Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is a rare and heterogeneous disease. Over the past few decades, patient prognosis has improved with continuous improvements in treatment, but outcomes for some patients with primary drug resistance or relapse after treatment remain poor. Additional therapies to improve outcomes for these patients are urgently needed. FYB1 expression differs substantially between AML tissues and normal tissues. High FYB1 expression is correlated with poorer overall survival (OS), indicating that FYB1 may regulate AML progression. Therefore, understanding the effect of FYB1 on AML could improve the success rate of therapeutic approaches and prognosis for patients with AML. In this study, through analysis of large databases and both in vivo and in vitro experiments, we assessed the expression and role of FYB1 in AML and the relationship of FYB with patient prognosis. Downstream targets of the FYB1 gene were analyzed by RNA-seq. Database mining and in vitro experiments were used to further clarify the effect of the downstream target gelsolin-like actin-capping protein (CAPG) on AML cells and its relationship with patient prognosis. FYB1 expression was significantly higher in AML tissue and corresponded with a poor prognosis. FYB1 knockdown inhibited AML cell proliferation, promoted cell apoptosis, reduced cell adhesion capability and significantly reduced the tumor formation rate in mice. In addition, FYB1 knockdown induced a notable decrease in CAPG expression. The suppression of CAPG significantly inhibited cell proliferation and increased cell apoptosis. The conclusions of this study underscore the pivotal role of the FYB1/CAPG axis in promoting AML. We propose that the FYB1/CAPG axis could serve as a new thread in the development of therapeutic strategies for AML.

Diabetic neuropathic pain (DNP) is a frequent complication of diabetes. Calcium/calmodulin-dependent protein kinase II α (CaMKIIα), a multi-functional serine/threonine kinase subunit, is mainly located in the surface layer of the spinal cord dorsal horn (SCDH) and the primary sensory neurons in dorsal root ganglion (DRG). Numerous studies have indicated electroacupuncture (EA) takes effect in various kinds of pain. In this research, we explored whether CaMKIIα on rats' SCDH and DRG participated in DNP and further explored the mechanisms underlying the analgesic effects of EA. The DNP model in rats was successfully established by intraperitoneal injection of streptozotocin. Certain DNP rats were treated with intrathecal injections of KN93, a CaMKII antagonist, and some of the DNP rats received EA intervention. The general conditions, behaviors, the expressions of CaMKIIα and phosphorylated CaMKIIα (p-CaMKIIα) were evaluated. DNP rats' paw withdrawal threshold was reduced and the expressions of p-CaMKIIα in SCDH and DRG were upregulated compared with the Normal group, while the level of CaMKIIα showed no significance. KN93 attenuated DNP rats' hyperalgesia and reduced the expressions of p-CaMKIIα. We also found EA attenuated the hyperalgesia of DNP rats and reduced the expressions of p-CaMKIIα. The above findings suggest that p-CaMKIIα in SCDH and DRG is involved in DNP. The analgesic effect of EA in DNP might be related to the downregulation of p-CaMKIIα expression level. Our study further supports that EA can be an effective clinical treatment for DNP.

Posaconazole and voriconazole are commonly used for preventing invasive fungal disease (IFD), but few studies compared posaconazole with voriconazole for primary antifungal prophylaxis (PAP) in pediatric acute leukemia. To compare posaconazole with voriconazole for PAP in pediatric acute leukemia. This retrospective observational study enrolled pediatric patients with non-M3 acute myeloid leukemia (AML) or acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) between December 2017 and November 2019 in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University. The patients received voriconazole or posaconazole for PAP. The primary outcome was the breakthrough of IFD. The secondary outcome was the overall survival (OS) and IFD-free survival of patients. A total of the 275 patients were enrolled, of which 120 patients taking voriconazole (43.6%) and 155 patients taking posaconazole (56.4%). The breakthrough of IFD occurred in 19 (15.8%) patients taking voriconazole and in 12 (7.7%) patients taking posaconazole (P = 0.035). There was no significant differences in IFD-free survival (P = 0.336) or OS (P = 0.069) between the patients taking voriconazole and posaconazole. In the subgroup of AML patients, the OS of patients taking posaconazole was better than those receiving voriconazole (P = 0.017). Posaconazole and voriconazole were comparable for PAP in patients with pediatric acute leukemia regarding the OS and IFD-free survival, but posaconazole might achieve a lower IFD breakthrough rate.

