ABSTRACT

The objective of the study was to evaluate the effect of the topic treatment of the commercial cream in cutaneous wounds in cats submitted to ovarysalpingohisterectomy through clinic, histological and bacteriological analyses. Thirty six unknown breed cats were divided into three groups test group (Triticum vulgare), reference group (Helianthus annus) and control group (distilled water). Clinical, morphometric, histological and bacteriological evaluations of the wounds were performed in the 3rd, 7th and 14th days after surgery. O objetivo deste estudo foi avaliar o efeito do tratamento tópico do creme de uso comercial em feridas cutâneas em gatas submetidas à ovariosalpingohisterectomia mediante análise clínica, histológica e bacteriológica. Trinta e seis gatas, sem raça definida, foram distribuídas em três grupos, sendo grupo teste (Triticum vulgare), grupo referência (Helianthus annus) e grupo controle (água destilada). Foram realizadas avaliações clínica, morfométrica, histológica e bacteriológica das feridas no 3º, 7º e 14º dias pós-cirúrgico.
