BACKGROUND: Temporal heterogeneity in human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) status may be associated with the prognosis of breast cancer. We aimed to clarify the relationship of HER2-low transition during neoadjuvant therapy with survival outcomes under the new classification of HER2 status. METHODS: This retrospective study was conducted based on the prospective database of breast cancer patients treated with neoadjuvant therapy from September 2013 to August 2020. RESULTS: This analysis enrolled 185 patients, including 44 patients with HER2-zero tumours, 93 patients with HER2-low tumours and 48 patients with HER2-positive tumours after neoadjuvant therapy. Nearly, 57.6% of HER2-zero tumours turned into HER2-low tumours after neoadjuvant therapy, while 25.0% of HER2-low patients changed to HER2-zero or HER2-positive tumours. We found that at least once diagnosis as HER2-low breast cancer was related to hormone receptor status (p < .001) and Ki-67 expression (p = .036). Patients ever diagnosed as HER2-low tumours had favourable clinicopathological features (less Ki-67 expression, lower pathological staging, etc.) as well as significantly better locoregional relapse-free survival (LRFS; p = .007) and overall survival (OS; p = .026) compared with those never exhibiting HER2-low expression. Furthermore, the 6-year OS rates were 94.2% (95% confidence interval (CI) 83.1-98.1), 88.7% (74.4-95.2) and 78.1% (65.4-86.6) for patients with stable, once and none HER2-low expression, respectively (adjusted HR, 0.514 [95%CI, 0.294-0.897], p = .019). CONCLUSIONS: Our study first indicated in patients across all expression levels of HER2 that stable or at least once HER2-low status may confer favourable attributes including less malignant biological behaviour and long-term survival benefit for breast cancer receiving neoadjuvant therapy.

Introduction: Opioid use disorder (OUD) and opioid overdose (OD) have shown to be strongly associated with alcohol use disorder (AUD). As a potential target population for secondary prevention, we examined the incidence and timing of OUD/OD among clients seeking treatment for alcohol problems and how this has changed over the three waves of the opioid epidemic corresponding to the primary opioid involved in fatal ODs, prescription painkillers (2007-2009), heroin (2010-2012), and fentanyl (2013-2016). We also examined social determinants of health as predictors of OUD/OD. Methods: Clients (N = 59,186) presenting for a first treatment for alcohol use problems were extracted from the Client Data System (CDS) of the New York State Office of Addiction Services and Support (OASAS) and New York State (NYS) Medicaid Data Warehouse. Using this cohort, we employed the Kaplan-Meier method to determine the survival probabilities for patients admitted in each of the three waves of the epidemic. Results: Patients in Cohort 3 (2013-2016) were diagnosed with OUD/OD more rapidly than patients in Cohort 1 (2007-2009) or Cohort 2 (2010-2012), although the overall estimated OUD/OD rate was comparable across the three cohorts. Discussion: These findings provide a useful estimate of the incidence and the expected time frame of an opioid use disorder in clients with an alcohol use problem. Moreover, it suggests that as the opioid epidemic progressed, OUD/OD developed more rapidly but the overall prevalence did not increase.

In recent years, driven by rapid socio-economic development and intensified human activities, the groundwater quality has exhibited a concerning trend of degradation. The challenge lies in integrating the impacts of both natural and anthropogenic factors to establish a scientific evaluation framework for the evolution of groundwater quality. This study adopts the model of driving forces - pressures - state - impacts - responses (DPSIR) proposed by the European Environment Agency, in conjunction with the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and Information Entropy Theory (IET), and the Water Quality Index (WQI) evaluation methods, to construct an evaluation index system for groundwater quality evolution that encompasses driving forces, state, and response systems. Initially, twelve indicators relevant to groundwater quality are quantified by screening across three systems, and a functional relationship between the categorization and scoring of each indicator is established. Subsequently, the weights for each system and indicator are obtained through the AHP, and the objective weights of the indicators are determined using the IET. The scores of each indicator are then comprehensively calculated. Finally, based on the defined types of groundwater quality evolution patterns, an integrated assessment of the evolution of groundwater quality over various time periods is conducted. Taking the Shijiazhuang region as a case study and analyzing the hydrochemical data of groundwater from 1985 to 2015, the results indicate a shift in the groundwater quality evolution pattern from one dominated by natural factors to one primarily influenced by human activities (The comprehensive score of the evaluation index system has increased from 1.84 to 3.25). Among these, the application of fertilizers emerges as the most important driving factors affecting groundwater quality. Particularly, nitrate and total hardness (TH) have emerged as the most salient indicators of quality degradation, with a significant escalation in their composite scores. At the outset, nitrate registered a score of 0.408, while TH scored 0.326; yet, these values have sharply ascended to 0.716 and 0.467, respectively, by the advanced stage. The study concludes with a discussion on the accuracy, strengths, limitations, and applicability of the evaluation index system. The establishment of this evaluation framework provides a scientific basis for the management and protection of groundwater resources and serves as a reference for identifying groundwater quality evolution patterns in other regions.

