RESUMO

Organic polymer photocatalysts have achieved significant progress in photocatalytic hydrogen evolution, while developing the integrated organic polymers possessing the functions of photosensitizer, electron transfer mediator, and catalyst simultaneously is urgently needed and presents a great challenge. Considering that chalcogenoviologens are able to act as photosensitizers and electron-transfer mediators, a series of chalcogenoviologen-containing platinum(II)-based supramolecular polymers is designed, which exhibited strong visible light-absorbing ability and suitable bandgap for highly efficient photocatalytic hydrogen evolution without the use of a cocatalyst. The hydrogen evolution rate (HER) increases steadily with the decrease in an optical gap of the polymer. Among these "all-in-one" polymers, Se-containing 2D porous polymer exhibited the best photocatalytic performance with a HER of 3.09 mmol g-1 h-1 under visible light (>420 nm) irradiation. Experimental and theoretical calculations reveal that the distinct intramolecular charge transfer characteristics and heteroatom N in terpyridine unit promote charge separation and transfer within the molecules. This work could provide new insights into the design of metallo-supramolecular polymers with finely tuned components for photocatalytic hydrogen evolution from water.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: This study was designed to estimate the effect of sticky bone combined with concentrated growth factor (CGF) on anterior alveolar horizontal augmentation during implantation. METHODS: Twenty-eight patients were randomly assigned to either the test group (Group 1, n = 14) or the control group (Group 2, n = 14). Patients in Group 1 and Group 2 underwent GBR using sticky bone combined with CGF and bone powders mixed with saline, respectively. On postoperative Day 7, the patients completed the visual analogue scale (VAS). Three-dimensional models of maxillary alveolar bone were reconstructed from CBCT data at different periods, and the bone volume conversion rate was calculated with the assistance of a measurement marker guide. Labial bone thickness before and after trauma closure and bone density at six months postoperatively were also measured. RESULTS: The mean bone volume conversion rate for Group 1 (72.09 ± 12.18%) was greater than that for Group 2 (57.47 ± 9.62%, P = 0.002). The VAS score was lower for Group 1 than for Group 2 (P = 0.032). At six months postoperatively, greater bone density was found in patients in Group 1 than in those in Group 2, although the difference was not statistically significant (P > 0.05). The change in the thickness of the labial bone graft material in Group 1 was smaller than that in Group 2 (P = 0.025). CONCLUSION: Sticky bone combined with CGF was able to achieve better bone augmentation than conventional GBR. With excellent mechanical properties and the capacity to release growth factors, sticky bone is an ideal material for bone grafting. TRIAL REGISTRATION: The study was registered at the Chinese Clinical Trial Registry on 10/04/2022 (Identification number: ChiCTR2200058500).

RESUMO

Luminescent organic radicals, especially those with photoactivated circularly polarized luminescence (CPL) features, hold great significance for cutting-edge optoelectronic applications, but their development still remains a challenge. In this study, we propose a novel strategy to achieve photoactivated CPL radicals by bonding two phosphine centers within an axial chiral system, yielding a compound of R/S-5,5-bis(diphenylphosphino)-4,4'-bibenzo[d][1,3]dioxole (R/S-BDP). The photoactivated R/S-BDP molecules in polymer matrix display a robust quantum yield of 19.8 % and a dissymmetry factor (glum) of 1.2×10-4, marking this work as the first example of photoactivated CPL radicals. Furthermore, the glum is improved to 1.0×10-2 by using a liquid crystal as host. Experimental and theoretical analyses reveal that R/S-BDP molecules, endowed with double phosphine cores in axial chirality, offer a direct way for intramolecular electron transfer upon photoirradiation. This leads to the generation of radical ionic pairs, which subsequently trigger the donor-acceptor arrangement through intermolecular electron transfer, thereby resulting in stable radical emission. The extended photoactivated BDP-F exhibits a remarkably high quantum efficiency of 57.8%. Ultimately, the distinctive photo-responsive CPL radical luminescence has been successfully used for information displays and anti-counterfeiting.

