RESUMEN
BACKGROUND: The aim was to validate the correlation between corneal shape parameters and axial length growth (ALG) during orthokeratology using Image-Pro Plus (IPP) 6.0 software. METHODS: This retrospective study used medical records of myopic children aged 8-13 years (n = 104) undergoing orthokeratology. Their corneal topography and axial length were measured at baseline and subsequent follow-ups after lens wear. Corneal shape parameters, including the treatment zone (TZ) area, TZ diameter, TZ fractal dimension, TZ radius ratio, eccentric distance, pupil area, and pupillary peripheral steepened zone(PSZ) area, were measured using IPP software. The impact of corneal shape parameters at 3 months post-orthokeratology visit on 1.5-year ALG was evaluated using multivariate linear regression analysis. RESULTS: ALG exhibited significant associations with age, TZ area, TZ diameter, TZ fractal dimension, and eccentric distance on univariate linear regression analysis. Multivariate regression analysis identified age, TZ area, and eccentric distance as significantly correlated with ALG (all P < 0.01), with eccentric distance showing the strongest correlation (ß = -0.370). The regressive equation was y = 1.870 - 0.235a + 0.276b - 0.370c, where y represents ALG, a represents age, b represents TZ area, and c represents eccentric distance; R2 = 0.27). No significant relationships were observed between the TZ radius ratio, pupillary PSZ area, and ALG. CONCLUSIONS: IPP software proves effective in capturing precise corneal shape parameters after orthokeratology. Eccentric distance, rather than age or the TZ area, significantly influences ALG retardation.

Objective: To analyze the clinical data of a case of lung adenocarcinoma with Epidermal growth factor receptor tyrosine kinase inhibitors (EGFR-TKIs) resistance transforming into sarcoma, and to conduct a literature review to improve the understanding of the resistance mechanism. Histological transformation is a unique form of acquired resistance of EGFR-TKIs in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Thereinto, the transformation of small cell carcinoma is more common, and the transformation of sarcoma is rarely reported. Methods: Clinicopathological data on the treatment process, pathological features, and clinical outcome of the patient with EGFR-TKIs-resistance lung adenocarcinoma transforming into sarcoma were collected. The literature was reviewed to analyze the pathogenetic mechanism for sarcomatoid carcinoma or sarcoma transformation after drug resistance of adenocarcinoma, as well as the clinical characteristics of the patients and the corresponding therapeutic schemes. Results: We reported a patient with lung adenocarcinoma who developed EGFR-T790M mutation after first-line treatment with icotinib and sarcoma transformation after second-line treatment with almonertinib. Chemotherapy, radioactive particle implantation, antiangiogenic therapy and immunotherapy were followed, but the results were unsatisfactory. There was no report of EGFR-TKIs-resistant lung adenocarcinoma transforming into sarcoma. Among the 14 reports of adenocarcinoma transforming into sarcomatoid carcinoma, 8 cases had EGFR mutation, 3 cases had ALK mutation, 2 cases had ROS1 mutation, and 1 case had no asscoiated sensitive mutation. The median survival of 14 patients with adenocarcinoma transforming to sarcomatoid carcinoma was only 3 months. Conclusions: Sarcoma transformation can be one of the forms of drug resistance in patients with lung adenocarcinoma with EGFR-TKIs. The prognosis of patients with adenocarcinoma after transformation into sarcoma is poor.