Background: Arising from T progenitor cells, T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL) is an aggressive hematologic malignant tumor, accounting for 15% of childhood ALL and 25% of adult ALL. Composing of putative enhancers in close genomic proximity, super enhancer (SE) is critical for cell identity and the pathogenesis of multiple cancers. Belonging to the cytosolute linker protein group, FYB1 is essential for TCR signaling and extensively studied in terms of tumor pathogenesis and metastasis. Dissecting the role of FYN binding protein 1 (FYB1) in T-ALL holds the potential to improve the treatment outcome and prognosis of T-ALL. Methods: In this study, SEs were explored using public H3K27ac ChIP-seq data derived from T-ALL cell lines, AML cell lines and hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells (HSPCs). Downstream target of FYB1 gene was identified by RNA-seq. Effects of shRNA-mediated downregulation of FYB1 and immunoglobulin lambda-like polypeptide 1 (IGLL1) on self-renewal of T-ALL cells were evaluated in vitro and/or in vivo. Results: As an SE-driven gene, overexpression of FYB1 was observed in T-ALL, according to the Cancer Cell Line Encyclopedia database. In vitro, knocking down FYB1 led to comprised growth and enhanced apoptosis of T-ALL cells. In vivo, downregulation of FYB1 significantly decreased the disease burden by suppressing tumor growth and improved survival rate. Knocking down FYB1 resulted in significantly decreased expression of IGLL1 that was also an SE-driven gene in T-ALL. As a downstream target of FYB1, IGLL1 exerted similar role as FYB1 in inhibiting growth of T-ALL cells. Conclusion: Our results suggested that FYB1 gene played important role in regulating self-renewal of T-ALL cells by activating IGLL1, representing a promising therapeutic target for T-ALL patients.

INTRODUCTION: Mycobacterium abscessus is a rapidly growing mycobacterium commonly identified in adults with underlying pulmonary diseases but is rarely observed in children. A better understanding of this pathogen in children is essential. CASE PRESENTATION: We report the case of a 49-month-old female child without previous underlying pulmonary diseases but with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). The patient was complicated with pneumonia during chemotherapy, which was primarily characterized by spontaneous pneumomediastinum and subcutaneous emphysema on chest computed tomography (CT). M. abscessus sequences were detected by metagenomic next-generation sequencing in bronchoalveolar lavage fluid. With mechanical ventilation, closed thoracic drainage, and anti-infective therapy for 6 months, the patient's infection was controlled. The patient completed 2.5 years of treatment for ALL, and the drugs were discontinued. The patient currently remains in complete hematologic remission. DISCUSSION: We reviewed the literature on 33 children with M. abscessus pulmonary disease. These children mostly had underlying immunodeficiency. Chest CT most often showed nodular shadows, consolidation, and bronchiectasis. Spontaneous pneumomediastinum and subcutaneous emphysema were not reported as major manifestations. CONCLUSION: Spontaneous pneumomediastinum and subcutaneous emphysema were our patient's main characteristics on chest CT, and this study enriches the knowledge regarding possible imaging changes in M. abscessus pulmonary disease in children. This case report reflects good clinical experience in maintaining the balance between chemotherapy and anti-infective therapy in childhood ALL.

INTRODUCTION: B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (B-ALL) is the most prevalent malignant tumor affecting children. While the majority of B-ALL patients (90%) experience successful recovery, early relapse cases of B-ALL continue to exhibit high mortality rates. MZ1, a novel inhibitor of Bromodomains and extra-terminal (BET) proteins, has demonstrated potent antitumor activity against hematological malignancies. The objective of this study was to examine the role and therapeutic potential of MZ1 in the treatment of B-ALL. METHODS: In order to ascertain the fundamental mechanism of MZ1, a sequence of in vitro assays was conducted on B-ALL cell lines, encompassing Cell Counting Kit 8 (CCK8) assay, Propidium iodide (PI) staining, and Annexin V/PI staining. Western blotting and quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) were employed to examine protein and mRNA expression levels. Transcriptomic RNA sequencing (RNA-seq) was utilized to screen the target genes of MZ1, and lentiviral transfection was employed to establish stably-expressing/knockdown cell lines. RESULTS: MZ1 has been observed to induce the degradation of Bromodomain Containing 4 (BRD4), Bromodomain Containing 3 (BRD3), and Bromodomain Containing 2 (BRD2) in B-ALL cell strains, leading to inhibited cell growth and induction of cell apoptosis and cycle arrest in vitro. These findings suggest that MZ1 exhibits cytotoxic effects on two distinct molecular subtypes of B-ALL, namely 697 (TCF3/PBX1) and RS4;11 (MLL-AF4) B-ALL cell lines. Additionally, RNA-sequencing analysis revealed that MZ1 significantly downregulated the expression of Cyclin D3 (CCND3) gene in B-ALL cell lines, which in turn promoted cell apoptosis, blocked cell cycle, and caused cell proliferation inhibition. CONCLUSION: Our results suggest that MZ1 has potential anti-B-ALL effects and might be a novel therapeutic target.

