BACKGROUND AND AIMS: The majority of the earth's land area is currently occupied by humans. Measuring how terrestrial plants reproduce in these pervasive environments is essential for understanding their long-term viability and their ability to adapt to changing environments. METHODS: We conducted hierarchical and phylogenetically-independent meta-analyses to assess the overall effects of anthropogenic land-use changes on pollination, and male and female fitness in terrestrial plants. KEY RESULTS: We found negative global effects of land use change (i.e., mainly habitat loss and fragmentation) on pollination and on female and male fitness of terrestrial flowering plants. Negative effects were stronger in plants with self-incompatibility (SI) systems and pollinated by invertebrates, regardless of life form and sexual expression. Pollination and female fitness of pollination generalist and specialist plants were similarly negatively affected by land-use change, whereas male fitness of specialist plants showed no effects. CONCLUSIONS: Our findings indicate that angiosperm populations remaining in fragmented habitats negatively affect pollination, and female and male fitness, which will likely decrease the recruitment, survival, and long-term viability of plant populations remaining in fragmented landscapes. We underline the main current gaps of knowledge for future research agendas and call out not only for a decrease in the current rates of land-use changes across the world but also to embark on active restoration efforts to increase the area and connectivity of remaining natural habitats.

A scaling law for the osmotic pressure of quasi-two-dimensional polymer melts as a function of concentration is obtained, which shows fractal characteristics. Structural properties such as the chains' contour length and their inner-monomer pair distribution function display fractal scaling properties as well. These predictions are confirmed with mesoscale numerical simulations. The chains are swollen and highly entangled, yet Flory's exponent is always ν = 1/2. The melt can be considered a fluid of "blobs" whose size becomes renormalized in terms of the contour's length while the fractal dimension df increases monotonically between 5/4 and 2, as the monomer concentration is increased. The semidilute scaling of the pressure is recovered when df = 1. Our results agree with recent experiments and with numerical reports on quasi-2d melts. This work provides a new paradigm to study and interpret thermodynamic and structural data in low-dimensional polymer melts, namely as fractal macromolecular objects.

BACKGROUND: Evidence on early closure (EC) of defunctioning stoma (DS) after colorectal surgery shows a favorable effect when patients are carefully selected. Therefore, a clinical pathway adapted to the implementation of an EC strategy was developed in our center. The aim of this study was to carry out a comparative analysis of time until DS closure and DS-related morbidity before and after the implementation of an EC protocol (ECP). METHODS: This study is a before-and-after comparative analysis. Patients were divided into two cohorts according to the observational period: patients from the period before the ECP implementation (January 2015-December 2019) [Period 1] and those from the period after that (January 2020-December 2022) [Period 2]. All consecutive patients subjected to elective DS closure within both periods were eligible. Early closure was defined as the reversal within 30 days from DS creation. Patients excluded from EC or those not closed within 30 days since primary surgery were analyzed as late closure (LC). Baseline characteristics and DS-related morbidity were recorded. RESULTS: A total of 145 patients were analyzed. Median time with DS was shorter in patients after ECP implementation [42 (21-193) days versus 233 (137-382) days, p < 0.001]. This reduction in time to closure did not impact the DS closure morbidity and resulted in less DS morbidity (68.8% versus 49.2%, p = 0.017) and fewer stoma nurse visits (p = 0.029). CONCLUSIONS: The ECP was able to significantly reduce intervals to restoration of bowel continuity in patients with DS, which in turn resulted in a direct impact on the reduction of DS morbidity without negatively affecting DS closure morbidity.

OBJECTIVE: To present the functional results obtained and the possible surgical difficulties after the surgical treatment of Dupuytren's disease (DD) recurrence in patients previously treated with Clostridium histolyticum (CCH) collagenase. MATERIALS AND METHODS: In this prospective study, 178 patients with DD were treated with CCH from 2011 to 2018; During long-term postoperative follow-up, 34 patients (19.1%) had recurrence of DD. In all patients injected in the IFP the disease recurred; In patients injected in the MCP, recurrence was highest in grade III and IV of the Tubiana classification, with involvement of the 5th finger and the two-finger Y-chord. Fourteen patients (7,8%) required surgery by partial selective fasciectomy due to recurrence of cord DD infiltration. The clinical and functional results of the patients, the difficulty of the surgical technique and the anatomopathological analysis of the infiltrated cords were evaluated in comparison with those of cords and patients who had had no previous CCH treatment. RESULTS: In all patients, cord rupture was achieved after injection, reducing joint contracture. In 14 patients, we observed during the follow-up the existence of DD recurrence that required surgical treatment by selective partial fasciectomy. There were no major difficulties in surgery and good clinical and functional results at 6 months of follow-up. The anatomopathological study of the resected tissue did not present histological alterations with respect to the samples obtained from patients initially treated by selective partial fasciectomy. CONCLUSIONS: Selective fasciectomy after CCH injection does not lead to important operative difficulties, as long as the CCH injection is performed according to the recommendations. There were no histological changes in the tissue after CCH injection. LEVEL OF EVIDENCE: III.

