RESUMO

This paper aims to explore the anti-inflammatory mechanism of Saracae Cortex by using network pharmacology and molecular docking methods and verify it through the inflammation model of zebrafish. The effective components, potential core targets, and signaling pathways of Saracae Cortex were obtained by using network pharmacology. A lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-induced inflammation model of zebrafish was established to evaluate the anti-inflammatory activity of aqueous extract and 70% ethanol extract of Saracae Cortex with cell apoptosis rate and reactive oxygen species(ROS) production rate as indicators. q PCR was performed to verify the main targets predicted by network pharmacology. The prediction found that there were 121 potential anti-inflammatory targets in Saracae Cortex. Protein-protein interaction(PPI) analysis showed that Saracae Cortex mainly acted on signal transducer and activator of transcription 3(STAT3), vascular endothelial growth factor A( VEGFA), epidermal growth factor( EGF), tumor necrosis factor( TNF),tumor protein p53(TP53), matrix metalloprotein 9(MMP9), c-fos proto-oncogene protein(FOS), estrogen receptor 1(ESR1), cx-c motif chemokine ligand 8(CXCL8), cluster of differentiation 8(CD8), and other targets. Gene Ontology(GO) analysis showed the biological process mainly acted on the inhibition of apoptosis, the positive regulation of gene expression, and the positive regulation of cell proliferation. Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes(KEGG) analysis showed that the mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK) signaling pathway, PI3K-Akt signaling pathway, and hypoxia-inducible factor 1(HIF-1) signaling pathway may play a key role in anti-inflammation of Saracae Cortex. Molecular docking verified that five key compounds had a strong binding force with their corresponding core target. Zebrafish animal experiments showed that Saracae Cortex could significantly inhibit ROS formation and reduce cell apoptosis in juvenile fish caused by inflammation and inhibit the further enhancement of inflammatory response in tissue. In addition, compared with the blank group, the transcription levels of nuclear factor kappa-B(NF-κB), TP53, FOS, adaptor protein complex-1(AP-1), and mitogen-activated protein kinases P38(P38) were significantly up-regulated in the model group. Compared with the model group, the m RNA expression of NF-κB, TP53, FOS, AP-1, and P38 was significantly down-regulated in zebrafish tissue treated with aqueous extract and 70% ethanol extract of Saracae Cortex. Saracae Cortex plays an anti-inflammatory role through multiple components and targets, and its anti-inflammatory effect may be related to the inhibition of the MAPK signaling pathway.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVES: To investigate the relationship between preoperative CA125 and symptom recurrence in adenomyosis after ultrasound-guided high-intensity focused ultrasound ablation surgery (FUAS). METHODS: A total of 502 adenomyosis patients after FUAS in Affiliated Nanchong Central Hospital of North Sichuan Medical College from June 2017 to March 2021 were reviewed. Factors associated with symptom recurrence of adenomyosis were analyzed by binary logistic regression model. ROC was used to determine the optimal cutpoint. Magnitude of preoperative CA125 relating to timing of symptom recurrence was measured by cox regression and Kaplan-Meier (K-M) curves. Besides, multiple liner regression model was used to identify the impacting factors for preoperative CA125. RESULTS: Multiple binary logistic analysis showed preoperative CA125 was related to symptom recurrence (OR = 1.002, 95%: 1.000~1.004, p = 0.043). The ROC of preoperative CA125 for recurrence validated 35 U/ml had a high sensitivity (82.5%). Preoperative CA125 was related to timing of symptom recurrence (HR = 2.255, 95%: 1.387-3.667, p = 0.001). K-M curves showed medium recurrence time in preoperative CA125 level >35 U/ml group (38.5 months) was shorter than that in CA125 level ≤35 U/ml group (44.5 months) (p = 0.001). Multiple liner regression analyses showed uterus volume and adenomyotic lesions volume positively correlated to preoperative CA125 level, while age negatively correlated to preoperative CA125 level. CONCLUSION: The higher level of preoperative CA125 was related to an earlier onset of symptom recurrence after FUAS.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Underwater endoscopic mucosal resection (UEMR) is a promising strategy for nonpedunculated colorectal polyp removal. However, the efficacy and safety of the technique for the treatment of ≥ 10-mm colorectal polyps remain unclear. We aimed to comprehensively assess the efficacy and safety of UEMR for polyps sized 10-19 mm and ≥ 20 mm. METHODS: PubMed, EMBASE, and the Cochrane Library databases were searched for relevant articles from January 2012 to November 2019. Primary outcomes were the rates of adverse events and residual polyps. Secondary outcomes were the complete resection, en bloc resection, and R0 resection rates. RESULTS: 18 articles including 1142 polyps from 1093 patients met our inclusion criteria. The overall adverse event and residual polyp rates were slightly lower for UEMR when removing colorectal polyps of 10-19 mm vs. ≥ 20 mm (3.5 % vs. 4.3 % and 1.2 % vs. 2.6 %, respectively). The UEMR-related complete resection rate was slightly higher for colorectal polyps of 10-19 mm vs. ≥ 20 mm (97.9 % vs. 92.0 %). However, the en bloc and R0 resection rates were dramatically higher for UEMR removal of polyps of 10-19 mm vs. ≥ 20 mm (83.4 % vs. 36.1 % and 73.0 % vs. 40.0 %, respectively). In addition, univariate meta-regression revealed that polyp size was an independent predictor for complete resection rate (P = 0.03) and en bloc resection (P = 0.01). CONCLUSIONS: UEMR was an effective and safe technique for the removal of ≥ 10-mm nonpedunculated colorectal polyps. However, UEMR exhibited low en bloc and R0 resection rates for the treatment of ≥ 20-mm polyps.

