[Modern trends in development of surgical and endovascular treatment of patients with arterial pathology]. / Sovremennye tendentsii razvitiia khirurgicheskogo i éndovaskuliarnogo lecheniia bol'nykh s arterial'noi patologiei.

The last decade has seen distinct dynamics of the worldwide growth of the number of endovascular interventions and a decrease in the number of 'open' surgical operations for pathology of the aorta and peripheral arteries. The world trends of treatment of patients presenting with pathology of the aorta and peripheral arteries are indicative of a steadily growing amount of operations, most of which are performed in an endovascular manner. In the Russian Federation, the past decade has also witnessed a noticeable jump of the amounts of endovascular interventions. Thus, the number of operations from 2008 to 2017 increased from 15 094 to 37 109 (2.5-fold). Nevertheless, in Russia there is a significant lag in both the total amount and the ratio of the performed surgical and endovascular operations in patients with pathology of the aorta and peripheral arteries. The article analyses the world and Russian trends in the development of surgical and endovascular treatment of patients with pathology of the aorta and peripheral arteries.

[Interaction of new pyridylporphyrins with bovine serum albumin]. / Vzaimodeistvie novykh piridilporfirinov s bych'im syvorotochnym al'buminom.

The interaction of meso-tetra(4-N-hydroxyethylpyridyl)porphyrin, meso-tetra(3-N-hydroxyethylpyridyl)porphyrin, and their zinc complexes with bovine serum albumin (BSA) was studied by electronic spectroscopy, CD, and equilibrium dialysis at pH 7.2. The titration of the porphyrins with BSA was accompanied by a decrease in light absorption and a bathochromic shift of the Soret band, as well as by the appearance of an isobestic point. The porphyrin interaction with BSA also led to the induction of positive CD spectra in the visible region, which is explained by the porphyrin sorption on the protein globule. The equilibrium dialysis helped in determining the stoichiometry of binding and the binding constants of the porphyrins under study with BSA using Scatchard plots. [Various functional characteristics of enolase isoenzymes in mammals]. / Nekotorye funktsional'nye kharakteristiki izofermentov enolazy mlekopitaiushchikh.

Considerable stability of beta beta- (muscular) and gamma gamma- (neurospecific) forms to the denaturing influence of neutral salts of alkali metals is shown on purified isoenzymes (alpha alpha-, beta beta-, gamma gamma-forms) of beef brain and rabbit muscle. The rate of influence of these salts on the enzymic activity of the mentioned isoenzymes corresponds to the "lyotropic" series. Km of alpha alpha- and gamma gamma-isoenzymes are determined for 2-phosphoglycerate and phosphoenolpyruvate. It is found that alpha alpha-isoenzyme has larger affinity to phosphoenolpyruvate than gamma gamma-isoenzyme and it appears to play an essential role in participation of the given isoenzymes in the glycolysis and glyconeogenesis processes.