RESUMO

Livestock grazing is the primary practice in alpine meadows and can alter soil microbiomes, which is critical for ecosystem functions and services. Seasonal grazing (SG) and continuous grazing (CG) are two kinds of different grazing practices that dominate alpine meadows on the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau (QTP), and how they affect soil microbial communities remains in-depth exploration. The present study was conducted to investigate the effects of different grazing practices (i.e., SG and CG) on the diversity, composition, and co-occurrence networks of soil bacteria and fungi in QTP alpine meadows. Soil microbial α- and ß-diversity showed no obvious difference between SG and CG grasslands. Grazing practices had little impact on soil microbial composition, except that the relative abundance of Proteobacteria and Ascomycota showed significant difference between SG and CG grasslands. Soil microbial networks were more complex and less stable in SG grasslands than that in CG grasslands, and the bacterial networks were more complex than fungal networks. Soil fungal diversity was more strongly correlated with environmental factors than bacteria, whereas both fungal and bacterial structures were mainly influenced by soil pH, total nitrogen, and ammonium nitrogen. These findings indicate that microbial associations are more sensitive to grazing practices than microbial diversity and composition, and that SG may be a better grazing practice for ecological benefits in alpine meadows.

RESUMO

Autism spectrum disorders (ASD) is a group of heterogeneous neurodevelopmental disorders. Evidence has implied that environmental pollutants are important factors related to ASD. In this study, several environmental endocrine-disrupting chemicals, including parabens, benzophenone-type ultraviolet filters, hydroxyl polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, triclosan and tetrabromobisphenol A were analyzed in blood plasma in ASD children (n = 34) and the control children (n = 28). The results showed that parabens were the most concentrated chemicals (2.18 ng/mL, median value), followed by hydroxyl polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (0.73 ng/mL), benzophenone-type ultraviolet filters (0.14 ng/mL), triclosan (0.13 ng/mL) and tetrabromobisphenol A (0.03 ng/mL). ASD children accumulated significantly lower 2-hydroxy-4-methoxybenzophenone, 2,4-dihydroxybenzophenone, 4-hydroxybenzophenone and triclosan but higher 2-hydroxyphenanthrene and tetrabromobisphenol A than the control children (0.02/0.09 ng/mL of 2-hydroxy-4-methoxybenzophenone, p < 0.05; 0.04/0.07 ng/mL of 2,4-dihydroxybenzophenone, p < 0.05; 0.03/0.04 ng/mL of 4-hydroxybenzophenone, p < 0.05; 0.13/1.22 ng/mL of triclosan, p < 0.01; 0.03 ng/mL/not detected of 2-hydroxyphenanthrene, p < 0.05; 0.03/0.004 ng/mL of tetrabromobisphenol A, p < 0.05). Gender differences in certain environmental endocrine-disrupting chemicals were evident, and the differences were more inclined toward boys. Positive associations between 2-hydroxy-4-methoxybenzophenone and triclosan, and tetrabromobisphenol A and 2-hydroxyphenanthrene were found in ASD boys. Binary logistic regression analysis showed that the adjusted odds ratio value of 2-hydroxyphenanthrene in ASD boys was 11.0 (1.45-84.0, p < 0.05). This is the first pilot study on multiple environmental endocrine-disrupting chemicals in children with ASD in China.

RESUMO

In this paper, we investigate the effects of taper angle on the SERS detection sensitivity using tapered fiber probes with single-layer uniform gold spherical nanoparticles (GSNs). We show that the photothermal damage caused by excessive excitation laser power is the main factor that restricts the improvement of detection sensitivity of tapered fiber probes. Only when the cone angle is appropriate can a balance be achieved between increasing the excitation laser power and suppression of the transmission and scattering losses of the nanoparticles on the tapered fiber surface, thereby obtaining the best SERS detection sensitivity. Furthermore, the optimal cone angle depends on the complex refractive index of the equivalent composite dielectric (ECD) layer containing GSNs. For three SERS fiber probes with different ECD layers, the optimal cone angles measured are between 11-13°.

