RESUMO

The surface morphology of titanium metal is an important factor affecting its hydrophilicity and biocompatibility, and exploring the surface treatment strategy of titanium metal is an important way to improve its biocompatibility . In this study , titanium (TA4) was firstly treated by large particle sand blasting and acid etching (SLA) technology, and then the obtained SLA-TA4 was treated by single surface treatments such as alkali-heat, ultraviolet light and plasma bombardment. According to the experimental results, alkali-heat treatment is the best treatment method to improve and maintain surface hydrophilicity of titanium. Then, the nanowire network morphology of titanium surface and its biological property, formed by further surface treatments on the basis of alkali-heat treatment, were investigated. Through the cell adhesion experiment of mouse embryonic osteoblast cells (MC3T3-E1), the ability of titanium material to support cell adhesion and cell spreading was investigated after different surface treatments. The mechanism of biological activity difference of titanium surface formed by different surface treatments was investigated according to the contact angle, pit depth and roughness of the titanium sheet surface. The results showed that the SLA-TA4 titanium sheet after a treatment of alkali heat for 10 h and ultraviolet irradiation for 1 h has the best biological activity and stability. From the perspective of improving surface bioactivity of medical devices, this study has important reference value for relevant researches on surface treatment of titanium implantable medical devices.

RESUMO

Using psychological network analysis, this study explored the heterogeneity of the network structure between extracurricular time-use and delinquency using a nationally representative longitudinal survey of at-school students in China (N = 10,279, 47.3% female, average age 13.6, 91.2% Han ethnicity). The results are threefold: First, time stimulation of activities occurs on weekdays, while time displacement and stimulation occur on weekends. Second, delinquent behaviors are positively correlated, forming a problem behavior syndrome. Smoking or drinking is the central delinquent behavior. Third, negative consequences of specific time-use behaviors are more likely to occur on weekends than on weekdays, and time-use behavior may function differently on weekdays versus weekends. Among them, going to coffeenets or game-centers serves as the bridge with the highest potential of triggering delinquency.

RESUMO

The ability of ankle rehabilitation robots to accurately mimicking the actual human ankle motion is an important judgment basis for robot-assisted rehabilitation training. This paper proposes an evaluation index and mechanism parameter optimization method based on ankle-foot motion trajectory by exploring the human ankle-foot motion principle. First, the ankle UR equivalent model and a 3-degree-of-freedom (DOF) parallel ankle rehabilitation robot are described. Second, the ankle-foot motion data are measured by the body surface marker method, which proved the coupling of ankle-foot motion. Then, a new evaluation index, the ankle-foot motion comfort zone, is proposed, which is essentially the superimposed ankle-foot motion trajectory measured about 3-5 mm wide. Third, a mechanism parameter optimization method, is proposed in terms of the ankle-foot motion comfort zone as the evaluation index, which is applied to the 3-DOF parallel ankle rehabilitation robot, and the optimization results proved the feasibility of the method. Finally, the optimized rehabilitation robot is fitted with different ankle motions, and a prototype model is designed for kinematics simulation, which verifies the adaptability of the optimization method. This study provides a theoretical basis for the configuration design of ankle rehabilitation robots and provides a new direction for the optimization of the mechanism parameters.

RESUMO

This paper focuses on moving-target detection and tracking in a three-dimensional (3D) space, and proposes a visual target tracking system only using a two-dimensional (2D) camera. To quickly detect moving targets, an improved optical flow method with detailed modifications in the pyramid, warping, and cost volume network (PWC-Net) is applied. Meanwhile, a clustering algorithm is used to accurately extract the moving target from a noisy background. Then, the target position is estimated using a proposed geometrical pinhole imaging algorithm and cubature Kalman filter (CKF). Specifically, the camera's installation position and inner parameters are applied to calculate the azimuth, elevation angles, and depth of the target while only using 2D measurements. The proposed geometrical solution has a simple structure and fast computational speed. Different simulations and experiments verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.

