OBJECTIVE: Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are used in the sterilization and manufacture of medical equipment. These compounds have high vapor pressures with low water solubility and are emitted as gases from solids or liquids. They can be mutagenic, neurotoxic, genotoxic, and/or carcinogenic. Safe limits of exposure are not known for neonates. This study examined determinants of exposure in newborns undergoing cardiac surgery. METHODS: Twenty metabolites of 16 VOCs (eg, xylene, cyanide, acrolein, acrylonitrile, N, N-dimethylformamide, 1,3-butadiene, styrene, and benzene) were measured as metabolites in daily urine samples collected from 10 neonates undergoing cardiac operations (n = 150 samples). Metabolites were quantified using reversed-phase ultra-high performance liquid chromatography and electrospray ionization tandem mass spectrometry. Repeated measures analysis of covariance was performed for each metabolite to examine associations with use of medical devices. RESULTS: At least 3 metabolites were detected in every sample. The median number of metabolites detected in each sample was 14 (range, 3-15). In a model controlling for other factors, the use of extracorporeal membrane oxygenation was associated with significantly (P ≤ .05) greater metabolite levels of acrolein, acrylonitrile, ethylene oxide, propylene oxide, styrene, and ethylbenzene. Patients breathing ambient air had greater levels of metabolites of acrolein, xylene, N,N-dimethylformamide, methyl isocyanate, cyanide, 1,3-butadiene (all P ≤ .05). CONCLUSIONS: Exposure to volatile organic compounds is pervasive in newborns undergoing cardiac surgery. Sources of exposure likely include medical devices and inhalation from the air in the intensive care unit. The contribution of VOC exposure during cardiac surgery in newborns to adverse outcomes warrants further evaluation.

This study validated an analytical technique using headspace gas chromatography with flame ionization detection to quantify acrylonitrile monomer with a quantification limit of 0.10 ± 0.04 µg kg-1 . Subsequently, the acrylonitrile migration from polypropylene granules was evaluated in food simulants water and ethanol (50% v/v) and at two temperatures (20 ± 1°C and 44 ± 2°C) for up to 6 weeks, representing the service time of a bottle. From the experimental data obtained, pseudo-second-order kinetics were adjusted to represent the acrylonitrile migration into the simulants. For water, equilibrium concentrations of 13.58 and 16.58 µg kg-1 at 20 and 44°C, respectively, were obtained, while for 50% ethanol, 15.07 and 16.40 µg kg-1 were obtained for the same temperatures. The experimental results and the values estimated from the migration kinetics indicate that the maximum acrylonitrile concentration will not exceed the tolerable specific limit established in regulations. PRACTICAL APPLICATION: The migration of compounds such as acrylonitrile can be a drawback resulting in an undesirable reduction in the shelf life of liquid foods packaged in bottles made of materials such as polypropylene. In this paper, acrylonitrile migration kinetics and a methodology are proposed to determine whether the tolerable migration limits are ever reached, which can serve as a tool for producers of this type of packaging of food to predict shelf life.

Three-dimensional (3D) printers have gained tremendous popularity and are being widely used in offices, laboratories, and private homes. Fused deposition modeling (FDM) is among the most commonly used mechanisms by desktop 3D printers in indoor settings and relies on the extrusion and deposition of heated thermoplastic filaments, resulting in the liberation of volatile organic compounds (VOCs). With the growing use of 3D printers, concerns regarding human health have risen as the exposure to VOCs may cause adverse health effects. Therefore, it is important to monitor VOC liberation during printing and to correlate it to filament composition. In this study, VOCs liberated with a desktop printer were measured by solid-phase microextraction (SPME) combined with gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS). SPME fibers featuring sorbent coatings of varied polarity were chosen for the extraction of VOCs liberated from acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS), tough polylactic acid, and copolyester+ (CPE+) filaments. It was found that for all three filaments tested, longer print times resulted in a greater number of extracted VOCs. The ABS filament liberated the most VOCs while the CPE+ filaments liberated the fewest VOCs. Through the use of hierarchical cluster analysis and principal component analysis, filaments as well as fibers could be differentiated based on the liberated VOCs. This study demonstrates that SPME is a promising tool to sample and extract VOCs liberated during 3D printing under non-equilibrium conditions and can be used to aid in tentative identification of the VOCs when coupled to gas chromatography-mass spectrometry.

