Importância e participação do gene TP53 na carcinogênese

O gene TP53 tem função vital para a célula, sendo responsável por detectar danos e reparar o DNA quando necessário, durante o processo de divisão celular. Quando ocorre mutação do gene p53 e consequentemente sua perda de função ou atuação de forma incorreta e ineficaz, células danificadas e anormais tem origem, o que resulta muitas vezes em neoplasias.

The p53 gene has a vital function for the cell, being responsible for detecting damage and repairing the DNA when necessary, during the process of cell division. When there is a mutation of the p53 gene and consequently its loss of function or acting incorrectly and ineffectively, damaged and abnormal cells originate, which often results in neoplasms.
