RESUMO

Kaposi's sarcoma-associated herpesvirus (KSHV) is the causative agent of Kaposi's sarcoma (KS), which is endangering human health worldwide, especially in Africa, Europe, the United States, and parts of Asia. The aim of this study was to investigate the prevalence of KSHV in Xinjiang. Three KSHV recombinant proteins (ORF65, ORF73, and K8.1) were used to detect KSHV infection. The serum samples to be tested were detected by an indirect ELISA method. The overall infection rate of KSHV in Xinjiang was 25.60%, with a higher infection rate in the Uygur population of 29.79%. After adjusting for possible confounders, Uygur (OR = 3.95, 95% CI 2.64-6.12, P < 0.001), agriculture and livestock (OR = 1.60, 95% CI 1.20-2.17, P = 0.002), age ≤ 50 years (OR = 1.50, 95% CI 1.13-2.00, P = 0.006), and predominantly meat-based diet (OR = 1.72, 95% CI 1.11-2.78, P = 0.018) were significantly associated with the odds of KSHV seropositivity correlation. Three unique sequences of KSHV were obtained in this study; genotypic analysis showed that the three unique sequences were all subtype A2.

RESUMO

Abnormalities in cardiac function arise irregularly and typically involve multimodal electrical, mechanical vibrations, and acoustics alterations. This paper proposes an Electro-Mechano-Acoustic (EMA) activity model for mapping the complete macroscopic cardiac function to refine the systematic interpretation of cardiac multimodal assessment. We abstract this activity pattern and build the mapping system by analyzing the functional comparison of the heart pump and Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI) system from the multimodal characteristics of the heart. Electrocardiogram (ECG), seismocardiogram (SCG) & Ultra-Low Frequency seismocardiogram (ULF-SCG), and Phonocardiogram (PCG) are selected to implement the EMA mapping respectively. First, a novel low-frequency cardiograph compound sensor capable of extracting both SCG and ULF-SCG is proposed, which is integrated with ECG and PCG modules on a single hardware device for portable dynamic acquisition. Afterward, a multimodal signal processing chain further analyses the acquired synchronized signals, and the extracted ULF-SCG is shown to indicate changes in heart volume. In particular, the proposed method based on waveform curvature is used to extract 9 feature points of the SCG signal, and the overall recognition accuracy reaches over 90% in the data collected by EMA portable device. Ultimately, we integrate the portable device and signal processing chains to form the EMA cardiovascular mapping system (EMACMS). As a next-generation system solution for cardiac daily dynamic monitoring, which can map the mechanical coupling and electromechanical coupling process, extract multi-characteristic heart rate variability (HRV), and enable extraction of important time intervals of cardiac activity to assess cardiac function.

RESUMO

The effects of an ultrasonic surface rolling process (USRP) on the localized corrosion behavior of 7B50-T7751 aluminum alloy in a sodium chloride + hydrogen peroxide solution were investigated through microstructural observation, immersion testing, and electrochemical measurements. The results revealed that this alloy is prone to pitting. However, the localized corrosion resistance can be significantly improved via both one-pass USRP and 12-pass USRP treatment. Furthermore, in the test solution, the thickness and the acceptor density of the passivation film were affected by the USRP treatment. The improved corrosion resistance of one-pass USRP-treated samples resulted mainly from the introduced compressive residual stress. However, this stress played a secondary role in the considerable enhancement observed for the corrosion resistance of the 12-pass USRP-treated samples. This enhancement is attributed primarily to the nanocrystalline surface and homogeneous surface microstructure induced by the multiple-pass USRP treatment.

RESUMO

Nb3Sn strands fabricated using Nb-Zr alloy can be internally oxidized, provided that oxygen is properly supplied via an oxide powder. This allows the formation of fine intragranular and intergranular ZrO2 particles in a Nb3Sn matrix. These particles can refine the grain size by a factor of three and thereby greatly enhance the Nb3Sn critical current density.