INTRODUCTION: Tower cranes are commonly employed in construction projects, despite presenting significant hazards to the workforce involved. METHOD: To address these safety concerns, a Knowledge-Based Decision-Support System for Safety Risk Assessment (KBDSS-SRA) has been developed. The system's capacity to thoroughly evaluate associated risks is illustrated through its utilization in various construction endeavors. RESULTS: The system accomplishes the following goals: (1) compiles essential risk factors specific to tower crane operations, (2) identifies critical safety risks that jeopardize worker well-being, (3) examines and assesses the identified safety risks, and (4) automates the labor-intensive and error-prone processes of safety risk assessment. The KBDSS-SRA assists safety management personnel in formulating well-grounded decisions and implementing effective measures to enhance the safety of tower crane operations. PRACTICAL APPLICATIONS: This is facilitated by an advanced computerized tool that underscores the paramount significance of safety risks and suggests strategies for their future mitigation.

In plants, RNA silencing constitutes a strong defense against viral infection, which viruses counteract with RNA-silencing suppressors (RSSs). Understanding the interactions between viral RSSs and host factors is crucial for elucidating the molecular arms race between viruses and host plants. We report that the helicase motif (Hel) of the replicase encoded by apple stem grooving virus (ASGV)-the main virus affecting pear trees in China-is an RSS that can inhibit both local and systemic RNA silencing, possibly by binding double-stranded (ds) siRNA. The transcription factor related to ABSCISIC ACID INSENSITIVE3/VIVIPAROUS1 from pear (PbRAV1) enters the cytoplasm and binds Hel through its C terminus, thereby attenuating its RSS activity by reducing its binding affinity to 21- and 24-nt ds siRNA, and suppressing ASGV infection. PbRAV1 can also target p24, an RSS encoded by grapevine leafroll-associated virus 2 (GLRaV-2), with similar negative effects on p24's suppressive function and inhibition of GLRaV-2 infection. Moreover, like the positive role of the PbRAV1 homolog from grapevine (VvRAV1) in p24's previously reported RSS activity, ASGV Hel can also hijack VvRAV1 and employ the protein to sequester 21-nt ds siRNA, thereby enhancing its own RSS activity and promoting ASGV infection. Furthermore, PbRAV1 neither interacts with CP, an RSS encoded by grapevine inner necrosis virus, nor has any obvious effect on CP's RSS activity. Our results identify an RSS encoded by ASGV and demonstrate that PbRAV1, representing a novel type of RAV transcription factor, plays a defensive role against viral infection by targeting viral RSSs.

The Yellow Sea Warm Current (YSWC) constitutes a significant hydrological feature in the Yellow Sea, particularly prominent during winter, facilitating the transport of warm, saline waters and warm-water species from the open sea to the Bohai and Yellow Seas. The YSWC induces alterations in the community structure and function of zooplankton. However, the effects of the YSWC on the functional trait compositions and functional groups of zooplankton remain unclear. This study aimed to elucidate the influence of the YSWC on the community structure, functional trait composition, and functional groups of zooplankton during winter of 2016. The YSWC significantly impacted the zooplankton assemblage in the central Yellow Sea (CYSA), resulting in notable distinctions from the Shandong coastal assemblage (SCA) and Jiangsu coastal assemblage (JCA). Compared to the SCA and JCA (comprising 45 and 34 taxa, with abundances of 119.4 ± 114.6 ind·m-3 and 82.8 ± 62.1 ind·m-3, respectively), the CYSA exhibited higher species richness and abundance (with 51 taxa and 144.4 ± 103.4 ind·m-3, respectively). This study documented a total of 11 warm-water species, showing a decreasing trend in both species richness and abundance from south to north. The CYSA was characterized by the predominance of medium‒sized, current‒feeding, omnivorous‒herbivorous broadcast spawners, whereas the SCA and the JCA were predominantly dominated by giant‒sized, ambush‒feeding carnivores. The Qingdao-Shidao anticyclonic eddy in the southern of Shandong Province led to a significant increase in the abundance of zooplankton, potentially impacting Yellow Sea fishery resource. This research contributed to a deeper understanding of how YSWC influence the zooplankton community and offered fresh insights into the effects of YSWC on zooplankton function traits and functional groups.

