RESUMEN

Skyrmioniums, known for their unique transport and regulatory properties, are emerging as potential cornerstones for future data storage systems. However, the stability of skyrmionium movement faces considerable challenges due to the skyrmion Hall effect, which is induced by deformation. In response, our research introduces an innovative solution: we utilized micro-magnetic simulations to create a sandwiched trilayer nanowire structure augmented with a stray magnetic field. This combination effectively guides the skyrmionium within the ferromagnetic (FM) layer. Our empirical investigations reveal that the use of a stray magnetic field not only reduces the size of the skyrmionium but also amplifies its stability. This dual-effect proficiently mitigates the deformation of skyrmionium movement and boosts their thermal stability. We find these positive outcomes are most pronounced at a particular intensity of the stray magnetic field. Importantly, the required stray magnetic field can be generated using a heavy metal (HM1) layer of suitable thickness, rendering the practical application of this approach plausible in real-world experiments. Additionally, we analyze the functioning mechanism based on the Landau-Lifshitz-Gilbert (LLG) equation and energy variation. We also develop a deep spiking neural network (DSNN), which achieves a remarkable recognition accuracy of 97%. This achievement is realized through supervised learning via the spike timing dependent plasticity rule (STDP), considering the nanostructure as an artificial synapse device that corresponds to the electrical properties of the nanostructure. In conclusion, our study provides invaluable insights for the design of innovative information storage devices utilizing skyrmionium technology. By tackling the issues presented by the skyrmion Hall effect, we outline a feasible route for the practical application of this advanced technology. Our research, therefore, serves as a robust platform for continued investigations in this field.

BACKGROUND: The aim of this study was to elucidate the histogenesis and genetic underpinnings of fibromatosis-like undifferentiated gastric carcinoma (FLUGC), a rare pathological entity. METHOD: Through a detailed analysis of seven cases, including histopathological evaluation, CTNNB1 gene mutation screening, human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) protein level quantification, and HER2 gene amplification assessment to identify the pathological and molecular characteristics of FLUGC. RESULTS: Of the seven patients in this study, five were male and two were female (age: 39-73 years). Four patients presented with lesions in the gastric antrum and three had lesions in the lateral curvature of the stomach. Histopathologically, over 90% of the tumor consisted of aggressive fibromatosis-like tissue, including proliferating spindle fibroblasts and myofibroblasts and varying amounts of collagenous fibrous tissues. Undifferentiated cancer cells, accounting for less than 10%, were dispersed among the aggressive fibromatosis-like tissues. These cells were characterized by their small size and were relatively sparse without glandular ducts or nested mass-like structures. Immunophenotyping results showed positive expression of CKpan, CDX2, villin, and p53 in undifferentiated cancer cells; positive expression of vimentin in aggressive fibromatosis-like tissue; positive cytoplasmic expression of ß-catenin; and focal cytoplasmic positive expression of smooth muscle actin (SMA). Genetic analysis did not reveal any mutations in the CTNNB1 gene test, nor was there amplification in the HER2 gene fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) test. Additionally, the Epstein-Barr encoding region (EBER) of in situ hybridization was negative; and the mismatch repair (MMR) protein was positive. Programmed cell death-1 (PD-1) was < 1-5%; programmed cell death ligand 1 (PD-L1): TPS = 1-4%, CPS = 3-8. CONCLUSION: The study highlights the significance of CTNNB1, HER2, EBER, and MMR as pivotal genetic markers in FLUGC, underscoring their relevance for diagnosis and clinical management. The rarity and distinct pathological features of FLUGC emphasize the importance of accurate diagnosis to prevent underdiagnosis or misdiagnosis and to raise awareness within the medical community.

As an adipokine, coiled-coil domain-containing 3 (CCDC3) plays multiple physiological roles in fatty liver, lipid metabolism, and abdominal obesity. Grass carp was selected as the experimental animal in this study to investigate the roles of Ccdc3 in teleosts. Results showed that the open reading frame (ORF) of cloned ccdc3 was 831 bp and encoded 276 amino acids. Three N-glycosylation sites and a predicted coiled-coil domain motif were located in the identified Ccdc3. Moreover, a nuclear localization signal (NLS) was contained in the coiled-coil domain motif of the identified Ccdc3. The results on tissue distribution revealed that ccdc3 was highly detected in grass carp fat and brain tissue. In the oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT), the expression of ccdc3 increased remarkably in the brain, hypothalamus, and visceral fat in the glucose treatment group. In the fasting and refeeding experiment, the ccdc3 expression levels were remarkably reduced in the brain, hypothalamus, and visceral fat after 14 days of fasting. In the refeeding group, the ccdc3 expression levels were considerably elevated compared with those in the fasting group. In the induced overfeeding experiment, the ccdc3 expression increased remarkably in the hepatopancreas, brain, and visceral fat tissues. The ccdc3 expression in the primary hepatocytes was remarkably increased with glucose, oleic acid, and insulin treatment. However, ccdc3 expression was markedly decreased with glucagon treatment. In conclusion, these results indicate that Ccdc3 is involved in regulating glucose and lipid metabolism of teleosts.