Objective: To investigate the relationships between molecular types of the cancer genome atlas (TCGA) of patients with endometrial carcinoma (EC) and lymph node metastasis and other clinicopathological features. Methods: The clinical pathological information of 295 patients with EC who underwent initial inpatient surgical treatment and accepted the detection of the molecular types of TCGA with next-generation sequencing technology at Peking University People's Hospital were collected during April 2016 and May 2022. The TCGA molecular typing of EC was divided into four types: POLE-ultramutated (15 cases), high microsatellite instability (MSI-H; 50 cases), copy-number low (CNL; 175 cases), and copy-number high (CNH; 55 cases). The differences of clinical pathological features among different molecular types and the risk factors of lymph node metastasis were analyzed retrospectively. Results: Among 295 patients with EC, the average age was (56.9±0.6) years. (1) There was a statistically significant difference in lymph node metastasis (0, 8.0%, 10.3% and 25.5%) among the four molecular types (χ2=12.524, P=0.006). There were significant differences in age, stage, pathological type, grade (only endometrioid carcinoma), myometrium invasion, lymphatic vascular space infiltration, and estrogen receptor among the EC patients of four molecular types (all P<0.05). Among them, while in the patients with CNH type, the pathological grade was G3, the pathological type was non-endometrioid carcinoma, and the proportion of myographic infiltration depth ≥1/2 were higher (all P<0.05). (2) Univariate analysis suggested that pathological type, grade, myometrium infiltration depth, cervical interstitial infiltration, lymphatic vascular space infiltration, and progesterone receptor were all factors which significantly influence lymph node metastasis (all P<0.01); multivariate analysis suggested that the lymphatic vascular space infiltration was an independent risk factor for lymph node metastasis (OR=5.884, 95%CI: 1.633-21.211; P=0.007). (3) The factors related to lymph node metastasis were different in patients with different molecular types. In the patients with MSI-H, the non-endometrioid carcinoma of pathological type was independent risk factor for lymph node metastasis (OR=29.010, 95%CI: 2.067-407.173; P=0.012). In the patients with CNL, myometrium infiltration depth≥1/2 (OR=4.995, 95%CI: 1.225-20.376; P=0.025), lymphatic vascular space infiltration (OR=14.577, 95%CI: 3.603-58.968; P<0.001) were the independent risk factors for lymph node metastasis. While in the CNH type patients pathological type of non-endometrioid carcinoma (OR=7.451, 95%CI: 1.127-49.281; P=0.037), cervical interstitial infiltration (OR=22.938, 95%CI: 1.207-436.012; P=0.037), lymphatic vascular space infiltration (OR=9.404, 95%CI: 1.609-54.969; P=0.013), were the independent risk factors for lymph node metastasis. Conclusions: POLE-ultramutated EC patients have the lowest risk of lymph node metastasis, and CNH patients have the highest risk of lymph node metastasis. The risk factors of lymph node metastasis of different molecular types are different. According to preoperative pathological and imaging data, lymph node metastasis is more likely to occur in patients with non-endometrioid carcinoma in MSI-H and CNH type patients, and lymph node metastasis is more likely to occur in patients with myometrium infiltration depth ≥1/2 in CNL type patients.

Objective: To investigate the efficacy of Femtosecond laser-assisted stromal lenticule addition keratoplasty (SLAK) combined with corneal collagen cross-linking (CXL) in the treatment of middle and advanced Keratoconus. Methods: It was a retrospective case series study. Data of 23 cases (24 eyes) of keratoconus treated with femtosecond laser-assisted SLAK combined with CXL in Laser Vision Centre of Xi'an No.1 Hospital from September 2020 to June 2022 were collected, including 16 males and 7 females, aged (23.69±5.18) years. The thickness, diopter number and diameter of the donor corneal stromal lens were assessed. uncorrected visual acuity (UCVA), best corrected visual acuity (BCVA), and diopter were recorded before and 1, 3, and 6 months after surgery. Sirius 3D fault corneal topography instrument to measure flat simulated keratometry (Kf), steep simulated keratometry (Ks) and the difference between them (ΔK), as well as central corneal thickness (CCT) and corneal high-order aberration. Results: Six months after surgery, CCT (454.83±50.01) µm were significantly higher than before (384.92±35.45) µm (P<0.05). Six months after surgery, UCVA (1.41±0.32) was significantly lower than before (1.11±0.33)(P<0.05). Six months after surgery, spherical diopter [(-15.73±7.89) D], Kf [(56.82±4.76) D] and Ks [(61.00±4.70) D] were significantly higher than before [(-12.08±5.99) D, (53.55±4.95) D, (58.65±5.10) D] (P<0.05). There was no significant difference in BCVA, column mirror degree and higher order aberrations before and 6 months after surgery(P>0.05). No corneal stromal lens folds, melting and displacement were observed in all eyes during the follow-up period, and no corneal opacity or immune rejection was observed. Conclusions: femtosecond laser-assisted SLAK combined with CXL can significantly increase the corneal thickness of keratoconus and has good effectiveness. In addition, six months of postoperative follow-up of patients showed no significant changes in BCVA and high-order aberrations in the 6 mm central diameter of the cornea, and no postoperative adverse reaction were found in all eyes, indicating that the operation has certain safety.