Exposure to particulate matter (PM) can cause airway inflammation and worsen various airway diseases. However, the underlying molecular mechanism by which PM triggers airway inflammation has not been completely elucidated, and effective interventions are lacking. Our study revealed that PM exposure increased the expression of histone deacetylase 9 (HDAC9) in human bronchial epithelial cells and mouse airway epithelium through the METTL3/m6A methylation/IGF2BP3 pathway. Functional assays showed that HDAC9 upregulation promoted PM-induced airway inflammation and activation of MAPK signaling pathway in vitro and in vivo. Mechanistically, HDAC9 modulated the deacetylation of histone 4 acetylation at K12 (H4K12) in the promoter region of dual specificity phosphatase 9 (DUSP9) to repress the expression of DUSP9 and resulting in the activation of MAPK signaling pathway, thereby promoting PM-induced airway inflammation. Additionally, HDAC9 bound to MEF2A to weaken its anti-inflammatory effect on PM-induced airway inflammation. Then, we developed a novel inhaled lipid nanoparticle system for delivering HDAC9 siRNA to the airway, offering an effective treatment for PM-induced airway inflammation. Collectively, we elucidated the crucial regulatory mechanism of HDAC9 in PM-induced airway inflammation and introduced an inhaled therapeutic approach targeting HDAC9. These findings contribute to alleviating the burden of various airway diseases caused by PM exposure.

Lipid nanoparticle-assisted mRNA inhalation therapy necessitates addressing challenges such as resistance to shear force damage, mucus penetration, cellular internalization, rapid lysosomal escape, and target protein expression. Here, we introduce the innovative "LOOP" platform with a four-step workflow to develop inhaled lipid nanoparticles specifically for pulmonary mRNA delivery. iLNP-HP08LOOP featuring a high helper lipid ratio, acidic dialysis buffer, and excipient-assisted nebulization buffer, demonstrates exceptional stability and enhanced mRNA expression in the lungs. By incorporating mRNA encoding IL-11 single chain fragment variable (scFv), scFv@iLNP-HP08LOOP effectively delivers and secretes IL-11 scFv to the lungs of male mice, significantly inhibiting fibrosis. This formulation surpasses both inhaled and intravenously injected IL-11 scFv in inhibiting fibroblast activation and extracellular matrix deposition. The HP08LOOP system is also compatible with commercially available ALC0315 LNPs. Thus, the "LOOP" method presents a powerful platform for developing inhaled mRNA nanotherapeutics with potential for treating various respiratory diseases, including idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.

A glucose-responsive insulin delivery system that sustains blood glucose equilibrium for an extended duration can address the low therapeutic window of insulin in diabetes treatment. Herein, insulin is loaded in a water-in-oil-in-water (W1/O/W2) gelled multiple emulsion using poly (4-vinylphenylboronic acid) (PVPBA) homopolymer as an effective emulsifier. The gelled multiple emulsion exhibits a high encapsulation efficiency (99%), enhanced stability and remarkable shear-thinning behavior, making it easy to inject. Under hyperglycemic conditions, the gelled emulsion system instantly binds to glucose molecules and reduces the hydrogen bonds of the PVPBA homopolymer, resulting in insulin release. In a streptozotocin-induced type 1 diabetic mouse model, a single subcutaneous injection of the gelled emulsion rapidly responds to high blood glucose concentration (BGC) and release insulin in a glucose dependent manner, thus prolonging the antihyperglycemic effect compared with free insulin.

