RESUMO

We describe cross effect of enhancement of muscular power and electrical activity during electrical stimulation. Due to the use of electrostimulation method with biological feedback and effort visualization for the examinee, its expression on non-stimulated leg by some indices approached that on the stimulated leg.

RESUMO

We studied the effect of a course of electrical stimulation of the quadriceps femoris muscle with submaximal contraction under biofeedback conditions on functional capabilities of the organism. In addition to the known effects, electrostimulation course modulated the content of intra- and extracellular fluid and increases MDA content and creatine phosphokinase activity, which can be a manifestation of overtreatment. Impairment of body static balance after the course was revealed. Thus, monitoring of the effects of electrostimulation is required during the course.

RESUMO

A modified procedure for diploid treatment is proposed to disinhibit a functional scotoma and to develop binocular vision (BV) in children with squint. The procedure is to examine a special test object through rotary prisms and polaroid filters inserted into a modernized spectacle frame. During treatment there is an opportunity of simultaneously changing the color of the test object and the position of its image on the retina. The study enrolled children in whom previous traditional methods for BV recovery had failed. Treatment using the proposed procedure could recover bifoveal fusion in 88.3% of cases (as evidenced by synoptophore examination) and BY in 73.3% (as shown by scanning haploscopy).

RESUMO

Stabilometric parameters were compared in sportsmen of various disciplines (biathlon, boat racing, judo, and water polo). A decrease in the role of gravitational factor in sport activity was accompanied by the impairment of balance characteristics, which remained within normal limits of the mean population level.

RESUMO

Correlation between asymmetry of total signs of digital dermatoglyphs and general level of physical potential and basic physical qualities was studied. Highly qualified sportsmen were examined: men (231) and women (95) 20-38 yrs old; MPU students--men (106) and women (92) 17-20 yrs old; children with infantile cerebral paralysis, boys (12) and girls (42) 4-13 yrs old and parents of these children, man (12) and women (42) 25-48 yrs old. Variability of asymmetry of basic of digital dermatoglyfied was associated with sexual peculiarities of dominance of right or left hemisphere in functional asymmetry of brain.
