RESUMO

Sam68 (Src associated in mitosis of 68 kDa) is an RNA-binding and multifunctional protein extensively characterized in numerous cellular functions, such as RNA processing, cell cycle regulation, kinase- and growth factor signaling. Recent investigations highlighted Sam68 as a primary target of a class of reverse-turn peptidomimetic drugs, initially developed as inhibitors of Wnt/ß-catenin mediated transcription. Further investigations on such compounds revealed their capacity to selectively eliminate cancer stem cell (CSC) activity upon engaging Sam68. This work highlighted previously unappreciated roles for Sam68 in the maintenance of neoplastic self-renewal and tumor-initiating functions. Here, we discuss the implication of Sam68 in tumorigenesis, where central findings support its contribution to chromatin regulation processes essential to CSCs. We also review advances in CSC-targeting drug discovery aiming to modulate Sam68 cellular distribution and protein-protein interactions. Ultimately, Sam68 constitutes a vulnerability point of CSCs and an attractive therapeutic target to impede neoplastic stemness in human tumors.

Cardiac hypertrophy (CH) is an adaptive response to maintain cardiac function; however, persistent stress responses lead to contractile dysfunction and heart failure. Although inflammation is involved in these processes, the mechanisms that control cardiac inflammation and hypertrophy still need to be clarified. The NLRP3 inflammasome is a cytosolic multiprotein complex that mediates IL-1ß production. The priming step of NLRP3 is essential for increasing the expression of its components and occurs following NF-κB activation. Hyperthyroidism triggers CH, which can progress to maladaptive CH and even heart failure. We have shown in a previous study that thyroid hormone (TH)-induced CH is linked to the upregulation of S100A8, leading to NF-κB activation. Therefore, we aimed to investigate whether the NLRP3 inflammasome is involved in TH-induced CH and its potential role in CH pathophysiology. Hyperthyroidism was induced in NLRP3 knockout (NLRP3-KO), Caspase-1-KO and Wild Type (WT) male mice of the C57Bl/6J strain, aged 8-12 weeks, by triiodothyronine (7 µg/100 g BW, i.p.) administered daily for 14 days. Morphological and cardiac functional analysis besides molecular assays showed, for the first time, that TH-induced CH is accompanied by reduced NLRP3 expression in the heart and that it occurs independently of the NLRP3 inflammasome and caspase 1-related pathways. However, NLRP3 is important for the maintenance of basal cardiac function since NLRP3-KO mice had impaired diastolic function and reduced heart rate, ejection fraction, and fractional shortening compared with WT mice.

BACKGROUND: While surgical resection remains the primary treatment approach for symptomatic or growing meningiomas, radiotherapy represents an auspicious alternative in patients with meningiomas not safely amenable to surgery. Biopsies are often omitted in light of potential postoperative neurological deficits, resulting in a lack of histological grading and (molecular) risk stratification. In this prospective explorative biomarker study, extracellular vesicles in the bloodstream will be investigated in patients with macroscopic meningiomas to identify a biomarker for molecular risk stratification and disease monitoring. METHODS: In total, 60 patients with meningiomas and an indication of radiotherapy (RT) and macroscopic tumor on the planning MRI will be enrolled. Blood samples will be obtained before the start, during, and after radiotherapy, as well as during clinical follow-up every 6 months. Extracellular vesicles will be isolated from the blood samples, quantified and correlated with the clinical treatment response or progression. Further, nanopore sequencing-based DNA methylation profiles of plasma EV-DNA will be generated for methylation-based meningioma classification. DISCUSSION: This study will explore the dynamic of plasma EVs in meningioma patients under/after radiotherapy, with the objective of identifying potential biomarkers of (early) tumor progression. DNA methylation profiling of plasma EVs in meningioma patients may enable molecular risk stratification, facilitating a molecularly-guided target volume delineation and adjusted dose prescription during RT treatment planning.

