Introduction: The focus of this study centers on the extraction, analysis, and interpretation of the motor behavior of advanced-level pianists using observational methodology, itself framed within the field of mixed methods, paying particular attention to those aspects that characterize the pressed and struck touch. The aim of this research was to analyze the motor interactions of activation or inhibition associated with the production of a type of touch in the movements of the right upper limb of the participating pianists. Methods: An ad hoc observational instrument was built that was incorporated into the software Lince Plus for data recording and coding. Data reliability was guaranteed applying Cohen's Kappa coefficient, and an analysis of polar coordinates was carried out to identify the motor interactions involved in piano playing. Results: The study provided significant information about the interaction of motor functions linked to two types of touch, such as those that occur in the sliding finger movement over the key in the pressed touch or the lifting finger movement above the key in the struck touch, obtaining clearly identified patterns of piano touch motor behavior. Discussion: This research represents an innovative perspective of the study of piano-playing movement via the direct and perceptible observation of the pianist's motor behavior in an everyday context. Observational methodology is distinguished by its low degree of internal control, which makes it possible to scientifically study the spontaneous behavior of pianists in their natural environment. This model allows us to describe and analyze piano touch for its application in the field of piano performance and teaching, emphasizing the practical implications of motor interactions in piano touch.

Garnet Li7La3Zr2O12 (LLZO)-based solid-state electrolytes (SSEs) hold promise for realizing next-generation lithium metal batteries with high energy density. However, the high stiffness of high-temperature sintered LLZO makes it brittle and susceptible to strain during the fabrication of solid-state batteries. Cold-pressed LLZO exhibits improved ductility but suffers from insufficient Li+ conductivity. Here, we report cold-pressed Ta-doped LLZO (Ta-LZ) particles integrated with ductile Li6PS5Cl (LPSC) via a Li+ conductive Li-containing Ta-Cl structure. This configuration creates a continuous Li+ conduction network by enhancing the Li+ exchange at the Ta-LZ/LPSC interface. The resulting Ta-LZ/LPSC SSE exhibits Li+ conductivity of 4.42 × 10-4 S cm-1 and a low activation energy of 0.31 eV. Li symmetric cells with Ta-LZ/LPSC SSE demonstrate excellent Li dendrite suppression ability, with an improved critical current density of 5.0 mA cm-2 and a prolonged cycle life exceeding 600 h at 1 mA cm-2. Our finding provides valuable insights into developing cold-pressed ceramic powder electrolytes for high-performance all-solid-state batteries.

Oyster peptide (OP) and Pfaffia glomerata extract (PGE) were used as raw materials. The optimal formulation of the pressed candy (PC) was optimized by one-way experiment and D-optimal mixture experiment design, and animal experiment was used to evaluate the effect of PC on male sexual dysfunction. The results showed that PC intervention significantly improved the sexual behavior of male mice with sexual dysfunction, including a significant shortening of the mount latency (ML) and intromission latency, and a significant increase in the mount frequency (MF) and intromission frequency (IF). At the same time, the concentrations of serum testosterone (T) and luteinizing hormone (LH) in mice were restored, and the erectile parameters and pathological changes of penile tissue were improved. Further studies found that PC intervention increased the activities of superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), and glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px) and reduced the content of malondialdehyde (MDA) in testicular tissue. In addition, PC intervention improved testicular tissue morphology. In conclusion, the obtained PC has good taste quality, and the relevant quality indicators are qualified. It has a good ameliorative effect on male sexual dysfunction and may be a potential dietary supplement.

Soybean meals (SBM) from different locations differ in their protein content, subsequently influencing their amino acid (AA) profile. In this study, standardized ileal digestibility (SID) of AA and growth or production performance were evaluated in pullets and hens fed SBM derived from soybean grown in Western Canada, primarily Manitoba (MB) labelled as A-, B- and C-SBM compared with that from Eastern Canada (Ontario, ON-SBM) and contained 38.3 ± 0.44, 38.6 ± 0.61, 39.4 ± 0.49, or 44.0 ± 0.87% CP, respectively. A N-free diet was used to determine basal ileal endogenous losses of AA. The study included the grower, developer, and layer phases (9-12, 13-16, and 44/59-64-wk old birds, respectively). Although a lower (P = 0.029) SID for cysteine was noted in the grower phase for the C-SBM compared with other SBM, the developer phase had higher (P < 0.05) SID for methionine, phenylalanine, cysteine (more by 4.4, 2.4 and 7.2% units, respectively) on average for SBM samples from MB compared with the ON-SBM. Regardless the source of the SBM, no difference in SID of AA was noted in the layer phase. Overall, in all phases the SID values of most AA in the SBM from MB were comparable with the ON-SBM, which may be linked to higher values of these AA per unit of protein content in the former source. In addition, the growth performance including feed intake, BW gain and feed conversion ratio in pullets, and egg production/quality in layers were similar between treatments. These findings show that the MB-SBM have a comparable feeding value with the ON-SBM, hence represent a suitable alternative protein source for poultry.