RESUMO

Four new aromatic meroterpenoids, ganocapenoids A-D (1-4), together with twelve known analogues (5-16) were isolated from the fruiting bodies of Ganoderma capense. The structures of new compounds were determined through spectroscopic methods including 1D and 2D NMR and MS analyses. Their absolute configurations were assigned by ECD calculations and specific rotation comparison. The biological activities of these substances toward regulation of lipid metabolism, neurite outgrowth-promoting activity, and AchE inhibition were assessed. Compound 15 was found to be able to block lipid accumulation at a concentration of 20 µM, and compounds 4a, 4b, and 11 show moderate neurite outgrowth-promoting activity at 10 µM, while compounds 3, 6, 11, and 13 exhibit potent AchE inhibition with the IC50 values of 28.6 ±â€¯1.9, 18.7 ±â€¯1.6, 8.2 ±â€¯0.2, 26.0 ±â€¯2.9 µM, respectively.

RESUMO

Increased expression of trefoil factor 3 (TFF3) has been reported in colorectal carcinoma (CRC), being correlated with distant metastasis and poor clinical outcomes. Amongst the CRC subtypes, mesenchymal (CMS4) CRC is associated with the worst survival outcome. Herein, the functional roles of TFF3 and the pharmacological inhibition of TFF3 by a novel specific small molecule TFF3 inhibitor-2-amino-4-(4-(6-fluoro-5-methylpyridin-3-yl)phenyl)-5-oxo-4H,5H-pyrano[3,2-c]chromene-3-carbonitrile (AMPC) in CMS4 CRC was explored. Forced expression of TFF3 in CMS4 CRC cells promoted cell proliferation, cell survival, foci formation, invasion, migration, cancer stem cell like behaviour and growth in 3D Matrigel. In contrast, siRNA-mediated depletion of TFF3 or AMPC inhibition of TFF3 in CMS4 CRC cells decreased oncogenic behaviour as indicated by the above cell function assays. AMPC also inhibited tumour growth in vivo. The TFF3-stimulated oncogenic behaviour of CMS4 CRC cells was dependent on TFF3 activation of the p44/42 MAPK (ERK1/2) pathway. Furthermore, the forced expression of TFF3 decreased the sensitivity of CMS4 CRC cells to 5-fluorouracil (5-FU); while depleted TFF3 expression enhanced 5-FU sensitivity in CMS4 CRC cells. 5-FU treatment induced TFF3 expression in CMS4 CRC cells. AMPC, when used in combination with 5-FU in CMS4 CRC cells exhibited a synergistic inhibitory effect. In summary, this study provides functional evidence for TFF3 as a therapeutic target in CMS4 CRC.

