RESUMEN

An evaluation of correlation between fatty acid composition in pulmonary surfactant lipids and 137Cs content in the body of children, residents of radiation-contaminated areas revealed that a increased incorporation of 137Cs promotes a disruption of fatty acid balance towards an increase in the saturation of the surfactant lipid complex, a destruction of lecithin fraction of surfactant, a decrease in antioxidant properties of surfactant system, an activation of lipid peroxidation processes in the respiratory area of lung by lipoxygenase type, a disturbance of polyunsaturated fatty acid metabolism on the stage of bioregulators-eicosanoid formation.

RESUMEN

During application of BAA "Glucorn" for the correction of fatty-acid composition of pulmonary surfactant lipids in children-residents of radiation contaminated territories detected changes, evidence about increasing adaptation-compensatory processes in lipid membrane structures of pulmonary surfactant and respiratory tracts epithelium, activation of enzymatic pathway conversion of polyunsaturated fatty acids in their derivations--eicosanoids in absence the changes lipid peroxydation.

RESUMEN

The correction with quercitin medication used for children residents of radioactive contaminated territories lead to changes in the lipid fatty acid spectrum of expired air condensate that were indicative of the increase in the antioxidant properties of pulmonary surfactant, the decrease in the activity of the lipid peroxidation process in the respiratory organs according to the lipoxigenese type, the increase in the unsaturated lipid complex of expired air condensate due to metabolic inactive linoleic and arachidonic polyunsaturated fatty acid.

RESUMEN

The differences in the fat acid spectrum of expired air condensate in children with recurrent bronchitis who are residents of the radiation contaminated territories and children with analogous diagnosis living in the "clear" region regarding the radionuclide contamination consisted in the increased saturation of lipid complex indices against the decrease in content of polyunsaturated fat acids, antioxidant properties of pulmonary surfactant and activity of adaptation-compensatory processes in lipid bilayer of its membrane structures.

RESUMEN

The study of lipid fatty acid content in the condensate of an expired air by gas liquid chromatography revealed an activation of lipid peroxidation processes against a background of a decrease in the antioxidant properties of pulmonary surfactant and metabolic disorders of polyunsaturated fatty acids at the stage of the bioregulator-eikosanoid formation in children-residents of the radioactive contaminated territories.

RESUMEN

The study of lipid fat acid content in condensate of expired air with the help of the gas liquid chromatography revealed the increased sum of polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) in a large measure of increased content of arachidonic and linolic PUFA in children-residents of radioactive contaminated territories in comparison with children born by participants of liquidation of Chernobyl accident consequences. It is evidence of more active processes of lipid peroxidation and shift of the balance of fatty acids to the side of omega-6 family.

RESUMEN

The paper is concerned with a clinico-experimental study of the influence of intesified activity in the neostriatum on the EEG indices which may appear during the introduction of increased doses of corazol. In 10 cases with different forms of parkinsonism there was a much easier appearance of clinical and EEG manifestations of convulsive activity, than in normals. In experiments on rats preconvulsive effects were exerted by such neuroleptics as haloperidol unlike apomorphine, possessing opposite properties.

RESUMEN

OBJECTIVE: To establish the sources of lymphocytosis in children living in ecologically unfavorable conditions after the Chornobyl Nuclear Power Plant accident aiming the high risk group formation for oncohematological diseases among the children's population. MATERIALS AND METHODS: The 226 children with lymphocytosis were surveyed. The of child's life history and kind of somatic morbidity were considered. Quantitative and qualitative parameters of blood cells, biochemical indices including immunoglobulins (A, M, G), circulating immune complexes, phagocytosis indices were assayed. RESULTS: Children with lymphocytosis were more often born with a high bodyweight, they demonstrated manifestations of constitutional lymphatism, lymphadenopathy and more often had respiratory infections. Quantitative and qualitative changes of hemopoietic elements depended on a type of a disease. Activation of lipid peroxidation, dysimmunoglobulinemia and increased level of circulating immune complexes were revealed. Treatment and preventive actions promoted normalization of hemogram indices in 58% of children surveyed. CONCLUSIONS: The abnormalities in immune indices, activated lipid peroxidation in membranes of hemopoietic elements, and manifestations of granulocytopoietic disorders were established it children with lymphocytosis. Therefore these children can be attributed tot the group of increased risk on oncohematological disease.
