Parkinson's disease (PD) patients exhibit deficits in primary sensorimotor and higher-order executive functions. The gradient reflects the functional spectrum in sensorimotor-associated areas of the brain. We aimed to determine whether the gradient is disrupted in PD patients and how this disruption is associated with treatment outcome. Seventy-six patients (mean age, 59.2 ± 12.4 years [standard deviation], 44 women) and 34 controls participants (mean age, 58.1 ± 10.0 years [standard deviation], 19 women) were evaluated. We explored functional and structural gradients in PD patients and control participants. Patients were followed during 2 weeks of multidisciplinary intensive rehabilitation therapy (MIRT). The Unified Parkinson's Disease Rating Scale Part III (UPDRS-III) was administered to patients before and after treatment. We investigated PD-related alterations in the principal functional and structural gradients. We further used a support vector machine (SVM) and correlation analysis to assess the classification ability and treatment outcomes related to PD gradient alterations, respectively. The gradients showed significant differences between patients and control participants, mainly in somatosensory and visual networks involved in primary function, and higher-level association networks (dorsal attentional network (DAN) and default mode network (DMN)) related to motor control and execution. On the basis of the combined functional and structural gradient features of these networks, the SVM achieved an accuracy of 91.2% in discriminating patients from control participants. Treatment reduced the gradient difference. The altered gradient exhibited a significant correlation with motor improvement and was mainly distributed across the visual network, DAN and DMN. This study revealed damage to gradients in the brain characterized by sensorimotor and executive control deficits in PD patients. The application of gradient features to neurological disorders could lead to the development of potential diagnostic and treatment markers for PD.

Autophagy is a conserved lysosomal degradation process that has recently been found to be associated with stress-related psychological diseases. However, previous studies have yielded inconsistent results regarding the effects of various stress patterns on autophagy in different brain regions. This discrepancy may arise from differences in autophagy flux across nuclei, the type of stress experienced, and the timing of autophagy assessment after stress exposure. In this study, we assessed autophagy flux in the rat hippocampus (HPC), medial prefrontal cortex (mPFC), and basal lateral amygdala (BLA) by quantifying protein levels of p-ULK1, LC3-I, LC3-II, and p62 via Western blot analysis at 15 min, 30 min, and 60 min following various stress paradigms: restraint stress, foot shock, single corticosterone injection, and chronic corticosterone treatment. We found that: (1) hippocampal autophagy decreased within 1 h of restraint stress, foot shock, and corticosterone injection, except for a transient increase at 30 min after restraint stress; (2) autophagy increased 1 h after restraint stress and corticosterone injection but decreased 1 h after foot shock in mPFC; (3) In BLA, autophagy increased 1 h after foot shock and corticosterone injection but decreased 1 h after restraint stress; (4) Chronic corticosterone increased autophagy in mPFC and BLA but had no effects in HPC. These findings suggest that stress regulates autophagy in a brain region- and stressor-specific manner within 1 h after stress exposure, which may contribute to the development of stress-related psychological disorders.

BACKGROUND: Currently, industrial fermentation of Botrytis cinerea is a significant source of abscisic acid (ABA). The crucial role of ABA in plants and its wide range of applications in agricultural production have resulted in the constant discovery of new derivatives and analogues. While modifying the ABA synthesis pathway of existing strains to produce ABA derivatives is a viable option, it is hindered by the limited synthesis capacity of these strains, which hinders further development and application. RESULTS: In this study, we knocked out the bcaba4 gene of B. cinerea TB-31 to obtain the 1',4'-trans-ABA-diol producing strain ZX2. We then studied the fermentation broth of the batch-fed fermentation of the ZX2 strain using metabolomic analysis. The results showed significant accumulation of 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaric acid, mevalonic acid, and mevalonolactone during the fermentation process, indicating potential rate-limiting steps in the 1',4'-trans-ABA-diol synthesis pathway. This may be hindering the flow of the synthetic pathway. Additionally, analysis of the transcript levels of terpene synthesis pathway genes in this strain revealed a correlation between the bchmgr, bcerg12, and bcaba1-3 genes and 1',4'-trans-ABA-diol synthesis. To further increase the yield of 1',4'-trans-ABA-diol, we constructed a pCBg418 plasmid suitable for the Agrobacterium tumefaciens-mediated transformation (ATMT) system and transformed it to obtain a single-gene overexpression strain. We found that overexpression of bchmgr, bcerg12, bcaba1, bcaba2, and bcaba3 genes increased the yield of 1',4'-trans-ABA-diol. The highest yielding ZX2 A3 strain was eventually screened, which produced a 1',4'-trans-ABA-diol concentration of 7.96 mg/g DCW (54.4 mg/L) in 144 h of shake flask fermentation. This represents a 2.1-fold increase compared to the ZX2 strain. CONCLUSIONS: We utilized metabolic engineering techniques to alter the ABA-synthesizing strain B. cinerea, resulting in the creation of the mutant strain ZX2, which has the ability to produce 1',4'-trans-ABA-diol. By overexpressing the crucial genes involved in the 1',4'-trans-ABA-diol synthesis pathway in ZX2, we observed a substantial increase in the production of 1',4'-trans-ABA-diol.

