Resumo

Para avaliar a inclusão de diferentes combinações e níveis de prebióticos em substituição aos antibióticos melhoradores de desempenho, dois experimentos foram delineados. No primeiro estudo, 1250 pintos de corte machos, linhagem ROSS AP95, foram casualmente distribuídos em 5 tratamentos, com 10 repetições cada, objetivando testar diferentes proporções de mananos com -glucanos e frutoligossacarídeos com galactoligossacarídeos, combinados e incluídos em dietas de frangos de corte. Os tratamentos consistiram de: CP, dieta basal (DB) +AMD; DB+BUT: DB + Butirato de Cálcio; GM13+FG23: DB + GLUCANMOS (1/3 da mistura) : FOS:GOS (2/3 da mistura); GM12+FG12: DB + GLUCANMOS (1/2 da mistura) : FOS:GOS (1/2 da mistura); GM23+FG13: DB + GLUCAN MOS (2/3 da mistura) : FOS:GOS (1/3 da mistura). No segundo estudo, 1250 pintos de corte machos, linhagem ROSS AP95, foram casualmente distribuídos em 5 tratamentos, com 10 repetições cada, objetivando testar diferentes níveis de inclusão de GLUCANMOS (67% da mistura) associado a FOS:GOS (1:1). Os tratamentos consistiram de: CP, dieta basal (DB) +AMD; 0,1%; 0,2%; 0,3% e 0,4% de inclusão da mistura prebiótica. Foram avaliados o desempenho, peso relativo de órgãos, barreiras físicas e imunológicas dos segmentos do intestino delgado (integridade de vilosidades, células caliciformes e linfócitos intraepiteliais), histomorfometria de Bursa de Fabricius e contagem diferencial de leucócitos no sangue, ainda, foram quantificados os ácidos graxos de cadeia curta nos cecos e realizada contagem de unidades formadoras de colônias de E. coli e teste da atividade inibitória in vitro das substâncias antagônicas produzidas pelas amostras do pool de bactérias ácido láticas cecais frente à Salmonella enterica serovar Heidelberg. Os dados foram submetidos a ANOVA seguida de teste de médias de Tukey (5%), as contagens sanguíneas foram submetidas ao teste de medianas de Kruskal-Wallis (5%), no segundo estudo, adicionalmente, foi realizada análise de regressão para os níveis. As alterações na histomorfometria intestinal, de Bursa, microbiologia e microambiente cecais, não refletiram no desempenho das aves ao final do período de criação, independente dos tratamentos aplicados. Considerando que não há prejuízo ao ganho de peso, é possível recomendar as combinações e níveis prebióticos em substituição aos AMD, a decisão recai então no fator preço e no retorno financeiro esperado ao investimento no produto.

Aiming to evaluate the effects of different combinations and levels of prebiotics included in broiler chicken diets, replacing performance-enhancing antibiotics (PEA), on the birds performance and health, two experiments were delineated. For the first study, 1250 male ROSS AP95 day-old chicks were randomly distributed in 5 treatments, with 10 experimental units each, to test different proportions of mannan with -glucans and fructoligosaccharides with galactoligosaccharides, combined and included in diets. Treatments consisted of: positive control (PD), basal diet (BD) + PEA; BD + BUT: BD + Calcium Butyrate; GM1 / 3 + FG2 / 3: BD + GLUCANMOS (1/3 of the blend): FOS: GOS (2/3 of the blend); GM1 / 2 + FG1 / 2: BD + GLUCANMOS (1/2 of the blend): FOS: GOS (1/2 of the blend); GM2 / 3 + FG1 / 3: BD + GLUCAN MOS (2/3 of the blend): FOS: GOS (1/3 of the blend). In the second study, 1250 male ROSS AP95 day-old chicks were randomly distributed in 5 treatments with 10 experimental units each,to determine the optimal inclusion level of GLUCANMOS (67% of the mixture) associated with FOS: GOS (1: 1). Treatments consisted of positive control (PC), basal diet (BD) + PEA; 0.1%; 0.2%; 0.3% and 0.4% inclusion of the prebiotic mixture. Performance, relative organs weight, physical and immunological barriers of the small intestine segments (integrity of villi, goblet cells and intraepithelial lymphocytes), Bursa of Fabricius histomorphometry and differential leukocyte count in the blood; short chain fatty acids quantification in cecal content, counts of E. coli colony forming units and in vitro test of inhibitory activity of the antagonistic substances produced by the samples of the cecal lactic acid bacterial pool against Salmonella enterica serovar Heidelberg were also evaluated. Data were submitted to ANOVA followed by Tukey means test (5%), blood counts were submitted to Kruskal-Wallis median test (5%), in the second study, regression analysis was performed for levels. Changes in intestinal and Bursa histomorphometry, microbiology and cecal microenvironment, did not reflect on birds performance at the end of the breeding period, regardless of the treatments applied. Considering that there is no damage to the productive traits, it is possible to recommend the combinations and prebiotic levels in substitution of PEA, the decision for the combination to be adopted then falls on price factor and expected financial return to the investment in the product.