Primary central nervous system lymphomas (PCNSLs) classically remain confined within the CNS throughout their evolution for unknown reasons. Our objective was to analyse the rare extracerebral relapses of PCNSL in a nationwide population-based study. We retrospectively selected PCNSL patients who experienced extracerebral relapse during their follow-up from the French LOC database. Of the 1968 PCNSL included in the database from 2011, 30 (1.5%, median age 71 years, median KPS 70) presented an extracerebral relapse, either pure (n = 20) or mixed (both extracerebral and in the CNS) (n = 10), with a histological confirmation in 20 cases. The median delay between initial diagnosis and systemic relapse was 15.5 months [2-121 months]. We found visceral (n = 23, 77%), including testis in 5 (28%) men and breast in 3 (27%) women, lymph node (n = 12, 40%), and peripheral nervous system (PNS) (n = 7, 23%) involvement. Twenty-seven patients were treated with chemotherapy, either with only systemic targets (n = 7) or mixed systemic and CNS targets (n = 20), 4 were consolidated by HCT-ASCT. After systemic relapse, the median progression-free survival and overall survival (OS) were 7 and 12 months, respectively. KPS > 70 and pure systemic relapses were significantly associated with higher OS. Extracerebral PCNSL relapses are rare, mainly extranodal, and frequently involve the testis, breast, and PNS. The prognosis was worse in mixed relapses. Early relapses raise the question of misdiagnosed occult extracerebral lymphoma at diagnostic workup that should systematically include a PET-CT. Paired tumour analysis at diagnosis/relapse would provide a better understanding of the underlying molecular mechanisms.

PREMISE: Habitat fragmentation negatively affects population size and mating patterns that directly affect progeny fitness and genetic diversity; however, little is known about the effects of habitat fragmentation on dioecious, wind pollinated trees. We assessed the effects of habitat fragmentation on population sex ratios, genetic diversity, gene flow, mating patterns, and early progeny vigor in the tropical dioecious tree, Brosimum alicastrum. METHODS: We conducted our study in three continuous and three fragmented forest sites in a Mexican tropical dry forest. We used eight microsatellite loci to characterize the genetic diversity, gene flow via pollen distances, and mean relatedness of progeny. We compared early progeny vigor parameters of seedlings growing under greenhouse conditions. RESULTS: Sex ratios did not deviate from 1:1 between habitat conditions except for one population in a fragmented habitat, which was female biased. The genetic diversity of adult trees and their offspring was similar in both habitat conditions. Pollen gene flow distances were similar across habitat types; however, paternity correlations were greater in fragmented than in continuous habitats. Germination rates did not differ between habitat conditions; however, progeny from fragmented habitats produced fewer leaves and had a lower foliar area, total height, and total dry biomass than progeny from continuous habitats. CONCLUSIONS: Changes in mating patterns because of habitat fragmentation have negative effects on early progeny vigor. We conclude that negative habitat fragmentation effects on mating patterns and early progeny vigor may be a serious threat to the long-term persistence of tropical dioecious trees.

The effective solid-liquid interfacial tension (SL-IFT) between pure liquids and rough solid surfaces is studied through coarse-grained simulations. Using the dissipative particle dynamics method, we design solid-liquid interfaces, confining a pure liquid between two explicit solid surfaces with different roughness degrees. The roughness of the solid phase is characterized by Wenzel's roughness factor and the effective SL-IFT is reported as a function of it also. Two solid-liquid systems, different from each other by their solid-liquid repulsion strength, are studied to measure the effects caused by the surface roughness on the calculation of . It is found that the roughness changes the structure of the liquid, which is observed in the first layer of liquid near the solid. These changes are responsible for the effective SL-IFT increase, as surface roughness increases. Although there is a predominance of surface roughness in the calculation of it is found that the effective SL-IFT is directly proportional to the magnitude of the solid-liquid repulsion strength. The insights provided by these simulations suggest that the increase of Wenzel's roughness factor increases the number of effective solid-liquid interactions between particles, yielding significant changes in the local values of the normal and tangential components of the pressure tensor.

