.28, standard deviation: 5.08). More than one fifth of them demonstrated psychological distress, in which only 3.3% were moderate to severe symptom. The proportions of COVID-19 vaccine hesitancy for themselves, their spouses, and their children were 25.2%, 26.1%, and 27.3%, respectively. Parents with psychological distress were more likely to suffer vaccine hesitancy for themselves (OR: 1.277, 95%CI: 1.091~1.494), for their spouses (OR:1.276, 95%CI: 1.088~1.496) and children (OR:1.274, 95%CI: 1.092~1.486). These associations tended to be more significant among parents with mild or severe psychological distress. LIMITATION: Non-random sampling limited the generalization of our findings to all parents. CONCLUSION: Parents had a low level of psychological distress but relatively high willingness of COVID-19 vaccination when there was no local epidemic but persistent risk of imported cases. Targeted health education and intervention strategies should be provided to people with vaccine hesitancy, especially for those who are susceptible to psychological distress.

RESUMO

AIMS: Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a common functional gastrointestinal disease characterized by abdominal pain. Our recent study has shown that the acid-sensitive ion channel 1 (ASIC1) in dorsal root ganglion (DRG) is involved in stomachache of adult offspring rats subjected with prenatal maternal stress (PMS). MiR-485 is predicted to target the expression of ASIC1. The aim of the present study was designed to determine whether miR-485/ASIC1 signaling participates in enterodynia in the spinal dorsal horn of adult offspring rats with PMS. METHODS: Enterodynia was measured by colorectal distension (CRD). Western blotting, qPCR, and in situ hybridization were performed to detect the expression of ASICs and related miRNAs. Spinal synaptic transmission was also recorded by patch clamping. RESULTS: PMS offspring rats showed that spinal ASIC1 protein expression and synaptic transmission were significantly enhanced. Administration of ASICs antagonist amiloride suppressed the synaptic transmission and enterodynia. Besides, PMS induced a significant reduction in the expression of miR-485. Upregulating the expression markedly attenuated enterodynia, reversed the increase in ASIC1 protein and synaptic transmission. Furthermore, ASIC1 and miR-485 were co-expressed in NeuN-positive spinal dorsal horn neurons. CONCLUSIONS: Overall, these data suggested that miR-485 participated in enterodynia in PMS offspring, which is likely mediated by the enhanced ASIC1 activities.

RESUMO

Previous invisible gateways are mainly based on super-scattering effect, which can only work for the perfect electric conductor (PEC) wall, while no further exploration is conducted for the walls made of other materials (i.e., the actual wall is not PEC). In this study, we design an asymmetric universal invisible gateway by transformation optics, which is versatile for applying arbitrary materials as wall materials. In addition, its unique asymmetric structure leads to the difference of the detection results when the relative position of the detection source and the invisible gateway changes: one side can only see a complete wall (no gateway) and the other side can detect the gateway in the middle of the wall. This research advances a new step for the specific application of invisible gateway.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Neisseria meningitidis is a major cause of bacterial meningitis, and these infections are associated with a high mortality rate. Rapid and reliable diagnosis of bacterial meningitis is critical in clinical practice. However, this disease often occurs in economically depressed areas, so an inexpensive, easy to use, and accurate technology is needed. We performed a pooled-analysis to assess the potential of the recently developed loop-mediated isothermal amplification (LAMP) assay for detection of meningococcus. METHODS: Pubmed, Embase, and Web of Science were searched to identify original studies that used the LAMP assay to detect meningococcus. After pooling of data, the sensitivity and specificity were calculated, a summary receiver operating characteristic (SROC) curve was determined, and the area under the SROC curve was computed to determine diagnostic accuracy. Publication bias was assessed using Deek's funnel plot. RESULTS: We examined 14 studies within 6 publications. The LAMP assay had high sensitivity (94%) and specificity (100%) in the detection of meningococcus in all studies. The area under the SROC curve (0.980) indicated high overall accuracy of the LAMP assay. There was no evidence of publication bias. DISCUSSION: The LAMP assay has accuracy comparable to bacterial culture and PCR for detection of meningococcus, but is less expensive and easier to use. We suggest the adoption of the LAMP assay to detect meningococcus, especially in economically depressed areas.

