RESUMO

Human activities continuously impact water balances and cycling in watersheds, making it essential to accurately identify the responses of runoff to dynamic changes in land use types. Although machine learning models demonstrate promise in capturing the intricate interplay between hydrological factors, their "black box" nature makes it challenging to identify the dynamic drivers of runoff. To overcome this challenge, we employed an interpretable machine learning method to inversely deduce the dynamic determinants within hydrological processes. In this study, we analyzed land use changes in the Ningxia section of the middle Yellow River across four periods, laying the foundation for revealing how these changes affect runoff. The sub-watershed attributes and meteorological characteristics generated by the Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) model were used as input variables of the Extreme Gradient Boosting (XGBoost) model to simulate substantial sub-watershed rainfall runoff in the region. The XGBoost was interpreted using the SHapley Additive exPlanations (SHAP) to identify the dynamic responses of runoff to the land use changes over different periods. The results revealed increasingly frequent interchanges between the land use types in the study area. The XGBoost effectively captured the characteristics of the hydrological processes in the SWAT-derived sub-watersheds. The SHAP analysis results demonstrated that the promoting effect of agricultural land (AGRL) on runoff gradually weakens, while forests (FRST) continuously strengthen their restraining effect on runoff. Relevant land use policies provide empirical support for these findings. Furthermore, the interaction between meteorological variables and land use impacts the runoff generation mechanism and exhibits a threshold effect, with the thresholds for relative humidity (RH), maximum temperature (MaxT), and minimum temperature (MinT) determined to be 0.8, 25 °C, and 15 °C, respectively. This reverse deduction method can reveal hydrological patterns and the mechanisms of interaction between variables, helping to effectively addressing constantly changing human activities and meteorological conditions.

RESUMO

Histone deacetylases 3 (HDAC3) is a member of the histone deacetylases family. This family is associated with cellular physiological function, such as signal transduction, cell cycle, proliferation, apoptosis, and cardiac development. HDAC3 plays an important role in the progression of malignant tumors, especially in terms of proliferation, apoptosis, metastasis, angiogenesis, and anticancer drug resistance. This review discusses the basic elements of HDAC3 and the relationship between HDAC3 and malignant tumors.

RESUMO

Prostate-specific antigen (PSA) test is widely used to diagnose early prostate cancer (PCa). Its low sensitivity, especially in the gray zone, usually incurs overtreatment or missed diagnosis. As an emerging tumor marker, exosomes have attracted great interest in non-invasive diagnosis of PCa. However, the quick direct detection of exosomes in serum is still a big challenge for convenient screening of early PCa due to their high-degree heterogeneity and complexity. Here we develop the label-free biosensors based on wafer-scale plasmonic metasurfaces, and establish a flexible spectral methodology of exosomes profiling, which facilitates their identification and quantification in serum. We combine the metasurfaces functionalized by anti-PSA and anti-CD63, respectively, and build a portable immunoassay system to detect serum PSA and exosomes simultaneously within 20 min. Our scheme can discriminate early PCa from benign prostatic hyperplasia with a diagnostic sensitivity of 92.3%, which is much higher that of 58.3% for conventional PSA tests. The receiver operating characteristic analysis in clinical trials demonstrates significant PCa distinguishing capability with an area under the curve up to 99.4%. Our work provides a rapid and powerful approach for precise diagnosis of early PCa, and will inspire more exosomes metasensing studies for other early cancer screening.

RESUMO

A ring-opening/alkyne-carbonyl metathesis sequence of alkyne-tethered cyclobutanones catalyzed by AgSbF6 is realized for the first time to furnish multisubstituted naphthyl ketones under mild conditions. A range of substrates decorated with various substituents at different positions were all well accommodated. Preliminary mechanistic studies show that silver salt acted as a Lewis acid to facilitate both C-C cleavage of the cyclobutanone moiety and the subsequent metathesis between C═O and C≡C bonds.