In this study, we investigated the feasibility of detecting 35 urinary biomarkers of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) exposure in community wastewater. 24-h composited municipal wastewater samples were collected from two communities (n = 8) in the southeastern US. Using isotope-dilution liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry, results showed 16 metabolites were detected in wastewater samples, including indicators of exposure to acrolein, acrylonitrile, 1,3-butadiene, crotonaldehyde, n,n-dimethylformamide (DMF), ethylbenzene, nicotine, propylene oxide, styrene, tetrachloroethylene, toluene, and xylene. Additional metabolites qualitatively identified exposure to acrylamide and trichloroethylene. Community 1 (closer proximity to manufacturing facilities) had a greater number of detects (n = 36) and higher VOC loadings, 22,000 mg day-1 per 1000 people, as compared to Community 2 (n = 28), 7100 mg day-1 per 1000 people. Normalizing to nicotine consumption biomarkers to account for differences in smoking behaviors, Community 1 continued to have higher levels of propylene oxide, crotonaldehyde, DMF, and acrylonitrile exposures, VOCs generally sourced from manufacturing activities and vehicle emissions. This is the first study to utilize wastewater to detect urinary biomarkers of VOCs exposure. These preliminary results suggest the WBE approach as a potentially powerful tool to assess community health exposures to indoor and outdoor air pollutants.

A modified QuEChERS method for determining cyenopyrafen in strawberries, mandarins and their processed products was established with a good linearity (R2 > 0.9981), accuracy (recoveries of 83% to 111%) and precision (relative standard deviations of 0.9% to 14%). The limit of quantification (LOQ) was 0.01 mg/kg. Field results showed that the half-lives of cyenopyrafen were 6.8 and 11.8 d in strawberry and mandarin respectively, and that the final residues were within established maximum residue limits (MRLs). The household processing factors (PFs) for cyenopyrafen residues in strawberry and mandarin fruits were also studied: residues increased in strawberry jam (PF 1.51) and mandarin juice (1.31) but decreased in strawberries (0.58) and mandarin pulp (<0.17) after washing and peeling, respectively. A risk assessment showed that the risk from long-term dietary exposures to cyenopyrafen was 73.73%, indicating that consuming these products was unlikely to present a public health concern.

PURPOSE: To conduct a systematic review and meta-analysis of lung cancer among acrylonitrile-exposed workers. METHODS: A literature search through April 2020 was performed to identify relevant cohort and case-control studies. Data from these studies were meta-analyzed to generate summary relative risk estimates (SRREs). Heterogeneity was examined in sub-group and sensitivity analyses, and by meta-regression. RESULTS: Twenty-two studies were reviewed systematically, and 10 cohort studies and one case-control study were meta-analyzed. Individual relative risk estimates reported across studies were heterogeneous, with most being relatively weak in statistical strength and non-statistically significant on both sides of the null value. Meta-analysis of these data resulted in an SRRE of 1.04 (95% CI: 0.89-1.21; overall model, largely consisting of all workers exposed to acrylonitrile). Sub-group analyses and meta-regression did not support patterns of positive dose-response relationships by duration of exposure/employment or cumulative exposure. CONCLUSIONS: Although some positive associations have been reported in internal comparison analyses based on increasing exposure categories, few associations are statistically significant, there are no apparent or consistent patterns of dose-response, and the confounding influence of cigarette smoking was not adequately controlled. Thus, findings from this review and meta-analysis do not support an increased risk of lung cancer among acrylonitrile workers.

Due to the continual increase in waste generated from electronic devices, the management of plastics, which represents between 10 and 30% by weight of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE or e-waste), becomes indispensable in terms of environmental and economic impacts. Considering the importance of acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS), polycarbonate (PC), and their blends in the electronics and other industries, this study presents a new application of laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) for the fast and direct determination of PC and ABS concentrations in blends of these plastics obtained from samples of e-waste. From the LIBS spectra acquired for the PC/ABS blend, multivariate calibration models were built using partial least squares (PLS) regression. In general, it was possible to infer that the relative errors between the theoretical or reference and predicted values for the spiked samples were lower than 10%.