One of the characteristics of leukemia is that it contains multiple rearrangements of signal transduction genes and overexpression of non-mutant genes, such as transcription factors. As an important regulator of hematopoietic stem cell development and erythropoiesis, LMO2 is considered an effective carcinogenic driver in T cell lines and a marker of poor prognosis in patients with AML with normal karyotype. LDB1 is a key factor in the transformation of thymocytes into T-ALL induced by LMO2, and enhances the stability of carcinogenic related proteins in leukemia. However, the function and mechanism of LMO2 and LDB1 in AML remains unclear. Herein, the LMO2 gene was knocked down to observe its effects on proliferation, survival, and colony formation of NB4, Kasumi-1 and K562 cell lines. Using mass spectrometry and IP experiments, our results showed the presence of LMO2/LDB1 protein complex in AML cell lines, which is consistent with previous studies. Furthermore, in vitro and in vivo experiments revealed that LDB1 is essential for the proliferation and survival of AML cell lines. Analysis of RNA-seq and ChIP-Seq results showed that LDB1 could regulate apoptosis-related genes, including LMO2. In LDB1-deficient AML cell lines, the overexpression of LMO2 partially compensates for the proliferation inhibition. In summary, our findings revealed that LDB1 played an important role in AML as an oncogene, and emphasize the potential importance of the LMO2/LDB1 complex in clinical treatment of patients with AML.

Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is a highly cancerous and aggressive hematologic disease with elevated levels of drug resistance and relapse resulting in high mortality. Recently, bromodomains and extra-terminal (BET) protein inhibitors have been extensively researched in hematological tumors as potential anticancer agents. MZ1 is a novel BET inhibitor that mediates selective proteins degradation and suppression of tumor growth through proteolysis-targeting chimeras (PROTAC) technology. Accordingly, this study aimed to investigate the role and therapeutic potential of MZ1 in AML. In this study, we first identified that AML patients with high BRD4 expression had poor overall survival than those with low expression group. MZ1 inhibited AML cell growth and induced apoptosis and cycle arrest in vitro. MZ1 induced degradation of BRD4, BRD3 and BRD2 in AML cell strains. Additionally, MZ1 also initiated the cleavage of poly-ADP-ribose polymerase (PARP), which showed cytotoxic effects on NB4 (PML-RARa), K562 (BCR-ABL), Kasumi-1 (AML1-ETO), and MV4-11 (MLL-AF4) cell lines representing different molecular subtypes of AML. In AML mouse leukemia model, MZ1 significantly decreased leukemia cell growth and increased the mouse survival time. According to the RNA-sequencing analysis, MZ1 led to c-Myc and ANP32B genes significant downregulation in AML cell lines. Knockdown of ANP32B promoted AML cell apoptosis and inhibited cell growth. Overall, our data indicated that MZ1 had broad anti-cancer effects on AML cell lines with different molecular lesions, which might be exploited as a novel therapeutic strategy for AML patients.

Background: AML (acute myeloid leukemia) is a common hematological malignancy in children with poor treatment effects and poor prognosis. Recent studies have shown that as a novel BRD4 (bromodomain containing 4) PROTACs (proteolysis targeting chimeras) degrader, GNE-987 can slow down the growth of various tumors and increase apoptosis, with promising clinical prospects. However, the function and molecular mechanism of GNE-987 in AML remain unclear. This study is aimed at investigating the therapeutic effect of GNE-987 on AML and its underlying mechanism. Methods: The association between BRD4 and AML was assessed by studying public databases. After GNE-987 was added to AML cells, cell proliferation slowed down, the cycle was disturbed, and apoptosis increased. Western blotting was used to detect BRD2 (bromodomain containing 2), BRD3 (bromodomain containing 3), BRD4, and PARP (poly ADP-ribose polymerase) proteins. The effect of GNE-987 on AML cells was analyzed in vivo. RNA-seq (RNA sequencing) and ChIP-seq (chromatin immunoprecipitation sequencing) validated the function and molecular pathways of GNE-987 in processing AML. Results: BRD4 expression was significantly elevated in pediatric AML samples compared with healthy donors. GNE-987 inhibited AML cell proliferation by inhibiting the cell cycle and inducing apoptosis. BRD2, BRD3, and BRD4 were consistent with decreased VHL (Von Hippel Lindau) expression in AML cells. In an AML xenograft model, GNE-987 significantly reduced the hepatosplenic infiltration of leukemia cells and increased the mouse survival time. Based on analysis of RNA-seq and ChIP-seq analyses, GNE-987 could target multiple SE- (super-enhancer-) related genes, including LYL1 (lymphoblastic leukemia 1), to inhibit AML. Conclusions: GNE-987 had strong antitumor activity in AML. GNE-987 could effectively inhibit the expression of SE-related oncogenes including LYL1 in AML. Our results suggested that GNE-987 had broad prospects in the treatment of AML.

Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) represents an aggressive hematopoietic malignancy with a prognosis inferior to that of other leukemias. Recent targeted therapies offer new opportunities to achieve better treatment outcomes. However, due to the complex heterogeneity of AML, its prognosis remains dismal. In this study, we first identified the correlation between high expression of BRD4 and overall survival of patients with AML. Targeted degradation of BRD2, BRD3, and BRD4 proteins by dBET1, a proteolysis-targeting chimera (PROTAC) against the bromodomain and extra-terminal domain (BET) family members, showed cytotoxic effects on Kasumi (AML1-ETO), NB4 (PML-RARa), THP-1 (MLL-AF9), and MV4-11 (MLL-AF4) AML cell lines representing different molecular subtypes of AML. Furthermore, we determined that dBET1 treatment arrested cell cycling and enhanced apoptosis and c-MYC was identified as the downstream target. Collectively, our results indicated that dBET1 had broad anti-cancer effects on AML cell lines with different molecular lesions and provided more benefits to patients with AML.

Mitochondria play an essential role in pathophysiology of both inflammatory and neuropathic pain (NP), but the mechanisms are not yet clear. Dynamin-related protein 1 (Drp1) is broadly expressed in the central nervous system and plays a role in the induction of mitochondrial fission process. Spared nerve injury (SNI), due to the dysfunction of the neurons within the spinal dorsal horn (SDH), is the most common NP model. We explored the neuroprotective role of Drp1 within SDH in SNI. SNI mice showed pain behavior and anxiety-like behavior, which was associated with elevation of Drp1, as well as increased density of mitochondria in SDH. Ultrastructural analysis showed SNI induced damaged mitochondria into smaller perimeter and area, tending to be circular. Characteristics of vacuole in the mitochondria further showed SNI induced the increased number of vacuole, widened vac-perimeter and vac-area. Stable overexpression of Drp1 via AAV under the control of the Drp1 promoter by intraspinal injection (Drp1 OE) attenuated abnormal gait and alleviated pain hypersensitivity of SNI mice. Mitochondrial ultrastructure analysis showed that the increased density of mitochondria induced by SNI was recovered by Drp1 OE which, however, did not change mitochondrial morphology and vacuole parameters within SDH. Contrary to Drp1 OE, down-regulation of Drp1 in the SDH by AAV-Drp1 shRNA (Drp1 RNAi) did not alter painful behavior induced by SNI. Ultrastructural analysis showed the treatment by combination of SNI and Drp1 RNAi (SNI + Drp1 RNAi) amplified the damages of mitochondria with the decreased distribution density, increased perimeter and area, as well as larger circularity tending to be more circular. Vacuole data showed SNI + Drp1 RNAi increased vacuole density, perimeter and area within the SDH mitochondria. Our results illustrate that mitochondria within the SDH are sensitive to NP, and targeted mitochondrial Drp1 overexpression attenuates pain hypersensitivity. Drp1 offers a novel therapeutic target for pain treatment.

