RESUMO

The microstructure of the body wall, body wall composition, and collagen fibers of sea cucumber (Stichopus japonicus) under different heating times (1 h, 4 h, 12 h, and 24 h) was investigated based on heat treatment at 80 °C. A Label-Free proteomics technique was applied to study the proteomic changes in the body wall of sea cucumbers under 4 and 12 h of heat treatment. Compared with the fresh group, 981 proteins were found to be differentially expressed proteins (DEPs) after heat treatment at 80 °C (4 h), and 1110 DEPs were observed after heat treatment at the same temperature for 12 h. There were 69 DEPs associated with mutable collagenous tissues (MCTs) structures. The results of correlation analysis showed that 55 DEPs were correlated with sensory properties, among which A0A2G8KRV2 was significantly correlated with hardness and SEM image texture features (SEM_Energy, SEM_Correlation, SEM_Homogeneity, and SEM_Contrast). These findings could be conducive to further comprehension of the structural changes and mechanisms of quality loss in the body wall of sea cucumbers at different heat treatment times.

RESUMO

Chlorpromazine hydrochloride (CH) and N-acetyl-p-amino-phenoltriptolide (APAP) are typical acentral dopamine receptor antagonists and antipyretic analgesics in clinical applications, respectively. However, it has been reported that these 2 drugs could cause liver damage. Lysophosphatidylcholines (LPCs) have multiple physiological functions and are metabolized primarily in the liver, where it undergoes significant changes when the liver is damaged. In the study, 15 LPCs in the rat serum with CH- and APAP-induced liver injury were quantified based on ultra-performance liquid chromatography quadrupole time-of-flight mass spectrometry, and multivariate statistical analyses including principal component analysis (PCA) and orthogonal partial least squares discriminate analysis (OPLS-DA) were combined to understand CH- and APAP-induced liver injury from the perspective of LPC metabolic profiling. The quantitative results showed that there were significant changes in 10 LPCs and 5 LPCs after CH- and APAP-administration, separately. The results of PCA and OPLS-DA indicated that CH- and APAP-induced liver injury could be well distinguished by the LPC metabolic profiling, and 7 LPCs and 1 LPC biomarkers that could characterize CH- and APAP-induced liver damage in turn had been screened. This study will not only provide a new perspective for the clinical diagnosis of CH- and APAP-induced liver injury, but also offer a reference for further study of their hepatotoxicity mechanisms.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: To observe the effect of medicated bath plus acupoint massage on limbs (B-M treatment) in treating diabetic peripheral neuropathy (DPN). METHODS: Eighty-two patients were divided into two groups, the control group (n=40) and the treated group (n=42), they were treated by conventional treatment but with B-M treatment applied to the latter additionally, the course to both groups was 12 weeks. The curative effects obtained were compared after treatment. RESULTS: The total effective rate was higher in the treated group than that in the control group (81.0% vs. 52.5%, P < 0.05); the nerval transmission speed was improved significantly (P < 0.05) after treatment in both group, but that in the treated group was better than in the control group (P < 0.05). CONCLUSION: B-M treatment on limbs has better effect than Western medicine along in promoting DPN restoration.