The interplay between various symmetries and electronic bands topology is one of the core issues for topological quantum materials. Spontaneous magnetism, which leads to the breaking of time-reversal symmetry, has been proven to be a powerful approach to trigger various exotic topological phases. In this Letter, utilizing the combination of angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy, magneto-optical Kerr effect microscopy, and first-principles calculations, we present the direct evidence on the realization of the long-sought spontaneous ferromagnetism induced topological transition in soft ferromagnetic EuB_{6}. Explicitly, we reveal the topological transition is from Z_{2}=1 topological insulator in paramagnetic state to χ=1 magnetic topological semimetal in low temperature ferromagnetic state. Our results demonstrate that the simple band structure near the Fermi level and rich topological phases make EuB_{6} an ideal platform to study the topological phase physics.
RESUMEN
Objective: To investigate the association between sleep duration and activity of daily living (ADL) in the elderly aged 65 years and older in China. Methods: A total of 11 247 subjects aged 65 and above were included in the Chinese Elderly Health Factors Tracking Survey from March 29, 2005 to April 8, 2019. Self-made questionnaire was used to collect the data of population sociological characteristics, health status and disease status. ADL status was assessed by basic activities of daily living. The association between sleep duration and ADL impairment was assessed by Cox proportional risk regression model. The dose-response relationship between sleep duration and ADL impairment was analyzed using restricted cubic spline function. Results: The age of the subjects was (79±10) years, including 5 793(51.5%) females. The incidence of ADL impairment was 33.3% (3 747/11 247). Subjects were divided into short, medium, and long sleep groups according to sleep duration of fewer than seven hours, seven to eight hours, or more than eight hours. The number of short, medium and long sleepers was 2 974 (26.4%), 4 922 (43.8%) and 3 351(29.8%), respectively. The intermediate sleep group had the lowest incidence of impaired ADL (4.98/100 person-years). Cox proportional risk regression model analysis showed that: taking the intermediate sleep group as reference, after adjustment of gender, age, marital status, educational level, place of residence, living with family, smoking, drinking, exercise, frequency of fruit consumption, vegetable intake frequency, sleep quality, factors such as hypertension, diabetes, heart disease and cerebrovascular disease, the long sleep time increased the risk of impaired ADL [HR (95%CI): 1.148 (1.062-1.241)]. Subgroup analysis showed a weak positive multiplicative interaction between sleep duration and age [HR (95%CI): 1.004 (1.000-1.009)], but no multiplicative interaction between sleep duration and sex [HR(95%CI): 0.948 (0.870-1.034)]. Longer sleep duration increased the risk of ADL impairment in women [HR (95%CI): 1.195 (1.074-1.329)], but not in men [HR (95%CI): 1.084 (0.966-1.217)]. Longer sleep duration increased the risk of ADL impairment in people aged 80 years and older [HR (95%CI): 1.185 (1.076-1.305)], but not in people younger than 80 years [HR (95%CI): 1.020 (0.890-1.169)]. There was a non-linear dose-response relationship between sleep duration and ADL damage (P=0.007), and the risk of ADL damage was lowest when sleep duration was 7.5 h. Conclusion: Sleep duration was positively correlated with the risk of ADL impairment in the elderly in a nonlinear dose-response relationship.