Printing devices are known to emit chemicals into the indoor atmosphere. Understanding factors that influence release of chemical contaminants from printers is necessary to develop effective exposure assessment and control strategies. In this study, a desktop fused deposition modeling (FDM) 3-dimensional (3-D) printer using acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) or polylactic acid (PLA) filaments and two monochrome laser printers were evaluated in a 0.5 m3 chamber. During printing, chamber air was monitored for vapors using a real-time photoionization detector (results expressed as isobutylene equivalents) to measure total volatile organic compound (TVOC) concentrations, evacuated canisters to identify specific VOCs by off-line gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) analysis, and liquid bubblers to identify carbonyl compounds by GC-MS. Airborne particles were collected on filters for off-line analysis using scanning electron microscopy with an energy dispersive x-ray detector to identify elemental constituents. For 3-D printing, TVOC emission rates were influenced by a printer malfunction, filament type, and to a lesser extent, by filament color; however, rates were not influenced by the number of printer nozzles used or the manufacturer's provided cover. TVOC emission rates were significantly lower for the 3-D printer (49-3552 µg h-1) compared to the laser printers (5782-7735 µg h-1). A total of 14 VOCs were identified during 3-D printing that were not present during laser printing. 3-D printed objects continued to off-gas styrene, indicating potential for continued exposure after the print job is completed. Carbonyl reaction products were likely formed from emissions of the 3-D printer, including 4-oxopentanal. Ultrafine particles generated by the 3-D printer using ABS and a laser printer contained chromium. Consideration of the factors that influenced the release of chemical contaminants (including known and suspected asthmagens such as styrene and 4-oxopentanal) from a FDM 3-D printer should be made when designing exposure assessment and control strategies.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) and polyamide implants in rabbits submitted to evisceration at the macroscopic and microstructure level and to assess clinical response and histopathological changes as well. For the experimental study implants of 12mm diameter were prepared by rapid prototyping, weighed and the outer and inner surfaces evaluated macroscopically and by electron microscopy. In addition, a compression test was performed and ultrastructural damage was then determined. After evisceration of the left eyeball, nine New Zealand rabbits received ABS implants and nine others received polyamide implants. The animals were assessed daily for 15 days after surgery and every seven days until the end of the study (90 days). Histopathological evaluation was performed at 15, 45 and 90 days after surgery. The ABS implants weighed approximately 0.44g, while the polyamide ones weighed 0.61g. Scanning electron microscopy demonstrated that the ABS implants had regular-sized, equidistant micropores, while the polyamide ones showed micropores of various sizes. The force required to fracture the ABS implant was 14.39 ±0.60 Mpa, while for the polyamide one, it was 16.80 ±1.05 Mpa. Fifteen days after surgery, we observed centripetal tissue infiltration and scarce inflammatory infiltrate. Implants may be used in the filling of anophthalmic cavities, because they are inert, biocompatible and allow tissue integration.(AU)


Avaliou-se a macroscopia, a microestrutura, a resposta clínica e histopatológica de implantes de acrilonitrila butadieno estireno (ABS) e poliamida em coelhos submetidos à evisceração. Para o estudo experimental, os implantes foram elaborados por meio de prototipagem rápida, com 12mm de diâmetro, pesados e tiveram suas superfícies avaliadas macroscopicamente e por microscopia eletrônica de varredura. Adicionalmente, foi realizado ensaio de compressão para determinar a força necessária para fraturar os implantes. Após a evisceração do olho esquerdo, nove coelhos da raça Nova Zelândia receberam implantes de poliamida e nove outros receberam implantes de ABS. Os animais foram avaliados diariamente nos primeiros 15 dias após a cirurgia e a cada sete dias até o fim do período experimental (90 dias). Avaliação histopatológica foi realizada aos 15, 45 e 90 dias após a cirurgia. Os implantes de ABS pesaram 0,44g, e os de poliamida 0,61g. A microscopia eletrônica de varredura demonstrou que os implantes de ABS eram formados por microporos equidistantes, enquanto os de poliamida apresentavam microporos de vários tamanhos. A força necessária para fraturar os implantes de ABS foi de 14.39±0.60 Mpa, enquanto para os de poliamida foi de 16.80±1.05Mpa. Quinze dias após a cirurgia, foi observada infiltração fibrovascular centrípeta. Os implantes podem ser utilizados para correção de cavidades anoftálmicas por se mostrarem inertes, biocompatíveis e permitirem a infiltração tecidual.(AU)

