RESUMO

Krüppel-like factor 13 (KLF13), a zinc finger transcription factor, is considered as a potential regulator of cardiomyocyte differentiation and proliferation during heart morphogenesis. However, its precise role in the dedifferentiation of vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs) during atherosclerosis and neointimal formation after injury remains poorly understood. In this study, we investigated the relationship between KLF13 and SM22α expression in normal and atherosclerotic plaques by bioanalysis, and observed a significant increase in KLF13 levels in the atherosclerotic plaques of both human patients and ApoE-/- mice. Knockdown of KLF13 was found to ameliorate intimal hyperplasia following carotid artery injury. Furthermore, we discovered that KLF13 directly binds to the SM22α promoter, leading to the phenotypic dedifferentiation of VSMCs. Remarkably, we observed a significant inhibition of platelet-derived growth factor BB-induced VSMCs dedifferentiation, proliferation, and migration when knocked down KLF13 in VSMCs. This inhibitory effect of KLF13 knockdown on VCMC function was, at least in part, mediated by the inactivation of p-AKT signaling in VSMCs. Overall, our findings shed light on a potential therapeutic target for treating atherosclerotic lesions and restenosis after vascular injury.

RESUMO

Constructing high-quality homojunctions plays a pivotal role for the advancement of two-dimensional transition metal sulfide (TMDC) based optoelectronic devices. Here, a lateral PdSe2 p-i-n homojunction is constructed by electrostatic doping. Electrical measurements reveal that the homojunction diode exhibits a strong rectifying characteristic with a rectification ratio exceeding 104 and an ideality factor approaching 1. When functioning in photovoltaic mode, the device achieves a high responsivity of 1.1 A/W under 1064 nm illumination, with a specific detectivity of 1.3 × 1011 Jones and a high linearity of 45 dB. Benefiting from the lateral p-i-n structure, the junction capacitance is significantly reduced, and an ultrafast response (3/6 µs) is obtained. Additionally, the photodiode has the capability of polarization distinction due to the unique in-plane anisotropic structure of PdSe2, exhibiting a dichroic ratio of 1.6 at a 1064 nm wavelength. This high-performance polarization-sensitive near-infrared photodetector exhibits great potential in the next-generation optoelectronic applications.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: In acute ischemic stroke, there is uncertainty regarding the benefit and risk of administering intravenous alteplase before endovascular thrombectomy. METHODS: We conducted a trial at 41 academic tertiary care centers in China to evaluate endovascular thrombectomy with or without intravenous alteplase in patients with acute ischemic stroke. Patients with acute ischemic stroke from large-vessel occlusion in the anterior circulation were randomly assigned in a 1:1 ratio to undergo endovascular thrombectomy alone (thrombectomy-alone group) or endovascular thrombectomy preceded by intravenous alteplase, at a dose of 0.9 mg per kilogram of body weight, administered within 4.5 hours after symptom onset (combination-therapy group). The primary analysis for noninferiority assessed the between-group difference in the distribution of the modified Rankin scale scores (range, 0 [no symptoms] to 6 [death]) at 90 days on the basis of a lower boundary of the 95% confidence interval of the adjusted common odds ratio equal to or larger than 0.8. We assessed various secondary outcomes, including death and reperfusion of the ischemic area. RESULTS: Of 1586 patients screened, 656 were enrolled, with 327 patients assigned to the thrombectomy-alone group and 329 assigned to the combination-therapy group. Endovascular thrombectomy alone was noninferior to combined intravenous alteplase and endovascular thrombectomy with regard to the primary outcome (adjusted common odds ratio, 1.07; 95% confidence interval, 0.81 to 1.40; P = 0.04 for noninferiority) but was associated with lower percentages of patients with successful reperfusion before thrombectomy (2.4% vs. 7.0%) and overall successful reperfusion (79.4% vs. 84.5%). Mortality at 90 days was 17.7% in the thrombectomy-alone group and 18.8% in the combination-therapy group. CONCLUSIONS: In Chinese patients with acute ischemic stroke from large-vessel occlusion, endovascular thrombectomy alone was noninferior with regard to functional outcome, within a 20% margin of confidence, to endovascular thrombectomy preceded by intravenous alteplase administered within 4.5 hours after symptom onset. RESUMO