The synthesis of a specific product via the Fischer-Tropsch synthesis remains challenging due to the uncontrollable coupling of CHx on active sites. Isoparaffins, essential high-quality petroleum additives for improving octane numbers, are primarily derived from petroleum or natural gas. With petroleum reserves dwindling and the associated low selectivity, the direct conversion of syngas to isoparaffins has emerged as a promising alternative. This study presents a tandem catalyst comprising CoxMn1-xO and zeolites for catalyzing the direct conversion of syngas to C4-C5 isoparaffins. The relay catalyst exhibited an impressive selectivity of 55.6% toward the desired products while maintaining a low CO2 selectivity of approximately 20%. Notably, the selectivity of isobutane reached 43.5%, exceeding predictions based on the Anderson-Schulz-Flory distribution. Syngas undergoes conversion into olefins on CoxMn1-xO nanocomposites, diffuses into microporous zeolites, and interacts with Brønsted acids to produce isoparaffins. The stability of the relay catalyst relied significantly on the pore characteristics and acidic density of the zeolites.

Nuclear matrix protein 22 (NMP22) is one of the most important tumor markers of bladder cancer and is significantly elevated in the urine of bladder cancer patients. Therefore, in this work, a highly sensitive ratiometric electrochemical immunosensor was constructed to detect NMP22 based on ZIF-8@MWCNTs@Chit@Fc@AuNPs composites. ZIF-8 had a large surface area and good adsorption ability. Multi-Walled Carbon Nanotubes (MWCNTs) can optimize the electrical conductivity of ZIF-8, so that the electrode surface of ferrocene (Fc) obtains a stable and strong electrochemical signal. In addition, AuPt-MB provided another strong detection signal methylene blue (MB) while immobilizing the secondary antibody (Ab2) through Au-N and Pt-N bonds. A ratiometric electrochemical sensor was formed based on ZIF-8@MWCNTs@Chit@Fc@AuNPs and AuPt-MB, which showed a great linear connection between IMB/IFc and the logarithmic concentration of NMP22 with a detection limit of 3.33 fg mL-1 (S/N = 3) under optimized specifications in the concentration interval of 0.01 pg mL-1 to 1000 ng mL-1. In addition, the ratiometric immunosensor showed good selectivity and stability.

Purpose: Social isolation and depression have an impact on cognitive frailty. However, the underlying mechanisms between these variables have not been well defined. This study aims to investigate the mediating role of depressive symptoms in the association between social isolation and cognitive frailty among older adults in China. Methods: From Mar 2023 to Aug 2023, a cross-sectional study was conducted with 496 community-dwelling older adults aged ≥60 years in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, China. Demographic information was collected using the General Information Questionnaire. The Lubben Social Network Scale-6 (LSNS-6), Geriatric Depression Scale 15-item (GDS-15), Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA), Clinical Dementia Rating (CDR), and FRAIL scale were used for the questionnaire survey. Multiple linear regression and binary logistic regression were utilized to explore the associations among social isolation, depressive symptoms, and cognitive frailty, and Bootstrap analysis was used to explore the mediating role of depressive symptoms in social isolation and cognitive frailty. Results: Linear regression results revealed that social isolation was positively associated with depressive symptoms (ß = 0.873, p < 0.001). Logistic regression analysis showed that social isolation (OR = 1.769, 95% CI = 1.018~3.075) and depressive symptoms (OR = 1.227, 95% CI = 1.108~1.357) were significantly associated with cognitive frailty. Mediation analysis demonstrated that depressive symptoms significantly mediated the relationship between social isolation and cognitive frailty, with an indirect effect of 0.027 (95% CI = 0.003~0.051), and the mediating effect accounted for 23.6% of the total effect. Conclusion: Social isolation is associated with cognitive frailty in community-dwelling older adults, and depressive symptoms partially mediate the effect between social isolation and cognitive frailty. Active promotion of social integration among older individuals is recommended to enhance their mental health, reduce the incidence of cognitive frailty, and foster active aging.

T cell exhaustion has emerged as a major hurdle that impedes the clinical translation of stimulator of interferon genes (STING) agonists. It is crucial to explore innovative strategies to rejuvenate exhausted T cells and potentiate the antitumor efficacy. Here, we propose an approach utilizing MSA-2 as a STING agonist, along with nanoparticle-mediated delivery of mRNA encoding interleukin-12 (IL-12) to restore the function of T cells. We developed a lipid nanoparticle (DMT7-IL12 LNP) that encapsulated IL12 mRNA. Our findings convincingly demonstrated that the combination of MSA-2 and DMT7-IL12 LNP can effectively reverse the exhausted T cell phenotype, as evidenced by the enhanced secretion of cytokines, such as tumor necrosis factor alpha, interferon gamma, and Granzyme B, coupled with reduced levels of inhibitory molecules such as T cell immunoglobulin and mucin domain-3 and programmed cell death protein-1 on CD8+ T cells. Furthermore, this approach led to improved survival and tumor regression without causing any systemic toxicity in melanoma and lung metastasis models. These findings suggest that mRNA encoding IL-12 in conjunction with STING agonists has the potential to confer superior clinical outcomes, representing a promising advancement in cancer immunotherapy.