Objective: To investigate the molecular classification of endometrial carcinoma (EC) and atypical endometrial hyperplasia (AEH) treated with fertility-sparing therapy, and to analyze its relationship with clinicopathological factors and treatment efficacy. Methods: A total of 46 EC and AEH patients who received fertility-sparing therapy and molecular classification tested by next generation sequencing in Peking University People's Hospital from June 2020 to December 2021, were retrospectively collected. The relationships between molecular classification and clinicopathological factors and treatment outcomes were analyzed. Results: (1) Of the 46 patients, including 40 EC and 6 AEH patients, 32 cases (71%, 32/45) had complete response (CR) after treatment, with median CR time of 8 months, 6 cases (13%, 6/45) had partial response, and 8 cases (25%, 8/32) had recurrence. (2) The cases were distributed as no specific molecular profile (NSMP) 34 cases (74%, 34/46) subtype mainly, high microsatellite instability (MSI-H) 7 cases (15%, 7/46), POLE ultra-mutated 3 cases (7%, 3/46), and copy number high (CNH) 2 cases (4%, 2/46). Patients with CNH had the hightest serum cancer antigen 125 (CA125) level [(34.3±35.2) kU/L]. MSI-H subtype had more family history of tumors (6/7), more with loss of mismatch repair (MMR) protein expression by immunohistochemical (7/7), and higher nuclear antigen associated with cell proliferation (Ki-67) expression level (3/3). (3) Patients in MSI-H subgroup had the lowest CR rate at 6 months (0/6; P=0.019), and survival analysis showed that they were less likely to achieve CR than those with NSMP subtype (P=0.022). Subgroup analysis of patients with NSMP showed that age ≥30 years related with longer treatment time to CR (P=0.010). In addition, CR was obtained after treatment in 2/3 POLE ultra-mutated cases and 2/2 CNH, respectively. Conclusions: Molecular classification relates with the treatment response in patients with EC and AEH treated with fertility-sparing therapy. Patients with MSI-H subtype have poor treatment efficacy, and patients with NSMP need to be further studied and predict treatment benefit. However, there are few cases in POLE ultra-mutated and CNH subtypes, which need further clinical research.

MagR (IscA1) is a member of the iron-sulphur cluster assembly proteins, which plays vital roles in many physiological processes, such as energy metabolism, electron transfer, iron homeostasis, heme biosynthesis and physiologically magnetic response. Its deletion leads to the loss of mitochondrial DNA, inactivation of iron-sulphur proteins and abnormal embryonic development in organisms. However, the physiological roles of MagR in insects are unclear. This study characterized the effects and molecular regulatory mechanism of MagR gene silencing on the reproduction of brachypterous female adults of Nilaparvata lugens. After silencing the MagR gene using RNAi approach, the duration of reproductive period was shortened and the fecundity and hatchability reduced significantly. A total of 479 differentially expressed genes (DEGs) were identified for female adults after 2 days of dsRNA injection through RNA-sequencing technology, including 352 significantly upregulated DEGs and 127 significantly downregulated DEGs, among which 44 DEGs were considered the key genes involved in the effects of NlMagR silencing on the reproduction, revealing the regulatory mechanism of MagR at RNA transcription level and providing a new strategy for the control of N. lugens.