RESUMO

Jasmonates (JAs) are important plant hormones that regulate a variety of plant development and defense processes, including biosynthesis of secondary metabolites. The JASMONATE ZIM DOMAIN (JAZ) proteins act as negative regulators in the JA signaling pathways of plants. We first verified that methyl jasmonate (MeJA) enhanced the accumulation of both salvianolic acids and tanshinones in Salvia miltiorrhiza (Danshen) hairy roots by inducing the expression of their biosynthetic pathway genes. Nine JAZ genes were cloned from Danshen and their expression levels in hairy roots were all increased by treatment with MeJA. When analyzed in detail, however, SmJAZ8 showed the strongest expression in the induced hairy roots. Overexpression or RNAi of SmJAZ8 deregulated or up-regulated the yields of salvianolic acids and tanshinones in the MeJA-induced transgenic hairy roots, respectively, and transcription factors and biosynthetic pathway genes showed an expression pattern that mirrored the production of the compounds. Genetic transformation of SmJAZ8 altered the expression of other SmJAZ genes, suggesting evidence of crosstalk occurring in JAZ-regulated secondary metabolism. Furthermore, the transcriptome analysis revealed a primary-secondary metabolism balance regulated by SmJAZ8. Altogether, we propose a novel role for SmJAZ8 as a negative feedback loop controller in the JA-induced biosynthesis of salvianolic acids and tanshinones.

RESUMO

Sucrose non-fermenting 1-related protein kinase 2(SnRK2) plays a key role in abiotic stress signaling in plants. In this study, we cloned a SmSnRK2.4 gene belonging to subclass I of SnRK2 from Salvia miltiorrhiza by screening its transcriptome database. The SmSnRK2.4 gene contains 8 introns and 9 exons, with a 1 068 bp open reading frame encoding a polypeptide of 355 amino acids, the predicted molecular mass of which is 40.63 kDa. Prokaryotic expression of SmSnRK2.4 protein using pMAL-c2X as the expression vector displayed that the recombinant protein of SmSnRK2.4 gene in E. coli was consistent with the predicted size. A 3 000 bp promoter sequence of SmSnRK2.4 contained some stress-responsive elements and hormone-responsive elements. Quantitative real-time PCR analysis revealed that the expression of SmSnRK2.4 in root was much higher than that in stem and leaf, SmSnRK2.4 was strongly induced by PEG stress, weakly induced by ABA stress. This research provided a basis for further study of the SmSnRK2.4 gene playing the role in accumulate mechanism of secondary metabolites in S. miltiorrhiza under drought.

RESUMO

Salvia miltiorrhiza is a significant source of bioactive compounds providing human health effects. Here, we surveyed root yield and the active constituents' divergences of second generation S. miltiorrhiza (SP2) responding to a spaceflight environment. High-performance liquid chromatography was conducted for the comprehensive constituents' characterizations of 28 SP2 lines (224 individuals) and the ground control (eight individuals). The results showed that the mean fresh and dry weight of roots ranged from 116 to 172 g and 25 to 119 g, respectively, in SP2 lines. In addition, the mean contents of four tanshinone compounds (tanshinone I, tanshinone IIA, cryptotanshinone, and dihydrotanshinone I) of 28 SP2 lines varied from 0.32 to 1.04 mg ·â€Šg(-1), 0.47 to 2.39 mg ·â€Šg(-1), 0.25 to 1.60 mg ·â€Šg(-1), and 0.53 to 1.67 mg ·â€Šg(-1), respectively. Except for salvianolic acid B, which varied drastically from 72 % to 201 % of the ground control treatment, the other six phenolic acid contents of the 28 SP2 lines all increased after spaceflight. Principal component analysis was performed to obtain an overview of the distribution of all samples, and score plots clearly separated the SP2 accessions from ground controls. Moreover, a positive relationship was observed between tanshinone I and tanshinone IIA (r = 0.790, p < 0.01), and rosmarinic acid was positively correlated with salvianolic acid B (r = 0.728, p < 0.01). In conclusion, this study demonstrated that a spaceflight environment induced SP2 accessions remarkably in the variation of root yield and active constituent content.