The pathogenicity of grapevine geminivirus A (GGVA), a recently identified DNA virus, to grapevine plants remains largely unclear. Here, we report a new GGVA isolate (named GGVAQN) obtained from grapevine 'Queen Nina' plants with severe disease symptoms. The infectious clone of GGVAQN (pXT-GGVAQN) was constructed to investigate its pathogenicity. Nicotiana benthamiana plants inoculated with GGVAQN by agroinfiltration displayed upward leaf curling and chlorotic mottling symptoms. A simple, quick, and efficient method for delivering DNA clones of GGVAQN into grapevine plants was developed, by which Agrobacterium tumefaciens cells carrying pXT-GGVAQN were introduced into the roots of in vitro-grown 'Red Globe' grape plantlets with a syringe. By this method, all 'Red Globe' grape plants were systemically infected with GGVAQN, and the plants exhibited chlorotic mottling symptoms on their upper leaves and downward curling, interveinal yellowing, and leaf-margin necrosis symptoms on their lower leaves. Our results provide insights into the pathogenicity of GGVA and a simple and efficient inoculation method to deliver infectious viral clones to woody perennial plants.

Three new cyclic lipopeptides, olenamidonins A-C (1-3), in addition to two previously reported metabolites (4 and 5), were accumulated in the ΔdtxRso deletion mutant of deepsea-derived Streptomyces olivaceus SCSIO 1071. The structures of these cyclic lipopeptides were determined by a combination of spectroscopic methods and circular dichroism (CD) measurement. The antibacterial assay results showed that compounds 1-5 displayed different degrees of growth inhibition against multidrug-resistant (MDR) bacterial strains Enterococcus faecalis CCARM 5172 and Enterococcus faecium CCARM 5203 with minimum inhibitory concentrations (MICs) of 1.56-6.25 µg/mL.

BACKGROUND: Supraclavicular and infraclavicular nerve block are commonly used for the analgesia of distal arm surgeries, and this meta-analysis aims to compare their analgesic efficacy for distal arm surgeries. METHODS: We searched several databases including PubMed, Embase, Web of Science, EBSCO, and Cochrane library databases, and selected the randomized controlled trials exploring the analgesic efficacy of supraclavicular block versus infraclavicular block for distal arm surgeries. This meta-analysis was conducted using the random-effect or fixed-effect model based on the heterogeneity. RESULTS: Six randomized controlled trials were included in this meta-analysis. Compared with infraclavicular nerve block for distal arm surgeries, supraclavicular nerve block was associated with substantially reduced complete sensory block (odds ratio [OR] = 0.41; 95% confidence interval [CI] = 0.19-0.88; P = .02) and block performance time (standard mean difference [SMD] = -3.06; 95% CI = -5.82--0.31; P = .03), but had no effect on duration of analgesia (SMD = -0.15; 95% CI = -0.49-0.18; P = .36), time to sensory block (SMD = -0.41; 95% CI = -2.28-1.47; P = .67), vascular puncture (OR = 1.03; 95% CI = 0.11-10.05; P = .98) or adverse events (OR = 0.70; 95% CI = 0.12-4.04; P = .69). CONCLUSIONS: Infraclavicular nerve block may be superior to supraclavicular nerve block for the analgesia of distal arm surgeries but needs increased block performance time.

