RESUMO

2D perovskites have attracted tremendous attention due to their superior optoelectronic properties and potential applications in optoelectronic devices. Especially, the larger bandgap of 2D perovskite means that they are suitable for UV photodetection. However, the layered structure of 2D perovskites hinders the interlayer carrier transport, which limits the improvement of device performance. Therefore, nanoscale structures are normally used to enhance the light absorption ability, which is an effective strategy to improve the photocurrent in 2D perovskite-based photodetectors. Herein, a template-assisted low-temperature method is proposed to fabricate 2D perovskite ((C6H5C2H4NH3)2PbBr4, (PEA)2PbBr4) grating single crystal films (GSCFs). The crystallinity of the (PEA)2PbBr4 GSCFs is significantly improved due to the slow evaporation of the precursor solution under low temperatures. Based on this high crystalline quality and extremely ordered microstructures, the metal-semiconductor-metal photodetectors are assembled. Finite-different time-domain (FDTD) simulation and experiment indicate that the GSCF-based photodetectors exhibit significantly improved performance in comparison with the plane devices. The optimized 2D perovskite photodetectors are sensitive to UV light and demonstrate a responsivity and detectivity of 28.6 mA W-1 and 2.4 × 1011 Jones, respectively. Interestingly, the photocurrent of this photodetector varies as the angle of the incident polarized light, resulting in a high polarization ratio of 1.12.

RESUMO

Porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome virus (PRRSV) is a variable virus, whose spread cannot be totally stopped by vaccination. PRRSV infection results in abortion and respiratory symptoms in pregnant pigs. One crucial component of the anti-viral infection strategy is microRNA (miRNA), a class of multifunctional small molecules. It is unknown whether miR-339-5p can specifically target the PRRSV gene and prevent the virus from replicating, despite the fact that miR-339-5p is markedly up-regulated during the PRRSV infection. In this pursuit, the present study revealed that the two PRRSV areas targeted by miR-339-5p were PRRSV nsp2-3378 to 3403 and PRRSV nsp2-3112 to 3133 using the miRanda program. Dual luciferase reporter assays showed that the miR-339-5p target region of the PRRSV gene sequence exhibited 100% homology and was highly conserved. Furthermore, the ability of miR-339-5p to target PRRSV gene areas was verified. It was found that the overexpression of miR-339-5p markedly reduced the PRRSV replication through PRRSV infection trials. The precursor sequence of ssc-miR-339-5p was amplified using the DNA of pig lung tissue as a template in order to create a fragment of 402 bp of porcine-derived miR-339-5p precursor sequence, which was then used to produce the eukaryotic expression plasmid of miR-339-5p. In conclusion, miR-339-5p can target the specific PRRSV gene areas and prevent PRRSV replication, offering fresh perspectives for the creation of medications that combat the PRRSV infection.

RESUMO

Oligomer acceptors in organic solar cells (OSCs) have garnered substantial attention owing to their impressive power conversion efficiency (PCE) and long-term stability. However, the simple and efficient synthesis of oligomer acceptors with higher glass transition temperatures (Tg ) remains a formidable challenge. In this study, we propose an innovative strategy for the synthesis of tetramers, denoted as Tet-n, with elevated Tg s, achieved through only two consecutive Stille coupling reactions. Importantly, our strategy significantly reduces the redundancy in reaction steps compared to conventional methods for linear tetramer synthesis, thereby improving both reaction efficiency and yield. Furthermore, the OSC based on PM6:Tet-1 attains a high PCE of 17.32 %, and the PM6:L8-BO:Tet-1 ternary device achieves an even more higher PCE of 19.31 %. Remarkably, the binary device based on the Tet-1 tetramer demonstrates outstanding operational stability, retaining 80 % of the initial efficiency (T80 ) even after 1706 h of continuous illumination, which is primarily attributed to the enhanced Tg (247 °C) and lower diffusion coefficient (1.56×10-27  cm2 s-1 ). This work demonstrates the effectiveness of our proposed approach in the straightforward and efficient synthesis of tetramers materials with higher Tg s, thus offering a viable pathway for developing high-efficiency and stable OSCs.

