RESUMEN

Frequent oil spill accidents and industrial wastewater discharge has always been one of the most severe worldwide environmental problems. To cope with this problem, many fluorine-containing and high-cost materials with superwettability have been extensively applied for oil-water separation, which hinders its large-scale application. In this work, a novel human hair fiber (HHF)-polymerized octadecylsiloxane (PODS) fiber was fabricated with a facile one-pot dip-coating synthesis approach, inspired by the self-assembly performance and hydrophobicity of OTS modification. The benefits of prominent hydrophobic/lipophilic behavior lie in the low surface energy, and a rough PODS coating was rationally adhered on the surface of HHF. Driven solely by gravity and capillary force, the HHF-PODS showed excellent oil/water separation efficiency (> 99.0%) for a wide range of heavy and light oil/water mixtures. In addition, HHF-PODS demonstrated durability toward different harsh environments like alkaline, acid, and salty solutions.

RESUMEN

OBJECTIVE@#To compare clinical efficacy of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and extracorporeal shock wave in treating chronic insertional Achilles tendinopathy.@*METHODS@#From February 2019 to August 2021, 42 patients with chronic insertional Achilles tendinopathy were selected and divided into PRP group(20 patients, 28 feet) and shock wave group (22 patients, 29 feet). In PRP group, there were 12 males and 8 females, aged 47.00(28.00, 50.75) years old, and the courses of disease ranged 7.00(6.00, 7.00) months;PRP injection was performed in the Achilles tendon stop area of the affected side. In shock wave group, there were 16 males and 6 females, aged 42.00(35.75, 47.25) years old;and the courses of disease was 7.00(6.00, 8.00) months;shock wave was performed in Achilles tendon stop area of the affected side and triceps surae area. Visual analogue scale (VAS) and Victorian Institute of Sport Assessment-Achilles (VISA-A) were applied to evaluate clnical effect before treatment, 1, 3 and 6 months after treatment, and satisfaction of patients was investigated.@*RESULTS@#VAS and VISA-A score in both groups were significantly improved at 1, 3 and 6 months after treatment than before treatment (P<0.05), VAS and VISA-A score in PRP group at 6 months after treatment were significantly higher than those at 1 and 3 months after treatment, and VAS and VISA-A score in shock wave group were lower than those at 1 and 3 months after treatment (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in VAS and VISA-A score between two groups before treatment, 1 and 3 months after treatment(P>0.05), while VAS and VISA-A score in PRP group were better than those in shock wave group at 6 months after treatment(P<0.05), and the satisfaction survey in PRP group was better than that in shock wave group(P<0.05).@*CONCLUSION@#PRP injection has a good clinical effect on chronic insertional Achilles tendinopathy with high patient satisfaction, and medium-and long-term effect of PRP injection for the treatment of chronic insertional Achilles tendinopathy is better than that of extracorporeal divergent shock wave.

OBJECTIVES@#To investigate the clinical treatment outcomes and the changes of the outcomes over time in extremely preterm twins in Guangdong Province, China.@*METHODS@#A retrospective analysis was performed for 269 pairs of extremely preterm twins with a gestational age of <28 weeks who were admitted to the department of neonatology in 26 grade A tertiary hospitals in Guangdong Province from January 2008 to December 2017. According to the admission time, they were divided into two groups: 2008-2012 and 2013-2017. Besides, each pair of twins was divided into the heavier infant and the lighter infant subgroups according to birth weight. The perinatal data of mothers and hospitalization data of neonates were collected. The survival rate of twins and the incidence rate of complications were compared between the 2008-2012 and 2013-2017 groups.@*RESULTS@#Compared with the 2008-2012 group, the 2013-2017 group (both the heavier infant and lighter infant subgroups) had lower incidence rates of severe asphyxia and smaller head circumference at birth (P<0.05). The mortality rates of both of the twins, the heavier infant of the twins, and the lighter infant of the twins were lower in the 2013-2017 group compared with the 2008-2012 group (P<0.05). Compared with the 2008-2012 group, the 2013-2017 group (both the heavier infant and lighter infant subgroups) had lower incidence rates of pulmonary hemorrhage, patent ductus arteriosus (PDA), periventricular-intraventricular hemorrhage (P-IVH), and neonatal respiratory distress syndrome (NRDS) and a higher incidence rate of bronchopulmonary dysplasia (P<0.05).@*CONCLUSIONS@#There is a significant increase in the survival rate over time in extremely preterm twins with a gestational age of <28 weeks in the 26 grade A tertiary hospitals in Guangdong Province. The incidences of severe asphyxia, pulmonary hemorrhage, PDA, P-IVH, and NRDS decrease in both the heavier and lighter infants of the twins, but the incidence of bronchopulmonary dysplasia increases. With the improvement of diagnosis and treatment, the multidisciplinary collaboration between different fields of fetal medicine including prenatal diagnosis, obstetrics, and neonatology is needed in the future to jointly develop management strategies for twin pregnancy.