We investigated the relationship among red cell distribution width (RDW), to total serum calcium (TSC) ratio (RCR), and in-hospital mortality in patients with acute ischemic stroke (AIS). This study was a retrospective analysis. The data of 2700 AIS patients was retrospectively analyzed from the Medical Information Mart for Intensive Care database (version IV). The main outcome of interest was in-hospital mortality. A Cox proportional hazards regression model was used to determine whether RCR was independently associated with in-hospital mortality. The Kaplan-Meier method was used to plot the survival curves for RCR. Subgroup analyses were performed to measure the mortality across various subgroups. The area under curve (AUC) of receiver operating characteristic curve (ROC) was calculated to ascertain the quality of RCR as a predictor of in-hospital mortality in patients with AIS. In the multivariate analysis, statistically significant differences were identified in age, ethnicity, length of ICU stay, mechanical ventilation, sequential organ failure assessment (SOFA) score, RDW, hemoglobin, RCR, whether taking anticoagulants, hyperlipidemia, and atrial fibrillation (P < .05). A threshold inflection point value of 1.83 was obtained through a two-piecewise regression model. There was a non-linear relationship between RCR and hospital mortality in patients with AIS. The hazard ratio (HR) and the 95% confidence intervals (CI) on the right and left of the inflection point were 0.93 (0.57-1.51; P = .7660) and 2.96 (1.37-6.42; P = .0060), respectively. The Kaplan-Meier curve indicated that survival rates were higher when RCR was ≤ 1.83 and lower when RDW was > 1.83 after adjustment for age, gender, BMI, ethnicity. The area under curve (AUC) of RCR was 0.715. A higher RCR was associated with an increased risk of in-hospital mortality in patients with AIS.

Purpose: This study investigated the current state of self-efficacy and the association between self-perceived burden (SPB) and health-related quality of life (HRQoL) among Chinese older-adult inpatients. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted using convenience sampling to survey Chinese older-adult inpatients. Data regarding demographic characteristics, self-efficacy, SPB, and HRQoL were collected. Pearson's correlation analysis was used to examine the correlations among the research variables. SPSS® Statistics V26.0, and SPSS® PROCESS Macro Model 4 were used to analyze the available data. The bootstrap method was used to analyze the mediating role of self-efficacy. Results: Survey participants included 514 older-adult inpatients, with a mean age of 72.28±5.58 years. Self-efficacy (r=0.471, p<0.01) was positively correlated with HRQoL, whereas self-efficacy (r=-0.891, p<0.01) and HRQoL (r=-0.516, p<0.01) were negatively correlated with SPB. The mediating effect analysis revealed that self-efficacy either completely or partially mediated the effect of SPB on HRQoL, with the indirect effect accounting for 30.2% of the total. Conclusion: This study provides a mediating model suggesting that SPB exerts both direct and indirect effects on the HRQoL of older-adult inpatients through self-efficacy.

A peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) is commonly used for fluid infusion in patients. However, rupture is one of the most serious complications associated with PICC placement. We investigated an 81-year-old patient who experienced a catheter break nearly 11 months after the placement of PICC, followed by a catheter break during catheter capture that was removed after accessing the superior vena cava with a catcher. This case suggests that silicone-based PICCs are fragile and have a high risk of spontaneous dislocation. Therefore, they should be replaced with polyurethane-based PICCs.

Background: Individuals with mild cognitive impairment (MCI) frequently experience sleep disorders, which may elevate the risk of developing Alzheimer's disease. Yet, sleep types in MCI patients and the factors influencing them have not been sufficiently investigated. Objective: The objective of this study was to explore potential sleep typing and its influencing factors in patients with MCI using latent class analysis. Methods: A cross-sectional survey was conducted in Jiangsu Province, China. Cognitive function in older adults was assessed using neuropsychological tests, including the Montreal Cognitive Assessment Scale-Beijing version (MoCA), the Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE), the Activities of Daily Living Scale (ADL), and the Clinical Dementia Rating Scale (CDR). Sleep quality was evaluated using the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI). Latent class analysis based on PSQI scores and multinomial logistic regression analyses were employed to explore the influencing factors of sleep typing. Results: The study included a total of 611 patients with MCI. Latent class analysis identified three latent classes to categorize the sleep patterns of MCI patients: the good sleep type (56.6%), the insufficient sleep type (29.6%), and the difficulty falling asleep type (13.7%). Potential sleep typing is influenced by gender, chronic disease, physical exercise, social activity, brain exercise, smoking, frailty, subjective cognitive status, and global cognitive function. Conclusions: The findings of this study underscore the notable heterogeneity in the sleep patterns of patients with MCI. Future research may provide targeted prevention and interventions to address the characteristics and influencing factors of patients with different subtypes of sleep MCI.