OBJECTIVE: To explore the influencing factors in children with chronicity immune thrombocytopenia (ITP), and to provide basis for judging the prognosis and treatment in children with ITP. METHODS: The clinical data of children with ITP admitted to The Second Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University in the past 5 years were retrospectively analyzed and followed up for more than 1 year. According to the inclusion criteria, the eligible cases (328 cases in total) were selected and collected through medical record system retrieval, outpatient clinic and telephone follow-up. Independent influencing factors affecting the prognosis of children with ITP were obtained through single-factor and multi-factor logistic analysis, and their predictive value for the prognosis of ITP in children were evaluated. RESULTS: Of 328 children with ITP, 208 were newly diagnosed with ITP (64%), 54 were persistent ITP (16%), 66 were chronic ITP (20%), and the remission rate within 1 year was 79.9%. The results of univariate analysis showed that, age, pre-morbidity history of infection and vaccination, antinuclear antibodies, initial absolute lymphocyte count(ALC) and treatment options were related to the prognosis of the children (P<0.05). Multivariate analysis showed that the history of infection and vaccination before onset, initial treatment options, and ALC at the time of initial diagnosis were independent factors affecting the prognosis of children with ITP (P<0.05). The time for platelet recovery to 100×109/L in the initial treatment group combined with intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) was shorter than that in the single corticosteroids group (P<0.01). The receivers operating characteristic (ROC) was drawn with the development of chronic disease (course >12 months) as state variable and ALC or ALC combined with preceding infection or vaccination history as test variable. The results showed that when the absolute value of lymphocytes was 3.80×109/L, the area under the curve was the largest (0.787), the sensitivity was 80.6%, and the specificity was 65.53% (P<0.01), the combined results showed that the maximum area under the curve was 0.859, the sensitivity was 77.61%, and the specificity was 78.41%. CONCLUSION: The initial treatment plan combined with IVIG can reduce the occurrence of chronicity in children with ITP, and its efficacy is better than that of the single corticosteroids group (the platelet recovery time is shorter); history of preceding infection or vaccination, ALC at the time of initial diagnosis are independent factors affecting the prognosis of children with ITP, and the combination of the two shows a better predictive value for the prognosis.

INTRODUCTION: The objective of this review is to systematically summarize the consensus on best practices for different NP conditions of the two most commonly utilized noninvasive brain stimulation (NIBS) technologies, repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS), and transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS). METHODS: PubMed was searched according to the predetermined keywords and criteria. Only English language studies and studies published up to January 31, 2020 were taken into consideration. Meta-analyses, reviews, and systematic reviews were excluded first, and those related to animal studies or involving healthy volunteers were also excluded. Finally, 29 studies covering 826 NP patients were reviewed. RESULTS: The results from the 24 enrolled studies and 736 NP patients indicate that rTMS successfully relieved the pain symptoms of 715 (97.1%) NP patients. Also, five studies involving 95 NP patients (81.4%) also showed that tDCS successfully relieved NP. In the included studied, the M1 region plays a key role in the analgesic treatment of NIBS. The motor evoked potentials (MEPs), the 10-20 electroencephalography system (EEG 10/20 system), and neuro-navigation methods are used in clinical practice to locate therapeutic targets. Based on the results of the review, the stimulation parameters of rTMS that best induce an analgesic effect are a stimulation frequency of 10-20 Hz, a stimulation intensity of 80-120% of RMT, 1000-2000 pulses, and 5-10 sessions, and the most effective parameters of tDCS are a current intensity of 2 mA, a session duration of 20-30 min, and 5-10 sessions. CONCLUSIONS: Our systematically reviewed the evidence for positive and negative responses to rTMS and tDCS for NP patient care and underscores the analgesic efficacy of NIBS in patients with NP. The treatment of NP should allow the design of optimal treatments for individual patients.

Simulated hypobaric hypoxia (SHH) training has been used to enhance running performance. However, no studies have evaluated the effects of a single SHH exposure on healthy mice performance and analyzed the changes of mitochondria-related genes in the central nervous system. The current study used a mouse decompression chamber to simulate mild hypobaric hypoxia at the high altitude of 5000 m or severe hypobaric hypoxia at 8000 m for 16 h (SHH5000 & SHH8000, respectively). Then, the mouse behavioral tests were recorded by a modified Noldus video tracking. Third, the effects of SHH on 8 mitochondria-related genes of Drp1, Mfn1, Mfn2, Opa1, TFAM, SGK1, UCP2 and UCP4, were assessed in cerebellum, hippocampus and gastrocnemius muscles. The results have shown that a single mild or severe HH improves healthy mice performance. In cerebellum, 6 of all 8 detected genes (except Mfn2 and UCP4) did not change after SHH. In hippocampus, all detected genes did not change after SHH. In muscles, 7 of all 8 detected genes (except Opa1) did not change after SHH. The present study has indicated the benefit of a single SHH in healthy mice performance, which would due to the stabilized mitochondria against a mild stress state.

