RESUMEN

This paper proposes an improved adaptive filtering algorithm based on the Sage-Husa adaptive Kalman filtering algorithm to address the issue of measurement noise characteristics impacting the navigation accuracy in strapdown inertial navigation system (SINS)/Doppler Velocity Log (DVL) integrated navigation systems. Addressing the non-positive definite matrix problem prevalent in traditional adaptive filtering algorithms and aiming to enhance measurement noise estimation accuracy, this method incorporates upper and lower thresholds determined by a discrimination factor. In the presence of abnormal measurement data, these thresholds are utilized to adjust the covariance of the innovation, subsequently re-estimating the system's measurement noise through a decision factor based on the innovation. Simulation and experiment results demonstrate that the proposed improved adaptive filtering algorithm outperforms the classical Kalman filter (KF) in terms of navigation accuracy and stability. Furthermore, the filtering performance surpasses that of the Sage-Husa algorithm. The simulation results in this paper show that the relative position positioning error of the improved method is reduced by 49.44% compared with the Sage-Husa filtering method.

RESUMEN

Underwater vehicles are key carriers for underwater inspection and operation tasks, and the successful implementation of these tasks depends on the positioning and navigation equipment with corresponding accuracy. In practice, multiple positioning and navigation devices are often combined to integrate the advantages of each equipment. Currently, the most common method for integrated navigation is combination of the Strapdown Inertial Navigation System (SINS) and Doppler Velocity Log (DVL). Various errors will occur when SINS and DVL are combined together, such as installation declination. In addition, DVL itself also has errors in the measurement of speed. These errors will affect the final accuracy of the combined positioning and navigation system. Therefore, error correction technology has great significance for underwater inspection and operation tasks. This paper takes the SINS/DVL integrated positioning and navigation system as the research object and deeply studies the DVL error correction technology in the integrated system.

RESUMEN

Low molecular weight seleno-aminopolysaccharide (LSA) is an organic selenium compound comprising selenium and low molecular weight aminopolysaccharide (LA), a low molecular weight natural linear polysaccharide derived from chitosan. LSA has been found to exert strong pharmacological activity. In this study, we aimed to investigate the protective effect of LSA on intestinal mucosal oxidative stress in a weaning piglet model by detecting the growth performance, intestinal mucosal structure, antioxidant indices, and expression level of intracellular transcription factor nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2 (Nrf2) and its related factors. Our results indicated that LSA significantly increased the average daily gain and feed/gain (p < 0.05), suggesting that LSA can effectively promote the growth of weaning piglets. The results of scanning electron microscope (SEM) microscopy showed that LSA effectively reduced intestinal damage, indicating that LSA improved the intestinal stress response and protected the intestinal structure integrity. In addition, diamine oxidase (DAO) and d-lactic acid (d-LA) levels remarkably decreased in LSA group compared with control group (p < 0.05), suggesting that LSA alleviated the damage and permeability of weaning piglets. LSA significantly increased superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT), glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px), and total antioxidant capacity (T-AOC) levels, but decreased malondialdehyde (MDA) level, indicating that LSA significantly enhanced the antioxidant capacity and reduced oxidative stress in weaning piglets. RT-PCR results showed that LSA significantly increased GSH-Px1, GSH-Px2, SOD-1, SOD-2, CAT, Nrf2, HO-1, and NQO1 gene expression (p < 0.05). Western blot analysis revealed that LSA activated the Nrf2 signaling pathway by downregulating the expression of Keap1 and upregulating the expression of Nrf2 to protect intestinal mucosa against oxidative stress. Collectively, LSA reduced intestinal mucosal damage induced by oxidative stress via Nrf2-Keap1 pathway in weaning stress of infants.