OBJECTIVES: Zirconium-89 ( 89Zr, t1/2=3.27d) is an important + emitting radionuclide used in Positron Emission Tomography (PET) immuno studies due to its unique characteristics and increased demand due to simple and cost-effective production capacity. Production of 89Zr is achieved primarily through solid natural yttrium targets via different target preparation methodologies, such as electrodeposition, pressed foils, and spark plasma sintering. In this study, we have investigated the pressed solid target methodology. METHODS: The Yttrium Oxide (Y2O3) powder was pressed to pellet form and stacked over a different back support plate, such as platinum (Pt), niobium (Nb), and tantalum (Ta). The target was irradiated with approximately 12 MeV proton beam for 10-60 minutes at 20µA current. The irradiated target was purified through a solid phase extraction method via hydroxamate-based resin by manual or automatic approach. The purified 89Zr was analyzed using gamma scintigraphy, and specific activity was calculated through Deferoxamine (DFO) chelation. RESULTS: 89Zr radionuclide via pressed target was effectively produced with a production yield of 20-30 MBq/µA.h, and the purification was achieved in 35 minutes with (87.46)% average recovery and >98% purity while using automated purification, but manual purification took 2 hours with (91 ± 2)% recovery and >98% purity. The production yield was comparable to the reported pressed target approach. Deferoxamine (DFO) chelation with 89Zr-oxalate was performed with purity >98% and specific activity of 25-30 µCi/mmol. CONCLUSION: In this study, we explored the production of 89Zr by pressed targets and purification via manual or automated methods with good radionuclide purity. The chelation with DFO or its analog was performed with good labeling efficiency and stability

Sunflower seeds are key agricultural commodities due to their nutritional and industrial value. This study aimed to analyze the distribution of targeted bioactive compounds and assess the physical properties across 27 sunflower seed genotypes, including parental lines and F1 and F2 hybrids, cultivated in Serbia. Various analytical techniques were employed to determine the chemical composition and physical characteristics of the seeds. This research revealed significant genetic variability in fatty acid profiles, with differences in polyunsaturated and saturated fatty acid levels among the genotypes. Hybrid seeds displayed variations in 1000-seed weight and bulk density compared to parental lines, which exhibited higher essential fatty acid contents and mechanical properties advantageous for industrial processing. These insights highlight the potential for refining breeding strategies to improve seed quality for specific industrial purposes. Overall, this study emphasizes the critical role of genetic selection in enhancing the nutritional and processing qualities of sunflower seeds, offering valuable perspectives for advancing agricultural and breeding practices.

The preparation of matrix-matched material for elemental quantitative analysis in rice flour matrix is proposed here for the first time as part of a feasibility study using the SN-ICP-MS and LA-ICP-MS methods. It was prepared via the spiking process in colloidal solution of rice flour with different levels of arsenic (As), cadmium (Cd) and lead (Pb), followed by drying in a climatic chamber. Comparative studies of the results on external calibration and gravimetric standard addition ICP-MS approaches through the use of calibration standard solutions were discussed. Method bias from the external calibration method was investigated, demonstrating the systematic effect arising from the sample matrix. Characterizing the concentration of measurands was then reasonably proposed using the gravimetric standard addition ICP-MS. Using powdered rice matrix reference material for ICP-MS calibration following acid digestion, the study showed a good agreement of recovery studies. A feasibility study of the LA-ICP-MS method as a direct solid analysis performed on the matrix-matched standard was then discussed. In the study, large fluctuation of signals was found for constructing calibration curve, generating poor linearity, especially for As and Pb, although yttrium (Y) as internal standard was applied. This might be ascribed to a limited microscale of homogeneity, and particularly laser-induced preferential evaporation of volatile elements. Using a number of measured data points, the mean and median were statistically recommended to improve precision. An attempt to use of similar matrix in both standard and sample is a critical point to consider to minimize the elemental fractionation effect. The proposed approach to prepare matrix-matched material could be a potential means for achieving elemental quantitation.