OBJECTIVE: To explore the histopathological features of glandular atrophy of the lamina propria of gastric mucosa during its occurrence and development. METHOD: We performed detailed histological observation and immunohistochemical examination on the endoscopic biopsy and ESD endoscopic resection specimens of 896 patients with glandular atrophy of the lamina propria of gastric mucosa. The EnVision two-step method was used for immunohistochemical staining, and the slices were incubated with primary antibody CK7, CK20, villin, CDX2, MUC5AC, MUC6, p53 and ki-67. Hematoxylin staining was performed and observed under the microscope and statistically analyzed. RESULTS: In the initial stage of glandular atrophy of the lamina propria, the proliferation area of the deep gastric pits, and the isthmus and neck of the gastric glands are characterized by roughly normal structure of the glandular structure, increased mesenchyme, and widened space between glands. Subsequently, the gland becomes smaller in volume and less in number, especially at the base, in the gastric glandular part of the gastric unit. The disease at this stage has higher incidence, and occurs more often in the elderly who account for 64.0% (573/896) of our study group. The disease in this stage may exhibit some lesions that are physiologic (age-related degeneration) while others are pathological. Therefore, this condition is called simple glandular atrophy of the lamina propria of the gastric mucosa. When the gastric mucosal epithelium is subjected to infection or repeated infections, chemical stimuli, immune factors, and genetic factors, it can lead to the proliferation and transformation of stem cells in the proliferation area of the deep gastric pits, and the isthmus and neck of the gastric glands, forming single ducts, multiple ducts, or a proliferation of patchy cells. Then, atypical hyperplasia (intraepithelial neoplasia) presents, finally leading to gastric adenocarcinoma. CONCLUSION: Understanding the histopathological characteristics of glandular atrophy of the lamina propria of gastric mucosa is of great significance in controlling the occurrence and development of gastric cancer.

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the occurrence and development of gastric mucosal atrophic lesions and their histopathological characteristics. METHODS: Histopathological diagnosis and immunohistochemical staining using the EnVision two-step method were conducted on 1969 gastric mucosal atrophic lesions obtained from gastroscopic biopsy specimens. A total of 48-month three-stage endoscopic biopsy follow-ups were performed. RESULTS: When the gastric mucosal epithelium was affected by infection, chemical irritation, or immune or genetic factors, the gastric mucosal epithelium glands atrophied, the mucosa became thinner, the number of glands decreased, the intestinal epithelium progressed to metaplasia and smooth muscle fibre became hyperplasia. Such changes may lead to the proliferation and dysplasia of epithelial cells of the gastric mucosa and neoplastic hyperplasia in nature; this is referred to as gastric mucosal atrophic lesions in this study. According to this definition, the present study divided gastric mucosal atrophy into four types: (1) glandular atrophy of the lamina propria; (2) compensatory proliferative atrophy; (3) intestinal metaplasia atrophy; and (4) smooth muscle proliferative atrophy. The incidence rates of the above were 40.1% (789/1969), 14.3% (281/1969), 27.8% (547/1969) and 17.9% (352/1969), respectively. One- to 4-year follow-ups found that the changes were not significant and that the percentages of patients with disease exacerbation were 85.7% (1688/1969) and 9.8% (192/1969). The percentages of patients who developed low-grade intraepithelial neoplasia and high-grade intraepithelial neoplasia were 2.8% (55/1969) and 1.1% (21/1969), respectively; 0.7% (13/1969) of patients developed intramucosal cancer. CONCLUSION: Gastric mucosal atrophic lesions and histopathological staging are based on the morphological characteristics of gastric mucosal atrophy and the hypothesis of malignant transformation of cells during the occurrence and development of mucosal atrophy. Mastering pathological staging is beneficial to clinicians for enacting precise treatment and is important for reducing the incidence of gastric cancer.

