RESUMO

The artificial synapse array with an electrolyte-gated transistor (EGT) as an array unit presents considerable potential for neuromorphic computation. However, the integration of EGTs faces the drawback of the conflict between the polymer electrolytes and photo-lithography. This study presents a scheme based on a lateral-gate structure to realize high-density integration of EGTs and proposes the integration of 100 × 100 EGTs into a 2.5 × 2.5 cm2 glass, with a unit density of up to 1600 devices cm-2 . Furthermore, an electrolyte framework is developed to enhance the array performance, with ionic conductivity of up to 2.87 × 10-3  S cm-1 owing to the porosity of zeolitic imidazolate frameworks-67. The artificial synapse array realizes image processing functions, and exhibits high performance and homogeneity. The handwriting recognition accuracy of a representative device reaches 92.80%, with the standard deviation of all the devices being limited to 9.69%. The integrated array and its high performance demonstrate the feasibility of the scheme and provide a solid reference for the integration of EGTs.

RESUMO

MADS-box is a key transcription factor regulating the transition to flowering and flower development. Lagerstroemia indica 'Xiang Yun' is a new cultivar of crape myrtle characterized by its non-fruiting nature. To study the molecular mechanism underlying the non-fruiting characteristics of 'Xiang Yun', 82 MADS-box genes were identified from the genome of L. indica. The physicochemical properties of these genes were examined using bioinformatics methods, and their expression as well as endogenous hormone levels at various stages of flower development were analyzed. The results showed that LiMADS genes were primarily classified into two types: type I and type II, with the majority being type II that contained an abundance of cis-acting elements in their promoters. By screening nine core proteins by predicted protein interactions and performing qRT-PCR analysis as well as in combination with transcriptome data, we found that the expression levels of most MADS genes involved in flower development were significantly lower in 'Xiang Yun' than in the wild type 'Hong Ye'. Hormonal analysis indicated that 'Xiang Yun' had higher levels of iP, IPR, TZR, and zeatin during its early stages of flower development than 'Hong Ye', whereas the MeJA content was substantially lower at the late stage of flower development of 'Hong Ye'. Finally, correlation analysis showed that JA, IAA, SA, and TZR were positively correlated with the expression levels of most type II genes. Based on these analyses, a working model for the non-fruiting 'Xiang Yun' was proposed. During the course of flower development, plant hormone response pathways may affect the expression of MADS genes, resulting in their low expression in flower development, which led to the abnormal development of the stamen and embryo sac and ultimately affected the fruiting process of 'Xiang Yun'.

RESUMO

The perceptual learning function of a simulating human body is very important for constructing a neural computing system and a brainlike computer in the future. The sense of smell is an important part of the human sensory nervous system. However, current gas sensors simply convert gas concentrations into electrical signals and do not have the same learning and memory function as synapses. To solve this problem, we propose a new sensing idea to induce and activate the synaptic properties of transistors by adjusting the oxygen vacancy in the active layer. This sensor combines gas detection with synaptic memory and learning and overcomes the disadvantage of the separation of synaptic transistors and sensors, thus greatly reducing the cost of production. This work combines the detection of N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF) gas with the synaptic mechanism of human olfactory nerves. We successfully fabricated an InGdO nanofiber field-effect transistor by electrostatic spinning and simulated the response of human olfactory synapses to target gas by regulating the oxygen vacancy of the InGdO nanofiber. The synaptic transistor response under different concentrations of unmodulated pulses is tested, and the pavlovian conditioned reflex experiment is simulated successfully. This work provides a new idea of a gas sensor device, which is very important for the development of high-performance gas sensors and bionic electronic devices in the future.

RESUMO

Energy-containing materials have aroused people's widespread concern because of its admirable performance in recent years. In this paper, the electronic structure, vibrational, and thermodynamic properties of 1,3-diamino-2,4,6-trinitrobenzene (DATB) are systematically investigated by adopting the first-principle calculations. We find that lattice parameters are in excellent agreement with the previous calculated and experimental values. The vibration spectra are described in detail and the peaks in the Raman and infrared spectra are assigned to different vibration modes. Phonon dispersion curves indicate that the DATB is dynamically stable. According to the vibrational properties, the thermodynamic functions such as enthalpy (H), constant volume heat capacity (CV), Helmholtz free energy (F), Debye temperature (Θ), and entropy (S) are analyzed. No corresponding experimental values have been found so far, and therefore, knowledge of these properties will provide a reference and guidance for the follow-up research.