Astrocytes have key regulatory roles in central nervous system (CNS), integrating metabolic, inflammatory and synaptic responses. In this regard, type I interferon (IFN) receptor signaling in astrocytes can regulate synaptic plasticity. Simvastatin is a cholesterol-lowering drug that has shown anti-inflammatory properties, but its effects on astrocytes, a main source of cholesterol for neurons, remain to be elucidated. Herein, we investigated the effects of simvastatin in inflammatory and functional parameters of primary cortical and hypothalamic astrocyte cultures obtained from IFNα/ß receptor knockout (IFNα/ßR-/-) mice. Overall, simvastatin decreased extracellular levels of tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) and interleukin-1ß (IL-1ß), which were related to a downregulation in gene expression in hypothalamic, but not in cortical astrocytes. Moreover, there was an increase in anti-inflammatory interleukin-10 (IL-10) in both structures. Effects of simvastatin in inflammatory signaling also involved a downregulation of cyclooxygenase 2 (COX-2) gene expression as well as an upregulation of nuclear factor κB subunit p65 (NFκB p65). The expression of cytoprotective genes sirtuin 1 (SIRT1) and nuclear factor erythroid derived 2 like 2 (Nrf2) was also increased by simvastatin. In addition, simvastatin increased glutamine synthetase (GS) activity and glutathione (GSH) levels only in cortical astrocytes. Our findings provide evidence that astrocytes from different regions are important cellular targets of simvastatin in the CNS, even in the absence of IFNα/ßR, which was showed by the modulation of cytokine production and release, as well as the expression of cytoprotective genes and functional parameters.

Due to their vectorial capacity, mosquitoes (Diptera: Culicidae) receive special attention from health authorities and entomologists. These cosmopolitan insects are responsible for the transmission of many viral diseases, such as dengue and yellow fever, causing huge impacts on human health and justifying the intensification of research focused on mosquito-borne diseases. In this context, the study of the virome of mosquitoes can contribute to anticipate the emergence and/or the reemergence of infectious diseases. The assessment of mosquito viromes also contributes to the surveillance of a wide variety of viruses found in these insects, allowing the early detection of pathogens with public health importance. However, the study of mosquito viromes can be challenging due to the number and complexities of steps involved in this type of research. Therefore, this article aims to describe, in a straightforward and simplified way, the steps necessary for obtention and assessment of mosquito viromes. In brief, this article explores: the capture and preservation of specimens; sampling strategies; treatment of samples before DNA/RNA extraction; extraction methodologies; enrichment and purification processes; sequencing choices; and bioinformatics analysis.

In biotechnological processes such as chromosomal manipulation studies, semen has become a reference in the ploidy verification of the evaluated material. However, the use of fresh samples is limited to the use at field conditions because the analysis is performed under laboratory conditions. Thus, this study aimed to develop a simpler procedure for storing dry semen at 28 °C to reduce cold storage costs. For this, semen samples were evaluated according to established quality semen parameters, a protocol for dry, and 3 sterilization treatments of dry semen were applied to the store. The integrity of the DNA was evaluated every two months, using fresh semen, dry semen (untreated), and particles 3C to compare the peaks by flow cytometry. The results indicated that all samples evaluated before and after drying showed no significant difference in the DNA content. UV-treated semen showed a 1C peak in the histogram up to 180 days of storage and a non-significant difference (P > 0.05) from fresh control in the number of DNA particles up to 120 days and untreated only showed a 1C peak up to 120 days. The developed method may become an interesting procedure to serve as a reference peak for practical flow cytometric analysis, not only in the field of fish biology but also in biomedical and agricultural sciences. Furthermore, dried semen can become a tool for the preservation of genetic material and is a promising low-cost storage technique for biobanking.

While cryopreservation of cauda epididymal sperm (SpCau) allows the preservation of post-mortem bulls' gametes, the process triggers sperm damage. Although improving post-thaw sperm quality, using egg yolk extenders (EY) raises biosafety concerns which forces the use of EY-free extenders (EYFE). Since EYFE are less efficient in preserving post-thaw sperm quality, a strategy for ejaculated sperm (SpEj) frozen with EYFE is to add an Equilibrium Time (ET) step period to the cryopreservation process. However, the ET effect on the quality of SpCau cryopreserved in EYFE remains unknown. Distinct from SpEJ, SpCau physiologically displays cytoplasmic droplets (CDs) in the flagellum that may benefit cell exchange during ET. We hypothesized that using ET in SpCau cryopreserved with EYFE impacts sperm morphofunctional features, CD area, and in vitro fertility ability. Extender nanoparticles were also assessed. Following collection from the cauda epididymis of six Nellore bulls by retrograde flow, SpCau were cryopreserved in EYFE BoviFree® (Minitube, Germany) using three ET protocols: ET0 (no-ET); ET2.5 (2.5 h-ET); and ET5 (5 h-ET). SpCau from ET2.5 and ET5 showed a higher (P ≤ 0.05) percentage of motility and integrity of plasma and acrosome membranes and a smaller (P ≤ 0.05) distal CD area. There are no differences in sperm abnormalities, oxidative stress, capacitation-like events, and in vitro fertility ability. However, a better sperm recovery was found after Percoll® selection for ET2.5 and ET5. Interestingly, the number of nanoparticles in the extender decreased in post-thawed samples. In conclusion, an ET of 2.5 or 5 h is required for an efficient SpCau cryopreservation using an EYFE.