Current climate change is disrupting biotic interactions and eroding biodiversity worldwide. However, species sensitive to aridity, high temperatures, and climate variability might find shelter in microclimatic refuges, such as leaf rolls built by arthropods. To explore how the importance of leaf shelters for terrestrial arthropods changes with latitude, elevation, and climate, we conducted a distributed experiment comparing arthropods in leaf rolls versus control leaves across 52 sites along an 11,790 km latitudinal gradient. We then probed the impact of short- versus long-term climatic impacts on roll use, by comparing the relative impact of conditions during the experiment versus average, baseline conditions at the site. Leaf shelters supported larger organisms and higher arthropod biomass and species diversity than non-rolled control leaves. However, the magnitude of the leaf rolls' effect differed between long- and short-term climate conditions, metrics (species richness, biomass, and body size), and trophic groups (predators vs. herbivores). The effect of leaf rolls on predator richness was influenced only by baseline climate, increasing in magnitude in regions experiencing increased long-term aridity, regardless of latitude, elevation, and weather during the experiment. This suggests that shelter use by predators may be innate, and thus, driven by natural selection. In contrast, the effect of leaf rolls on predator biomass and predator body size decreased with increasing temperature, and increased with increasing precipitation, respectively, during the experiment. The magnitude of shelter usage by herbivores increased with the abundance of predators and decreased with increasing temperature during the experiment. Taken together, these results highlight that leaf roll use may have both proximal and ultimate causes. Projected increases in climate variability and aridity are, therefore, likely to increase the importance of biotic refugia in mitigating the effects of climate change on species persistence.

BACKGROUND: Prolonged sedentary time is associated with an increased incidence of chronic disease including type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM2). Given that occupational sedentary time contributes significantly to the total amount of daily sedentariness, incorporating programmes to reduce occupational sedentary time in patients with chronic disease would allow for physical, mental and productivity benefits. The aim of this study is to evaluate the short-, medium- and long-term effectiveness of a mHealth programme for sitting less and moving more at work on habitual and occupational sedentary behaviour and physical activity in office staff with DM2. Secondary aims. To evaluate the effectiveness on glycaemic control and lipid profile at 6- and 12-month follow-up; anthropometric profile, blood pressure, mental well-being and work-related post-intervention outcomes at 3, 6 and 12 months. METHODS: Multicentre randomized controlled trial. A sample size of 220 patients will be randomly allocated into a control (n = 110) or intervention group (n = 110), with post-intervention follow-ups at 6 and 12 months. Health professionals from Spanish Primary Health Care units will randomly invite patients (18-65 years of age) diagnosed with DM2, who have sedentary office desk-based jobs. The control group will receive usual healthcare and information on the health benefits of sitting less and moving more. The intervention group will receive, through a smartphone app and website, strategies and real-time feedback for 13 weeks to change occupational sedentary behaviour. VARIABLES: (1) Subjective and objective habitual and occupational sedentary behaviour and physical activity (Workforce Sitting Questionnaire, Brief Physical Activity Assessment Tool, activPAL3TM); 2) Glucose, HbA1c; 3) Weight, height, waist circumference; 4) Total, HDL and LDL cholesterol, triglycerides; (5) Systolic, diastolic blood pressure; (6) Mental well-being (Warwick-Edinburgh Mental Well-being); (7) Presenteeism (Work Limitations Questionnaire); (8) Impact of work on employees´ health, sickness absence (6th European Working Conditions Survey); (9) Job-related mental strain (Job Content Questionnaire). Differences between groups pre- and post- intervention on the average value of the variables will be analysed. DISCUSSION: If the mHealth intervention is effective in reducing sedentary time and increasing physical activity in office employees with DM2, health professionals would have a low-cost tool for the control of patients with chronic disease. BACKGROUND: Neurofibromatosis type 2 (NF2) is a genetic disease characterized by the appearance of multiple tumours in the nervous system. Cutaneous lesions are common and may provide useful diagnostic and prognostic information, but they have not been widely studied. OBJECTIVES: To characterize cutaneous lesions in a Spanish cohort of patients with NF2 and investigate associations with clinical and genetic severity. METHODS: We studied the clinical and histologic characteristics of cutaneous lesions in 49 patients with NF2 and analysed correlations with phenotype- and genotype-based severity scores. We collected information on the presence/absence of cutaneous lesions, location, age at onset, type of lesion, and histologic features. We also studied level of systemic involvement and genetic mutations involved. RESULTS: Forty-nine patients (31 women [63.3%] and 18 men [36.7%]) were analysed, and 33 (67.3%) had cutaneous lesions presumed to be schwannomas. According to their clinical form, they were distributed as follows: 24 patients (48%) had deep tumours, 21 (42%) had plaque-like lesions, and 3 (6%) had superficial tumours. Histologic examination from 27 lesions analysed out 23 patients showed classic schwannoma or hybrid schwannoma-neurofibroma features in the 8 deep tumours biopsied and plexiform schwannoma features in the 17 plaque-like lesions and the 2 superficial tumours analysed. Early onset (first 2 decades of life) was reported by all patients with plaques and superficial tumours. In our cohort, 100% of the patients with plaque-like lesions and superficial tumours with microscopic features of plexiform schwannoma were in the 2 groups with the most severe clinical phenotypes, and 82.6% of them were in the 3 most severe genotype-based classes. CONCLUSIONS AND RELEVANCE: Cutaneous lesions, specially plexiform schwannomas, are common in NF2, and they usually appear at an early age providing useful diagnostic and prognostic information. These tumours are part of the spectrum of cutaneous manifestations in this disease. Although its diagnostic and prognostic value has been pointed out, there are few studies focussed on their analysis.

