RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: The aim: The aim of the study was to study drug consumption in pharmacotherapy of arterial hypertension in a hospital setting. PATIENTS AND METHODS: Materials and methods: In the course of work medical cards of patients of the Kyiv regional Cardiac Dispensary in the conditions of inpatient treatment were used. Methods such as: questionnaire, pharmacoeconomic, expert assessments were used. RESULTS: Results: One of the main issues of drug supply for the population, in particular for patients with arterial hypertension, is the study of the demand and consumption of drugs. The drugs used to treat hypertension belong to different pharmacotherapeutic groups and are used in the treatment of a number of other diseases. Recent years of development of the domestic pharmaceutical market are characterized by an increase in the number of these drugs. CONCLUSION: Conclusions: One of the main issues of drug supply for the population, in particular for patients with arterial hypertension, is the study of the demand and consumption of drugs. As a result of the study, an analysis of the range of drugs for the treatment of hypertension, a comparative study of the market of offers and prices for the treatment of hypertension was carried out.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: The aim: Of the work is to investigate and prove the effectiveness of medicinal products of plant origin for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases. PATIENTS AND METHODS: Materials and methods: Pharmacoeconomic, social, medical demographic and statistical studies were studied. The study involved cardiologists, pharmacists, consumers of pharmacies and patients of cardiology departments. RESULTS: Results: Forecasting the need for cardiac medicines in general, and in medicinal products of plant origin (MP PO), in particular, is increasing as the population, life expectancy, under the influence of socio-demographic factors, and, most importantly, the increase in the number of elderly people. When solving problems facing public health in the field of drug provision of the population, a regular analysis of the pharmaceutical market and a forecast of the need for medicines in the context of the pharmacotherapeutic group that is being studied are necessary. An important stage in the choice of forecasting methods is the possibility of attracting the required number of indicators, which is a characteristic of the normative method, whose accessibility and simplicity make it possible to use it by specialists who do not have special mathematical training at the level of medical and pharmaceutical organizations. CONCLUSION: Conclusions: Prevention of diseases should be based on the implementation of government programs for prevention and promotion of health. This will improve and actively use methods of early detection of social and economic factors, which is a threat of development of diseases of the cardiovascular system.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: Introduction: In recent years, a fundamentally new approach to the treatment of cardiopathology is actively developing, so it consists of the combined use of traditional drugs and medicinal products of plant origin (MP PO), because herbal remedies are mostly compatible with each other and with synthetic medicines, which leads to synergy of their action. The aim of this work is to briefly consider, on specific examples, the main methods of treating cardiovascular diseases with medicinal plants. PATIENTS AND METHODS: Materials and methods: Situational analysis of the target segment of finished medicinal products (MP) of plant origin for 2012-2017 was held and it indicates a significant potential for using them as a drug therapy or as a preventive measure in many diseases. RESULTS: Review and Conclusions: Some plants, used to treat cardiovascular diseases, have been considered. The list of plants, that were given, reflects the main approaches to phytotherapy of diseases of the cardiovascular system: this is the use of cardiac glycosides - the first highly effective drugs for the treatment of heart failure, P-active compounds, strengthen the blood vessels and regulate metabolism in the body, a variety of alkaloids, including stimulating the activity of the body, which is important, for example, in hypotension. A number of medicinal plants are representatives of the ruderal flora (motherwort). It causes widespread use of plants in folk medicine. Individual plants are introduced into the culture to produce medicinal products based on them (Valerian, Digitalis, Periwinkle, Astragalus).

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: Introduction: Medicinal plants are an effective means of prevention of many cardiovascular diseases in high-risk groups. Also, they are often used as a means of adjuvant therapy. Centuries of experience in the use of medicinal plants in folk medicine is the result of their relatively high efficiency and their wide distribution in natural ecosystems, and sometimes close to human habitation. The aim of this work is to study the assortment of herbal medicinal products and to consider examples of the basic methods of treatment of cardiovascular diseases with medicinal plants. PATIENTS AND METHODS: Materials and methods: In the work the marketing method, monitoring methods, logical generalization, grouping and graphic method of research were used. A comparative analysis of the assortment and economic availability of cardiological drugs of plant origin, presented on the pharmaceutical market of Ukraine. RESULTS: Review: As the study showed, in the period under review the total assortment of the Ukrainian phytopreparation market had a pain of two thousand titles, namely: 2280, which was about 17%, that is almost a fifth of the officially published figure for all drugs registered for period 2001-2016 years (13,5 thousand). This is a rather high indicator, indicating the importance of drugs with medicinal plant raw materials (MP RM) for the treatment and prevention of various diseases. Among the medicinal forms of plant almost half (41,8%) falls on the share of liquid forms: solutions for internal or external use, for injections, drops, syrups, etc., 31,6% are solid dosage forms: capsules, powders, etc. More than 13% of the assortment for soft forms: ointments, liniments, suppositories, etc. Among medicines there are also medicinal herbal remedies in the form of collections, briquettes, tea, whose specific gravity is 9,1%. Other dosage forms, which account for only 3,7%, represented by aerosols (15 items), concentrates, cubes. CONCLUSION: Conclusions: The list of plants that have been shown to reflect the main approaches to the herbal medicine of diseases of the cardiovascular system: it is the use of cardiac glycosides the first high-performance drugs to treat heart failure; the P-active compounds that strengthen blood vessels and regulate the body's metabolism; a variety of alkaloids, including stimulating activity of the organism, which is important, such as hypotension. The analysis of the assortment of phytopreparations on the Ukrainian market showed that the assortment of medicines is characterized as a dynamic system that is constantly updated for a set of domestic drugs or registration for the first time in Ukraine of herbal preparations that have won consumer preferences abroad.

RESUMO

The purpose of this article is to investigate the common facilitators and barriers associated with the implementation of hospital-based health technology assessment (HB-HTA) across diverse hospital settings in seven countries. Through a two-round Delphi study, insights were gathered from a panel of 15 HTA specialists from France, Hungary, Italy, Kazakhstan, Poland, Switzerland, and Ukraine. Experts initially conducted a comprehensive review of the HB-HTA implementation in their respective countries, identifying the barriers and facilitators through descriptive analysis. Subsequently, panel experts ranked these identified barriers and facilitators on a seven-point Likert scale. A median agreement score ≥ 6 and interquartile range (IQR) ≤ 1 was accepted as reaching a consensus. Out of the 12 statements categorized as external and internal barriers and facilitators, the expert panel reached consensus on six statements (two barriers and four facilitators). The external barrier, which achieved consensus, was the lack of the formal recognition of the role of HB-HTA in national or regional legislations. The internal barrier reaching consensus was the limited availability of human resources dedicated to HB-HTA. This qualitative study indicates that HB-HTA still has progress to make before being formally accepted and integrated across most countries, although by building on the facilitating factors we identified there may be an opportunity for the implementation of internationally developed strategies to strengthen HB-HTA practices.
