RESUMO

Hydrogen bonding interactions among poly vinyl alcohol (PVA), xanthan gum (XG) and acrylic acid (AA) molecules have been utilized to prepare an environment-friendly interpenetrating double-network hydrogel dust suppressant (PVA-XG-PAA/SDBS) with the aim of enhancing the poor mechanical performance of current hydrogel dust suppressants. A single factor test was used to determine the optimal formulation conditions for the PVA-XG-PAA/SDBS, and the viscosity, surface tension, compression strength, wind resistance, water retention and biodegradability of the samples were measured. The results showed that the hydrogel with optimal usage contained 1.5 g, 0.1 g, and 6 g of PVA, XG and AA, respectively and the optimal reaction temperature was 55 °C. Under the optimal conditions, the viscosity was 45 mPa s, the surface tension was 30 mN/m, the compression strength of the dust suppressant-solidified coal pillar reached 126 kPa, and the degradation rate at the 8th cycle (40 days) after being buried in soil was 34%. Compared with a conventional hydrogel dust suppressant, like poly acrylic acid (PAA), and the dust suppressant sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate (SDBS), the PVA-XG-PAA/SDBS showed better water retention, wind erosion resistance, and dust-solidifying properties. On the basis of these remarkable properties, the PVA-XG-PAA/SDBS is applicable for dust prevention during coal mining, transport, and storage, which enhances the dust suppression efficiency obviously and has significant meaning to the sustainable development of the coal mining industry while protecting the environment.

RESUMO

Focusing on the precise prediction of coal spontaneous combustion (CSC), temperature-programmed experiment was conducted to identify the coal spontaneous combustion indexes. Based on a conception that there should be no significant difference between the coal temperatures determined by different coal spontaneous combustion indexes with sufficient accuracy, an approach for evaluating the coal spontaneous combustion index by statistical analysis was developed. After mining data screening by the coefficient of variation (Cv), the arrays of coal temperature determined by different indexes were calculated with the curve fitting. The Kruskal-Wallis test was employed to analyze the differences between the arrays of coal temperature. Finally, the weighted grey relational analysis method was used to optimize the coal spontaneous combustion indexes. The results show that the production of gaseous compounds is positively correlated with coal temperature. In this case, O2/CO2 and CO2/CO were selected as the primary indexes, and CO/CH4 was used as the alternative index of coal at low-temperature stage (≤ 80 °C). The detecting of C2H4 and C2H6 were the confirmation indexes when the coal temperature reaches 90 °C ~ 100 °C. It could provide a reference to the determination of grading index of coal spontaneous combustion during mining and utilization.

RESUMO

Coal fire disaster caused by the spontaneous combustion of coal has always been one of the serious problems that threaten the safety of coal mining. In our study, we first solved the dynamic parameters and mechanical functions of coal gangue using the Achar differential method and Coats-Redfern integral method. Then, based on the flow and heat transfer mechanism of hot rod vapor-liquid two-phase flow, combined with coal spontaneous ignition conditions, influencing factors, coal pile spontaneous combustion temperature field structure distribution, etc., the heat transfer process of the hot rod in the coal pile (coal gangue mountain) was analyzed. Results show the average activation energies of the second stage of different types of coal mine gangue. Upon comparing the characteristic parameters of coal gangue in different regions and ages, it is found that 8# coal gangue has better combustion and burn-out characteristics, and its comprehensive combustion characteristics are second only to those of the coal gangue in Datong and higher than those in Panzhihua, Pingdingshan, and Hancheng. The higher the content of volatile matter and fixed carbon in coal gangue, the lower the ash content, and the better the comprehensive combustion performance of the coal gangue. Under the condition of sufficient oxygen supply combustion, the larger the fuel ratio, the better the burnout performance of the coal gangue. The test of the influence of the hot rod on the temperature field distribution inside the coal pile shows that the maximum cooling rate of a single hot rod to the coal pile during the test period is 33.4°C, and the maximum cooling rate reaches 39.6%. The calculated heat dissipation of the 80 h hot rod is 1.0865, 2.1680, and 3.3649 MJ, respectively.

RESUMO

As the core of artificial intelligence, machine learning has strong application advantages in multi-criteria intelligent evaluation and decision-making. The level of sustainable development is of great significance to the safety evaluation of coal mining enterprises. BP neural network is a classical algorithm model in machine learning. In this paper, the BP neural network is applied to the sustainable development level decision-making and safety evaluation of coal mining enterprises. Based on the analysis of the evaluation method for sustainable development of coal enterprises, the evaluation index system of sustainable development of coal enterprises is established, and a multi-layer forward neural network model based on error backpropagation algorithm is constructed. Based on the system theory of man, machine, environment, and management, and taking the four single elements and the whole system in a coal mine as the research object, this paper systematically analyzes and studies the evaluation and continuous improvement of coal mine intrinsic safety. The BP neural network evaluation model is used to analyze and study the intrinsic safety of coal mines, the shortcomings of the intrinsic safety construction of coal mines are found, and then improvement measures are put forward to effectively promote the safe production of coal mines and finally realize the intrinsic safety goal of the coal mine.