BACKGROUND: To evaluate the incidence of metabolic syndrome (MetS) in patients with unilateral and bilateral staghorn calculi (SC) and evaluate the impact on the outcome of percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL). METHODS: The clinical data of patients who underwent PCNL for the treatment of SC between 2019 and 2022 were retrospectively reviewed. SC was divided into unilateral and bilateral. The incidence of MetS was compared between the patients with unilateral SC and the patients with bilateral SC, and the impact on the outcome of PCNL was assessed. RESULTS: A total of 1778 patients underwent PCNL between 2019 and 2022. After screening computed tomography, 379 patients were confirmed to have SC, finally, leaving 310 patients with follow-up and complete data to be included in the study. Eighty-four had bilateral SC and 226 had unilateral SC. The patients with bilateral SC had a significantly higher body mass index and higher rates of complete staghorn stones and metabolic syndrome. Higher body mass index, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, hyperlipidaemia, and MetS were present in 62.58%, 44.84%, 21.94%, 60.65% and 27.42% of all patients, respectively. The number of MetS components remained significantly associated with bilateral SC. Specifically, when the number of MetS components increases from 0 to 3-4, the likelihood of developing bilateral staghorn calculi increases by 21.967 times. Eighty-five patients with MetS( +) had a higher rate of overall complications (number (N)(%), 29 (34.12) vs.33 (14.46), P < 0.001) and a comparable stone-free rate to 225 MetS(-) patients. Multivariable analysis confirmed that hyperlipidaemia (P = 0.044, odds ratio [OR] = 1.991, 95% confidence interval [CI] 1.020-3.888) and MetS (P = 0.005, OR = 2.427, 95% CI 1.316-4.477) were independent risk factors for overall complications. CONCLUSIONS: MetS is correlated with the formation of bilateral SC and is the main predictor for complications of PCNL especially for low-grade complications (I-II).

RESUMEN

Achieving the complete mineralization of persistent pollutants in wastewater is still a big challenge. Here, we propose an efficient photo-self-Fenton reaction for the degradation of different pollutants using the high-density (Ag: 22 wt %) of atomically dispersed AgCo dual sites embedded in graphic carbon nitride (AgCo-CN). Comprehensive experimental measurements and density functional theory (DFT) calculations demonstrate that the Ag and Co dual sites in AgCo-CN play a critical role in accelerating the photoinduced charge separation and forming the self-Fenton redox centers, respectively. The bimetallic AgCo-CN exhibited excellent photocatalytic performance toward the phenol even under extreme conditions due to an efficient degradation pathway and in situ generation of the hydrogen peroxide producing the main active oxygen species (⋅OH and 1 O2 ) and showed long-term activity in a self-design photo-Filter reactor for the purification of the phenol. Our discoveries pave the way for the design of efficient single-atoms photocatalysts-based photo-self-Fenton reaction for recalcitrant pollutant treatment.

Physicists dating back to Feynman have lamented the difficulties of applying the variational principle to quantum field theories. In nonrelativistic quantum field theories, the challenge is to parametrize and optimize over the infinitely many n-particle wave functions comprising the state's Fock-space representation. Here we approach this problem by introducing neural-network quantum field states, a deep learning ansatz that enables application of the variational principle to nonrelativistic quantum field theories in the continuum. Our ansatz uses the Deep Sets neural network architecture to simultaneously parametrize all of the n-particle wave functions comprising a quantum field state. We employ our ansatz to approximate ground states of various field theories, including an inhomogeneous system and a system with long-range interactions, thus demonstrating a powerful new tool for probing quantum field theories.