RESUMO

The development of high-efficiency organic solar cells (OSCs) processed from non-halogenated solvents is crucially important for their scale-up industry production. However, owing to the difficulty of regulating molecular aggregation, there is a huge efficiency gap between non-halogenated and halogenated solvent processed OSCs. Herein, we fabricate o-xylene processed OSCs with approaching 20 % efficiency by incorporating a trimeric guest acceptor named Tri-V into the PM6:L8-BO-X host blend. The incorporation of Tri-V effectively restricts the excessive aggregation of L8-BO-X, regulates the molecular packing and optimizes the phase-separation morphology, which leads to mitigated trap density states, reduced energy loss and suppressed charge recombination. Consequently, the PM6:L8-BO-X:Tri-V-based device achieves an efficiency of 19.82 %, representing the highest efficiency for non-halogenated solvent-processed OSCs reported to date. Noticeably, with the addition of Tri-V, the ternary device shows an improved photostability than binary PM6:L8-BO-X-based device, and maintains 80 % of the initial efficiency after continuous illumination for 1380 h. This work provides a feasible approach for fabricating high-efficiency, stable, eco-friendly OSCs, and sheds new light on the large-scale industrial production of OSCs.

RESUMO

A cubic metal exhibiting zero thermal expansion (ZTE) over a wide temperature window demonstrates significant applications in a broad range of advanced technologies but is extremely rare in nature. Here, enabled by high-temperature synthesis, we realize tunable thermal expansion via magnetic doping in the class of kagome cubic (Fd-3m) intermetallic (Zr,Nb)Fe2. A remarkably isotropic ZTE is achieved with a negligible coefficient of thermal expansion (+0.47 × 10-6 K-1) from 4 to 425 K, almost wider than most ZTE in metals available. A combined in situ magnetization, neutron powder diffraction, and hyperfine Mössbauer spectrum analysis reveals that interplanar ferromagnetic ordering contributes to a large magnetic compensation for normal lattice contraction upon cooling. Trace Fe-doping introduces extra magnetic exchange interactions that distinctly enhance the ferromagnetism and magnetic ordering temperature, thus engendering such an ultrawide ZTE. This work presents a promising ZTE in kagome metallic materials.

RESUMO

A cross-linking strategy can result in a three-dimensional network of interconnected chains for the copolymers, thereby improving their mechanical performance. In this work, a series of cross-linked conjugated copolymers, named PC2, PC5, and PC8, constructed with different ratios of monomers are designed and synthesized. For comparison, a random linear copolymer, PR2 is also synthesized based on the similar monomers. When blended with Y6 acceptor, the cross-linked polymers PC2, PC5, and PC8-based polymer solar cells (PSCs) achieve superior power conversion efficiencies (PCEs) of 17.58%, 17.02%, and 16.12%, respectively, which are higher than that (15.84%) of the random copolymer PR2-based devices. Moreover, the PCE of PC2:Y6-based flexible PSC retains ≈88% of the initial efficiency value after 2000 bending cycles, overwhelming the PR2:Y6-based device with the remaining 12.8% of the initial PCE. These results demonstrate that the cross-linking strategy is a feasible and facile approach to developing high-performance polymer donors for the fabrication of flexible PSCs.