RESUMO

Background: Mitophagy is the selective degradation of mitochondria by autophagy. It becomes increasingly clear that mitophagy pathways are important for cancer cells to adapt to their high-energy needs. However, which genes associated with mitophagy could be used to prognosis cancer is unknown. Methods: We created a clinical prognostic model using mitophagy-related genes (MRGs) in lung adenocarcinoma (LUAD) patients for the first time, and we employed bioinformatics methods to search for biomarkers that affect the progression and prognosis of LUAD. Transcriptome data for LUAD were obtained from The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database, and additional expression data from LUAD patients were sourced from the Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) database. Furthermore, 25 complete MRGs were identified based on annotations from the MSigDB database. Results: A comparison of the mitophagy scores between the groups with high and low scores was done using receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves, which also revealed the differential gene expression patterns between the two groups. Using Kaplan-Meier analysis, two prognostic MRGs from the groups with high and low mitophagy scores were identified: TOMM40 and VDAC1. Using univariate and multivariate Cox regression, the relationship between the expression levels of these two genes and prognostic clinical features of LUAD was examined further. The prognosis of LUAD patients was shown to be significantly correlated (P < 0.05) with the expression levels of these two genes. Conclusions: Our prognostic model would improve the prognosis of LUAD and guide clinical treatments.

RESUMO

The sweet potato whitefly, Bemisia tabaci (Gennadius) (Hemiptera:Aleyrodidae), is an invasive and damaging pest of field crops worldwide. The neonicotinoid insecticide imidacloprid has been widely used to control this pest. We assessed the species composition (B vs. Q), imidacloprid resistance, and association between imidacloprid resistance and the expression of five P450 genes for 14-17 B. tabaci populations in 12 provinces in China. Fifteen of 17 populations contained only B. tabaci Q, and two populations contained both B and Q. Seven of 17 populations exhibited moderate to high resistance to imidacloprid, and eight populations exhibited low resistance to imidacloprid, compared with the most susceptible field WHHB population. In a study of 14 of the populations, resistance level was correlated with the expression of the P450 genes CYP6CM1 and CYP4C64 but not with the expression of CYP6CX1, CYP6CX4, or CYP6DZ7. This study indicates that B. tabaci Q has a wider distribution in China than previously reported. Resistance to imidacloprid in field populations of B. tabaci is associated with the increased expression of two cytochrome P450 genes (CYP6CM1 and CYP4C64).

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: To explore the association between CA125 and dysmenorrhea in adenomyosis, and the factors affecting CA125 in adenomyosis. METHODS: Patients were grouped a the presence of dysmenorrhea. The receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve was applied to assess the utility of CA125 for dysmenorrhea. Binary logistic regression was employed to identify the factors associating dysmenorrhea and CA125 level. RESULTS: Patients in the dysmenorrhea group had higher CA125 levels than those in the non-dysmenorrhea group. For those with dysmenorrhea, CA125 levels of diffuse subtype group were higher than those of the focal subtype group. The CA125 level of 35 U/mL was validated as the optimal cut-point for dysmenorrhea in ROC curves. Compared with patients whose CA125 was 35 U/mL or less, those with CA125 levels greater than 35 U/mL were more likely to have dysmenorrhea. Thereafter, the multiple regression analysis showed that adenomyotic lesion volume was positively correlated with CA125 level in the total cohort and subtype groups, while age was negatively correlated with CA125 level in the total cohort and diffuse subtype. CONCLUSIONS: The pathogenesis of adenomyosis is not clear. CA125 was associated with dysmenorrhea in adenomyosis, and, furthermore, CA125 level is positively correlated with the severity of the disease.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVES: This study aimed to investigate the prevalence and risk factors for carbapenem-resistant Enterobacterales colonisation/infection at admission and acquisition among patients admitted to the intensive care unit. RESEARCH METHODOLOGY/DESIGN: A prospective and multicentre study. SETTING: This study was conducted in 24 intensive care units in Anhui, China. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES: Demographic and clinical data were collected, and rectal carbapenem-resistant Enterobacterales colonisation was detected by active screening. Multivariate logistic regression models were used to analyse factors associated with colonisation/infection with carbapenem-resistant Enterobacterales at admission and acquisition during the intensive care unit stay. RESULTS: There were 1133 intensive care unit patients included in this study. In total, 5.9% of patients with carbapenem-resistant Enterobacterales colonisation/infection at admission, and of which 56.7% were colonisations. Besides, 8.5% of patients acquired carbapenem-resistant Enterobacterales colonisation/infection during the intensive care stay, and of which 67.6% were colonisations. At admission, transfer from another hospital, admission to an intensive care unit within one year, colonisation/infection/epidemiological link with carbapenem-resistant Enterobacterales within one year, and exposure to any antibiotics within three months were risk factors for colonisation/infection with carbapenem-resistant Enterobacterales. During the intensive care stay, renal disease, an epidemiological link with carbapenem-resistant Enterobacterales, exposure to carbapenems and beta-lactams/beta-lactamase inhibitors, and intensive care stay of three weeks or longer were associated with acquisition. CONCLUSION: The prevalence of colonisation/infection with carbapenem-resistant Enterobacterales in intensive care units is of great concern and should be monitored systematically. Particularly for the 8.5% prevalence of carbapenem-resistant Enterobacterales acquisition during the intensive care stay needs enhanced infection prevention and control measures in these setting. Surveillance of colonisation/infection with carbapenem-resistant Enterobacterales at admission and during the patient's stay represents an early identification tool to prevent further transmission of carbapenem-resistant Enterobacterales. IMPLICATIONS FOR CLINICAL PRACTICE: Carbapenem-resistant Enterobacterales colonization screening at admission and during the patient's stay is an important tool to control carbapenem-resistant Enterobacterales spread in intensive care units.

