The animals were directed to the surgery. It was isolated from the culture of the exsudate from all the teats witch bacterial mastitis Staphylococcus SP. In the normal mammary glands, there was no bacterial isolation. It was aimed to describe the technique of partial mastectomies in goats with unilateral gangrenous mastitis diagnosed at the Clinic of Large Animals - UFRPE and the re-establishment of the animal well-being with the physiologic production of the mammary gland´s milk in goats non-mastectomized, allowing the suckling of the kids.
