GERMINAÇÃO DE SEMENTES DE GLIRICIDIA (GLIRICIDIA SEPIUM (Jacq.) Steud)

ABSTRACT

The effect of temperature and substrate on the germination of gliricídia (Gliricidia sepium (Jacq.) Steud) was studied in laboratorial conditions. Seeds were placed on towel paper, sand and vermiculite substrate. Seed germination was evaluated at 25°C, 30°C and 20-30°C. The results demonstrated that alternating the temperature between 20-30°C with sand, and 25°C for vermiculite were the best treatments with higher values than the others.

RESUMO

Estudou-se o efeito da temperatura e do substrato sobre a germinação de sementes de gliricídia (Gliricidia sepium (Jacq.) Steud) em condições de laboratório. Testou-se as temperaturas de 25, 30 e 20-30°C em substratos de papel toalha, areia e vermiculita. Os melhores resultados de germinação foram verificados para as temperaturas de 20-30°C e 25°C, em substratos de areia e vermiculita, respectivamente.