PURPOSE: To evaluate the physical and cognitive functions of patients with stroke who underwent either direct or bridging thrombectomy within 6 hours of stroke onset. MATERIALS AND METHODS: Patients with large vessel occlusion in anterior circulation treated with direct (direct group) or bridging thrombectomy (bridging group) were prospectively analyzed between June 2020 and February 2022. The efficacy outcome was the 3-month modified Rankin Scale (mRS) score, the safety outcome was symptomatic intracranial hemorrhage (sICH), and cognitive function was assessed using the Clinical Dementia Rating (CDR) scale at 6 months after stroke. RESULTS: A total of 125 patients (direct group, n = 75; bridging group, n = 50) who had completed follow-up at 3 months by telephone call were included. No significant differences were observed between the direct and bridging groups in terms of an mRS score of 0-2 (25.3% vs 22.0%, respectively; P = .83), an mRS score of 0-3 (37.3% vs 44.0%, respectively; P = .58), sICH (17.3% vs 14.0%, respectively; P = .80), or 3-month all-cause mortality (36.3% vs 30.0%, respectively; P = .34). Sixty-nine patients (direct group, n = 38; bridging group, n = 31) completed the CDR assessment at 6 months after stroke. There was no significant difference in poststroke dementia, defined as a CDR score of ≥1 point between the direct group (42.1%) and bridging group (22.6%) (P = .12). Ordinal regression analyses showed that the CDR score at 6 months was not associated with treatment type (direct thrombectomy vs bridging thrombectomy). CONCLUSIONS: With regard to physical and cognitive functions at 3 and 6 months, direct thrombectomy was comparable with bridging thrombectomy in patients who were treated within 6 hours of stroke onset.

RESUMO

AIMS: The epidemiological evidence regarding the impact of ultra-processed foods (UPFs) on the risk of cardio-cerebrovascular diseases (CCVDs) is controversial. The aim of this systematic review and meta-analysis is to examine the association between UPF consumption and the risk of CCVDs within cohort studies. DATA SYNTHESIS: A systematic literature search was conducted across multiple databases, including PubMed/Medline, Embase, Web of Science, Scopus, and the Cochrane Library databases, covering the inception of these databases up until January 1st, 2023. A total of 39 cohort studies involving 63,573,312 human participants were deemed eligible according to the inclusion criteria. Utilizing random-effects models, risk ratios (RRs) were estimated to determine the pooled results. Our findings indicate a significant association between a higher consumption of UPF and an increased likelihood of CCVDs (RR: 1.08, 95% CI: 1.01-1.16, I2 = 89%; p < 0.01) compared to individuals who either abstain from or consume lesser amounts of UPF. Nonlinear dose-response meta-analyses showed that a consistent high intake of UPFs was associated with an elevated risk of developing CCVDs (p non-linearity <0.001). Notably, the risk of CCVDs escalated by approximately 7% with an UPF intake of up to 1 serving per day. Subgroup analysis further revealed a significant augmentation in the risk of total CVD and hypertension with increased UPF consumption. CONCLUSIONS: A higher intake of UPF significantly increases the risk of developing CCVDs. Prospective studies controlling for confounding factors are needed to validate the relationship between UPF intake and the development of CCVDs.

RESUMO

It has been assumed that patients with strict immunosuppressive treatment after solid organ transplantation have only marginal risk in developing autoimmune encephalitis. We reported a woman in her late 40 s who presented with generalized convulsions and loss of consciousness. After detailed history review, neuropsychological tests, metagenomic next-generation sequencing of serum and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) brain, and electroencephalogram, she was diagnosed as anti-CASPR2 encephalitis based on the positive anti-CASPR2 auto-antibody in serum and CSF. The patient underwent liver transplantation and has taken lenvatinib for 2 months, in addition to tacrolimus, mycophenotale mofetil, and entecavir administered for half a year. This case was the first report of anti-CASPR2 encephalitis in post-organ transplantation patients. Together with the reports of other encephalitis cases in organ transplantation, it warns the possibility of developing immune-oriented encephalitis in patients undergoing immunosuppression, especially in combination with other treatments of immunomodulatory activity.

RESUMO

We propose a scheme for quantum geometric computation on a fiber-cavity-fiber system, in which two atoms are located in two single-mode cavities, respectively, connected with each other by optical fiber. This scheme not only has the feature of virtual excitation of photons in the cavity quantum electrodynamics (CQED) that can reduce the effect of decay effectively but also has the advantage of geometric phase to withstand noises due to its built-in noise-resilience feature and robust merit. Specifically, our proposal combined with optimized-control-technology (OCT) can reduce gate operation error by adjusting the time-dependent amplitude and phase of the resonant field which further enhances the robustness of the quantum operation. The robustness against decoherence is demonstrated numerically and the scheme may be applied in the remote quantum information processing tasks and quantum computation.