BACKGROUD: Plasma lipids and alcohol intake frequency have been reported to be associated with the risk of osteoarthritis (OA). However, it remains inconclusive whether plasma lipids and alcohol intake frequency play a role in the development of OA. METHODS: The study employed a comprehensive genome-wide association database to identify independent genetic loci strongly linked to plasma lipids and alcohol intake frequency, which were used as instrumental variables. The causal association between plasma lipids, alcohol intake frequency, and the risk of OA was then analyzed using two-sample Mendelian randomization methods such as inverse variance weighted (IVW), MR-Egger regression, and weighted median estimator (WME), with odds ratios (ORs) as the evaluation criteria. RESULTS: A total of 392 SNPs were included as instrumental variables in this study, including 32 for total cholesterol (TC), 39 for triglycerides (TG), 170 for high-density lipoproteins (HDL), 60 for low-density lipoproteins (LDL), and 91 for alcohol intake frequency. Using the above two-sample Mendelian Randomization method to derive the causal association between exposure and outcome, with the IVW method as the primary analysis method and other MR analysis methods complementing IVW. The results of this study showed that four exposure factors were causally associated with the risk of OA. TC obtained a statistically significant result for IVW (OR = 1.207, 95% CI: 1.018-1.431, P = 0.031); TG obtained a statistically significant result for Simple mode (OR = 1.855, 95% CI: 1.107-3.109, P = 0.024); LDL obtained three statistically significant results for IVW, WME and Weighted mode (IVW: OR = 1.363, 95% CI: 1.043-1.781, P = 0.023; WME: OR = 1.583, 95% CI: 1.088-2.303, P = 0.016; Weighted mode: OR = 1.521, 95% CI: 1.062-2.178, P = 0.026). Three statistically significant results were obtained for alcohol intake frequency with IVW, WME and Weighted mode (IVW: OR = 1.326, 95% CI: 1.047-1.678, P = 0.019; WME: OR = 1.477, 95% CI: 1.059-2.061, P = 0.022; Weighted mode: OR = 1.641, 95% CI: 1.060-2.541, P = 0.029). TC, TG, LDL, and alcohol intake frequency were all considered as risk factors for OA. The Cochran Q test for the IVW and MR-Egger methods indicated intergenic heterogeneity in the SNPs contained in TG, HDL, LDL, and alcohol intake frequency, and the test for pleiotropy indicated a weak likelihood of pleiotropy in all causal analyses. CONCLUSIONS: The results of two-sample Mendelian randomization analysis showed that TC, TG, LDL, and alcohol intake frequency were risk factors for OA, and the risk of OA increased with their rise.

BACKGROUND: Calliptamus italicus is a dominant species in the desert and semi-desert grassland. It is widely distributed throughout many regions such as Asia, Europe, North Africa and the Mediterranean, and has enormous destructive potential for agriculture and animal husbandry. The C. italicus overwintering as eggs in the soil through diapause, and the cold tolerance of locust eggs is the key to their ability to survive the winter smoothly to maintain the population. RESULTS: Transcriptome analysis of C. italicus eggs was carried out in this paper in constant low temperature acclimation, natural low temperature acclimation and room temperature. The differentially expressed genes related to cold tolerance were screened out, the differences in expression patterns under different low temperature acclimation were analyzed, and the genes in the significantly up-regulated pathways may play an important role in cold tolerance. The results show that different domestication modes can induce C. italicus eggs to express a large number of genes to alleviate low temperature damage, but C. italicus eggs are more sensitive to changes in temperature. Compared with the control, there are 8689 DEGs at constant low temperature and 14,994 DEGs at natural low temperature. KEGG analysis showed that DEGs were mainly enriched in pathways related to metabolism and biological systems under constant low temperature, and were mainly enriched in pathways related to biological systems and environmental information processing under natural low temperature. In addition, RNAi technology was used to further verify the regulation of genes in the significantly enriched up-regulated pathways on C. italicus eggs, and it was confirmed that the hatching rate of C. italicus eggs at low temperature was significantly reduced after interference. CONCLUSIONS: Transcriptome analysis of C. italicus eggs treated at different temperatures provided a theoretical basis for further understanding the adaptation mechanism of C. italicus eggs to low temperature. In addition, four potential RNAi target genes were verified in the eggs of C. italicus for the first time, providing new ideas for effective control of this species.