The diabetic foot interacts with anatomical, vascular, and neurological factors that challenge clinical practice. This study aimed to compile the primary scientific evidence based on a review of the main guidelines, in addition to articles published on the Embase, Lilacs, and PubMed platforms. The European Society of Cardiology system was used to develop recommendation classes and levels of evidence. The themes were divided into six chapters (Chapter 1 - Prevention of foot ulcers in people with diabetes; Chapter 2 - Pressure relief from foot ulcers in people with diabetes; Chapter 3 -Classifications of diabetic foot ulcers; Chapter 4 - Foot and peripheral artery disease; Chapter 5 - Infection and the diabetic foot; Chapter 6 - Charcot's neuroarthropathy). This version of the Diabetic Foot Guidelines presents essential recommendations for the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up of patients with diabetic foot, offering an objective guide for medical practice.

The introduction of mass spectrometry-based proteomics has revolutionized the high-density lipoprotein (HDL) field, with the description, characterization, and implication of HDL-associated proteins in an array of pathologies. However, acquiring robust, reproducible data is still a challenge in the quantitative assessment of HDL proteome. Data-independent acquisition (DIA) is a mass spectrometry methodology that allows the acquisition of reproducible data, but data analysis remains a challenge in the field. To date, there is no consensus on how to process DIA-derived data for HDL proteomics. Here, we developed a pipeline aiming to standardize HDL proteome quantification. We optimized instrument parameters and compared the performance of four freely available, user-friendly software tools (DIA-NN, EncyclopeDIA, MaxDIA, and Skyline) in processing DIA data. Importantly, pooled samples were used as quality controls throughout our experimental setup. A careful evaluation of precision, linearity, and detection limits, first using E. coli background for HDL proteomics and second using HDL proteome and synthetic peptides, was undertaken. Finally, as a proof of concept, we employed our optimized and automated pipeline to quantify the proteome of HDL and apolipoprotein B-containing lipoproteins. Our results show that determination of precision is key to confidently and consistently quantifying HDL proteins. Taking this precaution, any of the available software tested here would be appropriate for quantification of HDL proteome, although their performance varied considerably.

OBJECTIVES: To understand differences in antimicrobial use between COVID-19 and non-COVID-19 patients. To compare two metrics commonly used for antimicrobial use: Defined Daily Dose (DDD) and Days of Therapy (DOT). To analyse the order in which antimicrobials were prescribed to COVID-19 patients using process mining techniques. METHODS: We analysed data regarding all ICU admissions from 1 January 2018 to 14 September 2020, in 17 Brazilian hospitals. Our main outcome was the antimicrobial use estimated by the DDD and DOT (Days of Therapy). We compared clinical characteristics and antimicrobial consumption between COVID-19 and non-COVID-19 patients. We used process mining to evaluate the order in which the antimicrobial schemes were prescribed to each COVID-19 patient. RESULTS: We analysed 68 405 patients admitted before the pandemic, 12 319 non-COVID-19 patients and 3240 COVID-19 patients. Comparing those admitted during the pandemic, the COVID-19 patients required advanced respiratory support more often (42% versus 12%). They also had longer ICU length of stay (6 versus 3 days), higher ICU mortality (18% versus 5.4%) and greater use of antimicrobials (70% versus 39%). Most of the COVID-19 treatments started with penicillins with ß-lactamase inhibitors (30%), third-generation cephalosporins (22%), or macrolides in combination with penicillins (19%). CONCLUSIONS: Antimicrobial prescription increased in Brazilian ICUs during the COVID-19 pandemic, especially during the first months of the epidemic. We identified greater use of broad-spectrum antimicrobials by COVID-19 patients. Overall, the DDD metric overestimated antimicrobial use compared with the DOT metric.

