Sharks and rays are commonly caught in various fishing gear, such as bottom trawls, broaches and gillnets, at various levels of the water column, either intentionally or as an accompanying fauna. The objective of this study was to analyze the stomach contents of the elasmobranchs captured by the pink shrimp trawl fleet and compare the identified items to the researched literature. A bibliographic survey was made based on national and international studies, and the material was obtained by request to the masters of the vessels that used trawls directed to the pink shrimp that landed in Guarujá. In the laboratory, the biometry was obtained: for streaks, obtaining the total length (CT) and disk width (LDi), in centimeters; and for sharks, the total length (CT) and fork (CF) in centimeters, in addition to the total weight (PT), in kilograms, and sexing. The stomachs were identified and weighed. The Repletion Degree (GR) was adjusted between 0 and 4, 0 (empty) and 4 (full), and for the stomach contents the Digestion Degree was adjusted between 0 and 4, 0 (Undigested) and 4 (Digested not identified). For the data analysis the following methods were employed: numerical frequency (% FN) and frequency of occurrence (% FO). The results were Sixty-two specimens were obtained: 20 batoids (seven Atlantoraja castelnaui, five A. cyclophora, five Dasyatis hypostigma, one Myliobatis freminvillei, one Gymnura altavela and one Sympterygia bonapartii); and 42 sharks (29 Squatina guggenheim and 13 S. occulta), from June 12 to September 19, 2015 and from June 15 to December 29, 2016. The study area comprised the coastline ahead of the states of Rio from January to Santa Catarina, at depths between 5 and 75 meters. Two stomachs of Grade 0; 17 stomachs of Grade 1; 15 of Grade 2; 15 of Grade 3 and 12 of Degree 4. In A. castelanaui were identified the items Mullus argentinae, Porichthys porosissimus, an Arhynchobatidae, Penaeidae shrimps and Nematoda; in A. cyclophora the crustacean Achelous spinicarpus was identified; In D. hypostigma, the crustacean Sycionia sp. and the fish Dactylopterus volitans, because they are not items described in the literature; in S. bonapartii were observed: Squillidae, Sicyionidae, Portunidae fragments, fragments of teleosts and Nematoda; in M. freminvillei were observed Penaeidae and Nematoda shrimps; in G. altavela no content found; in S. guggenheim were considered ix important The items Polydactylus sp., Pogonias cromis and Dactylopterus volitans, as they were not mentioned in the researched literature, and Doryteuthis sanpaulensis; in S. occulta the item Porichthys porosissimus was observed. The results of this work corroborated with some of the researched literature, besides observation of items not described previously, contributing to the enrichment of the information about the feeding habits of these species, and allows the continuity of samplings and further studies on the feeding of elasmobranchs.
