Resumo
It was studied by histological methods the topographic and the microscopic morphology of the sinus node in the mules. This structure is located at the superior third of the sulcus terminalis, dihedran caval-atrial angle the left side of the junction of the cranial caval vein with the right atrium. The morphological characteristics of the specialized cells of the node, as well as the different types of fibers that compose the vascular connective stroma arestressed. Glycogen is abundant in the cytoplasm of the specialized cells of the node.A topografia e os aspectos histológicos do nó sinu-atrial em muares, são estudados. A aludida estrutura localiza-se no terço superior do sulco terminal, ângulo diedro cavo-atrial e face esquerdada junção da veia cava cranial com o átrio direito. O tecido nodal apresenta-se constituído por células delicadas, com núcleo único ou duplo de forma arredonda ou ovóide, nucléolo nítido e citoplasma acidófilo. No citoplasma das células do referido tecido o glicogênio se mostra abundante.