RESUMO

AIMS: The arcuate nucleus is a vital brain region for coursing of pain command. G protein-coupled kinase 6 (GRK6) accommodates signaling through G protein-coupled receptors. Studies have demonstrated that GRK6 is involved in inflammatory pain and neuropathic pain. The present study was designed to explore the role and the underlying mechanism of GRK6 in arcuate nucleus of chronic visceral pain. METHODS: Chronic visceral pain of rats was induced by neonatal maternal deprivation and evaluated by monitoring the threshold of colorectal distension. Western blotting, immunofluorescence, real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction techniques, and Nissl staining were employed to determine the expression and mutual effect of GRK6 with nuclear factor κB (NF-κB). RESULTS: Expression of GRK6 in arcuate nucleus was significantly reduced in neonatal maternal deprivation rats when compared with control rats. GRK6 was mainly expressed in arcuate nucleus neurons, but not in astrocytes, and a little in microglial cells. Neonatal maternal deprivation reduced the percentage of GRK6-positive neurons of arcuate nucleus. Overexpression of GRK6 by Lentiviral injection into arcuate nucleus reversed chronic visceral pain in neonatal maternal deprivation rats. Furthermore, the expression of NF-κB in arcuate nucleus was markedly upregulated in neonatal maternal deprivation rats. NF-κB selective inhibitor pyrrolidine dithiocarbamate suppressed chronic visceral pain in neonatal maternal deprivation rats. GRK6 and NF-κB were expressed in the arcuate nucleus neurons. Importantly, overexpression of GRK6 reversed NF-κB expression at the protein level. In contrast, injection of pyrrolidine dithiocarbamate once daily for seven consecutive days did not alter GRK6 expression in arcuate nucleus of neonatal maternal deprivation rats. CONCLUSIONS: Present data suggest that GRK6 might be a pivotal molecule participated in the central mechanisms of chronic visceral pain, which might be mediated by inhibiting NF-κB signal pathway. Overexpression of GRK6 possibly represents a potential strategy for therapy of chronic visceral pain.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: At present, the infection and prevalence rates of tuberculosis (TB) are still high in worldwide. The Xpert MTB/RIF technology has improved the diagnosis speed of Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MTB) and facilitated the rapid treatment of TB patients. METHODS: We searched experimental data derived from Xpert MTB/RIF for detecting MTB in gastric aspirates in PubMed, Embase, Web Of Science, and the Cochrane Library databases between January 2012 to April 2019. A summary receiver operating characteristic curve (SROC curve) was used to analyze the pooled sensitivity, pooled specificity, PLR, NLR, and DOR for determining the accuracy of the test. RESULTS: Our database search resulted in 10 relevant articles. The pooled sensitivity of Xpert MTB/RIF for detecting TB in GA was 86% (95% CI, 83-89%), and I2 = 93.4%. The pooled specificity was 92% (95% CI, 90-93%) and I2 = 97.8%. In addition, the positive LR was 12.12 (95% CI, 5.60-26.21), negative LR was 0.20 (95% CI, 0.11-0.36), and the diagnostic odds ratio (DOR) was 147.04 (95% CI, 37.20-581.19). Using the SROC curve, the AUC was 0.9730 and Q* was 0.9248 (SE = 0.0261). The publication bias was P=0.517 (P>0.05). CONCLUSIONS: The Xpert MTB/RIF for detecting MTB in gastric aspirates was highly accurate. In addition, we observed that the publication bias in the present study was low. Hence, the Xpert MTB/RIF technology is highly accurate and has the advantage of rapid testing for MTB in clinical samples.

RESUMO

This study aimed to assess the effects of cognitive behavioral therapy on the psychological and physiological health of rheumatoid arthritis patients. An extensive literature search was conducted, using the PubMed, Web of Science, Cochrane Library, Embase, CNKI Scholar, WanFang, and VIP databases, from inception to December2018. The quality of the studies was evaluated by 2 independent authors, according to the basic criteria provided by the Cochrane Handbook for evaluating randomized trials. Meta-analysis was performed with Review Manager 5.3. Six randomized controlled trials met the inclusion criteria of the current study. Using standard mean differences (SMD) and 95% confidence intervals (CI), our results showed that cognitive behavioral therapy could significantly reduce levels of anxiety (SMD = -0.30, 95% CI [-0.52, -0.09], P= 0.005) and depression (SMD = -0.48, 95% CI [-0.70, -0.27], P< 0.00001), and relieve fatigue symptoms (SMD = -0.35, 95% CI [-0.60, -0.10], P= 0.006) in rheumatoid arthritis patients. This is the first known assessment of the efficacy of cognitive behavioral therapy on rheumatoid arthritis patients using meta-analysis. Large-scale randomized controlled trials need to be implemented to further explore this issue.