RESUMO

Resonant integrated optical gyroscopes (RIOGs) can integrate discrete optical components as a promising candidate for high-performance micro-optical gyroscopes. However, the current RIOG still consists of discrete elements due to the difficulty and complexity of heterogeneous integration of resonator and modulators. This paper presents on-chip integration of optical functional components including modulator, resonator, beam splitter, and coupler for the organic-polymer-based RIOG. Simple integrated optical processes such as spin coating, lithography, and etching can realize RIOG chips with low cost, size, weight, and power (CSWaP) features. Thereinto, the electro-optic modulator (EOM) fabricated by self-synthesized electro-optic (EO) polymer (side chain bonded polyurethane imide) exhibits less than 2 V half-wave voltage, which is half of the lithium niobate (LiNbO3) modulator. With respect to the resonator, a quality factor of approximately million was achieved using low-loss fluorinated polymer. In addition, the angular velocity sensing of RIOG was also investigated. By demonstrating the monolithic integration of the resonator and modulators, such an all-polymer RIOG chip prototype builds the technical foundation for the precision fully integrated optical gyroscope.

RESUMO

129 Shenzhen residents' hair samples were collected and the metal/metalloid concentrations of Hg, As, Pb, Cd, Cr, Cu, Mn, Zn, Fe and Ni were detected. Meanwhile, the relationships between metal/metalloid contents in human hair and gender, age, seafood diet habit, smoking habit, as well as the housing type (dwelling environment) were analyzed. Results showed that the average content of Hg, As, Pb, Cd, Cr, Cu, Mn, Zn, Fe and Ni in human hair of Shenzhen residents was 0.76 ± 0.96, 0.10 ± 0.04, 5.25 ± 4.88, 0.25 ± 0.33, 0.60 ± 0.31, 13.84 ± 3.67, 2.82 ± 2.01, 196.90 ± 145.01, 12.20 ± 5.10 and 0.34 ± 0.32 µg/g, respectively. Compared with other regions at home and abroad, most metal/metalloids in Shenzhen residents were at a moderate level, and the highly toxic elements (i.e. Pb, Cd, As and Hg) didn't exceed the upper limit of normal values in China. Statistical analysis showed that the young male people contained significantly higher (p < 0.05) level of Pb (in age group of 20-30 years old) and Fe (in age group of 20-40 years old) in hair than the female people. Smokers had significantly (p < 0.05) higher level of Cd (0.35 µg/g) but lower level of Zn (101.24 µg/g) than non-smokers (Cd: 0.17 µg/g; Zn: 252.63 µg/g). Hg and Pb contents in hair of Shenzhen people were positively related with the frequencies of seafood consumption and the age, respectively. Moreover, residents lived in private buildings (well decorated house) accumulated significantly higher (p < 0.05) levels of Pb, Cr, Fe and Ni as compared with those lived in public rental house and village house (no decoration or simple decoration), suggesting that decoration material was also an important way for human exposure to heavy metals.

