RESUMO

Optoelectronic devices consist of heterointerfaces formed between dissimilar semiconducting materials. The relative energy-level alignment between contacting semiconductors determinately affects the heterointerface charge injection and extraction dynamics. For perovskite solar cells (PSCs), the heterointerface between the top perovskite surface and a charge-transporting material is often treated for defect passivation1-4 to improve the PSC stability and performance. However, such surface treatments can also affect the heterointerface energetics1. Here we show that surface treatments may induce a negative work function shift (that is, more n-type), which activates halide migration to aggravate PSC instability. Therefore, despite the beneficial effects of surface passivation, this detrimental side effect limits the maximum stability improvement attainable for PSCs treated in this way. This trade-off between the beneficial and detrimental effects should guide further work on improving PSC stability via surface treatments.

RESUMO

The metabolic signature identification of colorectal cancer is critical for its early diagnosis and therapeutic approaches that will significantly block cancer progression and improve patient survival. Here, we combined an untargeted metabolic analysis strategy based on internal extractive electrospray ionization mass spectrometry and the machine learning approach to analyze metabolites in 173 pairs of cancer samples and matched normal tissue samples to build robust metabolic signature models for diagnostic purposes. Screening and independent validation of metabolic signatures from colorectal cancers via machine learning methods (Logistic Regression_L1 for feature selection and eXtreme Gradient Boosting for classification) was performed to generate a panel of seven signatures with good diagnostic performance (the accuracy of 87.74%, sensitivity of 85.82%, and specificity of 89.66%). Moreover, seven signatures were evaluated according to their ability to distinguish between cancer and normal tissues, with the metabolic molecule PC (30:0) showing good diagnostic performance. In addition, genes associated with PC (30:0) were identified by multiomics analysis (combining metabolic data with transcriptomic data analysis) and our results showed that PC (30:0) could promote the proliferation of colorectal cancer cell SW480, revealing the correlation between genetic changes and metabolic dysregulation in cancer. Overall, our results reveal potential determinants affecting metabolite dysregulation, paving the way for a mechanistic understanding of altered tissue metabolites in colorectal cancer and design interventions for manipulating the levels of circulating metabolites.

Due to their solution processability and unique photoelectric characteristics, perovskite solar cells (PSCs) have shown considerable promise in the area of renewable energy. Although their power conversion efficiency (PCE) has risen from 3.8% to 25.7% in only a few years, their short lifetime and high material prices continue to be key roadblocks to commercial viability. Charge transporting materials (CTMs), such as hole/electron transporting materials, are critical components in PSCs because they not only govern hole or electron extraction and transporting from the perovskite layer to the electrodes but also protect the perovskite from direct contact with the ambient environment. CTMs are split into two types: inorganic CTMs (ICTMs) and organic CTMs (OCTMs). Because of their inexpensive prices, well-adjusted energy levels, and low temperature solution-processed features, OCTMs have been more frequently explored and employed than ICTMs. Various forms of OCTMs with more straightforward synthetic pathways and better performance have been thoroughly researched. Recent achievements in the development of OCTMs will be discussed and evaluated on a molecular level in this study, which will include a systematic categorization of OCTMs based on molecular functionalization techniques. In order to achieve highly efficient and stable PSCs, we will present insights on the structure-property relationship in the design of OCTMs as well as device stability. We hope that this analysis will serve as a comprehensive reference to molecular design guidelines for various types of OCTMs, spurring greater research toward designing highly efficient and OCTMs for stable PSCs.

Human endogenous retroviruses, also called LTR elements, can be bound by transcription factors and marked by different histone modifications in different biological contexts. Recently, individual LTR or certain subclasses of LTRs such as LTR7/HERVH and LTR5_Hs/HERVK families have been identified as cis-regulatory elements. However, there are still many LTR elements with unknown functions. Here, we dissected the landscape of histone modifications and regulatory map of LTRs by integrating 98 ChIP-seq data in human embryonic stem cells (ESCs), and annotated the active LTRs enriching enhancer/promoter-related histone marks. Notably, we found that MER57E3 functionally acted as proximal regulatory element to activate respective ZNF gene. Additionally, HERVK transcript could mainly function in nucleus to activate the adjacent genes. Since LTR5_Hs/LTR5 was bound by many early embryo-specific transcription factors, we further investigated the expression dynamics in different pluripotent states. LTR5_Hs/LTR5/HERVK exhibited higher expression level in naïve ESCs and extended pluripotent stem cells (EPSCs). Functionally, the LTR5_Hs/LTR5 with high activity could serve as a distal enhancer to regulate the host genes. Ultimately, our study not only provides a comprehensive regulatory map of LTRs in human ESCs, but also explores the regulatory models of MER57E3 and LTR5_Hs/LTR5 in host genome.

