The objective of this study was to determine the biological and thermal requirements of Harmonia axyridis fed daily with eggs of Anagasta kuehniella (Zeller). In laboratory experiments were conducted in climatic chambers at 18; 21; 24; 27 and 30oC. Larvae of the species were separated and kept in glass tubes and fed with eggs of A. kuehniella. The adult ladybug in 20 couples were separated and kept in plastic cups getting the same kind of food of the larval stage. The duration of larval, pupal and biological cycle (egg to adult) significantly decreased from 18 to 24oC, leveling off between 27 and 30oC. Survival was similar for first to fourth larval ínstar maintained at 18; 21 and 24oC, with greater survival of the biological cycle (egg to adult) and greater weight of the larvae to 27oC. The males of H. axyridis had higher longevity at temperatures of 18 and 21oC in comparison with females that were more enduring and fruitful to 24oC and 27oC, respectively. The lower thermal limit of the development life cycle (egg to adult) of H. axyridis was 12.4°C and thermal constant of 243.9 degree-days