RESUMO

The in vivo application potential of viral-based gene delivery approaches is hindered by a risk of insertional oncogenesis. Of the many delivery methods, cell-penetrating peptides (CPP)-based delivery has good biocompatibility and biodegradability. However, low efficiency is still the disadvantage of CPPs-based nucleic acid transfection, and delivery efficiency may vary from different CPPs. Here, we describe Scp01-b, as a new CPP, which can enter cultured cell lines and primary cultured cells examined by fluorescence microscopy and quantitative assay, the internalization process is a concentration, temperature, and incubation time-dependent manner. Scp01-b does not insert into the membrane directly and its uptake is mediated through endocytosis pathway. Moreover, Scp01-b could mediate the uptake of plasmid DNA into the Caski and HSC-T6 cells, and we noted that Scp01-b-mediated transfection efficiency was nearly the same with traditional liposome (TurboFectin)-mediated transfection. These findings suggest that Scp01-b can act as a useful tool for non-viral-based delivery in further application such as reprogramming and gene editing.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Measurement uncertainty (MU) characterizes the dispersion of the quantity values attributed to a measurand. Although this concept was introduced to medical laboratories some years ago, not all medical researchers are familiar with it. Therefore, the evaluation and expression of MU must be highlighted. In this paper, the evaluation of MU is described by using four different approaches from different quality assessment data. METHODS: In accordance with Guide to the Expression of Uncertainty of Measurement (GUM) principles, human serum γ-glutamyltransferase (GGT) level was defined as the measurand. Main sources of MU were analyzed; individual components of MU were evaluated, followed by calculation of standard uncertainty, the combined standard uncertainty and the expanded uncertainty. RESULTS: In method 1, the median of expanded uncertainty (k=2) of GGT in lower level (65±1 U/L) was 5 U/L (9%, 95% confidence interval) and in higher level (116±2 U/L) was 8% (95% confidence interval), respectively. The results of method 2 were lower than that of method 1. There were no significant differences between the two other methods compared with the method 1. CONCLUSIONS: Three out of the four different approaches based on different quality assessment data yielded similar results. Proficiency testing or external quality assessment data used for MU evaluation can be regarded as a supplementary method in clinical laboratory.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Measurement uncertainty (MU) is a parameter associated with the result of a measurement that characterizes its dispersion. We report results for estimating MU following the application of a top-down procedure using only proficiency test data to establish uncertainty levels for various analytes. METHODS: Data were obtained from 142 laboratories participating in the Beijing Center for Clinical Laboratory (BCCL) proficiency testing/external quality assessment (PT/EQA) schemes. The 24-month study included six selected PT shipments to obtain estimates for 50th percentile (median) and 90th percentile MUs and to compare those estimates to usual analytic goals. The number of laboratory participants varied for each trial. The expanded uncertainty (U) was calculated using a cover factor of k=2 for a confidence interval of 95%. All reproducibility, method and laboratory biases came from the PT/EQA data. RESULTS: The median U (k=2) ranged from 3.2% (plasma sodium, indirect ion selective electrode) to 32.8% (triglycerides, free glycerol blanking) for clinical chemistry analyte means from participants in the same method group. Immunoassay analyte median U results ranged from 11.3% (CA125 tumor marker, Roche) to 33.8% (prostate-specific antigen [PSA], Abbott). The range for median U was 3.5% (red blood cell [RBC], Abx) to 30.3% (fibrinogen [FBG], other) for hematology and coagulation analytes. The MUs for most analytes satisfied quality requirements. CONCLUSIONS: The use of PT/EQA data, when available, provides an effective means for estimating uncertainties associated with quantitative measurements. Thus, medical laboratories can calculate their own MUs. Proficiency testing organizers can provide participants with an additional MU estimate using only EQA data, which may be updated at the end of each survey.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: To develop a method for determination of bisphenol A in human blood by fast phospholipid removal solid phase extraction method-ultra performance liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry( UPLC-MS/MS). METHODS: Enzymatic hydrolysis( ß-glucuronidase/arylsulfatase) and phospholipid removal solid phase extraction were used to treat the blood samples under the acidic condition, a Infinity Lab Poroshell 120 PFP column( 100 mm × 3. 0 mm, 2. 7 µm) was used for LC separation, ESI negative ion scan was used with multiple reaction monitoring( MRM) mode. RESULTS: The calibration curve was linear in the range of 0. 1-100 ng/mL for bisphenol A with correlation coefficients more than 0. 999. The limit of detection was 0. 05 ng/mL, the limit of quantity was 0. 15 ng/mL. The recoveries of the method for bisphenol A at three spiked levels of 0. 5, 5 and 50 ng/mL ranged from 87. 3%to 112. 1%. The relative standard deviation( RSD) of intra and inter day were range from3. 3%-8. 2%, 4. 9%-10. 7%( n = 6), respectively. CONCLUSION: The method is successfully applied in the analysis of bisphenol A in human blood with its simple operation, sensitivity and accuracy.

RESUMO

A mining district in south China shows significant metal(loid) contamination in paddy fields. In the soils, average Pb, Cd and As concentrations were 460.1, 11.7 and 35.1mgkg-1 respectively, which were higher than the environmental quality standard for agricultural soils in China (GB15618-1995) and UK Clea Soil Guideline Value. The average contents of Pb, Cd and As in rice were 5.24, 1.1 and 0.7mgkg-1 respectively, which were about 25, 4.5 or 2.5 times greater than the limit values of the maximum safe contaminant concentration standard in food of China (GB 2762-2012), and about 25, 10 or 1 times greater than the limit values of FAO/WHO standard. The elevated contents of Pb, Cd and As detected in soils around the factories, indicated that their spatial distribution was influenced by anthropogenic activity, while greater concentrations of Cd in rice appeared in the northwest region of the factories, indicating that the spatial distribution of heavy metals was also affected by natural factors. As human exposure around mining districts is mainly through oral intake of food and dermal contact, the effects of these metals on the viability and MT protein of HepG2 and KERTr cells were investigated. The cell viability decreased with increasing metal concentrations. Co-exposure to heavy metals (Pb+Cd) increased the metals (Pb or Cd)-mediated MT protein induction in both human HepG2 and KERTr cells. Increased levels of MT protein will lead to greater risk of carcinogenic manifestations, and it is likely that chronic exposure to metals may increase the risk to human health. Nevertheless, when co-exposure to two or more metals occur (such as As+Pb), they may have an antagonistic effect thus reducing the toxic effects of each other. CAPSULE: Metal contaminations in paddy soils and rice were influenced by anthropogenic activity; metal co-exposure induced MT protein in human cells.