Most studies on deception in soccer penalty kicks have focused on the deceptive actions used by penalty takers. However, it is worth noting that deception can also be played out by goalkeepers. To examine the effectiveness of goalkeepers' deceptive actions in professional competition, we analysed 714 penalty kicks taken during matches in the English Premier League and German Bundesliga, spanning the seasons from 2016-2017 to 2019-2020. We scored whether goalkeepers used deception, and if so, what type of deception, the outcome of the penalty and the kicking strategy of the penalty taker. The results showed that goalkeepers used deception in half of the penalty kicks, resulting in significantly less goals compared to penalties without deception. This advantage was similar for the different types of deception, but larger when penalty takers paid attention to goalkeepers. We propose that the deceptive actions by goalkeepers are effective, mainly because it leads the penalty taker to lose focus. The practical implications of these findings are discussed for both goalkeepers and penalty takers.

BACKGROUND: Grain weight/size influences not only grain yield (GY) but also nutritional and appearance quality and consumer preference in Tartary buckwheat. The identification of quantitative trait loci (QTLs)/genes for grain weight/size is an important objective of Tartary buckwheat genetic research and breeding programs. RESULTS: Herein, we mapped the QTLs for GY, 1000-grain weight (TGW), grain length (GL), grain width (GW) and grain length-width ratio (L/W) in four environments using 221 recombinant inbred lines (XJ-RILs) derived from a cross of 'Xiaomiqiao × Jinqiaomai 2'. In total, 32 QTLs, including 7 for GY, 5 for TGW, 6 for GL, 11 for GW and 3 for L/W, were detected and distributed in 24 genomic regions. Two QTL clusters, qClu-1-3 and qClu-1-5, located on chromosome Ft1, were revealed to harbour 7 stable major QTLs for GY (qGY1.2), TGW (qTGW1.2), GL (qGL1.1 and qGL1.4), GW (qGW1.7 and qGW1.10) and L/W (qL/W1.2) repeatedly detected in three and above environments. A total of 59 homologues of 27 known plant grain weight/size genes were found within the physical intervals of qClu-1-3 and qClu-1-5. Six homologues, FtBRI1, FtAGB1, FtTGW6, FtMADS1, FtMKK4 and FtANT, were identified with both non-synonymous SNP/InDel variations and significantly differential expression levels between the two parents, which may play important roles in Tatary buckwheat grain weight/size control and were chosen as core candidate genes for further investigation. CONCLUSIONS: Two stable major QTL clusters related to grain weight/size and six potential key candidate genes were identified by homology comparison, SNP/InDel variations and qRT‒qPCR analysis between the two parents. Our research provides valuable information for improving grain weight/size and yield in Tartary buckwheat breeding.

BACKGROUND: Inflammasome activation has a pathogenic role in Parkinson's disease (PD). Up-regulated expressions of inflammasome adaptor apoptosis-associated speck-like protein containing a CARD (ASC) and assembly of ASC specks have been observed in postmortems of human PD brains and experimental PD models. Extracellular ASC specks behave like danger signals and sustain prolonged inflammasome activation. However, the contribution of ASC specks in propagation of inflammasome activation and pathological progression in PD has not been fully established. METHODS: Herein, we used human A53T mutant α-synuclein preformed fibrils (PFFs)-stimulated microglia in vitro and unilateral striatal stereotaxic injection of PFFs-induced mice model of PD in vivo, to investigate the significance of ASC specks in PD pathological progression. Rotarod and open-field tests were performed to measure motor behaviors of indicated mice. Changes in the molecular expression were evaluated by immunofluorescence and immunoblotting (IB). Intracellular knockdown of the ASC in BV2 cells was performed using si-RNA. Microglial and neuronal cells were co-cultured in a trans-well system to determine the effects of ASC knockdown on cytoprotection. RESULTS: We observed a direct relationship between levels of ASC protein and misfolded α­synuclein aggregates in PD mice brains. ASC specks amplified NLRP3 inflammasome activation driven by α-synuclein PFFs stimulation, which aggravated reactive microgliosis and accelerated α­synuclein pathology, dopaminergic neurodegeneration and motor deficits. Endogenous ASC knockdown suppressed microglial inflammasome activation and neuronal α­synuclein aggregation. CONCLUSIONS: In conclusion, our study elucidated that ASC specks contribute to the propagation of inflammasome activation-associated α­synuclein pathology in PD, which forms the basis for targeting ASC as a potential therapy for PD.