RESUMO

In organic photovoltaics, morphological control of donor and acceptor domains on the nanoscale is the key for enabling efficient exciton diffusion and dissociation, carrier transport and suppression of recombination losses. To realize this, here, we demonstrated a double-fibril network based on a ternary donor-acceptor morphology with multi-length scales constructed by combining ancillary conjugated polymer crystallizers and a non-fullerene acceptor filament assembly. Using this approach, we achieved an average power conversion efficiency of 19.3% (certified 19.2%). The success lies in the good match between the photoelectric parameters and the morphological characteristic lengths, which utilizes the excitons and free charges efficiently. This strategy leads to an enhanced exciton diffusion length and a reduced recombination rate, hence minimizing photon-to-electron losses in the ternary devices as compared to their binary counterparts. The double-fibril network morphology strategy minimizes losses and maximizes the power output, offering the possibility of 20% power conversion efficiencies in single-junction organic photovoltaics.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: To propose a new mode of HIV test and surveillance among population of men who have sex with men (MSM): Internet-based Self-sampling at home plus Laboratory testing of HIV total nucleic acid (TNA) in dried blood spot (DBS) (ISL of DBS TNA). Feasibility of ISL of DBS TNA was studied. Characteristics of the new mode and that of conventional surveillance mode at HIV voluntary counseling and testing clinic (VCT) were compared. METHODS: A non-governmental organization (NGO) published the recruitment information on the WeChat public account. MSM filled in the questionnaire online, applied for self-sampling service package, and mailed the self made DBS to professional laboratory. The laboratory performed HIV TNA test and submitted the test results to online platform. Participants queried test results online with their unique ID. Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) followed up participants with positive nucleic acid results using IDs and contact information. Rates were compared by using the Chi-Square test or Fisher's exact test. RESULTS: Four hundred twenty-three questionnaires were completed. 423 self-sampling service packages were sent out and 340 DBSs were returned to professional laboratory within one month with qualified rate of sampling as high as 95.0% (323/340). Seven samples were found to be TNA positive. Comparing ISL of DBS TNA with sentinel surveillance, it was found that there was a significant difference in the composition ratio of the two modes of surveillance population (P < 0.05). HIV prevalence of ISL of DBS as 2.17% was significantly lower than sentinel site as 8.96% (χ2 = 14.953, P = 0.000 < 0.05). CONCLUSIONS: ISL of DBS TNA proposed is feasible and has a high self-sampling qualification rate, good confidentiality. It is an effective supplement to routine sentinel surveillance and has important promotion value.

RESUMO

Although NO2 detection based on metal oxide semiconductors (MOSs) has received continuous attention, the sensing properties of MOSs still need to be further improved for practical application. Carbon nanocoils (CNCs) exhibit excellent physicochemical properties due to their unique polycrystalline amorphous structure and helical morphology. Herein, CNCs composited with NiO nanosheets were developed for room temperature NO2 sensing, in which highly dispersed mesoporous NiO nanosheets on CNCs was achieved with extremely higher sensitivity. Due to a large number of exposed active sites and the efficient conductive network of CNCs, this particular scale-like nanocomposite exhibits a nearly 8 times higher response to 60 ppm NO2 than bare NiO nanosheets at room temperature, outperforming the majority of previously reported NO2 sensors at room temperature. Moreover, the nanocomposite-based gas sensor has a detection concentration limit of 60.3 ppb, which is advantageous for the sensing of NO2 at low concentrations. We believe that this work will provide the direction for the research and development of highly sensitive smart sensors, as well as encourage further investigation of multifunctional sensing applications utilizing CNCs as the primary frame support material.

RESUMO

Traumatic brain injury refers to the damage caused to intracranial tissues by an external force acting on the head, leading to both immediate and prolonged harmful effects. Neuroinflammatory responses play a critical role in exacerbating the primary injury during the acute and chronic phases of TBI. Research has demonstrated that numerous neuroinflammatory responses are mediated through the "microbiota-gut-brain axis," which signifies the functional connection between the gut microbiota and the brain. The aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AhR) plays a vital role in facilitating communication between the host and microbiota through recognizing specific ligands produced directly or indirectly by the microbiota. Tryptophan (trp), an indispensable amino acid in animals and humans, represents one of the key endogenous ligands for AhR. The metabolites of trp have significant effects on the functioning of the central nervous system (CNS) through activating AHR signalling, thereby establishing bidirectional communication between the gut microbiota and the brain. These interactions are mediated through immune, metabolic, and neural signalling mechanisms. In this review, we emphasize the co-metabolism of tryptophan in the gut microbiota and the signalling pathway mediated by AHR following TBI. Furthermore, we discuss the impact of these mechanisms on the underlying processes involved in traumatic brain injury, while also addressing potential future targets for intervention.