Objective: To observe the efficacy and safety of Kangbingdu granules (KBD) in the treatment of influenza. Methods: A multicenter, randomized, double-blind, double-dummy, and positive-drug parallel control trial was conducted in 27 Grade â ¢A hospitals in China and the subjects were randomly assigned to the KBD test group or the oseltamivir phosphate capsule control group at a ratio of 1â¶1. 200 subjects were planned to be enrolled in each group. The experimental group was given KBD (18g each time, 3 times a day) and oseltamivir phosphate simulator orally, while the control group was given oseltamivir phosphate capsule (75 mg each time, twice a day) and KBD simulator orally for 5 days. The primary efficacy indicators included the remission time of major clinical symptoms and the time of complete defervescence. The secondary efficacy indicators included dosage of acetaminophen, the change of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) syndrome score and the remission time of other important clinical symptoms. The efficacy of KBD in the test group and Oseltamivir phosphate control group were compared. Adverse events or adverse reactions were observed at the same time to evaluate the safety of KBD Granules. Results: A total of 393 subjects from 27 Grade â ¢A hospitals in China were enrolled. The experimental group included 195 subjects and 191 subjects (97.95%) completed the trial, While the control group included 198 subjects and 195 subjects (98.48%) completed the trial. There was no significant difference in the shedding rate and rejection rate between the two groups (P>0.05). In the Full Analysis Set (FAS), the mean age of the experimental group was (34.9±14.4) years old, with 83 males (42.78%). The mean age of the control group was (33.3±13.5) years old, with 78 males (39.59%). There were no statistically significant differences between the two groups in demographic data, physical examination, viral pathogen detection, total score of TCM syndromes and scores of each symptom at baseline (P>0.05). In the FAS, the remission time M (Q1, Q3) of major clinical symptoms was 3.0 (3.0, 4.0) days in the experimental group and 3.0 (3.0, 4.0) days in the control group, and the difference was not statistically significant (P>0.05). The time M (Q1, Q3) of complete defervescence was 34.0 (20.3, 49.0) hours in the experimental group and 36.5 (19.6, 48.8) hours in the control group, and the difference was not statistically significant (P>0.05). KBD granules had the same effect as Oseltamivir phosphate capsule (P>0.05) in terms of acetaminophen dosage, TCM syndrome effect and disappearance rate of most important clinical symptoms. Meanwhile, the disappearance rate of dizziness and chest distress on day 3 in the KBD granules group was better than that of oseltamivir phosphate capsule (P<0.05). Conclusion: KBD granules have the same efficacy as Oseltamivir Phosphate capsule in the treatment of influenza and the drug safety is good.

Objectives: To investigate the value of histopathological growth patterns (HGP) in predicting the 3-year progression free survival (PFS) after resection the liver metastasis from patients with colorectal cancer. Methods: The clinicopathological data of the 111 patients with liver metastasis of colorectal cancer diagnosed at Peking University People's Hospital, Beijing, China from January 2007 to January 2017 were analyzed. After excluding the patients who did not meet the inclusion criteria, a total of 80 patients were analyzed. According to the international expert consensus on HGP, the HGP types of liver metastasis were evaluated. The correlation between HGP and other clinicopathological factors was analyzed using χ2 or Fisher test. Kaplan-Meier survival curve was used to examine 3-year PFS in the patients with liver metastasis of colorectal cancer by HGP. The independent risk factors of 3-year post-resection PFS were determined using univariable and multivariable analyses. Results: A total of 80 cases were analyzed, including 43 cases of desmoplastic type (54%), 32 cases of replacement type (40%), 3 cases of pushing type (4%), and 2 cases of mixed type (2%). There was no correlation of HGP with age, gender, time of metastasis, tumor burden, histological grade, mucous differentiation or microsatellite instability. The 3-year post-resection PFS of the patients with desmoplastic type was significantly longer than that of patients with replacement type. The univariable and multivariable analyses showed that HGP was an independent prognostic factor. Conclusions: The HGP of colorectal cancer metastases to the liver mainly present as desmoplastic and replacement types. HGP is an independent prognostic factor for the patients with liver metastasis of colorectal cancer after resection of the metastasis. Therefore, HGP should be clearly indicated in the pathological report to help guide clinical treatments.

During the routine dissection of a cadaveric specimen, the left mylohyoid muscle was found to be innervated by both the trigeminal and hypoglossal nerves. This variation was found unilaterally. To our knowledge this dual innervation of the mylohyoid muscle is an extremely rare variation. The possibility of these variants may lead to clinical consequences such as anesthesia failure and iatrogenic injury during surgical procedures in this region. We discuss this anatomical variation and possible developmental etiologies.