This study aimed to compare the efficacy of neoadjuvant systemic therapy (NST) with solvent-based paclitaxel (Sb-P), liposomal paclitaxel (Lps-P), nanoparticle albumin-bound paclitaxel (Nab-P), and docetaxel in human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2)-low-positive and HER2-zero breast cancers. A total of 430 patients receiving 2-weekly dose-dense epirubicin and cyclophosphamide (EC) followed by 2-weekly paclitaxel (Sb-P, Lps-P, or Nab-P), or 3-weekly EC followed by 3-weekly docetaxel for NST were enrolled in the study. In HER2-low-positive patients, the pathological complete response (pCR) rate in Nab-P group was significantly higher than that in the other three paclitaxel groups (2.8 % in Sb-P group, 4.7 % in Lps-P group, 23.2 % in Nab-P group and 3.2 % in docetaxel group, p < 0.001). In HER2-zero patients, the pCR rate did not differ significantly among the four paclitaxel groups (p = 0.278). The NST regimen containing Nab-P could be considered a promising treatment option in HER2-low-positive breast cancer.

Granulomatous diseases caused by Nocardia seriously endanger the health of cultured fish. These bacteria are widely distributed, but prevention and treatment methods are very limited. Chronic granulomatous inflammation is an important pathological feature of Nocardia infection. However, the molecular mechanisms of granuloma formation and chronic inflammation are still unclear. Constructing a granuloma infection model of Nocardia is the key to exploring the pathogenesis of the disease. In this study, we established a granuloma model in the liver of largemouth bass (Micropterus salmoides) and assessed the infection process of Nocardia seriolae at different concentrations by analysing relevant pathological features. By measuring the expression of pro-inflammatory cytokines, transcription factors and a pyroptosis-related protein, we revealed the close relationship between pyroptosis and chronic inflammation of granulomas. We further analysed the immunofluorescence results and the expression of pyroptosis-related protein of macrophage infected by N. seriolae and found that N. seriolae infection induced macrophage pyroptosis in vitro. These results were proved by flow cytometry analysis of infection experiment in vivo. Our results indicated that the pyroptosis effect may be the key to inducing chronic inflammation in the fish liver and further mediating granuloma formation. In this study, we explored the molecular mechanism underlying chronic inflammation of granulomas and developed research ideas for understanding the occurrence and development of granulomatous diseases in fish.

DNA N6-methyladenine (6 mA) is a new type of DNA methylation identified in various eukaryotic cells. However, its alteration and genomic distribution features in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) remain elusive. In this study, we found that N6AMT1 overexpression increased HCC cell viability, suppressed apoptosis, and enhanced migration and invasion, whereas ALKBH1 overexpression induced the opposite effects. Further, 23,779 gain-of-6 mA regions and 11,240 loss-of-6 mA regions were differentially identified in HCC tissues. The differential gain and loss of 6 mA regions were considerably enriched in intergenic regions. Moreover, 7% of the differential 6 mA modifications were associated with tumors, with 60 associated with oncogenes and 57 with tumor suppressor genes (TSGs), and 17 were common to oncogenes and TSGs. The candidate genes affected by 6 mA were filtered by gene ontology (GO) and RNA-seq. Using quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR), BCL2 and PARTICL were found to be correlated with DNA 6 mA in certain HCC processes.