False flax (Camelina sativa L.), known as camelina, is an ancient oil plant that has gathered renewed interest. In this study, a comprehensive analysis encompassing nontargeted volatilomics and targeted, quantitative metabolomics performed for cold-pressed oil and press cake and was integrated with sensory analysis of cold-pressed camelina oil and the effect of seed roasting was evaluated. Roasting in general resulted in the formation of 22 new volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in oil, while roasting at 140 and 180 °C resulted in the formation of 12 and 124 unique VOCs, respectively. Roasting notably influenced the profile of primary and secondary metabolites in both oil and press cakes, as well as volatilome and aroma of cold-pressed camelina oil. Many VOCs can be attributed to thermal degradation of primary and secondary metabolites. Roasting intensified the flavour of cold-pressed camelina oil, enhancing the perception of notes formed through the Maillard reaction.

The production of wheat straw waste board materials encounters challenges, including inadequate inherent adhesiveness and the utilization of environmentally harmful adhesives. Employing a hot-pressed method for converting wheat straw into board materials represents a positive stride towards the resourceful utilization of agricultural wastes. This study primarily focuses on examining the influence of hot-pressing process conditions on the mechanical properties of wheat straw board materials pretreated with dilute acid. Additionally, it assesses the necessity of dilute acid treatment and optimizes the hot-pressing conditions to achieve optimal results at 15 MPa, 2 h, and 160 °C. Furthermore, a comprehensive process is developed for preparing wheat straw hot-pressed board materials by combining dilute acid pretreatment with surface modification treatments, such as glutaraldehyde, citric acid, and rosin. Finally, a thorough characterization of the mechanical properties of the prepared board materials is conducted. The results indicate a substantial improvement in tensile strength across all modified wheat straw board materials compared to untreated ones. Notably, boards treated with glutaraldehyde exhibited the most significant enhancement, achieving a tensile strength of 463 kPa, bending strength of 833 kPa, and a water absorption rate of 14.14%. This study demonstrates that combining dilute acid pretreatment with surface modification treatments effectively enhances the performance of wheat straw board materials, offering a sustainable alternative to traditional wood-based board materials.

BACKGROUND: For elderly people with chronic lower back pain who need long-term management, there is a need for a nursing intervention study that is effective, is easy to perform, and applies complementary and alternative therapies to manage pain without repulsion. Hand pressure therapy is a treatment indigenous to Korea used to reduce pain and improve functions of daily life by applying acupuncture, pressure sticks, and moxibustion to parts of the hand as they relate to parts of the body. This research is to identify the effects of pellet pressed on the hand on pain and the daily lives of elders with chronic lower back pain (CLBP). METHODS: The hand pressed-pellet intervention period was six weeks long. Twenty-seven patients in the intervention group and twenty-four patients in the placebo control group were recruited from elderly over sixty-five who used welfare centers. In the intervention group, hand pressed-pellet therapy was conducted in eleven acupressure response zones related to CLBP, and the placebo control group was provided with similar therapy and zones, but unrelated to CLBP. The research tool measured the intensity of CLBP using the Visual Analogue Scale (VAS), the Korean Owestry Disability Index (K-ODI), which are subjective indicators, and the Compact Digital Algometer, which is an objective indicator. RESULT: The pain intensity (VAS) measured after six weeks of hand pressed-pellet therapy showed significant difference between the two groups compared to their pain before the experiment (F = 60.522, p < .001). There was a significant difference between the two groups in the pain pressure threshold using pressure statistics (F = 8.940, p < .001), and in CLBP dysfunction evaluation index (K-ODI) after applying pressed pellet to the hand (Z = - 3.540, p < .001). CONCLUSION: Subjective indicators were measured to verify the effect of hand pressed-pellet therapy on CLBP, and the result confirmed that the hand pressed-pellet therapy was effective in alleviating CLBP. TRIAL REGISTRATION: The study was registered retrospectively with reference number KCT0008024 on 23/12/2022.

