Resumo

This experiment was carried out in Campo Alegre farm, located at Barbacena City, Minas Gerais State, Brazil, with the objective of evaluate the green matter yield (GM); the dry matter concentration (DM); dry matter yield (DMY); the morphological traits: the leaf lying, the decaing straw; stalk and leaf height and the ripeness characteristics by Brix concentration (%) at lower, medium and up parts of stalk, and maturation index of sugar-cane cultivars distinguished by maturation behavior of six sugar-cane cultivars, that were: IAC 86-2480 and IAC 86-2210 (early maturity); RB 72-454 and IAC 93-6006 (medium maturity); SP 81-3250; IAC 87-3396 (late maturity) during the first 1,25 year sugar-canes grown. The experimental design used was a randomized blocks with four replications and the plots were constituted by four rows spaced of 0,8m and 6m length. The greatest GM was attained with RB 72-454 (143.72t hc-1) and IAC 87-3396 (136.81t hc-1), and the early maturation behavior cultivars had yield bellow of 52t hc-1, and the DMY had similar performance to the GM. The NDF content were lower than 40%, with small value of IAC 87-3396 cultivar. The CP contents were, bellow of 1.87%. The conjoined analysis of morphological traits shows that IAC 87-3396 cultivar slowed best behavior, besides of the greatest yield production. The % of Brix wasnt different between cultivars, with values lowes