Maize has become one of the most widely grown grains in the world, and the stay-green mutant allows these plants to maintain their green leaves and photosynthetic potential for longer following anthesis than in non-mutated plants. As a result, stay-green plants have a higher production rate than non-stay-green varieties due to their prolonged grain-filling period. In this study, the candidate genes related to the visual stay-green at the maturation stage of maize were investigated. The F2 population was derived from the T01 (stay-green) and the Xin3 (non-stay-green) cross. Two bulked segregant analysis pools were constructed. According to the method of combining ED (Euclidean distance), Ridit (relative to an identified distribution unit), SmoothG, and SNP algorithms, a region containing 778 genes on chromosome 9 was recognized as the candidate region associated with the visual stay-green in maize. A total of eight modules were identified using WGCNA (weighted correlation network analysis), of which green, brown, pink, and salmon modules were significantly correlated with visual stay-green. BSA, combined with the annotation function, discovered 7 potential candidate genes, while WGCNA discovered 11 stay-green potential candidate genes. The candidate range was further reduced due through association analysis of BSA-seq and RNA-seq. We identified Zm00001eb378880, Zm00001eb383680, and Zm00001eb384100 to be the most likely candidate genes. Our results provide valuable insights into this new germplasm resource with reference to increasing the yield for maize.

Lanthanide metal-organic frameworks (Ln-MOFs) are promising for luminescence detection of volatile organic compound (VOC) vapors, but usually suffer from the silent or quenched Ln3+ emission. Herein, we report a new dual-emissive Eu-MOF composed of the coordinatively unsaturated Eu9 clusters that afford abundant open metal sites to form a confined "binding pocket" to facilitate the preconcentration and recognition of VOCs. Single-crystal structural analyses reveal that specific analytes can replace the OH oscillators in the first coordination sphere of Eu3+ and form a unique hydrogen-bonding second-sphere adduct tying adjacent Eu9 clusters together to minimize their nonradiative vibrational decay. With the promoted Eu3+ luminescence, the MOF realizes real-time in situ visual sensing of THF vapor (<1 s) and shows a quantitative ratiometric response to the vapor pressure with a limit of detection down to 17.33 Pa. Also, it represents a top-performing ratiometric luminescent thermometer.

The application of rapid and accurate diagnostic methods can improve colorectal cancer (CRC) survival rates dramatically. Here, we used a non-targeted metabolic analysis strategy based on internal extractive electrospray ionization mass spectrometry (iEESI-MS) to detect metabolite ions associated with the progression of CRC from 172 tissues (45 stage I/II CRC, 41 stage III/IV CRC, and 86 well-matched normal tissues). A support vector machine (SVM) model based on 10 differential metabolite ions for differentiating early-stage CRC from normal tissues was built with a good prediction accuracy of 92.6%. The biomarker panel consisting of lysophosphatidylcholine (LPC) (18:0) has good diagnostic potential in differentiating early-stage CRC from advanced-stage CRC. We showed that the down-regulation of LPC (18:0) in tumor tissues is associated with CRC progression and related to the regulation of the epidermal growth factor receptor. Pathway analysis showed that metabolic pathways in CRC are related to glycerophospholipid metabolism and purine metabolism. In conclusion, we built an SVM model with good performance to distinguish between early-stage CRC and normal groups based on iEESI-MS and found that LPC (18:0) is associated with the progression of CRC.

Hand, foot, and mouth disease (HFMD) is an infectious disease that usually occurs in children under 5 years and is caused by a group of enteroviruses. This study aimed to investigate the epidemiological characteristics of HFMD clusters from 2016 to 2020 in Tongzhou, Beijing, and explored the genetic evolution of CV-A6. The HFMD case information came from the Information System of China Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), as well as the clusters information verification and on-site investigation by Tongzhou CDC. ARIMA model was applied to forecast HFMD clusters in 2020. Totally 440 HFMD clusters were reported during 2016-2020. The large peak of the clusters occurred in April-July, followed by a smaller peak in October-November during 2016-2019. However, in 2020, the two peaks disappeared. The main site of HFMD clusters was childcare facilities (65.0%) and mostly occurred in urban areas (46.1%). The detection rate of CV-A6 was the highest (36.1%), and cases with CV-A6 infection had the highest proportion of fever. The phylogenetic analysis based on CV-A6 VP1 gene showed that the predominant strains mainly located in Group F during 2016-2017, while changed into Group A during 2018-2020. HFMD clusters presented seasonality, mainly located in childcare facilities and urban areas, and CV-A6 was the major causative agent. Targeted prevention and control measures should be taken to reduce HFMD clusters.