Cocoa (Theobroma cacao L.) is widely cultivated in tropical countries. The cocoa beans are a popular ingredient of confectionery. Cocoa beans contain various chemicals that contribute to their bioactivity and nutritional properties. There has been increasing interest in developing cocoa beans for "healthy" food products. Cocoa beans have special combination of nutrients such as lipids, carbohydrates, proteins and other compounds of biological activities. The bioactive phytochemicals include methylxanthines, polyphenols, biogenic amines, melanoidins, isoprostanoids and oxalates. These phytochemicals of cocoa are related to various in vivo and in vitro biological activities such as antioxidation, anti-cancer, anti-microbial, anti-inflammation, anti-diabetes, cardiovascular protection, physical improvement, anti-photoaging, anti-depression and blood glucose regulation. The potential of bioactive compounds in cocoa remains to be maximized for food and nutritional applications. The current processing technology promotes the degradation of beneficial bioactive compounds, while maximizing the flavors and its precursors. It is not optimized for the utilization of cocoa beans for "healthy" product formulations. Modifications of the current processing line and non-conventional processing are needed to better preserve and utilize the beneficial bioactive compounds in cocoa beans.

Superpixel segmentation is one of the key image preprocessing steps in object recognition and detection methods. However, the over-segmentation in the smoothly connected homogenous region in an image is the key problem. That would produce redundant complex jagged textures. In this paper, the density peak clustering will be used to reduce the redundant superpixels and highlight the primary textures and contours of the salient objects. Firstly, the grid pixels are extracted as feature points, and the density of each feature point will be defined. Secondly, the cluster centers are extracted with the density peaks. Finally, all the feature points will be clustered by the density peaks. The pixel blocks, which are obtained by the above steps, are superpixels. The method is carried out in the BSDS500 dataset, and the experimental results show that the Boundary Recall (BR) and Achievement Segmentation Accuracy (ASA) are 95.0% and 96.3%, respectively. In addition, the proposed method has better performance in efficiency (30 fps). The comparison experiments show that not only do the superpixel boundaries have good adhesion to the primary textures and contours of the salient objects, but they can also effectively reduce the redundant superpixels in the homogeneous region.

With the emerging of wearable robots, the safety and effectiveness of human-robot physical interaction have attracted extensive attention. Recent studies suggest that online measurement of the interaction force between the robot and the human body is essential to the aspects above in wearable exoskeletons. However, a large proportion of existing wearable exoskeletons monitor and sense the delivered force and torque through an indirect-measure method, in which the torque is estimated by the motor current. Direct force/torque measuring through low-cost and compact wearable sensors remains an open problem. This paper presents a compact soft sensor system for wearable gait assistance exoskeletons. The contact force is converted into a voltage signal by measuring the air pressure within a soft pneumatic chamber. The developed soft force sensor system was implemented on a robotic hip exoskeleton, and the real-time interaction force between the human thigh and the exoskeleton was measured through two differential soft chambers. The delivered torque of the hip exoskeleton was calculated based on a characterization model. Experimental results suggested that the sensor system achieved direct force measurement with an error of 10.3 ± 6.58%, and torque monitoring for a hip exoskeleton which provided an understanding for the importance of direct force/torque measurement for assistive performance. Compared with traditional rigid force sensors, the proposed system has several merits, as it is compact, low-cost, and has good adaptability to the human body due to the soft structure.

Adulteration of high-quality meat with their cheaper counterparts can be minimized by rapid and reliable methods for detecting meat species. Here an isothermal cross-primer amplification (CPA) technique combined with colloidal gold nucleic acid test strips (CPA strips) was developed to differentiate cow, sheep, arctic fox, and pig meat. A simple primer design for multiplex differentiation using a universal single-labeled CPA primer system and four detection-level species-specific labeling primers were analyzed by colloidal gold-based test strip assay. Moreover, simultaneous detection of fox and pig meat on a double-test line strip was feasible. The CPA strip assay indicated a lower amounts sensitivity of 0.3 ng DNA when one targeted species was tested and a detection limit of 1% when arctic fox meat was detected in the meat mixtures. Using a minimal set of primers, this study provides a promising tool for detecting the species of different types of meat using a constant temperature amplification technology.

