Resumo

RESUMO O Plasma Rico em Plaquetas (PRP) é um preparado do sangue total que contém diversos fatores de crescimento importantes na proliferação e diferenciação celular, angiogênese, além de síntese e deposição da matriz extracelular. Há na literatura diversos estudos sobre a ação do PRP na reparação de lesões musculoesqueléticas e cutâneas em várias espécies, com resultados promissores. Nesse sentido, o objetivo dessa revisão é relatar as propriedades do PRP, bem como a sua aplicação terapêutica em tecidos musculoesqueléticos e cutâneo, com enfoque particular na espécie equina. There are several studies in the literature about the action of PRP in the repair of musculoskeletal injuries and skin in several species, with promising results. Thus, the objective of this review is to describe the properties of the PRP, as well as its therapeutic application in musculoskeletal tissues and skin, but with particular focus on the equine species.