This topic introduces functions, extraction and purification of polysaccharides and focuses on the effect of blue polysaccharides (BPs) on sport capacity, anti-fatigue effect and related physiological indexes in aged mice induced by D-galactose was investigated. Water extract-alcohol precipitation method was used in the experiment to extract polysaccharides from blueberry, after preliminary purification, research on polysaccharide of its vitro antioxidant activity and bacteriostasis is taken, to provide a reference for the production and application of blueberry polysaccharides. Mice were randomly divided into normal control group, aged model group, low-dose BP group, middle-dose BP group, and high-dose BP group. After the administration of BPs for 20 consecutive days, the exhaustive swimming time and fatigue indexes were determined. The results showed that BPs could extend the exhaustive swimming time, decrease the content of BUN, BLA and MDA, and obviously increase the reservation of HG, MG, SOD and LDH. To conclude, BPs has good anti-fatigue effect. This study may provide theoretical evidence for the development of anti-fatigue drugs from BPs.

Objective:To investigate the effects of histone deacetylase inhibitor Chidamide (CS055) and DNA methyltransferase inhibitor decitabine (DAC) on proliferation and apoptosis of acute myeloid leukemia cell line U937 and its possible mechanism.Methods:U937 cells were cultured in vitro and treated with CS055 (CS055 single drug group), DAC (DAC single drug group), combination (combined drug group)and a negative control group. Methyl thiazolyl tetrazolium (MTT) assay was used to detect the proliferation inhibition rate. The apoptosis rate was detected by flow cytometry.The mRNA expression of DNA methyltransferase 1 (DNMT1) was analyzed by real-time fluorescence quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR). Western blot was used to analyze the expression of acetylated histone H3 and DNMT1. Results:The proliferation inhibition rate of U937 cells treated with CS055 and DAC increased significantly in a time-dose-dependent manner. The inhibitory effect of the combination group was more obvious than that of the single drug group. Flow cytometry showed that the 72 h apoptotic rates in the control group, 0.25 μ mol/L CS055 group and 2.5 μ mol/L DAC group were (0.67±0.12)%, (23.43±0.50)%, (8.47±0.32)%, (32.73±0.42)%. The apoptotic rate was significantly increased in the combination group compared with the single drug group. qRT-PCR showed that the expression of DNMT1 mRNA was down-regulated after CS055 and DAC treat alone; the down-regulating effect of the combination group was more significant. Western blot showed that the up-regulation of Ac-H3 and the decrease of DNMT1 in the combination group were significantly higher than those in the single drug group.Conclusions:The application of CS055 and DAC alone could inhibit the proliferation and induce apoptosis of U937 cells. The combination of the two drugs has obvious synergistic effect. The mechanism is that histone deacetylase inhibitors have demethylation effects, and demethylation drugs also have the effect of histone deacetylase inhibitors, which in combination increases demethylation and increases histone deacetylation.