RESUMO

Thiamethoxam has been used as a major insecticide to control the B-biotype sweetpotato whitefly, Bemisia tabaci (Gennadius) (Hemiptera: Aleyrodidae). Due to its excessive use, a high level of resistance to thiamethoxam has developed worldwide over the past several years. To better understand the molecular mechanisms underlying this resistance in B. tabaci, gene profiles between the thiamethoxam-resistant and thiamethoxam-susceptible strains were investigated using the suppression subtractive hybridization (SSH) library approach. A total of 72 and 52 upand down-regulated genes were obtained from the forward and reverse SSH libraries, respectively. These expressed sequence tags (ESTs) belong to several functional categories based on their gene ontology annotation. Some categories such as cell communication, response to abiotic stimulus, lipid particle, and nuclear envelope were identified only in the forward library of thiamethoxam-resistant strains. In contrast, categories such as behavior, cell proliferation, nutrient reservoir activity, sequence-specific DNA binding transcription factor activity, and signal transducer activity were identified solely in the reverse library. To study the validity of the SSH method, 16 differentially expressed genes from both forward and reverse SSH libraries were selected randomly for further analyses using quantitative realtime PCR (qRT-PCR). The qRT-PCR results were fairly consistent with the SSH results; however, only 50% of the genes showed significantly different expression profiles between the thiamethoxam-resistant and thiamethoxam-susceptible whiteflies. Among these genes, a putative NAD-dependent methanol dehydrogenase was substantially over-expressed in the thiamethoxamresistant adults compared to their susceptible counterparts. The distributed profiles show that it was highly expressed during the egg stage, and was most abundant in the abdomen of adult females.

RESUMO

Objective: Spaceflight has long been perceived as an effective way to improve the quantity and quality of plants with wide applications. In order to obtain stable and inheritable descendants of spaceflight-induced Salvia miltiorrhiza lines, we investigated and analyzed four lines m16, m50, m51, m57 (three individuals of each line) and the ground control (three individuals) of the third generation of spaceflight-induced S. miltiorrhiza from primary/secondary metabolism and antioxidative abilities. Methods: A portable photosynthesis system (Li-6400) with red/blue LED light source was used to perform the photosynthetic characteristics to evaluate their primary productivity. The secondary metabolites (phenolic acids, tanshinones, total phenolics and flavonoids) and antioxidant activity of roots were analyzed to assess their quality. Results: Compared with control, line m16 presented weak photosynthetic ability, but high apparent quantum yield (AQY), higher contents of secondary metabolites, and stronger antioxidative abilities. Line m57 had a strong gas exchange ability, relatively higher secondary metabolites contents, and ascending antioxidative abilities. Lines m50 and m51 were in the middle level of lines m16 and m57. The principal component analysis for all the original data revealed three components including a root-related index, a leaf-related index, and a CO2 response parameter could be used to distinguish spaceflight-induced S. miltiorrhiza lines. Conclusion: Line m57 could be an appropriate material for the investigation of targeted breeding towards high production, and line m16 could be used to identify essential genes and unravel sophisticated pathways underlying the secondary metabolisms.