RESUMO

In this study, a novel mitovirus was isolated from the fungus Fusarium equiseti causing potato dry rot and tentatively designated as "Fusarium equiseti mitovirus 1" (FeMV1). The full-length genome sequence of FeMV1 consists of 2,459 nucleotides with a predicted A + U content of 69.5%. Using the mold mitochondrial genetic code, an open reading frame (ORF) of 725 amino acids (aa) was predicted to encode an RNA-dependent RNA polymerase (RdRp). The RdRp protein contains six conserved motifs, with the highly conserved GDD in motif IV, and the 5'-untranslated region (UTR) and 3'-UTR of FeMV1 have the potential to fold into stem-loop secondary structures and a panhandle structure, both of which are typical characteristics of members of the family Mitoviridae. Results of a BLASTp search showed that the RdRp aa sequence of FeMV1 shared the highest sequence similarity with that of Fusarium poae mitovirus 2 (FpMV2) (76.84% identity, E-value = 0.0). Phylogenetic analysis based on the complete aa sequence of RdRp further suggested that FeMV1 is a new member of the family Mitoviridae. This is the first report of the complete genome sequence analysis of a mitovirus associated with F. equiseti.

RESUMO

In the present study, a novel double-stranded RNA (dsRNA) mycovirus designated as "Alternaria tenuissima partitivirus 2" (AttPV2), was isolated from Alternaria tenuissima strain BJ-SY-1, a phytopathogenic fungus causing muskmelon leaf blight in Beijing municipality of China. The genome of AttPV2 comprises two dsRNA segments. The larger segment is 1829 bp in length and has a single open reading frame (ORF), potentially encoding a 65.8-kDa RNA-dependent RNA polymerase (RdRp), and the smaller segment is 1681 bp in length and also contains a single ORF, encoding a putative coat protein (CP) with a molecular mass of 56.0 kDa. BLASTp analysis revealed that the RdRp and CP encoded by the two ORFs of AttPV2 have the highest sequence identity, 85.9% and 75.0%, respectively, to their counterparts in Colletotrichum eremochloae partitivirus 1 (CePV1). Phylogenetic analysis based on RdRp sequences showed that AttPV2 clustered most closely with CePV1, a member of the proposed genus "Epsilonpartitivirus" in the family Partitiviridae. Hence, we propose that AttPV2 is a new epsilonpartitivirus from A. tenuissima. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first report of an epsilonpartitivirus infecting A. tenuissima.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: The existing studies show that circRNAs can be used as a biomarker of diseases and play a prominent role in the treatment and diagnosis of diseases. However, the relationships between the vast majority of circRNAs and diseases are still unclear, and more experiments are needed to study the mechanism of circRNAs. Nowadays, some scholars use the attributes between circRNAs and diseases to study and predict their associations. Nonetheless, most of the existing experimental methods use less information about the attributes of circRNAs, which has a certain impact on the accuracy of the final prediction results. On the other hand, some scholars also apply experimental methods to predict the associations between circRNAs and diseases. But such methods are usually expensive and time-consuming. Based on the above shortcomings, follow-up research is needed to propose a more efficient calculation-based method to predict the associations between circRNAs and diseases. RESULTS: In this study, a novel algorithm (method) is proposed, which is based on the Graph Convolutional Network (GCN) constructed with Random Walk with Restart (RWR) and Principal Component Analysis (PCA) to predict the associations between circRNAs and diseases (CRPGCN). In the construction of CRPGCN, the RWR algorithm is used to improve the similarity associations of the computed nodes with their neighbours. After that, the PCA method is used to dimensionality reduction and extract features, it makes the connection between circRNAs with higher similarity and diseases closer. Finally, The GCN algorithm is used to learn the features between circRNAs and diseases and calculate the final similarity scores, and the learning datas are constructed from the adjacency matrix, similarity matrix and feature matrix as a heterogeneous adjacency matrix and a heterogeneous feature matrix. CONCLUSIONS: After 2-fold cross-validation, 5-fold cross-validation and 10-fold cross-validation, the area under the ROC curve of the CRPGCN is 0.9490, 0.9720 and 0.9722, respectively. The CRPGCN method has a valuable effect in predict the associations between circRNAs and diseases.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: This is the first study to investigate the effect of parental psychological abuse on potential psychopathological symptoms in gender minority youth subgroups, including transgender women, transgender men, and gender queer individuals. METHODS: Data was analysed from the Chinese National Transgender Survey in 2017; the survey was distributed through community-based organizations to transgender adolescents and adults residing in China, with representation from all 32 provinces and autonomous regions. A total of 1293 youth that self-identified as transgender or gender queer completed the study. Measures covered psychopathological symptoms including depression, anxiety, risk of suicideand self-harm. Parental psychological abuse was assessed in terms of neglect and avoidance, force to change, and verbal insults. Both the edges and centralities were computed via network analysis, and the network properties were then compared among the three gender minority subgroups. In addition, linear regression was adopted to test the predictive ability of node centrality for low self-esteem. RESULTS: Descriptive analysis revealed that among the three subgroups, transgender women had more severe psychopathological symptoms and reported the most psychological abuse. Network analysis revealed that the risk of suicide and self-harm was directly connected with one type of parental psychological abuse ("neglect and avoidance"). Node centrality was significantly associated with the predicting value of the nodes on low self-esteem (r2 = 0.25, 0.17, 0.31) among all three gender minority subgroups. CONCLUSIONS: The distinctive core psychopathological symptoms, within the networks of the gender minority subgroups, revealed specific symptoms across each group. The significant association between node centrality and low self-esteem indicated the extent of parental psychological abuse. Parental psychological abuse directed towards gender minority youth should be recognized as a form of family cold violence. It is recommended that schools and local communities should support early intervention to improve psychological well-being.