BACKGROUND: Emerging evidence indicates that the apolipoprotein E (APOE) ε4 exacerbates α-synuclein pathology. OBJECTIVE: To determine whether APOE ε4 contributes to motor progression in early Parkinson's disease (PD). METHODS: Longitudinal data were obtained from 384 patients with PD divided into APOE ε4 carriers (n = 85) and noncarriers (n = 299) in the Parkinson's Progression Marker Initiative. Participants underwent yearly motor assessments over a mean follow-up period of 78.9 months. Repeated measures and linear mixed models were used to test the effects of APOE ε4. RESULTS: The motor progression was significantly more rapid in patients with PD carrying APOE ε4 than in noncarriers (ß = 0.283, P = 0.026, 95% confidence interval: 0.033-0.532). Through subgroup analysis, we found that the effect of APOE ε4 was significant only in patients with high amyloid ß burden (ß = 0.761, P < 0.001, 95% confidence interval: 0.0356-1.167). CONCLUSIONS: APOE ε4 may be associated with rapid motor progression in PD. © 2021 International Parkinson and Movement Disorder Society.

BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE: The insidious onset of Parkinson's disease (PD) makes early diagnosis difficult. Notably, idiopathic rapid eye movement sleep behavior disorder (iRBD) was reported as a prodrome of PD, which may represent a breakthrough for the early diagnosis of PD. However, currently there is no reliable biomarker for PD diagnosis. Considering that α-synuclein (α-Syn) and neuroinflammation are known to develop prior to the onset of clinical symptoms in PD, it was hypothesized that plasma total exosomal α-Syn (t-exo α-Syn), neural-derived exosomal α-Syn (n-exo α-Syn) and exosomal apoptosis-associated speck-like protein containing a caspase activation and recruitment domain (ASC) may be potential biomarkers of PD. METHODS: In this study, 78 PD patients, 153 probable iRBD patients (pRBD) and 63 healthy controls (HCs) were recruited. α-Syn concentrations were measured using a one-step paramagnetic particle-based chemiluminescence immunoassay, and ASC levels were measured using the Ella system. RESULTS: It was found that t-exo α-Syn was significantly increased in the PD group compared to the pRBD and HC groups (p < 0.0001), whilst n-exo α-Syn levels were significantly increased in both the PD and pRBD groups compared to HCs (p < 0.0001). Furthermore, although no difference was found in ASC levels between the PD and pRBD groups, there was a positive correlation between ASC and α-Syn in exosomes. CONCLUSIONS: Our results suggest that both t-exo α-Syn and n-exo α-Syn were elevated in the PD group, whilst only n-exo α-Syn was elevated in the pRBD group. Additionally, the adaptor protein of inflammasome ASC is correlated with α-Syn and may facilitate synucleinopathy.

BACKGROUND: Growing evidence suggests important effects of body mass index (BMI) and metabolic status on neurodegenerative diseases. However, the roles of BMI and metabolic status on cognitive outcomes in Parkinson's disease (PD) may vary and are yet to be determined. METHODS: In total, 139 PD patients from the whole PD cohort in Parkinson's Progression Markers Initiative database underwent complete laboratory measurements, demographic and anthropometric parameters at baseline, and were enrolled in this study. Further, they were categorized into 4 different BMI-metabolic status phenotypes using Adult Treatment Panel-III criteria. Motor and cognition scales at baseline and longitudinal changes after a 48-month follow-up were compared among the 4 groups. Repeated-measure linear mixed models were performed to compare PD-related biomarkers among BMI-metabolic status phenotypes across time. RESULTS: We found that PD patients in the metabolically unhealthy normal weight group showed more cognitive decline in global cognition and visuospatial perception after a 48-month follow-up than those in the other 3 groups (p < 0.05). No difference was found in motor scales among different BMI-metabolic status phenotypes. Finally, compared to the metabolically healthy normal weight group, the metabolically healthy obesity group had lower CSF Aß42 and serum neurofilament levels in repeated-measure linear mixed models adjusting for age, gender, APOE e4 carrier status, and years of education (p = 0.031 and 0.046, respectively). CONCLUSION: The MUNW phenotype was associated with a rapid cognitive decline in PD.