The theory of open quantum systems lays the foundation for a substantial part of modern research in quantum science and engineering. Rooted in the dimensionality of their extended Hilbert spaces, the high computational complexity of simulating open quantum systems calls for the development of strategies to approximate their dynamics. In this Letter, we present an approach for tackling open quantum system dynamics. Using an exact probabilistic formulation of quantum physics based on positive operator-valued measure, we compactly represent quantum states with autoregressive neural networks; such networks bring significant algorithmic flexibility due to efficient exact sampling and tractable density. We further introduce the concept of string states to partially restore the symmetry of the autoregressive neural network and improve the description of local correlations. Efficient algorithms have been developed to simulate the dynamics of the Liouvillian superoperator using a forward-backward trapezoid method and find the steady state via a variational formulation. Our approach is benchmarked on prototypical one-dimensional and two-dimensional systems, finding results which closely track the exact solution and achieve higher accuracy than alternative approaches based on using Markov chain Monte Carlo method to sample restricted Boltzmann machines. Our Letter provides general methods for understanding quantum dynamics in various contexts, as well as techniques for solving high-dimensional probabilistic differential equations in classical setups.

BACKGROUND: UCA1 is frequently upregulated in a variety of cancers, including CRC, and it can play an oncogenic role by various mechanisms. However, how UCA1 is regulated in cancer is largely unknown. In this study, we aimed to determine whether RNA methylation at N6-methyladenosine (m6A) can impact UCA1 expression in colorectal cancer (CRC). METHODS: qRT-PCR was performed to detect the level of UCA1 and IGF2BP2 in CRC samples. CRISPR/Cas9 was employed to knockout (KO) UCA1, METTL3 and WTAP in DLD-1 and HCT-116 cells, while rescue experiments were carried out to re-express METTL3 and WTAP in KO cells. Immunoprecipitation using m6A antibody was performed to determine the m6A modification of UCA1. In vivo pulldown assays using S1m tagging combined with site-direct mutagenesis was carried out to confirm the recognition of m6A-modified UCA1 by IGF2BP2. Cell viability was measured by MTT and colony formation assays. The expression of UCA1 and IGF2BP2 in TCGA CRC database was obtained from GEPIA ( http://gepia.cancer-pku.cn ). RESULTS: Our results revealed that IGF2BP2 serves as a reader for m6A modified UCA1 and that adenosine at 1038 of UCA1 is critical to the recognition by IGF2BP2. Importantly, we showed that m6A writers, METTL3 and WTAP positively regulate UCA1 expression. Mechanically, IGF2BP2 increases the stability of m6A-modified UCA1. Clinically, IGF2BP2 is upregulated in CRC tissues compared with normal tissues. CONCLUSION: These results suggest that m6A modification is an important factor contributing to upregulation of UCA1 in CRC tissues.

Gauge symmetries play a key role in physics appearing in areas such as quantum field theories of the fundamental particles and emergent degrees of freedom in quantum materials. Motivated by the desire to efficiently simulate many-body quantum systems with exact local gauge invariance, gauge equivariant neural-network quantum states are introduced, which exactly satisfy the local Hilbert space constraints necessary for the description of quantum lattice gauge theory with Z_{d} gauge group and non-Abelian Kitaev D(G) models on different geometries. Focusing on the special case of Z_{2} gauge group on a periodically identified square lattice, the equivariant architecture is analytically shown to contain the loop-gas solution as a special case. Gauge equivariant neural-network quantum states are used in combination with variational quantum Monte Carlo to obtain compact descriptions of the ground state wave function for the Z_{2} theory away from the exactly solvable limit, and to demonstrate the confining or deconfining phase transition of the Wilson loop order parameter.