Objective: To investigate the clinicopathological, immunohistochemical and molecular features of small round cell sarcoma (SRCS) of the bone and soft tissue, and to compare the diagnostic value of different techniques. Methods: Seventy-two cases of SRCS of the bone and soft tissue diagnosed at People's Hospital, Peking University from January 2016 to March 2020 were recruited and retrospectively analyzed for pathological morphology, immunophenotype and fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) data. Next generation sequencing (NGS) was performed on 13 difficult cases. Results: In the study cohort, the patients ranged in age from 4-55 years, with a male predominance. The most Ewing's sarcomas and osteosarcomas occurred in the bone, while CIC-rearranged sarcomas, BCOR-rearranged sarcoma, synovial sarcoma, extraskeletal myxoid chondrosarcoma and FUS-NFATc2 rearranged sarcoma occurred in soft tissue. Histologically, all cases were composed predominantly of small round cells. Most cases were positive for vimentin and CD99, and showed a variable reactivity for neurogenic markers. Muscle marker and epithelial marker were negative for most cases. Combined with clinical features, histopathologic findings, immunophenotype, FISH and NGS, we diagnosed 46 Ewing sarcomas, 14 osteosarcomas, 3 CIC-rearranged sarcomas, 1 BCOR-rearranged sarcoma, 1 synovial sarcoma, 1 clear cell soft tissue sarcoma, 1 extraskeletal myxoid chondrosarcoma, 1 FUS-NFATc2 rearranged sarcoma, and 4 undifferentiated small round cell sarcomas. Conclusions: SRCS of bone and soft tissue is a group of malignant mesenchymal tumors based on morphological features. Most cases can be diagnosed with a combination of clinical characteristics, morphological features and immunohistochemical phenotype, while some cases require such further tests as FISH and NGS technologies, and NGS can be useful in diagnosing and categorizing SRCS.

Objective: To explore the clinicopathological characteristics and genomic characteristics of four patients with epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR)-mutated advanced adenocarcinoma transformed into small-cell lung cancer. Methods: Four cases of EGFR-mutated advanced adenocarcinoma of the lung transformed into small-cell lung cancer were studied by clinical data, pathological morphology, immunohistochemistry and gene detection. Result: EGFR-mutated adenocarcinoma of the lung was heterogeneous in clinical and genomic profiles, of ten characterized by RB1, TP53 and PIK3CA mutations. Its transformation into small-cell lung cancer was a particularly aggressive mechanism of drug resistance, but the machanisms were not clear NSE and other tumor indicators had low diagnostic value for transformation. Conclusions: EGFR-mutated adenocarcinoma of the lung transformed into small-cell lung cancer was one of the reasons for EGFR resistance with avery poor prognosis.

All patients received catheter directed thrombolysis, and the thrombolysis process, complications and outcomes were analyzed. All patients received IVC balloon angioplasty after thrombolytic therapy. The t test, χ2 test, Mann-Whitney U test were used for univariate analysis of the prognosis factors of thrombolysis effects, while unconditional Logistic regression model were used for multivariate analysis. Results: In the 67 patients, 47 cases succerssed in thrombolytic therapy. The successful rates of thrombolysis at 1-, 2-, 3- and 4-week were 9.0%, 29.9%, 64.2% and 70.1%, respectively. The rates of thrombolytic catheter-related infection at 1-, 2-, 3- and 4-week were 1.5%, 4.5%, 14.9% and 31.3%, respectively. No serious complications such as symptomatic and acute pulmonary embolism occurred during perioperative period of IVC balloon angioplasty. Univariate analysis showed that differences in thrombus length ((36.7±18.1) mm vs. (52.0±16.4) mm, t=-3.234, P=0.002), Child-Pugh classification (class A/B/C: 37/8/2 vs. 10/8/2, Z=-2.310, P=0.021) and pre-opening IVC proportion (68.1% (32/47) vs. 35.0% (7/20), χ²=6.313, P=0.012) were statistically significant. The thrombus length (OR=0.948, 95%CI: 0.913 to 0.984, P=0.005), pre-opening IVC (OR=5.451, 95%CI: 1.469 to 20.228, P=0.011) were independent prognosis factors of thrombolytic effect. Conclusions: Thrombolytic therapy for B-CS with IVC thrombosis were satisfactory, and the thrombolysis duration should be confined within 3 weeks. IVC balloon angioplasty is safe and effective for patients failing in thrombolysis, and pre-opening IVC is an important method to improve the thrombolytic effect.