This study aims to research on the mechanical and frost resistance properties of pressed concrete blocks mixed with the polymeric aluminum chloride (PAC) waste residue. Experimental studies on the activity index of volcanic ash, mechanical property, frost resistance and microstructure of pressed concrete blocks mixed with PAC waste residue were carried out. The results show that the activity index of volcanic ash of PAC waste residue reaches 74.96% at a particle size of 0.075 mm or less and a curing age of 28 days. Based on results of mechanical property tests, the optimum dosage of PAC waste residue is 15%, at which time the compressive and bending strength only decreases by 14.57% and 15.84%. Based on results of frost resistance tests, the optimum dosage of PAC waste residue for pressed concrete blocks is 10%. After 50 freeze-thaw cycles, when the dosage of PAC waste residue is 10%, the strength loss rate is only 3.04%. XRD and SEM tests show that PAC waste residue participates in chemical reactions. With a small amount of PAC waste residue, the structure of the specimen remains dense and therefore the strength decreases less.

Cold-pressed canola expellers (CPCE) are a byproduct of canola oil production obtained using the pressing method without thermal and chemical treatment. While CPCE is a valuable source of dietary energy and protein in swine nutrition, the discrepancy in processing conditions leads to variability in the nutritional quality of CPCE from different sources. This study aimed to determine the chemical composition, and digestible energy (DE) and metabolizable energy (ME) values of CPCE when fed to growing pigs. Samples of CPCE were collected from five processing facilities across Western Canada. The physical appearance of the CPCE samples hinted at a potential quality variation. Samples were subjected to a complete chemical characterization. Variations (P < 0.05) were observed in the chemical composition, with the exception of non-phytate phosphorus, xylose, mannose, and galactose. On a g/kg dry matter (DM) basis, CPCE samples ranged as follows: ether extract from 85 to 177; crude protein (CP) from 351 to 419; neutral detergent fiber 231 to 300; total dietary fiber from 326 to 373; glycoproteins from 30 to 76; non-starch polysaccharides from 188 to 204, non-phytate phosphorus from 5.5 to 6.4, and gross energy (GE) in kcal/kg 5,027 to 5,635. The total glucosinolates (GLS) ranged from 5.0 to 9.7 µmol/g DM. Thirty-six (36) growing barrows, with an average initial body weight of 19.2 ±â€…1.0 kg, were individually housed in metabolism crates and assigned to one of the six experimental diets in a completely randomized design, with six pigs per diet. The diets included a corn-soybean meal (SBM)-based basal diet (100%) and five (5) experimental diets in which 18% of the basal diet was substituted with CPCE from different producers. Pigs were fed the experimental diets for 10 d, with 5-d adaptation period, followed by a 5-d period for the total, but separate, collection of feces and urine. Significant differences (P < 0.05) among processing plants were observed in the DE and ME contents of CPCE, which averaged 3,531 and 3,172 kcal/kg DM, respectively. Differences (P < 0.05) were noted in the apparent total tract digestibility of GE, nitrogen (N), as well as in the retention of DM, GE, and N in CPCE samples. In conclusion, while the chemical composition and values of DE and ME in CPCE vary among processors, the byproduct obtained through cold pressing process can be a valuable source of energy and protein for pig nutrition.

Poly(acrylonitrile-co-methyl acrylate) (PAN-co-MA) electrospun nanofiber (ENF) was used as the support for the formation of polyamide (PA) thin films. The ENF support layer was post-treated with heat-pressed treatment followed by NaOH hydrolysis to modify its support characteristics. The influence of heat-pressed conditions and NaOH hydrolysis on the support morphology and porosity, thin-film formation, surface chemistry, and membrane performances were investigated. This study revealed that applying heat-pressing followed by hydrolysis significantly enhances the physicochemical properties of the support material and aids in forming a uniform polyamide (PA) thin selective layer. Heat-pressing effectively densifies the support surface and reduces pore size, which is crucial for the even formation of the PA-selective layer. Additionally, the hydrolysis of the support increases its hydrophilicity and decreases pore size, leading to higher sodium chloride (NaCl) rejection rates and improved water permeance. When compared with membranes that underwent only heat-pressing, those treated with both heat-pressing and hydrolysis exhibited superior separation performance, with NaCl rejection rates rising from 83% to 98% while maintaining water permeance. Moreover, water permeance was further increased by 29% through n-hexane-rinsing post-interfacial polymerization. Thus, this simple yet effective combination of heat-pressing and hydrolysis presents a promising approach for developing high-performance thin-film nanocomposite (TFNC) membranes.

