Identificação dos adolescentes de hoje com personagem de cinderela / Identificacion of the today´s adolescents with the cinderela perfonage

RESUMO

Publicado em 1981 por Colette Dowling, Complexo de Cinderela descreve um modelo de mulher que prefere acomodar-se em um casamento a competir no mercado de trabalho. O objetivo deste ensaio foi verificar se ainda se encontram, nas adolescentes de hoje, características que permitam a comparação com a personagem Cinderela das histórias infantis. Um questionário fechado foi aplicado em 200 jovens de nível sócio-econômico médio para a coleta dos dados. Os resultados sugerem que, ainda hoje, podemos verificar parcialmente o mesmo modelo de mulher descrito no início dos anos 80.

ABSTRACT

Published in 1981 by Colette Dowling, Cinderella Complex describes a woman role model that prefers to stay comfortable in a marriage rather than to compete into the work market. The objective of this essay was to investigate if we still can find currently adolescents’ characteristics that allow the comparison with the Cinderella character of the fairy tale. A closed questionnaire for gathering the data was used. The results suggested that, still today, we partially find the described model of woman in the beginning of 80’s.