Objective: To investigate the effect of neuregulin-1(NRG-1) on cardiac glucose metabolism in Sprague Dawley (SD) rats with experimental myocardial infarction (MI). Methods: Adult male SD rats were randomly divided into three groups: the sham-operated group, MI group, and MI+NRG1 group. The rat MI model was established via ligation of the left anterior descending coronary artery. Two weeks after operation, echocardiography was performed, MI rats with left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) between 0.3-0.5 were selected and randomly assigned to MI group and MI+NRG-1 group. Rats in MI+NRG-1 group were treated with recombinant human NRG-1ß (100 µg/kg) via tail vein at 2 weeks after operation (twice per week for 6 weeks); while rats in sham-operated group and MI group received equal volume of physiological saline. By the end of administration, echocardiography and small animal positron emission tomography (PET) were performed to detect cardiac function and myocardial glucose uptake. Myocardial morphology and collagen volume fraction, cardiomyocyte apoptosis and reactive oxygen species (ROS) production were evaluated by histopathologic analysis. Myocardial pyruvate dehydrogenase (PDH) and citrate synthase (CS) activity, as well as ATP production were detected by commercial kits. The mRNA and protein expression levels of NRG-1, p-ErbB4, and key factors involved in glucose metabolism (including Glut-4, HK2, PDK4, PDH, CS) were detected by quantitative real-time PCR (qRT-PCR) and Western blot assay, respectively. Results: With the MI model successfully established, the left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF) and left ventricular shortening fraction(LVFS) were significantly lower in MI group and MI+NRG-1 group than that in sham group (both P<0.01), while there was no significant difference between MI group and MI+NRG-1 group(all P>0.05). After 6 weeks of NRG-1ß intervention, the LVEF and LVFS were significantly higher in MI+NRG-1 group than in MI group (both P<0.01). By the end of experiment, PET imaging showed that the mean standardized uptake value (SUVmean) were lower in MI+NRG-1 group than in the sham group (4.06±0.28 vs. 5.18±0.37, P<0.01), while significantly higher than that in MI group (4.06±0.28 vs.2.86±0.49, P<0.01). Histopathological analysis showed that compared with MI group, rats in MI+NRG-1 group exhibited significantly decreased left ventricle collagen volume fraction ((7.83±1.24) % vs. (18.31±3.58) %, P<0.01), cardiomyocyte apoptosis((37.98±4.26)% vs. (67.04±5.38)%, P<0.01), and DHE fluorescence intensity(0.057 28±0.007 06 vs. 0.076 94±0.008 46, P<0.01), indicating that NRG-1ß could reduce ROS production. PDH activity, CS activity, and ATP production were significantly higher in MI+NRG-1 group than in MI group (all P<0.05). qRT-PCR demonstrated an upregulated Glut-4, HK2 and CS, but downregulated PDK4 mRNA expression in MI+NRG-1 group compared with MI group (all P<0.01). Western blot assay showed significantly higher protein expression of NRG-1, p-ErbB4, Glut-4, HK2, PDH, CS in MI+NRG-1 group than in MI group (all P<0.01). Conclusion: NRG-1 could improve glucose uptake and utilization in myocardium by activating phosphorylation of myocardial ErbB4 receptor in MI rats, thus providing a therapeutic option for improving energy metabolism after MI.