To evaluate occupational hazards for workers engaged into mechanical rubber production, the authors determined contents of acrylonitrile in serum and expired air, during occupational exposure and in reference group. Findings are that depending on occupation, age and length of service, acrylonitrile contamination level of expired air has intermittent effect. Main occupations workers are exposed to continuous inhalation of acrylonitrile vapors, with its average concentration of 0.01-0.015 mg/m3 in air of workplace. Acrylonitrile concentration in expired air of this group ranged from 0.0001-0.0009 mg/M3 - that is reliably (p <0.05) higher (5.5 times) than in expired air of the reference group members. Serum levels of acrylonitrile did not differ significantly between the main group and the reference group members.

Polymeric materials constitute a considerable fraction of waste computer equipment and polymers acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene and high-impact polystyrene are the main thermoplastic polymeric components found in waste computer equipment. Identification, separation and characterisation of additives present in acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene and high-impact polystyrene are fundamental procedures to mechanical recycling of these polymers. The aim of this study was to evaluate the methods for identification of acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene and high-impact polystyrene from waste computer equipment in Brazil, as well as their potential for mechanical recycling. The imprecise utilisation of symbols for identification of the polymers and the presence of additives containing toxic elements in determinate computer devices are some of the difficulties found for recycling of acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene and high-impact polystyrene from waste computer equipment. However, the considerable performance of mechanical properties of the recycled acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene and high-impact polystyrene when compared with the virgin materials confirms the potential for mechanical recycling of these polymers.

OBJECTIVES: To update a cohort study of chemical workers and reevaluate lung cancer mortality in relation to acrylonitrile (AN) exposure. METHODS: Subjects were 2096 workers employed during 1955 to 2011. We identified 474 deaths through 2011, and quantitatively estimated worker exposures to AN. Analyses included national and county-based standardized mortality ratios and relative risk regression of internal cohort rates. RESULTS: We found no statistically significant excess mortality risks associated with Lima employment for any cause of death category, including lung cancer and other cancer sites implicated in previous studies. CONCLUSIONS: This update provides no evidence that exposure to AN at levels experienced by Lima workers is associated with an increased risk of lung cancer mortality, as suggested in original study. Earlier reported bladder cancer risks decreased to a much lower, not statistically significant level.

BACKGROUND: The diagnosis of cholangiocarcinoma (CCA) in patients with primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC) is particularly difficult. The role of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) for diagnosis of CCA in patients with PSC is not known. OBJECTIVE: Our aim was to identify potential VOCs in the headspaces (gas above the sample) in bile that may predict CCA in patients with PSC. DESIGN: Prospective cross-sectional study. SETTING: Referral center. PATIENTS: A total of 32 patients undergoing ERCP for PSC and for CCA complicating PSC. INTERVENTIONS: ERCP, bile aspiration. MAIN OUTCOME MEASUREMENTS: Selected ion flow tube mass spectrometry was used to analyze the concentration of 22 prevalent VOCs in bile samples. Logistic regression analysis was performed to build a predictive model for diagnosis of CCA. RESULTS: Levels of several compounds (ethanol, acrylonitrile, acetonitrile, acetaldehyde, benzene, carbon disulfide, dimethyl sulfide, 2-propranolol) were significantly different in patients with CCA complicating PSC compared with those having PSC (P < .05). By using receiver operating characteristic curve analysis, we developed a model for the diagnosis of CCA adjusted for age and sex based on VOC levels of acrylonitrile, 3-methyl hexane, and benzene. The model (2.3239*log [acrylonitrile] + 0.9871*log [3-methyl hexane] + 0.8448*log [benzene]) < -0.12 identified the patients with CCA (area under the curve [AUC] = 0.89), with 90.5% sensitivity and 72.7% specificity (P = .02). LIMITATIONS: Sample size. CONCLUSION: The measurement of VOCs in biliary fluid may be useful to diagnose CCA in patients with PSC. A larger study with a longitudinal study design is required to confirm our pilot observations to diagnose CCA early in patients with PSC. ( CLINICAL TRIAL REGISTRATION NUMBER: NCT01565460.).