AIMS: This study aimed to evaluate matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time-of-flight mass spectrometry (MALDI-TOF MS) bacterial subtyping for the rapid detection of biomarkers in Staphylococcus aureus from subclinical bovine mastitis. METHODS AND RESULTS: A total of 229 S. aureus isolates were obtained from milk samples collected from cows with subclinical mastitis using microbiological culture. Staphylococcus aureus isolates were also submitted to PCR analysis targeting the mecA and mecC genes, which are indicative of methicillin resistance. Confirmation of the species was achieved through MALDI-TOF MS analysis. To analyze antimicrobial resistance patterns, the MALDI BioTyper Compass Explorer and ClinProTools Bruker software were employed, and dendrograms were generated using Bionumerics software. CONCLUSIONS: MALDI-TOF MS successfully identified S. aureus at the species level, but no methicillin resistance was observed. Moreover, spectral typing displayed limited similarity when compared to pulsed-field gel electrophoresis (PFGE).

The present study evaluated the productive characteristics, nutrient digestibility, and economic indexes of broiler chickens submitted to diets containing different nutritional levels, and identified advantages for the commercialization of poultry in the griller-type whole chicken model. A total of 180 COBB 500 chicks ™ were distributed in a completely randomized design, in a 2x3 factorial scheme: sex (male and female) and nutritional level (nutritional requirements for male, female or mixed flock); with 6 repetitions of 5 birds each. It was observed effect of the sex factor in the performance and the economic analysis, in which the male chickens presented the highest feed costs, in spite of exhibiting the best feed conversion rates and gross marketability, resulting from greater body weight. Considering nutritional levels, the most outstanding diet was that formulated according to the demands of the females, which did not affect the performance or carcass characteristics of the birds, obtained the highest gross margins with good feeding costs, showed good retention of dry matter and gross energy, regardless of sex. The diet of nutritional requirements of the females provides promising results for the production of broiler chickens. The female birds present marketing advantages in the griller-type chicken model.

AIM: To assess the prevalence of domestic violence/intimate partner violence, aggressors, types of violence and associated factors in women who attend an antenatal and postnatal care service in a public hospital in Brazil. DESIGN: Cross-sectional study. METHODS: We interviewed women attending antenatal and postpartum care services in a Brazilian public tertiary woman's hospital in Campinas, São Paulo, between July 2019 and September 2021. Data were collected through interviewer-administered questionnaires previously used in healthcare settings: Abuse Assessment Screen (AAS); Woman Abuse Screening Tool (WAST); Hurt, Insulted, Threatened with Harm and Screamed (HITS). We evaluated the relationship between the sociodemographic characteristics of women and domestic/intimate violence using bivariate and multivariable logistic regression analyses. RESULTS: Of the 600 pregnant and postpartum women interviewed, 138 (23%) had suffered any abuse. Some participants disclosed physical violence during pregnancy (2.3%) and during the last 12 months (5.3%). The partner was identified as the main aggressor in most of the cases (60%). When women had a partner, 3.5% reported domestic violence and 6.7% disclosed intimate partner violence during pregnancy or postpartum period. Women with non-white skin colour (OR = 1.53; 95% CI 1.01-2.34; p = .048), gestational age ≤ 13 weeks (OR = 3.41; 95% CI 1.03-11.25; p = .044) and in postpartum period (OR = 2.81; 95% CI 1.32-5.99; p = .008) were more likely to experience domestic violence at some time in their lives. Women interviewed before the COVID-19 pandemic were more likely to disclose that they had suffered any abuse. CONCLUSION: Experience of violence during pregnancy and postpartum period was more frequent in women with non-white skin colour, in their first gestational trimester and in the postpartum period, and was more reported before the COVID-19 pandemic. Antenatal and postpartum care services could be safe places to support violence survivors. IMPACT: Pregnant and postpartum women are a vulnerable group to experiencing domestic violence/intimate partner violence. Violence can negatively affect women's and children's health and well-being. Antenatal and postpartum care should be considered as a moment to routinely inquiry women about past and current violence experiences. Regular contact among healthcare professionals and women during this period offers a window of opportunities for implementing psychosocial interventions among women at risk of violence. Healthcare providers (i.e., physicians, psychologists, social workers, nurses and midwives) have an important role in identifying survivors, offering support and providing quality information to women.

