The cytotoxic effect of citrinin on three renal cells, i.e. LLC-MK2, PK-15 and MDBK has been studied regarding the fact that the kidney is the target organ affected by citrinin. After reaching the highest non-toxic concentrations of three cultivations, the morphological alterations of the cells were observed. The culture of MDBK cells has showed distinct morphological alterations. One of them is the chromtolisis of the nuclear material.

Considerando que o rim é o órgão alvo mais afetado pela citrinina, estudamos o seu efeito citotóxico sobre três células de linhagem renais: LLC-MK2, PK-15 e MDBK. Após a determinação das concentrações máximas não tóxicas para os três cultivos, empregamos estas dosagens para a avaliação das alterações morfológicas celulares. A cultura de células MDBK demonstrou alterações morfológicas mais distintas, sendo uma das principais a cromatólise (dispersão) do material nuclear.

Considerando que o rim é o órgão alvo mais afetado pela citrinina, estudamos o seu efeito citotóxico sobre três células de linhagem renais: LLC-MK2, PK-15 e MDBK. Após a determinação das concentrações máximas não tóxicas para os três cultivos, empregamos estas dosagens para a avaliação das alterações morfológicas celulares. A cultura de células MDBK demonstrou alterações morfológicas mais distintas, sendo uma das principais a cromatólise (dispersão) do material nuclear.    

Study of the celular growth cinetics in kidney all cultures treated with citrinin / Estudo da cinética do crescimento celular em culturas de células renais, tratadas com citrinina

The cytotoxic effect of citrinin on three renal cells,  LLC-MK2, PK-15 and MDBK, has been studied regarding the fact that the kidney is the target organ affected by citrinin. The citrinin acted intensively on the growth of the cells, inhibiting it mainly in the first hours. There was a decrease of the LLC-MK2, cell cultivation concerning the cultivation treated with micotoxin after 24 hours of incubation. Although less intensively, the same thing happened to the PK-15 and the MDBK cultivations. The statements mentioned above were confirmed by statistic analyses.

O efeito citotóxico da citrinina sobre três linhagens de células renais: LLC-MK2, PK-15 e MDBK, foi estudado considerando o fato de que a rim é o Órgão alvo afetado pela citrinina. A citrinina atuou intensamente sobre o crescimento celular inibindo-o, sobretudo nas primeiras. A cultura de células LLC-MK2 apresentou um decréscimo acentuado do cultivo tratado com a micotoxina, com 24 horas de incubação. O mesmo ocorreu com os cultivos PK-15 e MDBK, porém com menor intensidade. As afirmações acima mencionadas foram confirmadas através de análise estatística.
