RESUMO

Objective: To understand the current status of personal protection in occupational population at high risk for brucellosis in China and provide evidence for the evaluation of implementation of National Brucellosis Prevention and Control Plan (2016-2020). Methods: Four counties in Shanxi Province and Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region were selected to conduct a questionnaire survey in occupational population at high risk for brucellosis from December 2019 to July 2020 by using cross-sectional survey methods. Results: A total of 2 384 persons at high risk for brucellosis were surveyed, and the standardized utilization rate of personal protective equipment (PPE) was 20.13% (480/2 384). The utilization rate of glove, mask, rubber shoe, and work cloth were 38.26% (912/2 384), 31.80% (758/2 384), 32.01% (763/2 384) and 30.87% (736/2 384),respectively. There were significant differences in the utilization rate and standardized utilization rate of the four types of PPE among populations in different age, occupation, educational level and area groups (all P<0.001). The utilization rate and standardized utilization rate of PPE were lower in people over 60 years old, women, farmers, and those with lower educational level. The results of multivariate analysis showed that occupation and area were the influencing factors for the standardized utilization of PPE, the standardized utilization rates of PPE were higher in herdsmen and veterinarians. The standardized utilization rate of PPE in Yanggao County and Huocheng County was significantly higher than that in Zuoyun County and Hunyuan County. Conclusions: The utilization rate of the four types of PPE in occupational population at high risk for brucellosis was not high in China, and the standardized utilization rate was low, lower than the requirement in National Brucellosis Prevention and Control Plan, and there were significant differences among different areas. It is urgent to distribute PPE to occupational population at high risk for brucellosis and carry out health education about PPE utilization. Meanwhile, it is necessary to strengthen information exchange or sharing among different areas.

RESUMO

Objective: To systematically evaluate the correlation between prenatal steroid exposure and hypoglycemia in late preterm neonates. Methods: Eight databases in either Chinese or English, including PubMed, the Cochrane Library, Embase, Medline, Scopus, CNKI, Wanfang and VIP, were searched to extract the studies on the correlation between prenatal steroid exposure and hypoglycemia in late preterm neonates published from the establishment of each database to December 2022. The Meta-analysis was performed using Stata 14.0 statistical software. Results: A total of 9 studies were included in this Meta-analysis, including 6 retrospective cohort studies, 2 prospective cohort studies and 1 randomized controlled trial (RCT) study, involving 9 143 premature infants. The Meta-analysis showed that prenatal steroid exposure increased the risk of late preterm neonatal hypoglycemia (RR=1.55, 95%CI 1.25-1.91, P<0.001). The similar correlation between prenatal steroid exposure and hypoglycemia in late preterm neonates was all found in the following subgroups: North America (RR=1.57, 95%CI 1.37-1.80, P<0.001), enrolling pregnant women with gestational diabetes (RR=1.62, 95%CI 1.26-2.08, P<0.001), A-grade literature quality (RR=1.43, 95%CI 1.14-1.79, P=0.002), criteria for hypoglycemia ≤40 mg/dl (1 mg/dl=0.056 mmol/L, RR=1.49, 95%CI 1.28-1.73, P<0.001), sample size of 501-1 500 (RR=1.69, 95%CI 1.19-2.40, P=0.003) and >1 500 (RR=1.65, 95%CI 1.48-1.83, P<0.001), steroid injection dosage and frequency of 12 mg 2 times (RR=1.66, 95%CI 1.50-1.84, P<0.001), the time interval from antenatal corticosteroid administration to delivery of 24-47 h (RR=1.98, 95%CI 1.26-3.10, P=0.003), unadjusted gestational age (RR=1.78, 95%CI 1.02-3.10,P=0.043) and unadjusted birth weight (RR=1.80, 95%CI 1.22-2.66, P=0.003). Meta-regression results showed that steroid injection frequency and dose were the main sources of high heterogeneity among studies (P=0.030). Conclusion: Prenatal steroid exposure may be a risk factor for hypoglycemia in late preterm neonates.