This study aimed to identify the sociodemographic and clinical factors associated with the occurrence and recurrence of intentional self-poisoning with medications (ISP-M), and suicide deaths by ISP-M in the state of Mato Grosso, Brazil. In this cross-sectional analytical study, we used logistic regression models to analyze data obtained through health information systems. Factors associated with use of ISP-M as a method were female gender, white skin color, occurrence in urban areas and at home. The ISP-M as a method was less reported in people presumed under the influence of alcohol. Lower chance of death by suicide using ISP-M was found among young people and adults (under 60 years old).

PURPOSE: Our study aimed to evaluate the acceptability, adverse effects and continuation rates among adolescents who accepted the etonogestrel (ENG) subdermal implant and compared to adolescents who chose other methods during the immediate postpartum period before hospital discharge, with one year follow-up up. MATERIALS AND METHODS: We conducted a cohort non-randomised study at the Women's Hospital, University of Campinas. All women up to 19 years of age, who gave birth at the hospital between July 2019 and April 2020, were invited to participate and were offered the ENG-implant or the routine contraceptive methods. They were followed for one year postpartum. RESULTS: We included 100 teenagers and 72 accepted the ENG-implant. Students are more likely to accept the ENG-implant than non-students (PR: 1.25 [95%CI 0.99-1.59]). Up to one year of follow-up, survival analysis showed that the time of adherence to the method was longer for the ENG-implant users (p = 0.0049). More than 90% of the adolescents were satisfied with the implant; however, five requested early removal due to menstrual irregularity and local discomfort. CONCLUSION: Provision ENG-implant for adolescents in the immediate postpartum demonstrated high acceptance and ensured effective contraception. After one year, most of them were satisfied, with a high continuation rate and without unplanned pregnancies.

Organophosphate esters (OPEs) used as flame retardants and plasticizers are additives in building and construction materials, decorations, furniture, electronic equipment, among other applications. The presence of materials containing these substances in construction and demolition waste (CDW) from weak waste management practices can result in environmental contamination. In this study, OPEs' presence in soil samples collected from a CDW landfill in Brazil was evaluated. Soil samples were collected in areas adjacent to CDW from an inert landfill, and the samples were analysed by gas chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry. The OPEs were detected in all soil samples at quantifiable concentrations ranging from 21 to 251 ng g-1, and detected compounds were tris(phenyl) phosphate, tris(2-butoxyethyl) phosphate, tris(1,3-dichloroisopropyl) phosphate, tris(2-chloroisopropyl) phosphate and 2-ethylhexyl diphenyl phosphate. The presence of these compounds in a CDW landfill is probably due to the lack of control of the materials sent to and deposited in the landfill, which, results in part from the lack of sampling and screening systems that can help identify the presence of contaminants in the CDW waste stream. This is partially due to OPEs not being considered controlled compounds under current regulations, thus screening or separation for handling of OPEs at construction and demolition work sites is rare to non-existent. The data generated in this study reveals the need for improving CDW management to minimize, if not eliminate, environmental contamination by OPEs.

Mast cells, known as pro-inflammatory effector cells, are immunocytes present in the meninges and may be involved in the pathophysiology of migraine. This study aims to evaluate the histomorphometric parameters of mast cells located in the convexity of the human intracranial dura mater. For this, samples of intracranial dura mater from eight human fresh cadavers were collected between 8- and 24-h post-mortem. The whole samples were fixed and, subsequently, two fragments of 1.5 cm² each were cut from four different areas of the dura mater convexity, containing a segment of the middle meningeal artery, totaling 64 fragments. After histological processing, the fragments were submitted to microtomy (5 and 10 µm), stained with toluidine blue (0.1%), or immunohistochemically labeled for tryptase, and analyzed using optical microscopy. The following histomorphometric parameters were evaluated: distance from mast cells to vessels, the density of mast cells, and percentage of mast cells with degranulation. Histomorphometric analyzes showed a higher density of mast cells in the vicinity of blood vessels (arterial and venous), with distances around 0-150 µm. A greater number of mast cells was detected near venous vessels in the periosteal layer (17.0 ± 10.1 cells/mm²) than in the meningeal layer (14.1 ± 7.0 cells/mm²) (p < 0.05). Mast cells from the region close to the superior sagittal sinus were found in greater quantity close to the venous vessels (16.7 ± 10.1 cells/mm²) than to the arterial vessels (11.2 ± 7.5 cells/mm²) (p < 0.05). In short, in the convexity of the human intracranial dura mater, mast cells are located close to blood vessels, with a greater number of cells next to the venous vessels of the periosteal layer and in the proximal region of the superior sagittal sinus.