This study evaluated the long-term therapeutic effect and prognostic factors of acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL) in 100 young Chinese children (<2 years old) who were enrolled in the Shanghai Children's Medical Center (SCMC)-ALL-2009 study in five pediatric hematological disease centers based on collaboration. The 5-year and 10-year event-free survivals (EFS) were 74.7 ± 3.2% and 73.3 ± 3.4%. The 10-year EFS rates for low risk, intermediate-risk, and high-risk patients were 81.9 ± 5.0%, 71.3 ± 4.3%, and 22.2 ± 13.9%, respectively. Relapse occurred in 19 patients. MRD results on day 55, good or poor response to prednisolone, and age at diagnosis were shown to have important prognostic and therapeutic implications. Compared with the SCMC-ALL-2005 protocol, showed that the 10-year-EFS and 10-year-overall survival of the SCMC-ALL-2009 protocol were better than that of the -2005 protocol. Notably, the intermediate-risk group was improved after the chemotherapy intensity was strengthened.

OBJECTIVES: Drp1 is widely expressed in the mouse central nervous system and plays a role in inducing the mitochondrial fission process. Many diseases are associated with Drp1 and mitochondria. However, since the exact distribution of Drp1 has not been specifically observed, it is difficult to determine the impact of anti-Drp1 molecules on the human body. Clarifying the specific Drp1 distribution could be a good approach to targeted treatment or prognosis. METHODS: We visualized the distribution of Drp1 in different brain regions and explicated the relationship between Drp1 and mitochondria. GAD67-GFP knock-in mice were utilized to detect the expression patterns of Drp1 in GABAergic neurons. We also further analyzed Drp1 expression in human malignant glioma tissue. RESULTS: Drp1 was widely but heterogeneously distributed in the central nervous system. Further observation indicated that Drp1 was highly and heterogeneously expressed in inhibitory neurons. Under transmission electron microscopy, the distribution of Drp1 was higher in dendrites than other areas in neurons, and only a small amount of Drp1 was localized in mitochondria. In human malignant glioma, the fluorescence intensity of Drp1 increased from grade I-III, while grade IV showed a declining trend. CONCLUSION: In this study, we observed a wide heterogeneous distribution of Drp1 in the central nervous system, which might be related to the occurrence and development of neurologic disease. We hope that the relationship between Drp1 and mitochondria may will to therapeutic guidance in the clinic.

OBJECTIVE: To explore clinical characteristics and outcome of deep vein thrombosis(DVT) in children with acute lymphoblastic leukemia (ALL). METHODS: A tatol of 266 patients were diagnosed as ALL from January 1, 2010 to May 31, 2016. The clinical data of 12 cases of patients with DVT were retrospectively analyzed, 183 cases diagnosed before January 1, 2015 were received chemotherapy with the scheme of SCMC-05. The other cases were treated by the scheme of CCCG. All the patients received central venous catheter. RESULTS: The DVT happened in 12 cases including 10 cases of limb DVT and 2 cases of intacranial venous sinus thrombosis. The DVT mostly occured in intermediate risk ALL patients, the infection and coagulopathy existed in most patients. They were treated with low molecular heparin(LWHP), among them 5 cases were given extubation; the thrombus disappeared in 6 cases after 1 week; the intracranial venous sinus thrombosis in 1 case did not obviously improved after 6 months of treatment. The ALL children with DVT were treated with LWHP when using L-ASP, as a result no thrombuses happened. CONCLUSION: Centralvenous catheter and chemotherapeutic drugs were the major cause of DVT. Abnormal coagulation, infection, and risk stratification are another risk factors for thrombosis. ALL children thrombosis are benefited from LWHP prevention when using L-ASP again.

We report a graphene-based nanocomposite prepared by noncovalently engineering reduced graphene oxide (rGO) with neutral red (NR). The water-soluble reduced graphene nanocomposite (rGO-NR) was well characterized by using X-ray diffraction (XRD), Raman spectroscopy, atomic force microscopy (AFM), UV-vis spectroscopy, and 1HNMR spectroscopy; the results suggest a strong pi-pi interaction between the rGO and NR molecules. Fluorescence spectroscopy and electrochemistry studies indicate a direct electron transfer interaction among the graphene-NR hybrid, in which NR is electron donor and graphene is electron acceptor. The photocurrent generating property of this nanocomposite was confirmed from the photoelectrochemical measurements. The graphene-NR coated electrodes are capable of generating photocurrent under visible excitation. Such photocurrent generating nanocomposite provides potential application in optoelectronic devices.