OBJECTIVE: The current study aimed to evaluate the clinical practice for hemodynamic tissue signature (HTS) method in IDH genotype prediction in three groups derived from high-grade gliomas. METHODS: Preoperative MRI examinations of 44 patients with known grade and IDH genotype were assigned into three study groups: glioblastoma multiforme, grade III, and high-grade gliomas. Perfusion parameters were analyzed and were used to automatically draw the four reproducible habitats (high-angiogenic enhancing tumor habitats, low-angiogenic enhancing tumor habitats, infiltrated peripheral edema habitats, vasogenic peripheral edema habitats) related to vascular heterogeneity. These four habitats were then compared between inter-patient with IDH mutation and their wild-type counterparts at these three groups, respectively. The discriminating potential for HTS in assessing IDH mutation status prediction was assessed by ROC curves. RESULTS: Compared with IDH wild type, IDH mutation had significantly decreased relative cerebral blood volume (rCBV) at the high-angiogenic enhancing tumor habitats and low-angiogenic enhancing tumor habitats. ROC analysis revealed that the rCBVs in habitats had great ability to discriminate IDH mutation from their wild type in all groups. In addition, the Kaplan-Meier survival analysis yielded significant differences for the survival times observed from the populations dichotomized by low (< 4.31) and high (> 4.31) rCBV in the low-angiogenic enhancing tumor habitat. CONCLUSIONS: The HTS method has been proven to have high prediction capabilities for IDH mutation status in high-grade glioma patients, providing a set of quantifiable habitats associated with tumor vascular heterogeneity. KEY POINTS: • The HTS method has a high accuracy for molecular stratification prediction for all subsets of HGG. • The HTS method can give IDH mutation-related hemodynamic information of tumor-infiltrated and vasogenic edema. • IDH-relevant rCBV difference in habitats will be a great prognosis factor in HGG.

Antioxidant (AOX) synergies have been much reported in chemical ("test-tube" based assays focusing on pure chemicals), biological (tissue culture, animal and clinical models), and food systems during the past decade. Tentative synergies differ from each other due to the composition of AOX and the quantification methods. Regeneration mechanism responsible for synergy in chemical systems has been discussed. Solvent effects could contribute to the artifacts of synergy observed in the chemical models. Synergy in chemical models may hardly be relevant to biological systems that have been much less studied. Apparent discrepancies exist in understanding the molecular mechanisms in both chemical and biological systems. This review discusses diverse variables associated with AOX synergy and molecular scenarios for explanation. Future research to better utilize the synergy is suggested.

BACKGROUND: Blueberry products have various health benefits due to their high content of dietary anthocyanins. The aim of this study was to investigate the impact of fermentation and sterilization on total anthocyanin content, composition and some quality attributes of blueberry puree. The blueberry puree used here was fermented for 40 h at 37 °C by Lactobacillus after sterilization. The method of ultra-performance liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry was optimized for the rapid analysis of anthocyanins. Quality attributes including pH, color, total soluble solids and viscosity were measured. RESULTS: A total of 21 anthocyanins and five anthocyanidins were quantified by ultra-performance liquid chromatography. Fermented blueberry had reduced total anthocyanin content (29%) and levels of individual anthocyanins compared with fresh blueberry. Total anthocyanin content was decreased 46% by sterilization, and different degradation behavior of individual anthocyanin was appeared between fermented and sterilized-fermented blueberry puree. Fermentation and sterilization decreased the total soluble solids and pH and changed color parameters, while minimally influencing viscosity. CONCLUSIONS: The loss of total anthocyanin content by fermentation was related to the unstable structure of blueberry anthocyanins. Anthocyanins are sensitive to temperature (>80 °C), and degradation of anthocyanins by sterilization in blueberry should be considered in the fermentation procedure. © 2016 Society of Chemical Industry.

This study was to investigate the bidirectional estrogen-like effects of genistein on murine experimental autoimmune ovarian disease (AOD). Female BALB/c mice were induced by immunization with a peptide from murine zona pellucida. The changes of estrous cycle, ovarian histomorphology were measured, and the levels of serum sex hormone were analyzed using radioimmunoassay. Proliferative responses of the ovary were also determined by immunohistochemistry. Administration of 25 or 45 mg/kg body weight genistein enhanced ovary development with changes in serum sex hormone levels and proliferative responses. Meanwhile, the proportions of growing and mature follicles increased and the incidence of autoimmune oophoritis decreased, which exhibited normal ovarian morphology in administration of 25 or 45 mg/kg body weight genistein, while a lower dose (5 mg/kg body weight genistein) produced the opposite effect. These findings suggest that genistein exerts bidirectional estrogen-like effects on murine experimental AOD, while a high dose (45 mg/kg body weight) of genistein may suppress AOD.