OBJECTIVE:To observe the ef fectiveness and safety of bosentan in the treatment of hypoxic pulmonary hypertension(HPH)in neonates. METHODS :From Jan. 2014 to Mar. 2019,a total of 82 HPH neonates hospitalized in the department of neonatology of our hospital were selected as research subjects. According to whether or not receiving bosentan therapy,50 cases were included into bosentan group and 32 cases into non-bosentan group. Meanwhile ,another 25 non-HPH neonates with serum sample retention time and general information such as gestational age at birth and day age matching the HPH group were selected as the control group. All neonates with HPH were given continuous intravenous infusion of Dopamine hydrochloride injection 5 mg/(kg·min)until PASP was normal. On this basis, neonates in the bosentan group were additionally given Bosentan tablets 1 mg/kg(fed after dissolving with appropriate amount of water for injection )for q 12 h,72 h. The relationship between serum ET- 1 levels of neonates with HPH and PASP was analyzed ,as well as PASP before and after treatment and therapeutic efficacy between bosentan and non-bosentan groups ,the changes of arterial blood gas indexes and ADR in 3 groups were compared. RESULTS :Before treatment ,the serum ET- 1 levels of bosentan group was (164.3±115.3)pg/mL,which was significantly higher than (41.9±3.7)pg/mL of control group and positively correlated with PASP level (r=0.864,P<0.001). Total response rate of bosentan group was 90.00%,which was significantly higher than 71.88% of non-bosentan group (P<0.05). After 72 h of treatment ,PASP of 2 groups was decreased significantly ,compared with before treatment (P<0.001),and the bosentan group was significantly lower than the non-bosentan group (P<0.05). The PaO 2,SaO2,PaCO2 and OI in 3 groups was significantly improved compared with that before treatment (P<0.001),and the PaO 2,SaO2 and OI in the bosentan group was significantly higher than that in the non-bosentan group (P<0.05). During the treatment period of bosentan and within one week after drug withdrawal,there was no significant change in serum LDH ,AST,ALT and Scr levels in neonates. There was no statistically significant difference in the incidence of feeding intolerance ,anemia,reduced WBC and reduced PLT in 3 groups(P>0.05). CONCLUSIONS: Bosentan can improve the oxygenation status of neonates with HPH, reduce PA SP,and short-termmedication is safe. com

OBJECTIVE@#To explore the clinical effect of vacuum sealing drainage (VSD) technique and Ointment in the treatment of foot skin defect.@*METHODS@#From November 2017 to April 2019, 21 patients (21 feet) with foot skin defect were treated with VSD technique and Ointment. There were 17 males and 4 females, aged from 24 to 60 years old with an average of (37.8±11.2) years, 9 cases caused by traffic accident injury, 6 cases by heavy injury, 6 cases by falling injury. The time from injury to operation was for 3 to 36 (8.6±7.2) h, and the area of foot skin defect was for 20.35 to 83.43(47.2±19.5) cm. All patients underwent debridement or phaseⅠtemporary fixation in emergency, and three-dimensional imagingof the foot was performed by using Mimics software, and the defect area was rendered. The quality of wound healing and complications were observed, and the clinical effect was evaluated by Maryland foot function score.@*RESULTS@#All the 21 patients were followed up for 7 to 17 (10.8±2.7) months. There was no infection or nonunion in all patients. At the final follow-up, the skin margin of the healing site grew tightly, the skin was elastic, the texture was tough, the appearance was no obvious carbuncle. The time of wound healing was for 18 to 63 (41.2±13.3) days. Eight patients underwent stageⅡfixation or/and fusion, and all incisions healed by stageⅠ. According to Maryland's foot scoring, 9 cases got excellent results, 11 good, and 1 middle.@*CONCLUSION@#VSD can effectively remove the necrotic tissue of the wound, provide a smooth drainage of the wound, combine with Ointment to prevent infection and promote the rapid growth of granulation tissue, whose whole treatment cycle was short, the wound healing site was highquality, the limb function was good, and the clinical effect was satisfactory.

For most spine surgeons, operative intervention is common for the treatment of lumbar disc herniation, lumbar stenosis, lumbar fracture or lumbar spondylolisthesis. However, with the increase in lumbar surgery, the complication rate increases accordingly. Whereas the Physiological and Operative Severity Score for the enUmeration of Mortality and Morbidity (POSSUM) scoring system has been widely used to predict morbidity in various surgical fields, the application of this system in lumbar surgery has not been reported. From January 2008 to January 2010, we recruited 158 patients (85 males and 73 females) with operation for lumbar disc herniation, lumbar stenosis, lumbar fracture, or lumbar spondylolisthesis. All patients were analyzed to compare the morbidity by a modified POSSUM scoring system. According to the modified POSSUM, the expected morbidity was 51 cases (32.3 %), whereas the observed mortality was 42 cases (26.6 %). The overall observed-to-expected ratio was 0.82, and the chi-squared test indicated no statistically significant difference between the expected and observed morbidities (χ (2) = 1.23, P = 0.27), suggesting that the modified POSSUM can accurately estimate the outcome. The modified POSSUM scoring system we developed is a useful tool for predicting and evaluating morbidity in lumbar surgery. Further studies are required to investigate whether this scoring system can predict mortality.