BACKGROUND: Fat-suppressed (FS) T2-weighed turbo spin-echo (TSE) sequence was used to detect the signal of the thymus and the characteristics of the thymus location, measure the two-dimensional diameter at specific levels, and analyze the association with gestational weeks. METHODS: This study involved 51 fetal specimens. Post-mortem MRI scanning was implemented with a 3.0-T MRI system. T2-weighted imaging (T2WI) features of the thymus in fetuses were quantitatively investigated with DICOM images. Statistical analysis was done with the Chi-Square test, oneway ANOVA, and Student's t-test. RESULTS: There was heterogeneity in the morphology of the fetal thymus. FS T2-weighted TSE sequence clearly exhibited the microstructure of the fetal thymus. The thymus extensively showed a lobulated appearance. The central signal is much higher than the peripheral signal in each lobule. In addition, FS-T2WI images can clearly show the interlobular septum, which is filled with fluid and presents a linear high signal. The signal intensity of fetal thymus increased with gestational weeks. The diameter measured in a particular plane was highly correlated with gestational week. CONCLUSION: FS T2-weighted TSE sequence provides high-resolution images of the fetal thymus. The change in signal intensity, location, and two-dimensional diameter in a specific plane can be used as a research direction for the fetal thymus.

Alternative plant protein sources offer excellent solutions for tackling the current challenge of food insecurity and sustainability. Inspired by soy tofu, pressed gels represent a robust and versatile way to create protein-enriched plant products. Here, production of heat-induced pressed gels from canola cold-pressed cakes (CPC) and hot-pressed cakes (HPC) was investigated under varied stirring conditions. Pressed gels prepared from CPC resulted in a greater yield and protein recovery than that of HPC. While using carbohydrases as a pretreatment was ineffective in improving yield and protein recovery, applying a stirring condition during heating increased the protein recovery up to 38.3%. Also, stirring condition was proved to be able to modulate the textural properties by controlling the compactness and the size of aggregates. It is revealed that pressed gels are stabilized through a combination of hydrogen bonds, hydrophobic interactions, and disulfide bonds. In comparison to canola press cake, the pressed gels contained less glucosinolates and phenolic compounds, but more phytic acid. A mechanism of formation has been hypothesized based on the nucleation-growth mechanism, and a shift was proposed from diffusion-limited processes in non-stirred pressed gels to reaction-limited process in stirred pressed gels. In conclusion, the potential of canola heat-induced pressed gels was demonstrated both as a stand-alone product and a micro-structured protein extract.

The physicochemical properties, fatty acid composition and volatile aroma compounds of cold-pressed passion fruit seed oils were analyzed. The oils were rich in linoleic acid, oleic acid and volatile compounds. A total of 108 volatile compounds including 17 aldehydes, 23 alcohols, 21 esters, 19 ketones, 6 acids, 9 alkenes, 5 pyrazines and 8 others were identified using HS-GC-IMS. The significant differences of volatile compounds in the purple and yellow passion fruit seed oils were observed via the GalleryPlot graph and distinguished by principal component analysis. The results showed that acids, alcohols, esters and ketones were major aromatic compounds in purple passion fruit seed oils, which contribute to flavors such as flowery, fruity, creamy, yogurt. Whereas the contents of aldehydes, pyrazines, alkenes were higher in yellow passion fruit seed oils, which contributes to fatty and nutty odors. The findings filled in our understanding of volatilization characteristics in passion fruit seed oils.

A study was conducted to evaluate standardized ileal digestibility (SID) of amino acids (AA) and N-corrected apparent metabolizable energy (AMEn) values of cold pressed flaxseed meal (CPFM) for broilers. One hundred and twenty broiler chicks were divided into 20 groups of 6 birds/group and fed 2 diets in a completely randomized design (10 groups/diet) from 14 to 21 d of age. The diets were cornstarch-based containing CPFM or conventional soybean meal (SBM; reference feedstuff) as the sole protein source. A N-free diet fed in another study conducted in the same facility and at the same time that the current study was conducted was used to estimate basal endogenous AA losses, and to calculate gross energy retention by difference method. The CPFM had greater neutral detergent fiber and ether extract contents (21.40 vs. 8.18% and 20.4 vs. 2.47% as is, respectively), but lower CP (20.47 vs. 48.28% as is) than SBM. The SID values of all indispensable AA (except for Leu, Phe and Trp) for CPFM were lower (P < 0.05) than those for SBM. The apparent retention of gross energy (65.95 vs. 44.24%) and N (55.53 vs. 9.79%), and AMEn (2,699 vs. 2,491 kcal/kg) for CPFM were lower (P < 0.05) than those for SBM. In conclusion, CPFM can serve as alternative oilseed co-product feedstuff for poultry. However, the CPFM has lower SID of AA and AMEn values than SBM likely due to the greater fiber content in the former than in the latter.