OBJECTIVE: To establish a method for rapid determination of airborne acrylonitrile using a portable gas chromatograph. METHODS: A single standard sample of acrylonitrile was prepared in a laboratory and sampled by the built-in constant flow pump of the portable gas chromatograph. The sample was then preconcentrated by the preconcentrator, thermally desorbed, separated by capillary columns, and detected by a micro argon ionization detector to determine the retention time. Retention time was then used to perform qualitative analysis. Under the set condition of gas chromatography, the external standard method was used to create a standard curve for quantitative analysis of acrylonitrile. RESULTS: The linear range of acrylonitrile on the portable gas chromatograph was 0.25 to 3.00 mg/m(3). The regression equation was y = 10(-5) x-0.0275, r = 0.9977. The limit of detection was 0.005 mg/m(3), and the lower limit of quantification was 0.25 mg/m(3). The relative standard deviation was lower than 7.09%, and the degree of accuracy was 91.09-105.54%. CONCLUSION: Portable gas chromatography is a simple, repeatable, and accurate method for rapid determination of airborne acrylonitrile.

The August 1999 earthquake in Turkey damaged three acrylonitrile (AN) storage tanks at a plant producing synthetic fiber by polymerization. A numerical modeling study was carried out to analyze the groundwater flow and contaminant (AN) transport at the spill site. This study presents the application of a numerical groundwater model to determine the hydrogeological parameters of the site, where such data were not available during the field surveys prior to the simulation studies. The two- and three-dimensional transient flow and transport models were first calibrated using the first 266days of observed head and concentration data and then verified using the remaining 540-day observed data set. Off-site migration of the contaminant plume was kept under control within the site boundaries owing to the favorable geology of the site, the characteristics of the local groundwater flow regime and the pumping operations. As expected, the applied pump-and-treat system was effective at high-permeability zones, but not fully effective at low-permeability zones. The results of long-term simulations for unconfined aquifer showed that the size of the plume in the high permeability zone shrank significantly due to the dilution by natural recharge. However, in the low permeability zone, it was not significantly affected. The study showed that accurate and sufficient data regarding the source characteristics, concentration and groundwater level measurements, groundwater pumping rates and their durations at each of the extraction points involved in the pump-and-treat system along with the hydrogeological site characterization are the key parameters for successful flow and transport model calibrations.

A screening-level risk assessment was conducted for styrene-acrylonitrile (SAN) Trimer detected at the Reich Farm Superfund site in Toms River, NJ. Consistent with a screening-level approach, on-site and off-site exposure scenarios were evaluated using assumptions that are expected to overestimate actual exposures and hazards at the site. Environmental sampling data collected for soil and groundwater were used to estimate exposure point concentrations. Several exposure scenarios were evaluated to assess potential on-site and off-site exposures, using parameter values for exposures to soil (oral, inhalation of particulates, and dermal contact) and groundwater (oral, dermal contact) to reflect central tendency exposure (CTE) and reasonable maximum exposure (RME) conditions. Three reference dose (RfD) values were derived for SAN Trimer for short-term, subchronic, and chronic exposures, based upon its effects on the liver in exposed rats. Benchmark (BMD) methods were used to assess the relationship between exposure and response, and to characterize appropriate points of departure (POD) for each RfD. An uncertainty factor of 300 was applied to each POD to yield RfD values of 0.1, 0.04, and 0.03 mg/kg-d for short-term, subchronic, and chronic exposures, respectively. Because a chronic cancer bioassay for SAN Trimer in rats (NTP 2011a) does not provide evidence of carcinogenicity, a cancer risk assessment is not appropriate for this chemical. Potential health hazards to human health were assessed using a hazard index (HI) approach, which considers the ratio of exposure dose (i.e., average daily dose, mg/kg-d) to toxicity dose (RfD, mg/kg-d) for each scenario. All CTE and RME HI values are well below 1 (where the average daily dose is equivalent to the RfD), indicating that there is no concern for potential noncancer effects in exposed populations even under the conservative assumptions of this screening-level assessment.