To explore the basics of integrated curriculums and the reform plan of integrated organ-system based curriculum of clinical subjects, this paper takes the integrated musculoskeletal system based curriculum in the third semester for undergraduates majoring in clinical medicine as an example, elaborates on the following five aspects: the organ system-centered curriculum system, the integration of teaching content, curriculum implementation plans, curriculum advantages, major issues and measures for improvement. This paper puts forward some urgent problems such as writing teaching materials, changing teachers' traditional teaching concepts, arranging the course reasonably, achieving learning outcomes, and deepening the integration of knowledge in various subjects. It is also provides suggestions for building a coherent and complete teaching model and knowledge system of the integrated organ-system based curriculum, helping students better understand the organic relationships between various disciplines, and promoting the curriculum reform. The reform of the integrated organ-system based curriculum has achieved initial results.

Objective To investigate the anti-inflammatory mechanism of the alkaloids in Dengtaiye Tablets (DTYT) based on the network pharmacology and chemomics. Methods The main indole alkaloids in the DTYT from Folium Alstoniae Scholaris were identified by UPLC-Q/TOF. The network pharmacology coupled with virtual docking technology and bioinformatics analysis were carried out for screening the key protein targets and pathways. Western blotting was utilized for evaluating the phosphorylation level of the primary node proteins in BEAS-2B cells inflammatory model induced by LPS. Results Twelve indole alkaloids were found in DTYT extract, which act on different protein targets, such as PDPK1 (PDK1), MAPK1 (ERK2), and MAPK8 (JNK1) respectively, and reduce the level of ERK2, JNK1, and IKK phosphorylation induced by LPS. Conclusion As the Q-markers of anti-inflammatory, the indole alkaloids contained in DTYT inhibited the PDK1/AKT/NF-κB and MAPK pathways, which present potential molecular mechanisms for the treatment of chronic bronchitis of DTYT.

RESUMEN

Richter syndrome (RS) is a rare disease of the lymphohematopoietic system. It is defined as the transformation of a low-grade malignant lymphoproliferative disorder into a more aggressive lymphoproliferative disorder, most commonly, diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (DLBCL). The disease is rare in the clinic and has nonspecific clinical manifestations. An excisional lymph node biopsy is considered the gold standard for diagnosis of RS; 18F-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography (18F-FDG PET) can help inform the optimal site for biopsy. The main treatment strategies are chemotherapy, hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT), participating in a clinical trial of a new medicine, and others, but the overall prognosis is poor. At present, there is no sufficient treatment for the disease. In order to improve the awareness of disease and identify it among a variety of similar diseases, while aiming to discuss treatment strategies, this article reviewed RS in terms of the risk factors, clinical manifestations, diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis.

Objective To study the neuroprotective effect of orexin-B on rat model of cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury and its molecular mechanism. Methods The artery occlusion model of male Wister rats(middle cerebral ar-tery occlusion,MCAO) was established which has been ischemic 2 h and reperfusion 24 h. Rats were randomly di-vided into sham group (control), ischemia-reperfusion group (I/R), ischemia-reperfusion +PBS group (I/R+PBS),and ischemia-reperfusion +orexin-B group (I/R+OXB). The neurological deficit scores were processed to inclusion and exclusion. Infarct size was determined by TTC staining;Using Western blot,the expressions of orexin receptor 2,p-AKT,p-GSK-3β proteins in hippocampus were detected;Jumping test was used to detect learning and memory abilities in rats. Results Orexin-B significantly reduced the volume of cerebral infarction in TTC staining;orexin-B group was significantly increased the expression of orexin receptor 2as well as p-AKT,which decreased p-GSK-3β (P<0.05),compared with the untreated group. Furthmore,the orexin-B treated group can improve the latency period and decline the mistakes in rat Jumping test(P<0.05). Conclusions The neuroprotective effect of orexin-B in cerebral ischemia-reperfusion injury may enhance p-AKT activity and inhibit p-GSK-3β activity,which may increase the proliferation of neurons and improve the cerebral blood glucose concentration.