Hot-pressed rapeseed oils with pleasant flavor, i.e., fragrant rapeseed oils, are favored by consumers, especially people from the southwest provinces of China. Although degumming is an important section in producing edible rapeseed oils, conventional degumming techniques are generally suffered from disadvantages such as moisture control, and large losses of micronutrients and flavors. In the present paper, hot-pressed rapeseed oils were treated with silica hydrogel to remove their gums, and changes in phospholipids, acid values, peroxide values, tocopherols, total phenols, and flavor compounds were analyzed to compare the silica hydrogel-degumming with conventional methods. The optimized conditions were suggested to be carried out at 45°C for 15 min, and the silica hydrogel dosage was 1.10%. More than 97.00% of phospholipids were removed after the degumming, and more than 85.00% of micronutrients, were retained in the treated oils. The degumming efficiency was therefore significantly higher than those operated by conventional acid degumming and soft degumming techniques. It was found that the dosage of the silica hydrogel significantly affected the removal rate of phospholipids compared with degumming time and temperature. There were nearly typical volatile compounds found in the rapeseed oils, while most of them kept almost stable after the silica hydrogel-degumming. In this regard, silica hydrogel adsorption exhibited little effect on volatile compounds, making it more suitable for the production of fragrant rapeseed oils.

Vegetable beverages are a convenient strategy to enhance the consumption of horticultural commodities, with the possibility of being fortified with plant by-products to increase functional quality. The main objective was to develop a new veggie beverage from broccoli stalks and carrot by-products seasoned with natural antioxidants and antimicrobial ingredients. Pasteurization, Ultrasound (US), and High Hydrostatic Pressure (HHP) and their combinations were used as processing treatments, while no treatment was used as a control (CTRL). A shelf-life study of 28 days at 4 °C was assayed. Microbial load, antioxidant capacity, and bioactive compounds were periodically measured. Non-thermal treatments have successfully preserved antioxidants (~6 mg/L ΣCarotenoids) and sulfur compounds (~1.25 g/L ΣGlucosinolates and ~5.5 mg/L sulforaphane) throughout the refrigerated storage, with a longer shelf life compared to a pasteurized beverage. Total vial count was reduced by 1.5-2 log CFU/mL at day 0 and by 6 log CFU/mL at the end of the storage in HHP treatments. Thus, the product developed in this study could help increase the daily intake of glucosinolates and carotenoids. These beverages can be a good strategy to revitalize broccoli and carrot by-products with high nutritional potential while maintaining a pleasant sensory perception for the final consumer.

Resveratrol (Res), a polyphenol compound with strong biological activity, is widely used in medicinal and health products. In this study, an innovative resveratrol high oleic peanut oil (Res-HOPO) was prepared utilizing self-developed cold pressing equipment and high oleic peanuts. The peanut roots were pretreated with four different methods, including ultra-fine crushing, ultrasound-treating, microwave-treating, and a combination of microwave-ultrasound-treating peanut roots. Under optimized conditions (microwave power of 15 W, ultrasound time of 28 min, and ultrasound power of 400 W), the Res-HOPO prepared by pretreating with a combination of microwave-ultrasound had the most Res (91.12 mg/kg). Except for the pretreated whole peanut roots, pretreating with microwave (40.49 mg/kg), ultrasound (39.03 mg/kg), and ultra-fine crushing of peanut root powder (22.57 mg/kg) resulted in the high Res content. The Res-HOPO had a satisfactory yield (40%), oleic acid content (74.05% ∼ 75.85%), no trans fatty acids, great physicochemical properties, higher nutritional value (4-fold increase in squalene and almost 10-fold increase in campesterol), an extended oxidation induction time (1.39 âˆ¼ 22 times), and no heavy metals, pesticides, or aflatoxins. The four green pretreatment methods used for the preparation of Res-HOPO in this study were effective, which provided an innovative approach for developing nutritious and healthy edible oil.