Plasmodium falciparum gametocytes, the sexual stage responsible for malaria parasite transmission from humans to mosquitoes, are key targets for malaria elimination. Immature gametocytes develop in the human bone marrow parenchyma, where they accumulate around erythroblastic islands. Notably though, the interactions between gametocytes and this hematopoietic niche have not been investigated. Here, we identify late erythroblasts as a new host cell for P falciparum sexual stages and show that gametocytes can fully develop inside these nucleated cells in vitro and in vivo, leading to infectious mature gametocytes within reticulocytes. Strikingly, we found that infection of erythroblasts by gametocytes and parasite-derived extracellular vesicles delay erythroid differentiation, thereby allowing gametocyte maturation to coincide with the release of their host cell from the bone marrow. Taken together, our findings highlight new mechanisms that are pivotal for the maintenance of immature gametocytes in the bone marrow and provide further insights on how Plasmodium parasites interfere with erythropoiesis and contribute to anemia in malaria patients.

Cardiovascular diseases are the main cause of death worldwide. Recent studies have revealed the influence of histone-modifying enzymes in cardiac remodeling and heart dysfunction. The Set7 methyltransferase regulates the expression of several genes through the methylation of histones and modulates the activity of non-histone proteins. However, the role of Set7 in cardiac remodeling and heart dysfunction remains unknown. To address this question, wild-type (WT) and Set7 knockout (KO) male mice were injected with isoproterenol or saline. WT mice injected with isoproterenol displayed a decrease in Set7 activity in the heart. In addition, WT and Set7 KO mice injected with isoproterenol exhibited cardiac hypertrophy. Interestingly, Set7 deletion exacerbated cardiac hypertrophy in response to isoproterenol but attenuated myocardial fibrosis. Echocardiograms revealed that WT mice injected with isoproterenol had lowered ejection fractions and fractional shortening, and increased E'-wave deceleration time and E/A ratio compared with their controls. Conversely, Set7 KO mice did not show alteration in these parameters in response to isoproterenol. However, prolonged exposure to isoproterenol induced cardiac dysfunction both in WT and Set7 KO mice. Both isoproterenol and Set7 deletion changed the transcriptional profile of the heart. Moreover, Set7 deletion increased the expression of Pgc1α and mitochondrial DNA content in the heart, and reduced the expression of cellular senescence and inflammation markers in response to isoproterenol. Taken together, our data suggest that Set7 deletion attenuates isoproterenol-induced myocardial fibrosis and delays heart dysfunction, suggesting that Set7 plays an important role in cardiac remodeling and dysfunction in response to stress.

INTRODUCTION AND HYPOTHESIS: Mayer-Rokitansky-Küster-Hauser syndrome affects about 1 in 5000 live female births and is associated with gonadal dysgenesis and primary amenorrhea. Neovaginoplasty has been established as an appropriate treatment option for patients who have failed or denied dilation therapy. In search of accessible, economical material with low risk of complications, the team proposed the use of Nile tilapia fish skin (NTFS) as an innovative biomaterial in the neovaginoplasty procedure for vaginal agenesis management. NTFS has noninfectious microbiota, morphologic structure comparable to human skin and high in vivo bioresorption. METHODS: In this descriptive study, the method offered an anatomical and functional neovagina to 11 patients efficiently, quickly and safely. Correct post-surgical dilation is still extremely important to keep the neovagina's size > 6 cm. RESULTS: Histological and immunohistochemical analysis demonstrated the formation of a stratified squamous epithelium with strong marking for cytokeratins, FGF and EGFR, similar to healthy adult vaginal tissue. CONCLUSIONS: Since NTFS is a low cost and easily accessible biomaterial, this technique proves to be an inexpensive therapeutic possibility for the health system with excellent advantages for patients.
