RESUMO

The simultaneous and independent measurements of two-dimensional (2D) displacements are significant for 2D positioning. Here a planar inductive sensor which is based on the principle of electromagnetic induction is proposed. The sensor is composed of a primary coil and a secondary coil. The primary coil consists of an array of planar spiral coils which are arranged as an m × n matrix. The primary coil is supplied with 4 kHz alternating current to generate an array of pulsating magnetic field. The secondary coil contains four spiral coils which are arranged as a 2 × 2 matrix. Thereby, four roads of modulated signals whose amplitudes vary with displacements of the secondary coil along x- and y-axis are induced. An algorithm based on the Coordinate Rotation Digital Computer algorithm is introduced to resolve the planar displacements. The structure and working principle of the sensor are proposed firstly. Then, the finite element analysis of the electromagnetic model and the numerical simulation of the algorithm are given. An experiment has been performed on a sensor prototype and the results show that the proposed scheme is feasible. Measurement error analysis of the sensor has been pursued at the end of the paper.

RESUMO

Testicular aging manifests as impaired spermatogenesis and morphological alterations in Drosophila. Nonetheless, the comprehensive molecular regulatory framework remains largely undisclosed. This investigation illustrates the impact of copper overload on testicular aging and underscores the interplay between copper overload and lncRNA. Copper overload triggers Cuproptosis through the mitochondrial TCA cycle, facilitating intracellular interactions with Ferroptosis, thereby governing testicular aging. Dysfunction of lncRNA:CR43306 also contributes to testicular aging in Drosophila, emphasizing the significance of lncRNA:CR43306 as a novel aging-associated lncRNA. Moreover, copper overload exacerbates spermatid differentiation defects mediated by lncRNA:CR43306 deficiency through oxidative stress, copper, and iron transport. Therapeutically, Ferrostatin-1 and Resveratrol emerge as potential remedies for addressing testicular aging. This study offers perspectives on the regulatory mechanisms involving copper overload and lncRNA:CR43306 deficiency in the context of testicular aging.

RESUMO

Background: Maternal body fluids contain abundant cell-free fetal RNAs which have the potential to serve as indicators of fetal development and pathophysiological conditions. In this context, this study aimed to explore the potential diagnostic value of maternal circulating long non-coding RNAs (lncRNAs) in ventricular septal defect (VSD). Methods: The potential of lncRNAs as non-invasive prenatal biomarkers for VSD was evaluated using quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) and receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve analysis. The biological processes and regulatory network of these lncRNAs were elucidated through bioinformatics analysis. Results: Three lncRNAs (LINC00598, LINC01551, and GATA3-AS1) were found to be consistent in both maternal plasma and amniotic fluid. These lncRNAs exhibited strong diagnostic performance for VSD, with AUC values of 0.852, 0.957, and 0.864, respectively. The bioinformatics analysis revealed the involvement of these lncRNAs in heart morphogenesis, actin cytoskeleton organization, cell cycle regulation, and protein binding through a competitive endogenous RNA (ceRNA) network at the post-transcriptional level. Conclusion: The cell-free lncRNAs present in the amniotic fluid have the potential to be released into the maternal circulation, making them promising candidates for investigating epigenetic regulation in VSD.

RESUMO

Stainless steel core panel is a novel structure for fast modular building, but its brazing foils are susceptible to defects due to the difficulty of precisely controlling the brazing process. An automated, nondestructive testing technique is highly desirable for quick inspection of the brazing defects buried in the stainless-steel core panel. In this paper, pulsed eddy current testing (PECT) was employed to inspect local incomplete brazing defects. Finite element simulation and experiment verification were conducted to investigate the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed method. The peak value of the PECT signal was found to be sensitive to the presence of the defect. With the aid of an industrial robotic arm, line and two-dimensional scans were performed of the PECT probe above the panel specimen. The prefabricated incomplete brazing foil was successfully imaged as a notched ring, whose opening coincides with the physical length of the missing brazing. The proposed method shows potential to serve as an effective tool for in-line or off-line automated nondestructive testing of the brazing defects in stainless steel core panels.

RESUMO

Background: Although sleep quality is clearly associated with job burnout as shown in the existing research, the mechanism underpinning such relationship remains undefined. This work, thus, aimed to assess the current situation of sleep quality and burnout in Chinese psychiatric nurses, and to analyze the relationships between sleep quality, burnout and coping style, in order to provide possible targets to enhance mental health and wellbeing among psychiatric nurses. Method: This cross-sectional study was carried out in seven rehabilitation centers located in four different regions of China. The Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index, the Epworth Sleeping Scale, the Maslach Burnout Inventory General Survey, and the Coping Style Questionnaire were distributed to 853 nurses in various mental hospitals, with a total of 664 participants being recruited in the final research. Results: The results of this current study showed a high prevalence of sleep disorders and burnout in Chinese psychiatric nurses. Moreover, emotional exhaustion (r = 0.456), cynicism (r = 0.323) and negative coping style (r = 0.191) in nurses were all positively correlated with total Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) score, while professional efficacy (r = -0.079) and positive coping style (r = -0.140) were negatively correlated with total PSQI score. More interestingly, of all negative coping strategies, we found that self-blame had the most significant effect (ß = 0.156). Conclusions: The above results showed that coping style mediates the association of poor sleep quality with job burnout in Chinese psychiatric nurses. This study claimed that there is an urgent need to development the coping skills to sustain a healthy work life for nurses.

RESUMO

AIM: Our study aimed to evaluate the sleep status of psychiatric nurses in Chinese population and analyse the influencing factors. DESIGN: Cross-sectional, correlation design with logistic regression analysis. METHODS: We investigated 1,044 psychiatric nurses from seven psychiatric hospitals in China. Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index and Maslach Burnout Inventory General Survey were used as main measures. RESULTS: The average Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index score of 1,044 psychiatric nurses was 7.00 ± 3.59, and 38.63% of nurses had a total Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index score >7. Our study found that middle-night shift nurses had poor sleep quality and sleep disorders are positively correlated with emotional exhaustion and cynical disregard for job burnout. Middle-night shift nurses showed 1.586 times more likely to suffer from sleep disorders than those non-middle-night shift. The higher the score of emotional exhaustion, the greater the risk of sleep disorders.

RESUMO

Silver foams with high porosity and electrical conductivity have many potential applications in energy storage, catalysis, and fuel cells. However, its application is largely hindered by the low efficiency of complicated synthesis processes. In this work, a facile and rapid bottom-up fabrication of silver foams in an aqueous solution allowing large-scale production through oriented and additive nanojoining of silver nanoplate building blocks is reported. Self-assembling of as-grown silver nanoplates facilitates the oriented nanoscale joining to align the atomic lattice, and the local additive of silver promotes diffusion and interconnection at room temperature to realize a rapid synthesis process. The freeze-dried silver foam exhibits a porosity of 95.45%, an ultralow density of 61 mg·cm-3, low thermal conductivity of 0.29 W·m-1·K-1, and high electrical conductivity of 8086 S·m-1. This oriented and locally additive nanojoining process presents a new strategy to fabricate silver foams that may also inspire the fabrications of other metal foams.