RESUMO

Oligomer acceptors have recently emerged as promising photovoltaic materials for achieving high power conversion efficiency (PCE) and long-term stability in organic solar cells (OSCs). However, the limited availability of diverse acceptors, resulting from the sole synthetic approach, has hindered their potential for future industrialization. In this study, we present a facile and effective stepwise approach that utilizes two consecutive Stille coupling reactions for the synthesis of oligomer acceptors. To demonstrate the feasibility of the novel approach, we successfully synthesize a trimer acceptor, Tri-Y6-OD, and further systematically investigate the impact of oligomerization on device performance and stability. The results reveal that this approach has significant advantages compared to the conventional method, including reduced formation of unwanted by-products and lower difficulties in purification. Remarkably, the OSC based on PM6 : Tri-Y6-OD achieves an impressive PCE of 18.03 % and maintains 80 % of the initial PCE (T80 ) for 1523 h under illumination, surpassing the performance of the corresponding small molecule acceptor Y6-OD-based device. Furthermore, the versatility of the synthetic strategy in obtaining diverse acceptors is further demonstrated. Overall, our findings provide a facile, versatile and stepwise way for synthesizing oligomer acceptors, thereby facilitating the development of stable and efficient OSCs.

RESUMO

Mayenite Ca12Al14O33, as an oxide-ion conductor, has the potential of being applied in many fields, such as solid-oxide fuel cells. However, its relatively low oxide-ion conductivity hinders its wide practical applications and thus needs to be further optimized. Herein, a new recently developed glass crystallization route was used to prepare a series of Ga-doped Ca12Al14-xGaxO33 (0 ≤ x ≤ 14) materials, which is not accessible by the traditional solid-state reaction method. Phase evolution with the content of gallium, the corresponding structures, and their electrical properties were studied in detail. The X-ray diffraction data revealed that a pure mayenite phase can be obtained for 0 ≤ x ≤ 7, whereas when x > 7, the samples crystallize into a melilite-like orthorhombic Ca5Ga6O14-based phase. The electrical conduction studies evidence no apparent enhancement in the total conductivity for compositions 0 ≤ x ≤ 7 with the mayenite phase, and therefore, the rigidity of the framework cations and the width of the windows between cages are not key factors for oxide-ion conductivity in mayenite Ca12Al14O33-based materials, and changing the free oxygen content through aliovalent cation substitution may be the right direction. For compositions with a pure melilite-like orthorhombic phase, the conductivities also mirrored each other and are all slightly higher than those of the mayenite phases. These melilite-like Ca5Ga6O14-based materials show mixed Ca-ion, oxide-ion, and electron conduction. Furthermore, the conduction mechanisms of Ca ions and oxide ions in this composition were studied by a bond-valence-based method. The results suggested that Ca-ion conduction is mainly due to the severely underbonded Ca3 ions and that the oxide ions are most likely transported via oxygen vacancies.

RESUMO

BACKGROUND: Bashbay sheep (Bbs) has a certain degree of resistance to Mycoplasma ovipneumoniae (Mo), however, Argali hybrid sheep (Ahs) is susceptible to Mo. To understand the molecular mechanisms underlying the difference of the susceptibility for Mo infection, RNA-sequencing technology was used to compare the transcriptomic response of the lung tissue of Mo-infected Bbs and Ahs. RESULTS: Six Bbs and six Ahs were divided into experimental group and control group respectively, all of them were experimentally infected with Mo by intratracheal injection. For collecting lung tissue samples, three Bbs and three Ahs were sacrificed on day 4 post-infection, and the others were sacrificed on day 14 post-infection. Total RNA extracted from lung tissue were used for transcriptome analyses based on high-throughput sequencing technique and bioinformatics. The results showed that 212 (146 up-regulated, 66 down-regulated) DEGs were found when comparing transcriptomic data of Bbs and Ahs at 4th dpi, besides, 311 (158 up-regulated, 153 down-regulated) DEGs were found at 14th dpi. After GO analysis, three main GO items protein glycosylation, immune response and positive regulation of gene expression were found related to Mo infection. In addition, there were 20 DEGs enriched in these above items, such as SPLUC1 (BPIFA1), P2X7R, DQA, HO-1 and SP-A (SFTPA-1). CONCLUSIONS: These selected 20 DEGs associated with Mo infection laid the foundation for further study on the underlying molecular mechanism involved in high level of resistance to Mo expressed by Bbs, meanwhile, provided deeper understandings about the development of pathogenicity and host-pathogen interactions.

