Nutrition is one of the most important factors in poultry production, either by cost or animal response to feed quality. The objective of this study was to verify the influence of the geometric mean diameter (GMD) of the corn particle and the physical form of the diet on zootechnical performance, morphometry of the digestive tract and on the digestibility of feed nutrients in broilers. We evaluated 3,600 male ross 91 broilers from 14 to 39 days of age, distributed according to a completely randomized design in a 2 X 4 factorial scheme, two physical forms of feed (sniffed and pelletized) with four different maizerulometry in mm (GMD1: 819-824; GMD2: 1001-1084; GMD3: 1154-1248; GMD4: 1250-1312). All data were submitted to the Shapiro Wilk test and later ANOVA test with a 95% confidence level. Birds fed pelletized feed had a better weight gain (WG) (2.37+5.25 Kg) and in the diet (2.31 +5.25 Kg) (P<0.05) and Feed Conversion Index (CA) (2.31 +5.25 Kg) (P<0.05) and Feed Conversion Index (CA) (2.31 kg) (2.25 Kg) (2.05 kg) and Feed Conversion Index (CA) (2.31 kg) (2.25 kg) 1,593) compared with birds that consumed meal feed (1.614) (P<0.001) The best result in GP in granulometry in both lotted and pelletized feed were the intervals of the particle size of GMD2 corn, GMD3 and GMD4 (P<0.001). However, in the 30 to 39 days of age phase of the birds, the RG of those that consumed the meal feed (935.25g) was higher than those that consumed pelletized feed (914g), and these results were found in feed intake. For THE, the best result in GMD were intervals 2, 3 and 4 in the whole period of the experiment (P<0.05). The weight of the gizzard of the birds fed with meal feed (44.32 g) in the GMD2 interval was higher than in those fed pelletized feed (34.77 g) (P<0.001). The height of the ileum villi was higher in birds that consumed a lot of diet (513.98 m) than with pelletized (496.94 m) (P<0.05), as well as in the GMD3 interval (1.154-1.248mm) (P<0.001). The crypt depth of the ileum of birds fed with GMD2 interval in the meal feed showed the best result, in the same way that birds fed pelletized diets in GMD1 (P<0.05). Birds fed with mealed feed in the GMD2 interval presented at the height of the villus of the ileum 3.46 greater than the crypt depth (P<0.05). In digestibility there was no interaction (P>0.05). It was concluded that birds fed pelletized diets obtained better zootechnical performance, and with corn granulometry from GMD2 (1001-1084 mm), presented higher GP and better AC, regardless of the physical form of the diet. However, the diets with GMD2 showed better results for gastrointestinal tract morphometry of broilers. There was no influence of treatments on the digestibility of nutrients in the broiler diet.