Infection may cause some insects to increase their body temperature to deal against pathogens successfully. However, one unclear aspect is whether females may use male temperature to discriminate sick from healthy partners. We tested this by using Tenebrio molitor beetles whose females use the intensity of male antennal and leg stroking that take place during mating, to discriminate among partners. We predicted that females will not choose males that are too hot and/or will penalize these male partners in terms of a reduced egg number and hatching success. We manipulated males by infecting them with an entomopathogenic fungus, and exposed these males versus control males to females. Infected and non-infected males increased their temperature during copulation but females did not choose on the basis of male's temperature or infection status. However, females laid fewer eggs and/or had a reduced hatching success after mating with infected males that had a body temperature higher than ca. 24 °C. We postulate that male temperature is another source of information involved in postcopulatory mate choice that, along with courtship traits, compose a multimodal signaling system.

Disturbance (e.g. loss of plant cover) increases ambient temperature which can be lethal for ectotherm insects especially in hot places. We compared the thorax temperatures of 26 odonate species as a function of body size, habitat quality ("conserved" and cooler vs "perturbed" and warmer) and suborder (Anisoptera vs Zygoptera), as well as critical thermal maximum (CTmax) and as a function of habitat quality in Argia pulla (Zygoptera) and Orthemis ferruginea (Anisoptera). We expected thorax temperatures to differ between suborders based on their differences in body size and habitat quality status, and that populations in perturbed sites would have higher critical thermal maxima compared to those in conserved sites. This study was done in a tropical region with high ambient temperatures. Anisopterans had a higher body temperature than zygopterans, with no difference between habitats. Thoracic and air temperature were positively related, yet body temperatures were higher than the ambient temperature. A. pulla had higher CTmax in the perturbed sites, while O. ferruginea showed the opposite trend. Microenvironmental changes increase the ambient temperature, perhaps filtering insect species. The apparent resilience of odonates to disturbance should be examined more closely (using more species), especially in small species like the zygopterans which appear to be more strongly affected by ambient temperature.

Up to 40% of Pheochromocytoma/paraganglioma syndromes are associated with germline mutations. Therefore, they are considered familial and heritable. We report a 65 year old woman with hypertension, bilateral adrenal nodules found in the CT scan and elevated urinary metanephrines. Her genetic testing showed a c.117_120delGTCT TMEM127 gene mutation. She was subjected to a laparoscopic bilateral adrenal excision. After five years of follow up, no recurrence of the disease has been recorded.