RESUMO

The totally implantable venous access device (TIVAD) has been widely used in clinical nursing work in China. The use of TIVAD has significantly improved the safety of venous access and reduced the pain caused by a repeated puncture; however, it may also bring with it varying degrees of complications associated with the long-term insertion of TIVAD and the maintenance quality of the venous access. Standard maintenance of the venous access for TIVAD is very important for reducing complications and improving the efficacy and patient's quality of life. This consensus briefly describes the fundamental knowledge and operating procedures of TIVAD while focusing on the evaluation and management of perioperative nursing, the observation and treatment of complications, the operation methods, and precautions for maintenance of venous access, as well as health education. This agreement seeks to standardize the nursing care of TIVAD patients in China.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Fetus-in-fetu (FIF) is an extremely rare congenital abnormal mass, in which a normal fetus's vertebral axis frequently connected with malformed fetus around this axis. Here, we report the case of a male infant aged 26 d presenting with retroperitoneal parasitic fetus. CASE SUMMARY: In a prenatal examination, we first detected an abdominal mass measuring 7.8 cm × 5.1 cm × 6.8 cm in a mother's abdomen at 25 gestational weeks and teratoma was suspected. After the fetal was born, we did a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and ultrasonography on him and saw a distinctive limb with five-toes. According to the result of MRI, ultrasonography and postoperative pathology, he finally was diagnosed with FIF. CONCLUSION: A laparotomy was performed at 26 d of age with excision of the retroperitoneal cystic tumor, which measured about 10 cm in diameter. According to the result of imaging and histological test, FIF was confirmed.

RESUMO

PM2.5 samples were collected from October 15, 2017 to January 23, 2018 in the Yangquan urban area. The characteristics of PM2.5 and its main chemical components on clean and polluted days were analyzed, and source apportionment of PM2.5 was conducted using enrichment factor analysis (EF) and positive matrix factorization (PMF). The results showed that the ratios of secondary inorganic ions (SO42-, NO3-, and NH4+) to PM2.5 on polluted days was 23.83%, which is 2.43 times higher than that on clean days, indicating that secondary inorganic pollution was more significant on polluted days. The enrichment degree of anthropogenic elements Cd, Sb, Sn, Cu, Pb, Zn, and As on polluted days was higher than that on clean days. The results of the PMF source apportionment showed that the main sources of PM2.5 in Yangquan are coal combustion, dust, motor vehicles, secondary aerosols, and industry, with contributions of 29.26%, 23.83%, 19.34%, 16.01%, and 11.57%, respectively. The contribution of motor vehicle emissions to PM2.5 on polluted days is 20.57%, which is higher than that on clean days (17.82%), while the contribution of coal combustion sources to PM2.5 on polluted days is 23.04%, which is significantly lower than that on clean days (33.75%). The stationary weather on polluted days caused the contribution of motor vehicle emissions to PM2.5 to increase compared with on clean days, while the contribution of coal combustion sources to PM2.5 was decreased. The results show that air pollution control should pay more attention to the control of coal combustion and dust during autumn and winter in Yangquan, and further strengthen the control of motor vehicles to reduce their contribution to pollution.

RESUMO

Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) were collected at three environmental sampling sites in Yangquan and quantified by gas chromatography-mass selective detector/flame ionization detector(GC-MSD/FID). The VOC sources were identified by diagnostic ratios and positive matrix factorization (PMF), and environmental impact of VOCs on O3 and secondary organic aerosol (SOA) were evaluated. The results showed that the average VOC concentration was (82.1±22.7) µg·m-3, with alkanes being the most abundant group (51.8%), followed by aromatics (17.8%), alkenes (8.0%), and alkynes (3.8%). The diurnal variation of VOCs exhibited a bimodal trend, with twin peaks appearing at 08:00-10:00 and 18:00-20:00, falling to a valley at 12:00-14:00. The results for benzene/toluene (2.1±1.3) and isopentane/n-pentane (1.7±0.6) showed that the ambient VOCs may be influenced by coal combustion and vehicular emissions. Six sources were extracted by PMF:coal combustion (34.9%), vehicle emissions (18.2%), gasoline evaporation (15.2%), industrial emissions (13.6%), biogenic emissions (9.2%), and solvent usage (9.0%). The average concentration of ozone formation potential (OFP) was 156.6 µg·m-3, with the highest contribution from alkenes, while the average concentration of secondary organic aerosol formation potential (SOAp) was 68.7 µg·m-3, mainly from aromatics (93.4%). In summary, coal combustion was the most abundant source of VOCs, and accelerating the management of coal gangue and energy structure readjustment are the key points to address. Meanwhile, restricting the VOCs from vehicle emissions, gasoline evaporation, and industrial emissions is also required.