RESUMO

Importance: For patients with large vessel occlusion strokes, it is unknown whether endovascular treatment alone compared with intravenous thrombolysis plus endovascular treatment (standard treatment) can achieve similar functional outcomes. Objective: To investigate whether endovascular thrombectomy alone is noninferior to intravenous alteplase followed by endovascular thrombectomy for achieving functional independence at 90 days among patients with large vessel occlusion stroke. Design, Setting, and Participants: Multicenter, randomized, noninferiority trial conducted at 33 stroke centers in China. Patients (n = 234) were 18 years or older with proximal anterior circulation intracranial occlusion strokes within 4.5 hours from symptoms onset and eligible for intravenous thrombolysis. Enrollment took place from May 20, 2018, to May 2, 2020. Patients were enrolled and followed up for 90 days (final follow-up was July 22, 2020). Interventions: A total of 116 patients were randomized to the endovascular thrombectomy alone group and 118 patients to combined intravenous thrombolysis and endovascular thrombectomy group. Main Outcomes and Measures: The primary end point was the proportion of patients achieving functional independence at 90 days (defined as score 0-2 on the modified Rankin Scale; range, 0 [no symptoms] to 6 [death]). The noninferiority margin was -10%. Safety outcomes included the incidence of symptomatic intracerebral hemorrhage within 48 hours and 90-day mortality. Results: The trial was stopped early because of efficacy when 234 of a planned 970 patients had undergone randomization. All 234 patients who were randomized (mean age, 68 years; 102 women [43.6%]) completed the trial. At the 90-day follow-up, 63 patients (54.3%) in the endovascular thrombectomy alone group vs 55 (46.6%) in the combined treatment group achieved functional independence at the 90-day follow-up (difference, 7.7%, 1-sided 97.5% CI, -5.1% to ∞)P for noninferiority = .003). No significant between-group differences were detected in symptomatic intracerebral hemorrhage (6.1% vs 6.8%; difference, -0.8%; 95% CI, -7.1% to 5.6%) and 90-day mortality (17.2% vs 17.8%; difference, -0.5%; 95% CI, -10.3% to 9.2%). Conclusions and Relevance: Among patients with ischemic stroke due to proximal anterior circulation occlusion within 4.5 hours from onset, endovascular treatment alone, compared with intravenous alteplase plus endovascular treatment, met the prespecified statistical threshold for noninferiority for the outcome of 90-day functional independence. These findings should be interpreted in the context of the clinical acceptability of the selected noninferiority threshold. Trial Registration: Chinese Clinical Trial Registry: ChiCTR-IOR-17013568.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: This study aimed to investigate the current condition of mortality-specific comorbidity among hospitalized patients with ischemic stroke. METHODS: Five-year data of inpatients with ischemic stroke (IS) were extracted from the hospital medical database. A retrospective review of eighteen mortality-specific comorbidities in extensively validated Charlson Comorbidity Index (CCI) was carried out for each patient. In addition, the distribution of the CCI-based prognostic score was calculated. RESULTS: A total of 10 331 (male 57.6%) cases with IS were recruited in the present study. The most prevalent mortality-specific comorbidities from high to low were as follows: peripheral vascular disease (35.1%), diabetes uncomplicated (25.2%),mild liver disease (18.3%), chronic pulmonary disease (14.7%), congestive heart failure (10.8%), atrial fibrillation or flutter (10.3%), diabetes complicated (9.1%), moderate or severe renal disease (7.5%), and dementia (7.1%). High prevalence of comorbidities in the elderly was also noted (31.1% patients with score ≥3). Spearman correlation analysis with a rho of 0.25 (P < 0.001) showed a mild correlation between the age- and the CCI-based prognostic score. CONCLUSION: High prevalence of peripheral vascular disease, diabetes, liver disease, chronic pulmonary disease, congestive heart failure, atrial fibrillation, or flutter as major contributors to mortality was presented in in-hospital patients with IS in our area. One-third of old patients with IS expose high mortality risk with the CCI score ≥3. Early prevention and management of the potential comorbidities are necessary to reduce the mortality.

