Resumo
Os problemas de sanidade das pequenas propriedades rurais afetam a qualidade do leite. O objetivo do presente estudo foi verificar a incidência de mastite clínica e subclínica por meio do teste da caneca telada e do Califórnia Mastite Teste (CMT), em cinco pequenas propriedades do município de AraguariMG. A pesquisa foi realizada com 69 animais, sendo as coletas realizadas nos meses de junho, julho e agosto de 2010. A incidência de mastite clínica foi menor (10,5%) que a subclínica (33%). Fatores como ordem de parto, período de lactação, uso de pré e pós dipping, higiene do curral e na ordenha, uso de caneca telada e CMT não influenciaram na incidência de casos clínicos e subclínicos.(AU)The sanity problems of small farms affect the quality of milk. The aim of this study was determine the incidence of clinical and subclinical mastitis using the California Mastitis Test (CMT) and mug test in five small properties in Araguari County (Brazil, Minas Gerais state). The research was conducted with 69 animals; samples were performed in the months of June, July and August 2010. The incidence of clinical mastitis was lower (10.5%) than subclinical (33%). Factors such as calving order, lactation period, pre and post dipping, the cleaning of corral and care in milking, using mug test and CMT did not influence the incidence of clinical and subclinical mastitis.(AU)
