Resumo
The use of ovariossalpingo-hysterectomy for elective sterilization of bitches and cats has been commonly performed in the surgical routine of hospitals and veterinary clinics. However, the incorporation of the modern surgical arsenal has been gaining ground due to the advantages related to the reduction of surgical trauma. However, some techniques require greater qualification and improvement of the professional involved, considering situations result in greater technical difficulty. In this context, the use of titanium clips in the ovaries-hysterectomy reduces the traction performed by ovarian exposure and the risks of bleeding, optimizing the procedure as a whole.(AU)