RESUMO

Synthesizing plans for a deformable object to transit from initial observations to goal observations, both of which are represented by high-dimensional data (namely "raw" data), is challenging due to the difficulty of learning abstract state representations of raw data and transition models of continuous states and continuous actions. Even though there have been some approaches making remarkable progress regarding the planning problem, they often neglect actions between observations and are unable to generate action sequences from initial observations to goal observations. In this paper, we propose a novel algorithm framework, namely AGN. We first learn a state-abstractor model to abstract states from raw observations, a state-generator model to generate raw observations from states, a heuristic model to predict actions to be executed in current states, and a transition model to transform current states to next states after executing specific actions. After that, we directly generate plans for a deformable object by performing the four models. We evaluate our approach in continuous domains and show that our approach is effective with comparison to state-of-the-art algorithms.

RESUMO

Berry's bidimensional acculturation model categorizes acculturation status (integration, assimilation, separation, marginalization) by preference toward host and origin cultures. According to Berry's theory, different acculturation strategies yield different health outcomes, and age at migration moderates the relationship between acculturation and health outcome. Previous research has applied this model to understand acculturation's influence on international migrants' health outcomes, but rarely for internal migrants. This research examines these relationships using a national survey on Chinese internal migrants. Using propensity score weighting, the results align with previous findings that integration strategy-using migrants reported optimal health status, separation/assimilation strategy-using migrants reported suboptimal health, and marginalization strategy-using migrants reported the worst health, suggesting the model can explain health disparities among internal migrants. Moreover, older age at migration deteriorates health outcomes and moderates health disparities among migrants employing different acculturation strategies. However, age at migration's moderating effect is significant only among inter-provincial migrants. Embracing the host society inhibits health deterioration among inter-provincial migrants with older age at migration, whereas rejecting or embracing both societies facilitates health deterioration among intra-provincial migrants.

RESUMO

We show the properties and characterization of coherence witnesses. We show methods for constructing coherence witnesses for an arbitrary coherent state. We investigate the problem of finding common coherence witnesses for certain class of states. We show that finitely many different witnesses W1,W2,⋯,Wn can detect some common coherent states if and only if ∑i=1ntiWi is still a witnesses for any nonnegative numbers ti(i=1,2,⋯,n). We show coherent states play the role of high-level witnesses. Thus, the common state problem is changed into the question of when different high-level witnesses (coherent states) can detect the same coherence witnesses. Moreover, we show a coherent state and its robust state have no common coherence witness and give a general way to construct optimal coherence witnesses for any comparable states.