The vacuum ultraviolet beamline BL03U with a photon energy range from 7â eV upwards has been constructed at the 3.5â GeV Shanghai Synchrotron Radiation Facility. Equipped with an APPLE-Knot undulator, this beamline is dedicated to angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy. An energy-resolving power of higher than 4.6â ×â 104 has been achieved in the photon energy range 21.6-48â eV, which is almost the same as the theoretical estimation.
RESUMEN
Topological nodal-line semimetals with exotic quantum properties are characterized by symmetry-protected line-contact bulk band crossings in the momentum space. However, in most of identified topological nodal-line compounds, these topological nontrivial nodal lines are enclosed by complicated topological trivial states at the Fermi energy (E_{F}), which would perplex their identification and hinder further applications. Utilizing angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy and first-principles calculations, we provide compelling evidence for the existence of Dirac nodal-line fermions in the monoclinic semimetal SrAs_{3}, which possesses a simple nodal loop in the vicinity of E_{F} without the distraction from complicated trivial Fermi surfaces. Our calculations revealed that two bands with opposite parities were inverted around Y near E_{F}, resulting in the single nodal loop at the Γ-Y-S plane with a negligible spin-orbit coupling effect. The band crossings were tracked experimentally and the complete nodal loop was identified quantitatively, which provide a critical experimental support for the existence of nodal-line fermions in the CaP_{3} family of materials. Hosting simple topological nontrivial bulk electronic states around E_{F} and without complication from the trivial states, SrAs_{3} is expected to be a potential platform for topological quantum state investigation and applications.
RESUMEN
Objective: To investigate the efficacy and pregnancy outcome of fertility-preserving treatment for patients with stage â a, grade 2 endometrial cancer (EC). Methods: Clinical data was retrospectively collected for EC or atypical endometrial hyperplasia (AEH) patients treated in Peking University People's Hospital, Foshan First People's Hospital of Guangdong Province and First Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University, from 2010 to 2019. Inclusion criteria for fertility-preserving treatment included: (1) Age ≤45 years. (2) EC with histological differentiation of G(1), G(2) or endometrial AEH. (3) EC disease should be stage â a, confined to the endometrium without myometrial invasion, lymph node or extrauterine metastasis. Treatment regimen: patients were given oral progestin therapy and endometrial pathology was evaluated every three months. Patients were divided into three groups as G(2) EC group, G(1) EC group and AEH group based on the histological differentiation. Oncological and pregnancy outcomes were compared among them. Results: (1) Totally 57 eligible patients were included in this study, including 11 cases with G(2) EC, 22 cases with G(1) EC, and 24 cases with AEH. (2) Oncological outcome: among the three groups of G(2) EC, G(1) EC and AH, the complete remission rates (9/11, 91% and 96%, respectively) and recurrence rates (3/9, 30% and 22%, respectively) were not significantly different (all P>0.05). Median remission time was significantly longer in the G(2) EC group than those in the other two groups (8, 6 and 4 months; P=0.046). Among 9 G(2) EC patients who recurred after complete remission, three patients relapsed at 7, 18 and 53 months, respectively. All 3 patients chose fertility-sparing treatment again, and all achieved complete remission after retreatment. (3) Pregnancy outcome: among the three groups, the assisted reproduction technology rates (4/8, 5/18 and 36%, respectively) and pregnancy rates (6/8, 5/18 and 36%, respectively) had no significant difference (P>0.05). However, time interval to pregnancy was shorter in G(2) EC patientsthan the other two groups (4, 9 and 22 months, respectively; P=0.006). Conclusions: Fertility-preserving treatment for patients with stageâ a, G(2) endometrial cancer, may obtain a relatively high remission rate and an acceptable pregnancy rate. However, further exploration is needed due to the limited number of cases.

Objective: To study the clinical and pathologic factors of papillary thyroid microcarcinoma (PTMC) and its significance as a histopathologic subtype of papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC). Methods: A retrospective study of 719 patients with non-high-risk PTMC who underwent surgery for the first time in the Peking University People's Hospital from January 2007 to June 2019 was conducted, the relationship between clinicopathologic factors and lymph node metastasis, and the expression of four tumor markers CK19, HMBE1, Galectin-3 and CD56 by immunohistochemistry were evaluated. Some comparisons were made with PTC. Results: The peak patients' age was 40-49 years for both non-high-risk PTMC and PTC; the lymph node metastasis rate was higher in the 30-39 years age group than the 50-59 years age group (P<0.05); the lymph nodes metastasis rate was significantly higher for multiple lesions than for single lesion (P<0.05). Lymph node metastasis rate of PTMC with capsular invasion was significantly higher than those without (P<0.05). There was no significant correlation between lymph node metastasis of PTMC and patients' gender, tumor location, tumor size, and lymphocytic thyroiditis. The expression rates of CK19, HMBE1 and Galectin-3 both in PTMC and PTC were 100%, and the expression rates of CD56 were 25.6% (85/332) and 20.0% (70/350) respectively. Conclusion: As the main pathologic subtype of PTC, a variety of clinicopathologic factors of PTMC are related to lymph node metastasis, and it is highly recommended to pay close attention to PTMC. The expression of tumor marker CD56 alone cannot be used as a basis to exclude PTMC and PTC.