Manuka honey (MH) is a highly prized natural product from the nectar of Leptospermum scoparium flowers. Increased competition on the global market drives MH product innovations. This review updates comparative and non-comparative studies to highlight nutritional, therapeutic, bioengineering, and cosmetic values of MH. MH is a good source of phenolics and unique chemical compounds, such as methylglyoxal, dihydroxyacetone, leptosperin glyoxal, methylsyringate and leptosin. Based on the evidence from in vitro, in vivo and clinical studies, multifunctional bioactive compounds of MH have exhibited anti-oxidative, anti-inflammatory, immunomodulatory, anti-microbial, and anti-cancer activities. In the context of the 5G network, the proliferation of access devices results in heightened network traffic and shifts in traffic patterns, and network intrusion detection faces greater challenges. A feature selection algorithm is proposed for network intrusion detection systems that uses an improved binary pigeon-inspired optimizer (SABPIO) algorithm to tackle the challenges posed by the high dimensionality and complexity of network traffic, resulting in complex models, reduced accuracy, and longer detection times. First, the raw dataset is pre-processed by uniquely one-hot encoded and standardized. Next, feature selection is performed using SABPIO, which employs simulated annealing and the population decay factor to identify the most relevant subset of features for subsequent review and evaluation. Finally, the selected subset of features is fed into decision trees and random forest classifiers to evaluate the effectiveness of SABPIO. The proposed algorithm has been validated through experimentation on three publicly available datasets: UNSW-NB15, NLS-KDD, and CIC-IDS-2017. The experimental findings demonstrate that SABPIO identifies the most indicative subset of features through rational computation. This method significantly abbreviates the system's training duration, enhances detection rates, and compared to the use of all features, minimally reduces the training and testing times by factors of 3.2 and 0.3, respectively. Furthermore, it enhances the F1-score of the feature subset selected by CPIO and Boost algorithms when compared to CPIO and XGBoost, resulting in improvements ranging from 1.21% to 2.19%, and 1.79% to 4.52%.

OBJECTIVE: The primary objective of this study is to explore the significance of concurrent evaluation of HER2 gene amplification and p53 and Ki67 expression in gastric cancer tissues. METHODS: Fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) methodologies were used to detect HER2 gene amplification, as well as the expression levels of HER2, p53, and Ki67 proteins, across a group of 78 gastric cancer cases. RESULTS: The expression rate of the HER2 protein was determined to be 43.6% (34/78), with 17.9% (14/78) categorized as HER2 protein 3 + , 14.1% (11/78) as HER2 protein 2 + , and 11.5% (9/78) as HER2 protein 1 + . Using FISH technology, the HER2 gene amplification rate was identified as 19.2% (15/78), including 3 cases of HER2 gene cluster amplification, 5 cases of large granular amplification, 4 cases of punctate amplification, and 3 cases of high polysomy. The positive rate of p53 in gastric cancer cells was 52.6% (41/78), with 62.8% (49/78) of patients exhibiting a ki67 proliferation index ≤ 30, and 37.2% (29/78) accounting for a ki67 proliferation index > 30. The expression rates of the HER2 gene, p53, and ki67 in gastric cancer tissues were significantly associated with both gastric cancer staging and lymph node metastasis (P < 0.05). CONCLUSION: The HER2 gene amplification rate and gene copy number exhibit a positive correlation with the expression rates of p53 and ki67. Combining these assessments can provide crucial insights into the assessment of metastatic potential, disease progression, and prognosis of gastric tumor cells. This holds paramount importance in steering the formulation of individualized treatment strategies.

Bscl2 plays a role in lipid metabolism of mammals, however its role in teleost fish remains unclear. Using the grass carp (Ctenopharyngodon idella) as a model, the bscl2 gene was isolated from the brain and characterized. Thereafter, the tissue distribution of the gene was examined, before expression was analyzed as a function of fasting, refeeding, oral glucose administration and overfeeding. In addition, bscl2 mRNA levels were evaluated in grass carp primary hepatocytes treated with glucagon, insulin, oleic acid, and glucose. Results showed that the cloned bscl2 gene was 1341 bp, encoding 446 amino acids, and was highly expressed in the brain, heart, and gonad. Following oral glucose administration, bscl2 expression increased. Expression of bscl2 decreased in fasted fish but increased following refeeding. Overfeeding, which resulted in elevated lipid accumulation, also stimulated bscl2 expression. In primary hepatocytes, bscl2 levels were increased by glucose, oleic acid, and insulin treatments, and reduced by glucagon treatment. These data suggest that bscl2 may play an important role in nutrient metabolism in teleost fish.