RESUMO

OBJECTIVE: The contribution of hypoxia to the pathophysiology of vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs) has not yet been fully elucidated. This study evaluated the effect of hypoxia on the phenotype and function of SMCs derived from the human normal great saphenous veins (NGSVs). METHODS: Fifteen NGSV tissue samples were collected. SMCs were isolated and cultured. Proliferation, migration, adhesion, senescence, and the structure of cytoskeletal filaments in SMCs were observed. mRNA and protein expression of Bax, Bcl-2, caspase-3, matrix metalloproteinases (MMP)-2, MMP-9, tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinases (TIMP)-1, and TIMP-2 was detected by fluorescent quantitative polymerase chain reaction and immunoblotting in the cobalt chloride (CoCl2) and the control groups. RESULTS: A decrease in the number of cytoskeletal filaments was observed. mRNA and protein expression of Bas and caspase-3 was significantly decreased, while the quantity of proliferation, migration, adhesion, senescence, and mRNA and protein expression of Bcl-2, MMP-2, MMP-9, TIMP-1, and TIMP-2 in SMCs in the CoCl2 group were significantly increased compared with the control group. CONCLUSION: Under hypoxic conditions, the phenotype and function of SMCs derived from the human NGSVs were dysregulated, suggesting that VSMCs switch from the contractile phenotype to the secretory or synthetic phenotype, and more dedifferentiate, resulting in extracellular matrix deposition and apoptotic decrease through the intrinsic pathway.

RESUMO

Narrowband blue emitters are indispensable in achieving ultrahigh-definition OLED displays that satisfy the stringent BT 2020 standard. Hereby, a series of bis-tridentate Ir(III) complexes bearing electron-deficient imidazo[4,5-b]pyridin-2-ylidene carbene coordination fragments and 2,6-diaryloxy pyridine ancillary groups were designed and synthesized. They exhibited deep blue emission with quantum yields of up to 89% and a radiative lifetime of 0.71 µs in the DPEPO host matrix, indicating both the high efficiency and excellent energy transfer process from the host to dopant. The OLED based on Irtb1 showed an emission at 468 nm with a maximum external quantum efficiency (EQE) of 22.7%. Moreover, the hyper-OLED with Irtb1 as a sensitizer for transferring energy to terminal emitter v-DABNA exhibited a narrowband blue emission at 472 nm and full width at half-maximum (FWHM) of 24 nm, a maximum EQE of 23.5%, and EQEs of 19.7, 16.1, and 12.9% at a practical brightness of 100, 1000, and 5000 cd/m2, respectively.

RESUMO

Nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) or metabolic-associated fatty liver disease has been characterized by the lipid accumulation with injury of hepatocytes and has become one of the most common chronic liver diseases in the world. The complex mechanisms of NAFLD formation are still under identification. Carnitine palmitoyltransferase-II (CPT-II) on inner mitochondrial membrane (IMM) regulates long chain fatty acid ß-oxidation, and its abnormality has had more and more attention paid to it by basic and clinical research in NAFLD. The sequences of its peptide chain and DNA nucleotides have been identified, and the catalytic activity of CPT-II is affected on its gene mutations, deficiency, enzymatic thermal instability, circulating carnitine level and so on. Recently, the CPT-II dysfunction has been discovered in models of liver lipid accumulation. Meanwhile, the malignant transformation of hepatocyte-related CD44+ stem T cell activation, high levels of tumor-related biomarkers (AFP, GPC3) and abnormal activation of Wnt3a expression as a key signal molecule of the Wnt/ß-catenin pathway run parallel to the alterations of hepatocyte pathology. This review focuses on some of the progress of CPT-II inactivity on IMM with liver fatty accumulation as a possible novel pathogenesis for NAFLD in hepatocarcinogenesis.