RESUMO

1. The development of resistance to all chemotherapeutic agents increases and needs to be addressed. We are interested in resistance in parasitic nematodes to the anthelmintic levamisole. During studies on methyridine, we found that it gave us a new insight into pharmacological changes associated with levamisole resistance. Initially, electrophysiological investigation using a two-micropipette current-clamp recording technique revealed that methyridine acts as a cholinergic agonist on nematode muscle receptors (Ascaris suum). Methyridine (>30 microm) produced reversible concentration-dependent depolarizations and increases in input conductance. Mecamylamine (30 microm) and paraherquamide (0.3 microm) produced reversible antagonism of the depolarization and conductance responses to methyridine. These observations suggest that methyridine, like acetylcholine and levamisole, gates ion channels on the muscle of parasitic nematodes. 2. The antagonistic effects of dihydro-beta-erythroidine and paraherquamide on methyridine-induced contractions of A. suum muscle flaps were then examined to determine if methyridine showed subtype selectivity for N-subtype (nicotine-sensitive) or L-subtype (levamisole-sensitive) acetylcholine receptors. Dihydro-beta-erythroidine weakly antagonized the effects of methyridine (but had no effect on levamisole responses). The antagonism of methyridine (pA2, 5.9) and nicotine (pA2, 6.1) by paraherquamide was similar, but was less than the antagonism of levamisole (pA2, 7.0). The antagonist profiles suggested that methyridine has a selective action on the N-subtype rather than on the L-subtype. 3. A novel use for a larval inhibition migration assay was made using L3 larvae of Oesophagostomum dentatum. Inhibitory effects of nicotine, levamisole, pyrantel and methyridine on the migration of larvae of levamisole-sensitive (SENS) and levamisole-resistant (LEV-R) isolates were tested at different concentrations. Levamisole and pyrantel (putative L-subtype-selective agonists) concentration-response plots were displaced to the right in LEV-R isolates. Nicotine (an N-subtype-selective agonist) and methyridine produced little shift in concentration-response plots in the LEV-R isolates. Resistance dose ratios were used to calculate the relative selectivity, rhoL, for the L-type receptor (levamisole rhoL=1.0; pyrantel rhoL=0.93; methyridine rhoL=0.17; nicotine rhoL=0.06). These observations reveal an N-subtype-selective action of methyridine and suggest that levamisole resistance may be associated with a loss of the L-subtype, but not the N-subtype receptors. The pharmacology of methyridine suggests an approach for the treatment of levamisole-resistant parasites.

RESUMO

NADPH oxidase 4 (NOX4) is a member of the NADPH oxidase gene family that regulates cellular differentiation, innate immunity and tissue fibrosis. Transforming growth factor-ß (TGF-ß1) is known to induce expression of NOX4 mRNA in mesenchymal cells. However, the mechanisms of transcriptional regulation of NOX4 are not well understood. In this study, we examined the transcriptional regulation of NOX4 in human lung fibroblasts by TGF-ß1. Five promoter-reporter constructs containing DNA fragments of 0.74kb, 1.35kb, 1.84kb, 3.97kb and 4.76kb upstream from the transcriptional start site (TSS) of the human NOX4 gene were generated and their relative responsiveness to TGF-ß1 analyzed. TGF-ß1-induced NOX4 gene promoter activation requires a region between -3.97kb and -4.76kb. Bioinformatics analysis revealed a 15bp AP-1/Smad binding element in this region. Mutation or deletion of either the AP-1 or the Smad element attenuated TGF-ß1 responsiveness of the -4.76kb NOX4 promoter. Furthermore, insertion of this AP-1/Smad box conferred TGF-ß1 inducibility to the non-responsive -3.97kb NOX4 promoter construct. Chromatin immunoprecipitation analysis indicated that phospho-Smad3 and cJun associate with this element in a TGF-ß1-inducible manner. These results demonstrate that the AP-1/Smad box located between 3.97kb and 4.76kb upstream of the TSS site of the NOX4 promoter is essential for NOX4 gene transcription induced by TGF-ß1 in human lung fibroblasts. Our study provides insights into the molecular mechanisms of NOX4 gene expression, informing novel therapeutic approaches to interfere with upregulation of NOX4 in diseases characterized by activation of the TGF-ß1/NOX4 pathway.