RESUMO

Objective: To investigate the clinical, pathological and genetic characteristics of neonatal alveolar capillary dysplasia with misalignment of the pulmonary veins (ACDMPV). Methods: The clinical manifestations, radiographic examinations, pathology and parental genetic analysis of a newborn with FOXF1 variation induced ACDMPV, who was hospitalized in the Department of Neonatology of Shenzhen Children's Hospital in January 2020, were extracted and analyzed. Related literature up to March 2020 with the key words of "Alveolar capillaries dysplasia" "Alveolar capillary dysplasia with misalignment of the pulmonary veins" "FOXF1" in PubMed, CNKI, Wanfang, CQVIP database and Leiden Open Variation database (LOVD) were searched. Results: A full-term male newborn (1 hour of age) was admitted due to anal atresia. Surgical repair of anal atresia and omphalocele was performed on the first day of life, and gallbladder absence and Meckel's diverticulum were identified during the operation. Respiratory distress with hypoxemia developed at about 6 hours of life, and persistent pulmonary hypertension developed and progressed after surgery, with poor response to mechanical ventilation and pulmonary vasodilators. This infant passed away at 26 days of life. Lung biopsy showed decreased alveolar units and thickened interalveolar septa, reduced alveolar capillary density and thickened walls of peripheral pulmonary arteries, and misaligned pulmonary veins adjacent to the pulmonary arterioles, which were consistent with ACDMPV. The whole exome sequencing revealed a heterozygous novel frameshift of FOXF1 gene located in chromosome 16q24.1 c376_377insT; p.(Pro126fs). According to the bioinformatics analysis, this variation was likely to be pathogenic as it was associated with coding disorder of FOXF1 Pro126, resulting in truncation of the encoded protein. This novel variation had not been reported in the human gene mutation database (HGMD), ESP6500siv2_ALL, 1000g2015aug_ALL or dbSNP147 database. Previous 6 literatures reported 54 variants, including 28 missense, 10 nonsense, 11 frameshift, 2 deletion, 1 synonymous, and 2 extensions. Only three of the reported 45 cases (24 males, 21 females) were still alive as of the time of this study. Conclusions: Typically, ACDMPV is a catastrophic disease in neonatal period with high mortality. Lung biopsy and genetic testing should be considered in infants who present with persistent pulmonary hypertension and refractory hypoxemia, especially when combined with extrapulmonary abnormalities.

RESUMO

The title compounds were synthesized by condensation of 5-fluoro- 2, 4, 6-triaminoquinazoline (6a) with various substituted benzaldehydes to produce the corresponding Schiff bases, followed by reduction. II and III were obtained by formylation and nitrosation of I, respectively, IV were obtained by reduction of II. Primary screening for suppressive therapeutic effects against P. berghei in mice showed that six of the twenty-two compounds produced 100% suppression when administered orally at a dose of 1 mg.kg-1. All compounds exhibited potent activity against L1210 cell in vitro. Among them I4 was more active than MTX. A number of compounds showed moderate activities against Diplococcus pneumoniae in vitro tests.

RESUMO

The present paper reported on an anti-CCA monoclonal antibody, McAb-IIID 10, which could be used in determinations of both parasite-oriented circulating antigens and specific anti-CCA antibodies. The established competitive ELISA (C-ELISA) using McAb-IIID 10 to detect schistosome-antibodies showed high sensitivity and specificity in the diagnosis of schistosomiasis with few cross-reactions. In field trials, coincident rates in 3 separate batches of serum samples when subjected to double-blind detections were obtained. A total of 1,915 serum samples had been determined by C-ELISA, among them 113 acute cases achieved a 100% positive rate, 765 chronic and 25 late cases showed 96.3% and 72% positive respectively. 70% of the 66 cured schistosomiasis cases turned to be negative. None of the 750 normal individuals showed positive reactions. No cross reaction was found in 27 sera from hydatidosis, whereas 1 and 2 positive reactions were found in 43 paragonimiasis sera and 126 clonorchiasis sera respectively. The established McAb-IIID 10 involved Dot-ELISA was found of value in the assessment of effective chemotherapy and showed a high negative conversion rate of 97.9% in 48 cured schistosomiasis patients. In 16 experimentally infected rabbits, 12 became negative in Dot-ELISA determinations at the 8th week post treatment, and the remaining 4 treated ones, the titer as well as the reaction intensity were also found reduced. A good coincidence rate was also found between C-ELISA and Dot-ELISA, their detection results may be complementary each other.

RESUMO

Title compounds were synthesized by condensation of 5-chloro-2,4,6-triaminoquinazoline (8) with various substituted benzaldehydes to produce the corresponding Schiff bases, followed by reduction with NaBH4, II and III were obtained by formylation or nitrosation of I respectively. Primary screening for suppressive therapeutic effects against P. berghei in mice showed that eight of the twelve compounds produced 100% suppression when administered orally at dose of 20 mg/kg. The results against L1210 Leukemia cell and B16 melanoma cell in vitro exhibited potent inhibition. Among them four compounds were more active than MTX and SIPI 759. Further work is in process. Antibacterial tests in vitro showed that a number of compounds possessed moderate activities against Diplococcus pneumoniae.