RESUMO

This pilot study designed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of NAD+ ADP-ribosyl transferase 1 (NART) agonist in comparison with Donepezil (DNP) in elderly Chinese patients with Alzheimer disease (AD). In the present clinical trial, Chinese elderly patients aged >65 years with a confirmed diagnosis of AD were enrolled. The patients received NART agonist (test, DAG-structured PKC blockers (GF109203X)) or DNP 10mg daily (reference) for 6 months. The efficacy and safety data were collected from 120 patients (60 patients in each group) every 3 weeks until 6 months. The primary endpoints were to assess the change in cognitive score from baseline in both the treatment group. The result of the present study showed that the patients treated with DNP and NART agonist have similar efficacy and safety profile. Considering the clinical benefit, improvement in sign and symptoms of was numerically greater in DNP-treated patients as compared to NART agonist. However, a statistical difference in terms of clinical benefit was similar between both the treatment groups. Overall, both the study drugs were found comparable in relieving the symptoms of AD. This indicates that NART is a potential target for the treatment of AD in China. The results of the present study may help to design a large clinical trial to evaluate the efficacy and safety of NART agonist in comparison with DNP in AD patients.

RESUMO

The aim of this study was to investigate the structural and functional connectivity (FC) of juvenile myoclonic epilepsy (JME) using resting state functional magnetic resonance imaging (rs-fMRI). High-resolution T1-weighted magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and rs-fMRI data were collected in 25 patients with JME and in 24 control subjects. A FC analysis was subsequently performed, with seeding at the regions that demonstrated between-group differences in gray matter volume (GMV). Then, the observed structural and FCs were associated with the clinical manifestations. The decreased GMV regions were found in the bilateral anterior cerebellum, the right orbital superior frontal gyrus, the left middle temporal gyrus, the left putamen, the right hippocampus, the bilateral caudate, and the right thalamus. The changed FCs were mainly observed in the motor-related areas and the cognitive-related areas. The significant findings of this study revealed an important role for the cerebellum in motor control and cognitive regulation in JME patients, which also have an effect on the activity of the occipital lobe. In addition, the changed FCs were related to the clinical features of JME patients. The current observations may contribute to the understanding of the pathogenesis of JME.

RESUMO

BACKGROUNDS AND PURPOSE: This study was aimed at investigating the outcomes and predictors for the poor functional outcome after endovascular treatment (EVT) in a large, mostly Asian population. METHODS: Between January 2014 and June 2016, acute stroke patients with anterior circulation occlusion and EVT were retrospectively enrolled from 21 stroke centers in China. The main outcomes were modified Rankin Scale (0-2 as functional independence, 3-6 as poor) at 90 days, symptomatic intracranial hemorrhage (sICH) at 72 h, and death at 90 days. Logistic regression was used to identify predictors for poor functional outcome at 90 days. RESULTS: Of the 698 patients, 304 (43.6%) patients had functional independence at 90 days. The sICH rate was 15.5% (108/698) and mortality rate at 90 days was 25.4% (177/698). Age (OR 1.04, 95% CI 1.02-1.07), National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale score at admission (11-20 vs. ≤10, OR 2.38, 95% CI 1.23-4.59; ≥21 vs. ≤10, OR 3.66, 95% CI 1.72-7.80), baseline glucose level (OR 1.09, 95% CI 1.01-1.18), onset to groin puncture >6 h (OR 1.88, 95% CI 1.06-3.31), sICH (OR 15.49, 95% CI 5.16-46.43), and pneumonia (OR 3.15, 95% CI 1.86-5.32) were independent predictors of poor functional outcomes, while good recanalization (OR 0.26, 95% CI 0.13-0.54), preoperative Alberta Stroke Program Early CT Score 8-10 (OR 0.48, 95% CI 0.28-0.83), and good collateral flow (OR 0.50, 95% CI 0.32-0.79) were protective factors. CONCLUSIONS: This study provides evidence in real world to support the performance of EVT in acute anterior circulation stroke patients in Chinese population. Patients with small infarct core, successful recanalization, good collateral status, and short treatment delay without sICH or pneumonia may benefit from EVT.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Many studies have revealed apolipoproteins are risk factors for ischemic stroke, but the influence of apolipoproteins on onset age of first-ever atherosclerotic stroke has not been well investigated. METHODS: We recruited 357 qualified participants from consecutive patients with acute ischemic stroke who came to the stroke registry center in Sichuan Provincial People's Hospital, Chengdu, China. Patients were stratified into tertiles according to the distributions of apoB levels for large artery atherosclerosis (LAA) and small artery atherosclerosis (SAA) groups. The onset age of stroke was analyzed tripartitely in terms of early-onset group, the middling-onset group and the late-onset group. Multinomial logistical regression was used to analyze the associations between the two. RESULTS: The risk of early-onset stroke increased monotonically with higher apoB levels (the second tertile, adjusted OR = 2.61, 95% CI 1.18-5.79 (p = 0.018); the third tertile, adjusted OR = 19.52, 95% CI 5.93-64.31 (p < 0.001)), and patients with the highest tertile of apoB levels had a 9.20 times (95% CI, 2.97-28.53, p < 0.001) increased risk of middling-onset stroke in reference to late onset of stroke. CONCLUSIONS: The present study suggests the higher the apolipoprotein B levels are, the earlier an atherosclerotic stroke might occur in a Chinese population.

