The term farmed chicken (Gallus gallus domesticus), designated to birds fed by natural products, without chemical additives, is created by the extensive or semi-extensive system, where birds have access to the soil and coexistence with other species of domestic animals, exposed to factors that provide favorable conditions for contamination by parasites. In this way, the helminths belonging to the phylum Nematoda and Plathyhelmintes (Cestodes and Trematódeos), use these birds as hosts, definitive or intermediary, to complete their cycles. In order to identify the profile of Intestinal Helminths of small hens in Arari microregion, Marajó Island, 23 specimens were collected in Soure, 19 in Salvaterra and 17 in Arari Waterfall; the helminths were analyzed by digestion of the digestive tract and its contents, followed by washing of the helminths in 0.9% NaCl solution and fixation in ethyl alcohol (95%), formaldehyde (3%) and acetic acid (2%) (AFA). The identified helminths were provisionally mounted between lamina and cover leaf and analyzed using light field microscopy and scanning electron microscopy followed by taxonomic identification. Three species of nematodes were identified: Ascaridia galli (33.89%), Odontoterakis crypturi (49.15%) and Capillaria obsignata (25.42%) and four cestodes, Raillietina cesticillus (25.42%), Raillietina tetragona, 84%), Raillietina magninumida (8.47%) and morphotype I (18.64%), so named, since it was not classified in any known taxa. Data analysis revealed a high prevalence (93.22%) of individuals harboring helminths. Soure represented the municipality with the most affected birds among the studied localities (38.59%). Odontoterakis crypturi was the most prevalent species in the municipality of Soure (69.5%) and Raillietina tetragona in Salvaterra (68.42%) and Arari waterfall (64.7%).
