Resumo
O presente estudo teve como objetivo, aferir a pressão arterial de 30 cães portadores de insuficiência renal, utilizando-se de oscilometria indireta para o diagnóstico da hipertensão arterial secundária. Após as mensurações da pressão arterial os cães foram divididos em dois grupos. Grupo I (Cães Normotensos) e Grupo II (Cães portadores de Hipertensão Arterial Secundária). Foram considerados hipertensos os cães que após 10 mensurações da pressão arterial apresentavam pressão arterial sistólica maior que 150 mmHg, pressão arterial diastólica maior que 90 mmHg e pressão arterial média que 110 mmHG. Ressalta-se que esses cães encontravam-se com batimentos cardíacos menor ou igual a 120 bpm, minimizando dessa forma a hipertensão pelo jaleco branco, síndrome caracterizada pelo aumento súbito da pressão arterial devido ao medo ansiedade e stress durante o momento do exame. Após a análise estatística as conclusões a que se chegaram foi que a hipertensão se fez presente em 40% dos animais insuficientes renais. O autor propõe uma tabela para realização de outros estudos e classificação da hipertensão arterial como leve, moderada, grave ou muito grave(AU)The present study had as an objective to measure the arterial pressure in 30 dogs with renal insufficiency, using indirect oscilometry to diagnose the secondary arterial hypertension. After measuring the blood pressure, the dogs were divided in two groups. Group I (dogs with normally blood pressure) and Group II (dogs with secondary arterial hypertension). The dogs that after 10 blood pressure measurements showed systolic arterial pressure higher than 150mmHg, diastolic arterial pressure higher than 90mmHg and regular arterial pressure higher than 110mmhg were considered hypertensive. It is important to emphasize that these dogs had the heart beats lower or equal to 120, minimizing this way the hypertension by white short jacket. After the statistical analysis the conclusions made were that the hypertension was present in 40% of the animals with renal insufficiency. The author proposes a chart for making other studies and classifying the arterial hypertension in soft, medium, serious or very serious(AU)