RESUMO

Cysteine (Cys) plays important roles in many physiological processes of eukaryotic cells and its detection in cells is of fundamental significance. However, glutathione (GSH), homocysteine, N-acetyl-L-cysteine and other thiols greatly hamper the detection of Cys. In particular, GSH strongly interferes with the detection of cellular Cys (30200 µM) due to its high intracellular concentration (110 mM). In this work, an offon fluorescent probe (HOTA) for the detection of Cys is presented. This probe possesses both excellent sensitivity and satisfactory selectivity for cellular Cys detection: with the addition of 200 µM Cys, the fluorescence intensity of the probe (10 µM) enhanced 117-fold and the detection limit was calculated to be 13.47 µM, which is lower than the cellular Cys concentration; the probe also selectively detected 30200 µM cysteine over 110 mM glutathione. Consequently, cell imaging experiments were performed with probe HOTA. Furthermore, the results of the thiol-blocking and GSH synthesis inhibiting experiments confirmed that the intracellular emission mainly originates from the interaction between Cys and HOTA.

RESUMO

The iron and steel-making industries have garnered significant attention in research related to low-carbon transitions and the reuse of steel slag. This industry is known for its high carbon emissions and the substantial amount of steel slag it generates. To address these challenges, a waste heat recovery process route has been developed for molten steel slag, which integrates CO2 capture and fixation as well as efficient utilization of steel slag. This process involves the use of lime kiln flue gas from the steel plant as the gas quenching agent, thereby mitigating carbon emissions and facilitating carbonation conversion of steel slag while simultaneously recovering waste heat. The established carbonation model of steel slag reveals that the insufficient diffusion of CO2 gas molecules within the product layer is the underlying mechanism hindering the carbonation performance of steel slag. This finding forms the basis for enhancing the carbonation performance of steel slag. The results of Aspen Plus simulation indicate that 1 t of steel slag (with a carbonation conversion rate of 15.169 %) can fix 55.19 kg of CO2, process 6.08 kmol of flue gas (with a carbon capture rate of 92.733 %), and recover 2.04 GJ of heat, 0.43 GJ of exergy, and 0.68 MWh of operating cost. These findings contribute to the development of sustainable and efficient solutions for steel slag management, with potential applications in the steel production industry and other relevant fields.

RESUMO

Aim: To explore the association between the neutrophil-to-platelet ratio (NPR) and futile recanalization (FR) in patients with acute ischemic stroke due to large vascular occlusions after endovascular therapy (EVT). Methods: FR after EVT was defined as a poor 90-day prognosis (modified Rankin scale [mRS] score ≥3) despite successful reperfusion (modified thrombolysis in cerebral infarction grade 2b-3). Patients were divided into high NPR (>35; n = 115) and low NPR (≤35; n = 81) groups. Results: The FR rate was significantly higher in the high NPR group than low NPR group (81.74 vs 55.56%; p = 0.000). NPR was independently associated with FR (odds ratio: 2.107; 95% CI: 1.017-4.364; p = 0.045). Conclusion: High NPR was associated with the risk of FR in patients with acute ischemic stroke due to large vascular occlusions.

RESUMO

A novel one- and two-photon fluorescent probe CB1 has been developed for discriminating Cys and Hcy in a successive manner with high selectivity. The discrete time-dependent fluorescent responses enable us to sequentially detect Cys and Hcy in different time windows. Two-step reaction and kinetic modes were used to explain the sensing mechanism. As a promising biosensor for cell imaging, CB1 has been confirmed to exhibit membrane permeability to intact cells, low cytotoxicity to viable cells and photostability to ultraviolet light excitation. Furthermore, the results from the control assay have shown that the one- and two-photon fluorescence of CB1 within cells is associated with intracellular mercapto biomolecules but yet there is little interference with physiological pH value, viscosity and common bioanalytes. Finally one- and two-photon fluorescent images of CB1 within living SiHa cells have been presented.