RESUMO

INTRODUCTION: Very few studies have explored the effect of exposure to disaster memorial reports in the media on long-term sleep quality during the recovery period and post-disaster era. This study investigated the relationship between exposure to memorial reports and adult survivors' long-term sleep quality 10 years after the 5.12 Wenchuan earthquake in 2008, and determined whether exposure to memorial reports are associated with poor sleep quality. METHOD: Using a cross-sectional methodology, we surveyed participants (N = 1000) recruited from six disaster-affected counties. We measured sleep quality using the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index questionnaire (PSQI). RESULTS: After controlling for the effects of demographic factors, socioeconomic status, and earthquake exposure factors, exposure to memorial reports and the PSQI global score had a strong inverted U-shaped relationship. Relationships among three sub-scores of PSQI (subjective sleep quality, sleep latency, daytime dysfunction) were also found to have similar relationships with memorial report exposure. That is, survivors who were exposed to low or high degrees of memorial reports had better sleep quality than those who were exposed to intermediate memorial reports. DISCUSSION: The curvilinear relationship between media exposure and sleep quality in the post-disaster era reveals that media exposure could be used to identify victims at risk of poor sleep quality. Clinicians and practitioners may consider adopting psychological intervention programs to enhance victims' psychological controllability to overcome mental disorders caused by media exposure.

RESUMO

We derive a state-dependent error-disturbance trade-off based on a statistical distance in the sequential measurements of a pair of noncommutative observables and experimentally verify the relation with a photonic qubit system. We anticipate that this Letter may further stimulate the study on the quantum uncertainty principle and related applications in quantum measurements.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: The eHealth Literacy Scale (eHEALS) is the most widely used instrument in health studies to measure individual's electronic health literacy. Nonetheless, despite the rapid development of the online medical industry and increased rural-urban disparities in China, very few studies have examined the characteristics of the eHEALS among Chinese rural people by using modern psychometric methods. This study evaluated the psychometric properties of eHEALS in a Chinese rural population by using both the classical test theory and item response theory methods. OBJECTIVE: This study aimed to develop a simplified Chinese version of the eHEALS (C-eHEALS) and evaluate its psychometric properties in a rural population. METHODS: A cross-sectional survey was conducted with 543 rural internet users in West China. The internal reliability was assessed using the Cronbach alpha coefficient. A one-factor structure of the C-eHEALS was obtained via principal component analysis, and fit indices for this structure were calculated using confirmatory factory analysis. Subsequently, the item discrimination, difficulty, and test information were estimated via the graded response model. Additionally, the criterion validity was confirmed through hypothesis testing. RESULTS: The C-eHEALS has good reliability. Both principal component analysis and confirmatory factory analysis showed that the scale has a one-factor structure. The graded response model revealed that all items of the C-eHEALS have response options that allow for differentiation between latent trait levels and the capture of substantial information regarding participants' ability. CONCLUSIONS: The findings indicate the high reliability and validity of the C-eHEALS and thus recommend its use for measuring eHealth literacy among the Chinese rural population.

RESUMO

Quantum coherence is an invaluable physical resource for various quantum technologies. As a bona fide measure in quantifying coherence, the robustness of coherence (ROC) is not only mathematically rigorous, but also physically meaningful. We experimentally demonstrate the witness-observable and operational feature of the ROC in a multiqubit nuclear magnetic resonance system. We realize witness measurements by detecting the populations of quantum systems in one trial. The approach may also apply to physical systems compatible with ensemble or nondemolition measurements. Moreover, we experimentally show that the ROC quantifies the advantage enabled by a quantum state in a phase discrimination task.

RESUMO

Incompatible observables can be approximated by compatible observables in joint measurement or measured sequentially, with constrained accuracy as implied by Heisenberg's original formulation of the uncertainty principle. Recently, Busch, Lahti, and Werner proposed inaccuracy trade-off relations based on statistical distances between probability distributions of measurement outcomes [P. Busch et al., Phys. Rev. Lett. 111, 160405 (2013); P. Busch et al., Phys. Rev. A 89, 012129 (2014)]. Here we reformulate their theoretical framework, derive an improved relation for qubit measurement, and perform an experimental test on a spin system. The relation reveals that the worst-case inaccuracy is tightly bounded from below by the incompatibility of target observables, and is verified by the experiment employing joint measurement in which two compatible observables designed to approximate two incompatible observables on one qubit are measured simultaneously.