Purpose: To determine the time of procedure, the value of modified Thrombolysis in Cerebral Infarction and National Institute Health of Stroke Scale as predictors of the functional results of patients with stroke treated with mechanical thrombectomy by aspiration.Methods: Observational, analytical, and retrospective case series analysis of consecutive patients with internal carotid and cerebral media branch occlusions. Clinical outcome was measured with the modified Rankin Scale at 90 days after stroke. To analyze the differences between groups, the Chi2 test was used for the qualitative variables.Results: The sample size was 58 patients treated with thrombectomy by aspiration. We observed that the thrombectomy time determines the recanalization results; meanwhile, modified Thrombolysis in Cerebral Infarction is a predictor of modified Rankin Scale at discharge but not after 3 months. National Institute Health of Stroke Scale was determinant for modified Rankin Scale result.Conclusions: Mechanical thrombectomy by aspiration proves to be an effective treatment of acute stroke, improving the patient's vital and functional prognosis. The thrombectomy time is a predictor of the result in relation to the degree of recanalization determined by the modified Thrombolysis in Cerebral Ischemia. Also, the degree of recanalization predicts functional outcome at discharge but not at 3 months.

DNA methylation-based machine learning algorithms represent powerful diagnostic tools that are currently emerging for several fields of tumour classification. For various reasons, paediatric brain tumours have been the main driving forces behind this rapid development and brain tumour classification tools are likely further advanced than in any other field of cancer diagnostics. In this review, we will discuss the main characteristics that were important for this rapid advance, namely the high clinical need for improvement of paediatric brain tumour diagnostics, the robustness of methylated DNA and the consequential possibility to generate high-quality molecular data from archival formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded pathology specimens, the implementation of a single array platform by most laboratories allowing data exchange and data pooling to an unprecedented extent, as well as the high suitability of the data format for machine learning. We will further discuss the four most central output qualities of DNA methylation profiling in a diagnostic setting (tumour classification, tumour sub-classification, copy number analysis and guidance for additional molecular testing) individually for the most frequent types of paediatric brain tumours. Lastly, we will discuss DNA methylation profiling as a tool for the detection of new paediatric brain tumour classes and will give an overview of the rapidly growing family of new tumours identified with the aid of this technique.

Pexophagy is a peroxisome degradation process. The last two steps of penicillin biosynthesis in Penicillium rubens are carried out in peroxisomes. These organelles proliferate in large numbers during this process, so that after the penicillin secretion, their removal is essential as a regulatory mechanism. In this work, two pexophagy modes are described for the high-penicillin producing strain P. rubens P2-32-T, by transmission electron microscopy (TEM) on 24- and 48-h cultures (when maximum penicillin production is achieved). The obtained images show peroxisome phagocytosis by vacuoles in three different ways: macropexophagy, micropexophagy, and a new proposed model: unipexophagy.

Microsatellite markers are a useful genetic tool to answer ecological and conservation genetics questions. Microsatellite primers were developed and characterized to evaluate forest fragmentation effects on genetic structure, diversity and gene flow patterns in the dioecious tropical tree Astroniumgraveolens (Anacardiaceae). Using genomic library enrichment, sixteen microsatellite loci were developed for A.graveolens. Polymorphism was evaluated in 80 individuals from four localities in Mexico. The overall number of alleles detected was 63, average alleles per locus 3.9 with a range from one to 11 per locus. Cross amplification trails on related species in the Anacardiaceae family: Spondiaspurpurea and Amphipterygiumadstringens, achieved successful amplification for all primers. Microsatellite markers described here are the first to be characterized for A.graveolens. These genetic markers will be a useful tool to assess the genetic consequences of habitat fragmentation and selective logging on A.graveolens populations. Cross amplification success on S.purpureaandA.adstringens suggest that they may be used for population genetic studies in other species within the family.

