Resumo
This paper addresses the importance of the discipline of Agricultural Efficiency and Planning for courses in agricultural sciences, with some basic concepts about DEA analysis (data envelopment analysis). It aims to evaluate the relative efficiency of the notes, coefficient of performance and absences of students taking this course, through the DEA analysis, by UNESP Ilha Solteira, Brazil. Methodologically, the BCC model and the output orientation, in order to consider the maximization of notes and correlation coefficient (outputs), given the absences recorded (input) for each of the 27 students. It is noted that a 27.14% reduction in the overall average among students, compared to the best effieiency of the class, showed the coefficient of performance at 9.84%, and that the differences between targets and actual log data demonstrate the relationship variables that can make efficient representation of the ideal outputs. We conclude that the DEA analysis proved to be an important tool to evaluate discipline, serving as a reference for teachers to establish goals that encourage having a better standard of academic performance, extended also to other disciplines.
Este trabalho aborda a importância da disciplina de Eficiência Agropecuária e Planejamento para os cursos de Ciências Agrárias, com alguns conceitos básicos sobre análise DEA (data envelopment analysis). Objetivou avaliar a eficiência relativa das notas, coeficiente de rendimento e faltas dos alunos que cursaram a disciplina, por meio da análise DEA, junto à UNESP Ilha Solteira, Brasil. Metodologicamente, foram escolhidos o modelo BCC e a orientação output, de forma a considerar a maximização de notas e coeficiente de relação (outputs), dada as faltas registradas (input), para 27 alunos. Observou-se uma redução em 27,14% da média geral entre os alunos, comparativamente à classe de melhor eficiência, concomitantemente ao coeficiente de rendimento, em 9,84%; e que as diferenças entre alvos e dados atuais de registro demonstram a relação que as variáveis possam tornar eficientes, representando os outputs ideais. Conclui-se que a análise DEA demonstrou ser uma importante ferramenta para avaliar a disciplina, servindo como referência aos docentes para estabelecer metas que incentivem a possuírem um melhor padrão de desempenho acadêmico, extensivo também para outras disciplinas.