The expression of Hemoglobin (Hb) is not restricted to erythrocytes but is also present in neurons. Hb is selectively enriched in vulnerable mesencephalic dopaminergic neurons of Parkinson's disease (PD) instead of resistant neurons. Controversial results of neuronal Hb levels have been reported in postmortem brains of PD patients: although neuronal Hb levels may decline in PD patients, elderly men with higher Hb levels have an increased risk of developing PD. α-synuclein, a key protein involved in PD pathology, interacts directly with Hb protein and forms complexes in erythrocytes and brains of monkeys and humans. These complexes increase in erythrocytes and striatal cytoplasm, while they decrease in striatal mitochondria with aging. Besides, the colocalization of serine 129-phosphorylated (Pser129) α-synuclein and Hb ß chains have been found in the brains of PD patients. Several underlying molecular mechanisms involving mitochondrial homeostasis, α-synuclein accumulation, iron metabolism, and hormone-regulated signaling pathways have been investigated to assess the relationship between neuronal Hb and PD development. The formation of fibrils with neuronal Hb in various neurodegenerative diseases may indicate a common fibrillization pathway and a widespread target that could be applied in neurodegeneration therapy.

BACKGROUND: Tartary buckwheat (Fagopyrum tataricum), an important pseudocereal crop, has high economic value due to its nutritional and medicinal properties. However, dehulling of Tartary buckwheat is difficult owing to its thick and tough hull, which has greatly limited the development of the Tartary buckwheat processing industry. The construction of high-resolution genetic maps serves as a basis for identifying quantitative trait loci (QTLs) and qualitative trait genes for agronomic traits. In this study, a recombinant inbred lines (XJ-RILs) population derived from a cross between the easily dehulled Rice-Tartary type and Tartary buckwheat type was genotyped using restriction site-associated DNA (RAD) sequencing to construct a high-density SNP genetic map. Furthermore, QTLs for 1000-grain weight (TGW) and genes controlling hull type were mapped in multiple environments. RESULTS: In total, 4151 bin markers comprising 122,185 SNPs were used to construct the genetic linkage map. The map consisted of 8 linkage groups and covered 1444.15 cM, with an average distance of 0.35 cM between adjacent bin markers. Nine QTLs for TGW were detected and distributed on four loci on chromosome 1 and 4. A major locus detected in all three trials was mapped in 38.2-39.8 cM region on chromosome 1, with an LOD score of 18.1-37.0, and explained for 23.6-47.5% of the phenotypic variation. The genes controlling hull type were mapped to chromosome 1 between marker Block330 and Block331, which was closely followed by the major locus for TGW. The expression levels of the seven candidate genes controlling hull type present in the region between Block330 and Block336 was low during grain development, and no significant difference was observed between the parental lines. Six non-synonymous coding SNPs were found between the two parents in the region. CONCLUSIONS: We constructed a high-density SNP genetic map for the first time in Tartary buckwheat. The mapped major loci controlling TGW and hull type will be valuable for gene cloning and revealing the mechanism underlying grain development and easy dehulling, and marker-assisted selection in Tartary buckwheat.

BACKGROUND: To date, the genetic contribution to Parkinson's disease (PD) remains unclear. Mutations in the collagen type VI alpha 3 (COL6A3) gene were recently identified as a cause of isolated dystonia. Since PD and dystonia are closely related disorders with shared clinical and genetic characteristics, we explored the association between COL6A3 and PD in a Chinese cohort. METHODS: We performed genetic screening of COL6A3 in a Chinese cohort of 173 patients with sporadic PD and 200 healthy controls. We identified variants that are likely to have pathogenic effects based on: 1) a minor allele frequency of < 0.01; and 2) the variant being recognized as deleterious by at least 15 different in silico predicting tools. Finally, we tested the aggregate burden of COL6A3 on PD via SKAT-O analysis. RESULTS: First, we found compound heterozygous COL6A3 gene mutations in one early-onset PD patients. Then, we explored whether COL6A3 variants contributed to increased risk of developing PD in a Chinese population. We detected 21 rare non-synonymous variants. Pathogenicity predictions identified 7 novel non-synonymous variants as likely to be pathogenic. SKAT-O analysis further revealed that an aggregate burden of variants in COL6A3 contributes to PD (p = 0.038). CONCLUSION: An increased aggregate burden of the COL6A3 gene was detected in patients with PD.