This study examined the relationship between consumers' country of origin: Denmark (DK), the United Kingdom (UK), and the United States (US) and their knowledge and perceptions of milk fat. Adult participants answered a web-based survey, and data were collected online from December 2018 to April 2019, in DK, the UK, and the US. A total of 694 participants completed the online survey. Most respondents were between 18 and 39 years old, female, highly educated, and employed. Most UK respondents consumed milk daily (73%), whereas in DK (56%) and the US (46%) consumption was significantly lower. Whole milk and semi-skim milk were consumed less by respondents in DK (20 and 36%, respectively) compared with the UK (50 and 49%, respectively) and the US (47 and 50%, respectively). Danish respondents (53%) consumed more skim milk than respondents from the UK (16%) and the US (19%). Concern about milk fat was higher in DK (60%) than in the UK (34%) and the US (31%). More respondents considered milk fat to be "healthy" or "very healthy" in the UK (31 and 10%, respectively) and the US (37 and 19%, respectively), than in DK (23 and 6%, respectively). Nutritional benefit was the most important reason for perceiving milk fat as healthy in the 3 countries. Awareness of milk saturated fat was higher among respondents from the UK (53%) than from DK (44%) and the US (38%). Results suggest that consumers in DK are different in their perceptions of milk fat, but consumers in the UK and the US share common characteristics.

INTRODUCTION AND OBJECTIVES: Although food allergy is recognized as a growing worldwide public health problem, there continues to be limited data on prevalence rates in developing and emerging countries. Most prevalence estimates are based on self-reports, with only few studies using objective assessments. The aim was to analyze the frequency of sensitization to food allergens by serum specific IgE in a large group of unselected allergic patients in Mexico. MATERIALS AND METHODS: We analyzed data registries from patients of all ages with suspected food allergy referred to a specialized laboratory in Mexico City from January 2016 to April 2018. A descriptive analysis, and an age/food-group comparison were made. RESULTS: A total of 2633 subjects tested for food allergy were identified during the study period; 1795 subjects fulfilled the inclusion criteria. The overall positivity (sIgE≥0.35kUA/L) to at least one food was 24%. The most frequently positive foods were hazelnut, apple, shrimp, peanut, egg white, egg yolk, peach, almond, tomato, bean, milk, strawberry, kiwi, maize and wheat. Positivity for some foods was more frequent across different age groups, in young children (≤5 years) milk; in older children (6-17 years): peanut, almond, wheat, soy and maize; in adults: apple. We also found other foods with high positivity but less than 50 samples: rye 60%, mango 42.9%, carrot 37.5%, cashew 27.3%, banana 21.1% and oat 20.6%. CONCLUSION: Our study reported the presence of a differential regional IgE sensitization pattern as compared with the internationally reported one, highlighting the importance of local staple foods.

Transcranial Doppler (TCD) ultrasound is a standard tool used in the setting of recent sub-arachnoid hemorrhage (SAH). By tracking velocity in the circle-of-Willis vessels, vasospasm can be detected as interval velocity increase. For this disease process, repeated TCD velocity measurements over many days is the basis for its usefulness. However, a key limitation to TCD is its user dependence, which is itself largely due to the fact that exact information about probe positioning is lost between subsequent scans. Surface point cloud ultrasound (SPC-US) was recently introduced as a general approach combining ultrasound and three-dimensional surface imaging of patient + probe. In the present proof-of-principle demonstration, we have applied SPC-US to TCD and co-registered the skin surface with that from MRA images to provide a roadmap of the vasculature in 3D space for better speed, accuracy, reproducibility, and potential semi-automation of TCD. Collating the acronyms, we call the combined approach SPC-US-TCD. TCD of the M1 was obtained while three-dimensional photographic images were obtained with the Structure Sensor camera. MRA imaging was also obtained. SPC-US-TCD and corresponding MRA 3D reconstruction images were co-registered in MeshMixer using the skin surfaces for alignment. A cylinder the width of the TCD probe was placed over the fused images and aligned with the direction and orientation of the TCD probe to demonstrate the acoustic beam. In the fused images, the acoustic beam intersects the right M1 segment of the middle cerebral artery (MCA). The angle of insonation is well demonstrated and measurable in various planes. Distance measurements made in Blender localized the TCD probe position based on three skin surface landmarks, and tabulated orientation based on three angles along the corresponding directions. SPC-US-TCD provides valuable information that is otherwise not present in TCD studies. By co-registering SPC-US-TCD data with that from cross sectional vessel imaging, precise probe location relative to external skin surface landmarks as well as 3D vessel location relative to TCD probe placement offers the potential to provide a roadmap that improves exam reproducibility, speed of acquisition, and accuracy. The goal of future work is to demonstrate this improvement statistically by application to multiple patients and scans.