RESUMEN

In South China, karst groundwater is an important water resource for industrial, agricultural, and drinking purposes. However, karst aquifers are highly vulnerable to pollution, leading to deteriorating karst groundwater quality and posing potential health risks to local residents. In this study, 22 groundwater samples were collected from a karst aquifer in the southwestern part of Hubei Province. The hydrogeochemical characteristics and their controlling factors were examined, and the potential health risks associated with groundwater pollutant concentrations in karst groundwater were assessed. The results showed that the groundwater is slightly alkaline with low chemical oxygen demand values, indicating good water quality. The groundwater facies type was identified as HCO3-Ca at most sample spots, showing low total dissolved solids concentrations. Substantial spatial variations in Na+, CO3 2-, and NO2 - concentrations were found, whereas spatial variations in the K+, Ca2+, Cl-, HCO3 -, and F- concentrations were small. In addition, the dissolution of gypsum deposits and magnesium carbonate sedimentary rocks at sampling sites resulted in groundwater facies types of HCO3•SO4-Ca and HCO3-Ca•Mg, with low total dissolved solids concentrations. The karst groundwater chemistry in the study area was mainly controlled by water-rock interactions, as well as by the dissolution of gypsum deposits and magnesium carbonate sedimentary rocks at specific groundwater sampling sites. The groundwater Cl- concentrations were mainly affected by atmospheric precipitation. NO3 - was mainly derived from atmospheric precipitation, domestic sewage, septic tanks, and industrial activities, whereas SO4 2- was derived from atmospheric precipitation, sulfate rock dissolution, and sulfide mineral oxidation. These results highlight the absence of potential human health risks of NO3 - and F- to infants, children, and adults, as their concentrations are below the corresponding regional background values. In contrast, the potential health risks of Cl- cannot be ignored, particularly for infants. This study offers scientific guidelines for protecting and allocating local groundwater resources.

RESUMEN

To reveal the hydrochemical characteristics of karst wetland located in a subtropical area and at lower elevations in China, 27 surface water samples were collected during three periods (wet, normal, and dry) in the Huixian karst wetland to investigate the distributions, pollution, and irrigation application of 12 inorganic ions and 10 heavy metals. Based on their concentrations, the Nemerow index and the four evaluation systems of the sodium adsorption ratio (SAR), sodium concentration (SC), permeability index (PI), and residual sodium carbonate (RSC) were applied to evaluate the pollution characteristics and irrigation application. It was found that the water type in this area was Ca2+-HCO3- and weakly alkaline. Regarding the 12 inorganic ions and 10 heavy metals, NH4+ exceeded the Chinese standards for drinking water with an exceedance rate of 25.93%, and the exceedance rates of Al, Mn, and Hg were 11.11%, 44.44%, and 37.04%, respectively. The spatiotemporal scaling effect on inorganic ions was lower than that of heavy metals, and the distributions of the inorganic ions and heavy metals were in the order of wet period > normal period > dry period. However, the surface water quality in the Huixian karst wetland was generally well-protected based on the pollution assessment. The Nemerow index ranged from 0.75 to 2.69, which recognized the main pollution contributors as NH4+, Mn, Al, and Hg with the contamination grade from slight pollution to moderate pollution, especially in the core area during the wet period. According to the limits of standards for irrigation water quality and environmental quality for surface water, as well as the evaluation results of the SAR, SC, PI, and RSC, the surface water in the Huixian karst wetland was generally suitable for irrigation, and the water quality in the dry period was better than that in the wet and normal periods. The surface water from site PH1 during the normal period with 19.1 µg·L-1 of Hg and site FH8 during the wet period with 13.7 mg·L-1 of NH4+ were not suitable for agricultural irrigation.

RESUMEN

The purpose of this study was to investigate the anti-Newcastle disease virus (NDV) activities of baicalin from Scutellaria baicalensis, a Traditional Chinese Medicine in vitro. Chicken embryo fibroblasts (CEFs) were infected with NDV, and quantitative analysis of apoptotic cells was performed using flow cytometry. Cytotoxicity and anti-viral activities of baicalin were studied using the MTT method. The results showed that the maximal safe concentrations of baicalin to CEFs was 1 × 2(-2) mg/ml. Baicalin could directly kill NDV, inhibit the infectivity of NDV to CEF and block intracellular NDV. It inhibited the apoptosis of NDV-infected CEFs and suppressed the spread of NDV. These results indicate that baicalin has strong anti-NDV activity and has the potential for use as components of an antiviral drug.

RESUMEN

Comprehensive characterization of ultrafast optical field is critical for ultrashort pulse generation and its application. This paper combines two-step phase-shifting (TSPS) into the spectral phase interferometry for direct electric-field reconstruction (SPIDER) to improve the reconstruction of ultrafast optical-fields. This novel SPIDER can remove experimentally the dc portion occurring in traditional SPIDER method by recording two spectral interferograms with π phase-shifting. As a result, the reconstructed results are much less disturbed by the time delay between the test pulse replicas and the temporal widths of the filter window, thus more reliable. What is more, this SPIDER can work efficiently even the time delay is so small or the measured bandwidth is so narrow that strong overlap happens between the dc and ac portions, which allows it to be able to characterize the test pulses with complicated temporal/spectral structures or narrow bandwidths.