RESUMO

Itching and pain are distinct unpleasant sensations. The transient receptor potential cation channel subfamily V member 4 (TRPV4) pathway is regarded as a shared pathway that mediates pain and itching. Vitexin (Mujingsu, MJS), a C-glycosylflavonoid, is an effective analgesic. This study aimed to explore the antinociceptive and anti-pruritic effects of MJS and whether its effects are mediated via the TRPV4 pathway. Mice were treated with MJS (7.5 mg/kg) 0.5 h prior to the initiation of the pain or itch modeling process. The results showed that MJS suppressed pain-like behavior in hot plate, thermal infiltration, glacial acetic acid twisting, and formalin tests. Administration of MJS decreased the pruritus response induced by histamine, C48/80, chloroquine and BAM8-22 within 30 min. MJS reduced scratching bouts and lessened the wiping reaction of mice under TRPV4 activation by GSK101 (10 µg/5 µl). MJS inhibited scratching behavior in acetone-ether-water (AEW)-treated mice within 60 min. An H1 receptor antagonist-chlorpheniramine (CLP, 400 mg/kg)-and a TRPV4 antagonist-HC067047 (250 ng/kg), exhibited similar effects to those of MJS. Moreover, MJS ameliorated dry skin itch-associated cutaneous barrier disruption in mice. MJS did not inhibit the expression of TRPV4 in the dorsal root ganglion neurons at L2-L3 in AEW mice. These results indicate that the analgesic and anti-pruritic effects of MJS in acute and chronic pain and itching, as well as itching caused by TRPV4 activation, could be attributed to the TRPV4 pathway modulation.

RESUMO

It was previously reported that afforestation in the desert can help improve soil texture, carbon accumulation, and nutrient status. However, the effects of afforestation on soil microbial composition, diversity, and microbial interactions with soil physicochemical properties have been rarely evaluated quantitatively. Using the method of space-for-time substitutions, we assessed the development and determinants of topsoil bacterial and fungal communities over nearly 40 years of successive afforestation by aerial sowing in Tengger Desert, China. The results showed that afforestation by aerial sowing comprised a considerable proportion of Chloroflexi and Acidobacteria in the bacterial community in addition to the ubiquitous phyla found in desert but had fewer effects on the dominant phyla of the fungal community. At the phylum level, the bacterial community was clearly clustered into two groups. However, it was difficult to differentiate the constituents of the fungal community based on principal coordinate analysis. The richness of the bacterial and fungal communities was significantly higher after five years than at zero years and three years. Additionally, the bacterial community varied parabolically and reached its largest size at twenty years, while the fungal community increased exponentially. Soil physicochemical properties were found to have divergent effects on the abundance and diversity of bacterial and fungal communities, among which salt- and carbon-associated properties (e.g., electrical conductivity, calcium, magnesium, total carbon, and organic carbon) were closely related with the abundance of bacterial-dominant phyla and the diversity of bacteria and fungi, but nutrient-associated properties (e.g., total phosphorus and available phosphorus) were not. The results indicate that afforestation through the salt secretions of plants leaves and carbon inputs from litter promote the development of topsoil bacterial and fungal communities in the desert.

RESUMO

The genus Diestramima comprises 41 species from Asia with 31 species distributed in China. In this study, we reconstruct the phylogeny tree of Diestramima species by maximum likelihood and Bayesian inference based on three mitochondrial genes (COI, 12S and 16S). The result indicates that the phylogenetic results are coherent with that based on five molecular markers (COI, 12S, 16S, 18S and 28S). Moreover, two new species, D. pingmengensis sp. nov. He & Zong and D. gulinjingensis. sp. nov. Zong & He are described. Their validities are also supported by morphological features. Furthermore, D. sichuanensis Zhu & Shi, 2022 is treated as a junior synonym of D. guangxiensis Qin, Wang, Liu & Li, 2016 based on both morphological and molecular features.

RESUMO

Novel chitosan-supported cinchona alkaloids have been developed as heterogeneous catalysts for enantioselective Michael reaction. As-synthesized products as organocatalysts for asymmetric Michael reaction have a high efficiency, providing highly functionalized products (containing adjacent quaternary and tertiary stereocenters) with good stereoselectivity (up to 93% enantiomeric excess) in high yields and recyclability (up to five runs).