OBJECTIVE: The objective of this study is to assess the clinical pathological attributes of Hepatoid Adenocarcinoma of the Stomach (HAS) and to delineate the differential diagnostic considerations about it. METHOD: The investigation involved analyzing 31 HAS cases using histomorphological assessment, immunohistochemical profiling, and relevant gene detection methodologies. RESULTS: Among the 31 HAS cases, 9 (29.0%) were of trabecular hepatoid adenocarcinoma of the stomach, 7 (22.6%) were of glandular hepatoid adenocarcinoma of the stomach, 4 (12.9%) were of nesting hepatoid adenocarcinoma of the stomach, 3 (9.7%) were of clear cell hepatoid adenocarcinoma of the stomach, and 8 (25.8%) were of diverse hepatoid adenocarcinoma of the stomach. Of these 31 cases, 24 were male, accounting for 77.4% of the cases. Serum alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) levels were notably elevated, with radioimmunoassay results reaching 1240 ng/ml; 28 out of 31 cases had AFP levels below 25 µg/l, accounting for 90.3%. Related genes: HER2 protein indicated positive expression on the cell membrane in 35.5% (11/31) of the cases; HER2 gene amplification detected by the FISH technique was 12.9% (4/31). Tumoral stromal lymphocytes exhibited a PD-1 positive expression rate of 58.1% (18/31). In gastric cancer tissues, the PD-L1 positive rate was 45.1% (14/31). CONCLUSION: HAS represents a distinctive subtype of gastric cancer with a propensity for mimicking other forms of tumors, underscoring the significance of discerning its unique histopathological attributes for accurate differential diagnosis and tailored therapeutic interventions.

The purpose of this study was to explore the histopathological staging and differential diagnosis of marginal zone lymphoma in gastric mucosa-associated lymphoid tissue (MALT lymphoma). We performed detailed histomorphology and immunohistochemistry investigations as well as genetic testing on endoscopic biopsy and endoscopic mucosal resection specimens from 18 patients with gastric MALT lymphoma. We found that gastric MALT lymphoma typically begins as a small, isolated area outside the lymphoid follicular mantle zone or proliferates in a multifocal, patchy manner, gradually spreads to the interfollicular zone, forming diffuse proliferation, invades the gastric mucosal glands, and infiltrates or proliferates into the center of peripheral reactive lymphoid follicles. Abnormally proliferating lymphocytes invade the surrounding lymphoid follicles, resulting in damage, atrophy, and disappearance of their normal follicles as well as of the gastric mucosa glands, forming diffuse proliferation. Redifferentiation and proliferation lead to the transformation of lymphocytes; that is, MALT transitions into highly invasive lymphoma. Based on our findings in this study, we propose the following five stages in the process of development and progression of gastric MALT lymphoma: the stage of cell proliferation outside the lymphoid follicular mantle zone; the stage of heterogeneous proliferative lymphoepithelial lesion; the stage of reactive lymphoid follicular implantation; the stage of lymphoid follicular clonal proliferation; and the stage of MALT transforming into highly invasive lymphoma. We examined the differential diagnosis of histopathological features at each stage. The clinicopathological staging of gastric MALT lymphoma can help clinicians provide accurate treatment and track malignant cell transformation, thus playing a significant role in controlling its development and progression.

As the understanding of natural gas hydrates as a vast potential resource deepens, their importance as a future clean energy source becomes increasingly evident. However, natural gas hydrates trend towards secondary generation during extraction and transportation, leading to safety issues such as pipeline blockages. Consequently, developing new and efficient natural gas hydrate inhibitors has become a focal point in hydrate research. Kinetic hydrate inhibitors (KHIs) offer an effective solution by disrupting the nucleation and growth processes of hydrates without altering their thermodynamic equilibrium conditions. This paper systematically reviews the latest research progress and development trends in KHIs for natural gas hydrates, covering their development history, classification, and inhibition mechanisms. It particularly focuses on the chemical properties, inhibition effects, and mechanisms of polymer inhibitors such as polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) and polyvinylcaprolactam (PVCap). Studies indicate that these polymer inhibitors provide an economical and efficient solution due to their low dosage and environmental friendliness. Additionally, this paper explores the environmental impact and biodegradability of these inhibitors, offering guidance for future research, including the development, optimization, and environmental assessment of new inhibitors. Through a comprehensive analysis of existing research, this work aims to provide a theoretical foundation and technical reference for the commercial development of natural gas hydrates, promoting their safe and efficient use as a clean energy resource.