This paper describes a direct analysis study carried out in a recycling unit for waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) in Portugal to characterize the plastic constituents of WEEE. Approximately 3400 items, including cooling appliances, small WEEE, printers, copying equipment, central processing units, cathode ray tube (CRT) monitors and CRT televisions were characterized, with the analysis finding around 6000 kg of plastics with several polymer types. The most common polymers are polystyrene, acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene, polycarbonate blends, high-impact polystyrene and polypropylene. Additives to darken color are common contaminants in these plastics when used in CRT televisions and small WEEE. These additives can make plastic identification difficult, along with missing polymer identification and flame retardant identification marks. These drawbacks contribute to the inefficiency of manual dismantling of WEEE, which is the typical recycling process in Portugal. The information found here can be used to set a baseline for the plastics recycling industry and provide information for ecodesign in electrical and electronic equipment production.

Glutamic acid is an important constituent of waste streams from biofuels production. It is an interesting starting material for the synthesis of biobased chemicals, thereby decreasing the dependency on fossil fuels. The objective of this paper was to compare the environmental impact of four biobased chemicals from glutamic acid with their petrochemical equivalents, that is, N-methylpyrrolidone (NMP), N-vinylpyrrolidone (NVP), acrylonitrile (ACN), and succinonitrile (SCN). A consequential life cycle assessment was performed, wherein glutamic acid was obtained from sugar beet vinasse. The removed glutamic acid was substituted with cane molasses and ureum. The comparison between the four biobased and petrochemical products showed that for NMP and NVP the biobased version had less impact on the environment, while for ACN and SCN the petrochemical version had less impact on the environment. For the latter two an optimized scenario was computed, which showed that the process for SCN can be improved to a level at which it can compete with the petrochemical process. For biobased ACN large improvements are required to make it competitive with its petrochemical equivalent. The results of this LCA and the research preceding it also show that glutamic acid can be a building block for a variety of molecules that are currently produced from petrochemical resources. Currently, most methods to produce biobased products are biotechnological processes based on sugar, but this paper demonstrates that the use of amino acids from low-value byproducts can certainly be a method as well.

Molecular-imprinted membranes of Puerarin were prepared by phase inversion technique with acrylonitrile-acrylic acid copolymer (P (AN-co-AA)). To characterize P (AN-co-AA), ubbelohde viscometer was used to measure its viscosity-molecular weight. P (AN-co-AA) with different molecular weight was used to prepare membranes. The copolymer-dimethyl sulfoxide solution with Puerarin (PU) template was coagulated in water at various temperatures. The increase in P (AN-co-AA) molecular weight and the decrease in coagulation temperature caused an increase in PU recognition property of the resultant membrane. The PU imprinted membrane prepared with P (AN-co-AA) showed good selective ability to PU. The purity of PU increased from 56.51 to 98.41 wt%. Surface and cross-section morphology of the membranes were analyzed by using scanning electron micrograph. High-performance liquid chromatography was used for the quantification of Puerarin in isolated fraction.

An ion mobility spectrometer array was designed, in order to broaden the detection range of ion mobility spectrometer and improve the accuracy of compound identification. This instrument was based on the combination of ionization sources of 63Ni positive ion mode, 63Ni negative ion mode and photoionization mode with vacuum UV lamp, and it can continuously monitor the volatile organic compounds in air. With the automatic system of sampling and injection of this instrument, the positive ion of dimethyl sulfoxide and negative ion of dichloromethane were detected simultaneously. By comprehensive analysis of spectra with ion mobility spectrometer array, acrylonitrile, m-xylene and acetone were identified, which were difficult to be distinguished under the 63Ni positive ion mode. Acetone samples were determined quantitatively within four days continuously, and the results indicated that the linear range of acetone in this instrument was 2 orders of magnitude. The linear correlation coefficient R was higher than 0.995, and the relative standard deviations were controlled in the range of 4.0%-18.3%. Methacrylate leaked in simulation was monitored on-line for 24 h continuously, using the method of dynamic tracking, and the result showed the leaking time and the concentration of methacrylate directly.