RESUMO

Background: This study assesses the psychometric properties of the Chinese version of the Zimbardo Time Perspective Inventory (C-ZTPI-20) in an adolescent population. Methods: The investigation encompasses a sample of 2634 middle school students from China and aims to evaluate the instrument's reliability, structural validity, measurement invariance, criterion validity, and network structure attributes. Results: First, descriptive analysis revealed satisfactory reliabilities for four out of five C-ZTPI-20 dimensions, with Present Fatalistic (PF) exhibiting relatively low reliability. Moreover, Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) supported the 5-dimensional structure across all samples and sexes, albeit with a modest Tucker-Lewis Index (TLI) for girls. Furthermore, measurement invariance analysis underscores unbiased assessment across sexes. Sex differences emerge in the Present Hedonistic (PH) dimension, where boys showed higher scores. Furthermore, criteria validity analysis revealed that Past Positive (PP) and Future (F) were positively associated with extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, openness, grit, and mental health, while they were negatively associated with neuroticism. Past Negative (PN) and PF showed inverse trends, while PH perspective demonstrated complex, varied correlations with these psychological traits, underscoring the multifaceted nature of time perspectives. Finally, network analysis revealed positive inter-correlations within dimensions and significant edge differences between sexes, particularly in inter-dimension connections. Despite differing rankings, the most central and marginal items remained consistent between boys and girls in network models. Conclusion: These findings contribute to understanding the C-ZTPI-20's effectiveness in assessing adolescent time perspectives and inform interventions promoting psychological well-being and coping strategies.

RESUMO

Herein we report the first synthesis of a tetrabenzotetrathia[8]circulene by a "fold-in" type oxidative fusion reaction. Compared to the pristine tetrathia[8]circulene, the four-fold benzoannulation slightly weakened the antiaromatic character of the central COT ring. The tetrabenzotetrathia[8]circulene exhibited fluorescence at room temperature, and phosphorescence at 77 K with a phosphorescence quantum yield of 11.7%.

RESUMO

Substituting nitrogen with inert gases in an inert gas cycle engine can not only effectively improve engine efficiency but also eliminate NOX emissions in the combustion products. Owing to the low density of hydrogen, jet development is affected by buoyancy. This study explored the effects of different ambient gases, such as Ar, N2, and He, as well as buoyancy, on the hydrogen jet and mixing characteristics based on Schlieren. The results indicated that as the pressure ratio increases, the penetration length and volume of the hydrogen jet increase, whereas the dispersion angle and entrainment ratio decrease. The penetration capacity of the hydrogen jet is strongest in He, followed by N2, and weakest in Ar. Additionally, in He, the hydrogen jet exhibits the smallest dispersion angle, fastest jet volume growth, and largest entrainment ratio. The entrainment ratio of the H2 jet in He is 2.75-3.84 times that of N2 and 4.72-8.3 times that of Ar. In N2 and Ar, the penetration length of the inverted jet after 2.5 ms is approximately 2-4 mm longer than that of the upright jet, indicating that buoyancy has a certain influence on jet development.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Suicidality was very high among individuals who suffered from childhood trauma. The distribution of cumulative childhood trauma among youths remains unclear, as well as the specific effects of cumulative childhood trauma on suicidality. This study attempted to explore the distribution of cumulative childhood trauma and examine the specific effects of cumulative childhood trauma on suicidality. METHODS: A cross-sectional design was employed in this study, with 117,769 college students recruited from 63 universities in Jilin Province, China. All variables were measured by corresponding self-report questionnaires. The Venn diagram was used to represent the distribution of single and cumulative childhood trauma. ANOVA and chi-square tests were conducted to identify the high-risk suicide groups. Multiple linear regression analysis was performed to examine risk factors for suicidality for overlapping subtypes. RESULTS: 27,671 (23.5%) participants reported suffering from childhood trauma, of which 49.5% were male (Mage = 19.59, SD = 1.76). The "physical neglect" group accounted for the largest proportion (31.5%). Suicidality was the highest in the "overlap of childhood neglect, emotional abuse, and physical abuse" group (2.0%). Depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder were common risk factors for suicidality. LIMITATIONS: This study was limited by cross-sectional studies and self-report bias. CONCLUSIONS: The childhood trauma subtype group with the largest proportion was not necessarily the highest suicidality. Both the largest group and the highest-risk suicide group require special attention to their respective risk factors.