Two-dimensional (2D) materials offer an ideal platform to study the strain fields induced by individual atomic defects, yet challenges associated with radiation damage have so far limited electron microscopy methods to probe these atomic-scale strain fields. Here, we demonstrate an approach to probe single-atom defects with sub-picometer precision in a monolayer 2D transition metal dichalcogenide, WSe2-2xTe2x. We utilize deep learning to mine large data sets of aberration-corrected scanning transmission electron microscopy images to locate and classify point defects. By combining hundreds of images of nominally identical defects, we generate high signal-to-noise class averages which allow us to measure 2D atomic spacings with up to 0.2 pm precision. Our methods reveal that Se vacancies introduce complex, oscillating strain fields in the WSe2-2xTe2x lattice that correspond to alternating rings of lattice expansion and contraction. These results indicate the potential impact of computer vision for the development of high-precision electron microscopy methods for beam-sensitive materials.

1',4'-trans-diol-ABA is a key precursor of the biosynthesis of abscisic acid (ABA) biosynthesis in fungi. We successfully obtained the pure compound from a mutant of Botrytis cinerea and explored its function and possible mechanism on plants by spraying 2 mg/L 1',4'-trans-diol-ABA on tobacco leaves. Our results showed that this compound enhanced the drought tolerance of tobacco seedlings. A comparative transcriptome analysis showed that a large number of genes responded to the compound, exhibiting 1523 genes that were differentially expressed at 12 h, which increased to 1993 at 24 h and 3074 at 48 h, respectively. The enrichment analysis demonstrated that the differentially expressed genes (DEGs) were primarily enriched in pathways related to hormones and resistance. The DEGs of transcription factors were generally up-regulated and included the bHLH, bZIP, ERF, MYB, NAC, WRKY and HSF families. Moreover, the levels of expression of PYL/PYR, PP2C, SnRK2, and ABF at the ABA signaling pathway responded positively to exogenous 1',4'-trans-diol-ABA. Among them, seven ABF transcripts that were detected were significantly up-regulated. In addition, the genes involved in salicylic acid, ethylene and jasmonic acid pathways, reactive oxygen species scavenging system, and other resistance related genes were primarily induced by 1',4'-trans-diol-ABA. These findings indicated that treatment with 1',4'-trans-diol-ABA could improve tolerance to plant abiotic stress and potential biotic resistance by regulating gene expression, similar to the effects of exogenous ABA.

The first nucleosomes in the downstream of transcription starting sites are called +1 nucleosomes, which are expected to be readily unwrapped for DNA transcription. To investigate DNA accessibility in +1 nucleosomes, MNase-seq experiments were carried out with 20 reconstituted +1 nucleosomes of budding yeast. Although MNase has been known for its sequence preference in DNA digestions, we confirmed that this sequence preference is overwhelmed by DNA accessibility by identifying the sequence-driven and accessibility-driven cleavages. Specifically, we find that sequences favoured by MNase at the end regions such as TA dinucleotide are prohibited from cleavage at the internal sites in the early stage of digestion. Nevertheless, sequences less favoured by MNase at the end regions such as AA/TT dinucleotide are predominantly cleaved at the internal sites in the early stage of digestion. Since AA/TT is known as a rigid dinucleotide step resistant to DNA bending, these internal cleavages reflect the local site exposures induced by DNA mechanics. As the DNA entry site of +1 nucleosomes in yeast is found AA/TT-rich, this sequence element may play a role in gene activation by reducing DNA-histone affinities along the direction of DNA transcription.

Talaromyces marneffei is an important opportunistic pathogen mainly afflicting the HIV-infected patients, in rare instance, it could cause infection in non-HIV-infected individuals. We report a 51-year-old Chinese woman who, with histories of SLE for 14 years and disseminated talaromycosis for 4 years, occurred partial intestinal obstruction that was demonstrated to be caused by Talaromyces marneffei infection. The randomly amplified polymorphic DNA results of paraffin-embedded tissues from both the present episode and the previous infection suggested that the present infection was a recurrent. The patient was performed excision of involved intestine and treated with oral itraconazole at a daily dose of 400 mg for 3 months, leading to an excellent response. However, she died with unknown reason more than a year later. We also reviewed the literature on Talaromyces marneffei infection associated with SLE as well as intestinal talaromycosis alone.