RESUMO

Selective recovery of valuable metals (Cu(2+), Co(2+) and Li(+)) from leachate of spent lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries was investigated in acidic chloride media using solvent impregnated resins (SIRs). An SIR containing bis(2-ethylhexyl) phosphoric acid (D2EHPA) had high selectivity for Fe(3+) and Al(3+), with an order of selectivity Fe(3+) > Al(3+) > Cu(2+) > Co(2+). Fe(3+) and Al(3+) could be removed from synthetic leachate by precipitation, followed by column adsorption with the SIR containing D2EHPA. The synthetic leachate was then applied to chromatography for selective recovery of Cu(2+), Co(2+) and Li(+). The solution was first fed upward to a column packed with an SIR containing 2-ethylhexylphosphonic acid mono-2-ethylhexyl ester (PC-88A) for selective separation of Cu(2+), followed by upward feed to another column packed with an SIR comprising PC-88A and bis(2,4,4-trimethylpentyl) phosphinic acid (Cyanex 272) for selective recovery of Co(2+). Finally, a column packed with a synergistic SIR containing both 1-phenyl-1,3-tetradecanedione (C11phbetaDK) and tri-n-octylphosphine oxide (TOPO) was used for selective recovery of Li(+). A process flowsheet is proposed for selective recovery of Cu(2+), Co(2+) and Li(+) using several SIRs. This process was found to be simple and efficient for selective recovery of valuable metals from leachate of spent Li-ion batteries. Pure copper, cobalt and lithium products were obtained, with high elution yields.

RESUMO

Polyisocyanate and caprolactone were used to chemically functionalize nanocellulose (CNF). Composites of CNF, caprolactone-modified nanocellulose (CNF-CL) and polyisocyanate-modified nanocellulose (CNF-JQ)/MC nylon were fabricated by anionic ring-opening polymerization. The effects of the crystal structure, crystal morphology and crystallization process of MC nylon composites have been characterized by wide-angle X-ray diffraction (WAXD), polarized optical microscopy(POM) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC). Isothermal crystallization kinetics were analyzed using the Avrami equation, and the crystallization rate, half-time, and Avrami exponent were calculated. The results show that the nucleation effects of CNF-JQ/MC nylon composites is increased with the CNF-JQ increase, and it is best compared with MC nylon, CNF/MC nylon and CNF-CL/MC nylon composites, so CNF-JQ can play the role of effective nucleating agent in MC nylon. We also discussed the non-isothermal crystallization of the composites. Analysis of the Jeziorny and Mo model demonstrates that the Zc values of CNF, CNF-CL, CNF-JQ/MC nylon composites increase, and the F(T) values decrease in order. This indicates that CNF-JQ can better promote the crystallization rate of non-isothermal crystallization of MC nylon. The results of this work demonstrate that CNF-JQ can be an effective nucleation agent and increase the crystallization rate of MC nylon compared with CNF-CL. The activation energy of the composites was studied using the kissing method, and the results showed that CNF-CL decreased the activation energy of MC nylon, and CNF and CNF-JQ increased the activation energy of MC nylon.

RESUMO

In this paper, the effects of compressive pre-deformation and successive pre-artificial aging on the compressive creep aging behavior and microstructure evolution of the Al-Cu-Li alloy have been studied. Severe hot deformation mainly occurs near the grain boundaries during the compressive creep initially, which steadily extends to the grain interior. After that, the T1 phases will obtain a low radius-thickness ratio. The secondary T1 phases in pre-deformed samples usually only nucleate on dislocation loops or Shockley incomplete dislocations induced by movable dislocations during creep, which are especially prevalent in low plastic pre-deformation. For all pre-deformed and pre-aged samples, two precipitation situations exist. When pre-deformation is low (3% and 6%), solute atoms (Cu and Li) can be consumed prematurely during pre-aging at 200 °C, with dispersed coherent Li-rich clusters in the matrix. Then, the pre-aged samples with low pre-deformation no longer have the ability to form secondary T1 phases in large quantities during subsequent creep. When dislocation entangles seriously to some extent, a large quantity of stacking faults, together with a "Suzuki atmosphere" containing Cu and Li, can provide the nucleation sites for the secondary T1 phase, even when pre-aged at 200 °C. The sample, pre-deformed by 9% and pre-aged at 200 °C, displays excellent dimensional stability during compressive creep because of the mutual reinforcement of entangled dislocations and pre-formed secondary T1 phases. In order to decrease the total creep strain, increasing the pre-deformation level is more effective than pre-aging.