Objective To analyze the changes of serum hypoxia-inducible factor-1α(HIF-1α),vas-cular endothelial growth factor ( VEGF) and endothelin-1 ( ET-1) levels in neonates with hypoxia-induced pulmonary hypertension(HPH),and to explore the roles of three factors in the pathogenesis of HPH in neo-nates. Methods A total of 50 neonates with HPH in the neonatal intensive care unit as HPH group and an-other 25 non-HPH hospitalized neonates with similar clinical data in the same period as control group were enrolled from January 2014 to December 2017. The levels of serum HIF-1α,VEGF and ET-1 were deter-mined by enzyme linked immunosorbent assay when neonates were diagnosed as HPH and their pulmonary artery systolic blood pressure(PASP) decreased to 35 mmHg below respectively. The changes of three factors levels were analyzed and compared with those of control group at the same time point. Results (1) The levels of serum HIF-1α,VEGF and ET-1 of HPH group were significantly higher than those of the control group (F value were 151. 97,43. 31,and 129. 56 respectively,all P<0. 01). Furthermore,the more serious the grade of HPH,the higher the levels of three factors. The differences were statistically significant (all P<0. 01). (2) After PASP of neonates in HPH group decreased to 35 mmHg or below,the levels of serum HIF-1α,VEGF and ET-1 also significantly decreased,and the differences were statistically significant ( all P <0. 01). However,there were no statistically significant differences compared with those of the control group for the levels of serum HIF-1α and VEGF(both P>0. 05) in addition to serum ET-1 levels (F=14. 98,P<0. 05). Conclusion High levels of HIF-1α,VEGF and ET-1 caused by hypoxia may play an important role in neonatal HPH.

Neurodegenerative diseases,which are common nervous system diseases,seriously affect people''s life quality and even lives. So the pathogenesis of neurodegenerative diseases is attracting more and more attention in recent years. People gradually realize that endoplasmic reticulum stress is associated with the pathogenesis of many diseases through studying the function of the endoplasmic reticulum. Neurodegen-erative diseases, endoplasmic reticulum stress,unfolded protein responsewere used as the key words of retrieval performance in the databases such as Pubmed,CNKI and so on. And the papers which closely re-lated with the theme were chosen to investigate the association between alzheimer''s disease,parkinson''s dis-ease,Huntington'' s disease ,amyotrophic lateral sclerosis and ERS. It turned out that the expression of mo-lecular chaperone GRP78/Bip was increased in all neurodegenerative diseases, and the phosphorylation of eIF2α increased in most neurodegenerative diseases. However, the expression of some ERS-related factors was completely different in different neurodegenerative diseases. RESUMEN

Objective: To explore correlation between plasma oxidized low density lipoprotein (ox-LDL) and endothelial injury degree in patients with coronary heart disease (CHD).Methods: A total of 80 CHD patients were enrolled as CHD group, and 21 healthy subjects were selected as healthy control group.Plasma ox-LDL, circulatory endothelial cell count (CEC), nitric oxide (NO) levels were measured and compared between two groups, and their correlation was analyzed.Results: Compared with healthy control group, there were significant rise in plasma ox-LDL level[(350±173) μg/L vs.(687±169) μg/L]and CEC[(2.5±0.5) ×106个/L vs.(9.0±1.7) ×106个/L], and significant reduction in NO level[(77.4±21.1) μmol/L vs.(52.3±16.6) μmol/L]in CHD group, P<0.05 or <0.01.Spearman correlation analysis indicated that ox-LDL was significant positively correlated with CEC (r=0.793, P=0.019), and ox-LDL, CEC were significant negatively correlated with NO level (r=-0.782,-0.952, P=0.013, 0.021).Conclusion:There are significant positively correlation between ox-LDL and circulatory endothelial cell count(Vascular endothelial injury degree) in CHD patients, therefore, its treatment should focus on anti-inflammatory and endothelial cell function protection.