The relationship between coffee consumption and thyroid cancer (TC) occurrence has been evaluated in several observational studies with controversial results. The study aims to examine the associations between coffee consumption and TC occurrence. Systematic searches up to February 2019 were conducted. We estimated summary adjusted relative risks (RRs) and the corresponding 95% confidence intervals (CIs). The dose-response analysis was conducted by using generalised least square trend estimation. A total of ten studies involving 379,825 participants and 1,254 TC cases were included. The total summary RR showed that high coffee consumption was a protection factor of TC (RR = 0.75; 95% CI, 0.62-0.91). With the linear cubic spline model, the occurrence of TC was reduced by 5% with each one cup/day increment of coffee consumption (RR = 0.95; 95% CI, 0.91-0.99).This meta-analysis provides quantitative evidence that coffee consumption was inversely associated with the TC occurrence in a linear dose-response manner.

Although hypertension is a prominent vascular risk factor for late-life cognitive decline, the underlying pathophysiological mechanism remains unclear. Accordingly, the aim of this study was to examine the role of white matter microstructural integrity in hypertension-related cognitive detriments. We recruited 66 cognitively normal older adults, comprising 41 hypertensive patients and 25 normotensive controls. All participants underwent a comprehensive neuropsychological battery. White matter microstructural integrity was assessed using a tract-based automatic analysis approach derived from diffusion spectrum imaging. Mediating effects of white matter integrity were evaluated using structural equation modeling analyses. The results revealed that hypertensive older adults displayed poorer processing speed, executive function, and memory encoding. Lower white matter microstructural integrity was observed in the hypertensive elderly patients, primarily in long-range association fiber bundles. In particular, low microstructural integrity in specific tract bundles connecting frontal and posterior cerebral regions was found to underlie the adverse relationships between hypertension and multiple cognitive domains, including processing speed, executive function, memory encoding, and memory retention. Our findings suggest that hypertension may impair multiple cognitive functions by undermining white matter microstructures, even in cognitively intact older adults, thus further highlighting the necessity of monitoring vascular health to prevent cognitive decline.

Obtaining an accurate ground state wave function is one of the great challenges in the quantum many-body problem. In this Letter, we propose a new class of wave functions, neural network backflow (NNB). The backflow approach, pioneered originally by Feynman and Cohen [Phys. Rev. 102, 1189 (1956)10.1103/PhysRev.102.1189], adds correlation to a mean-field ground state by transforming the single-particle orbitals in a configuration-dependent way. NNB uses a feed-forward neural network to learn the optimal transformation via variational Monte Carlo calculations. NNB directly dresses a mean-field state, can be systematically improved, and directly alters the sign structure of the wave function. It generalizes the standard backflow [L. F. Tocchio et al., Phys. Rev. B 78, 041101(R) (2008)10.1103/PhysRevB.78.041101], which we show how to explicitly represent as a NNB. We benchmark the NNB on Hubbard models at intermediate doping, finding that it significantly decreases the relative error, restores the symmetry of both observables and single-particle orbitals, and decreases the double-occupancy density. Finally, we illustrate interesting patterns in the weights and bias of the optimized neural network.

AIMS AND OBJECTIVES: To compare the screening effectiveness of two translated phrases of the Distress Thermometer (DT), namely the XinLiTongKu Thermometer (DT-X) and KunRao Thermometer (DT-K), in Chinese patients with cancer. BACKGROUND: The DT is one of the most commonly used tools to screen cancer patients' psychological states. However, translations of the DT are not uniform in China; this may affect the screening effectiveness of this tool. DESIGN: Cross-sectional survey with randomisation and self-control. METHODS: A sample of 172 cases was screened using the two DT translations, to check and compare the screening effectiveness of the two translations. The correlation between them was also investigated. The causes of the differences in screening effectiveness of the two translations were analysed, using 90 of the above 172 cases and an additional 68 cases. STROBE guidelines were used in reporting this study. RESULTS: For the DT-X (using a cut-off score of 4), the sensitivity value was 0.82 and the specificity value was 0.95, where for the DT-K (using a cut-off score of 3), the values were 0.78 and 0.79, respectively. The area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC) was 0.914 and 0.797, respectively. Scores of the DT-X and the DT-K were positively correlated. In concepts of the participants, for both phrases, the sequences of the first three meanings were the same-worried, anxious and tired-while the fourth to sixth meanings were differed between phrases. CONCLUSION: The DT-X and DT-K were both effective screening tools. However, in this study, the DT-X had a larger AUC than the DT-K. RELEVANCE TO CLINICAL PRACTICE: This study may be useful for enabling better measurement of distress in Chinese patients and improving the indigenisation of the DT.
