Resumo
The clinical, radiographic and pathological anatomy aspects of a hypertrophic osteopathy case in a horse are described in the present article. After a relatively short evolution, the horse showed intense and widely distributed bone alterations, affecting the forelimbs from the second phalanx to the scapula and the hindlimbs to the pelvis. In the head, frontal bones, the cephalic and zygomatic portions of the temporal bones and the horizontal portion of the mandibula were also involved.São apresentados os aspectos clínicos, radiográficos e anatomopatológicos de um caso de osteopatia hipertrófica em um eqüino que, em um tempo de evolução relativamente curto, apresentou intensas alterações ósseas, amplamente distribuídas, envolvendo os ossos dos membros anteriores, desde a segunda falange até a escápula, os dos membros posteriores até a pelve e, na cabeça, os ossos frontais, os ossos temporais tanto na porção cefálica como nos processos zigomáticos e nos ramos horizontais das mandíbulas.