RESUMO

To explore the cooperative evolutionary mechanism among top management support, employees' technical ability, and informatization performance in the process of the "integration of informatization and industrialization (IOII)" in manufacturing enterprises, this study established a three-dimensional dynamic model of informatization development, obtained the model parameters by the expert scoring method of case companies, and analyzed the time series of the dynamic model. After adjusting those parameters of the evolutionary process that do not meet the expectations of the enterprise, combined with management practice, the dynamic system is finally stable at the expected value. For a special state in the evolutionary process, the maximum Lyapunov exponent is used to identify the chaotic characteristics of the system, and a linear controller is designed to manage and control the chaotic system so that it evolves toward the expected value. The results of the case analysis verify the rationality of the model and the effectiveness of the control method, reveal the internal evolutionary mechanism of the informatization development of manufacturing enterprises, and explain the influence of chaos on enterprise management so as to help managers to use and control chaos.

RESUMO

The extension of fused aromatic ring core structures is beneficial for enhancing intramolecular charge transfer and effective π conjugation in A-D-A-type (A=acceptor; D=donor) non-fullerene acceptors (NFAs). In this work, a novel strategy involving the extension of a fused-ring core by symmetrically replicating the core unit has been developed, and a novel symmetric fused-12-ring NFA, LC81, has been synthesized. When paired with the wide-bandgap polymer donor PBT1-C, the corresponding organic solar cells (OSCs) showed a high power conversion efficiency of 12.71 %, much higher than that of the device based on the reference NFA, TPTT-4F. Moreover, the LC81-based OSC displayed a lower energy loss and a better ambient stability than the TPTT-4F-based device. Our results indicate that the extension of the fused-ring core by the symmetric replicating core unit strategy is an effective approach to promoting the photovoltaic characteristics of A-D-A-type NFAs.

RESUMO

Three-dimensional (3D) ordered construction of nanoparticles (NPs) has attracted much attention in wide applications, however, techniques with respect to cost effective nanofabrication of well defined functional architectures is still lacking. To address this specific issue, a bio-interface confinement approach is proposed that precisely replicates the complex cellular structural features of microbes and integrates silver NP (SNP) building blocks into their 3D framework in a precise, low cost and mass production way. Herein, the SNPs with nanospheres and nanosheets structure were synthesized by way of electroless deposition using Spirulina as template. Results showed that SNPs were orderly assembled along the cellular structure, and the spatially confinement of cellular texture induced the transformation of SNPs from sphere to flake morphology during their continuous growth. The silver assembly not only shows good antibacterial activity, but also exhibits excellent surface enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) performance with the enhancement factor as high as 5.95 × 108 and good recuperability towards Rhodamine 6G. The fascinating SERS performance can be ascribed to the combined action of nanosheets morphology of SNPs, hierarchical nanostructure of the cellular structure, and the small interparticle spacing. This strategy provides an effective strategy for controllable and ordered 3D assembly of NPs by using the cellular texture.

RESUMO

Over the past few years, non-fullerene organic solar cells have been a focus of research and their power conversion efficiencies have been improved dramatically from about 6 % to over 14 %. In addition to innovations in non-fullerene acceptors, the ongoing development of polymer donors has contributed significantly to the rapid progress of non-fullerene organic solar cell performance. This Minireview highlights the polymer donors that enable high-performance non-fullerene organic solar cells. We show the impressive photovoltaic devices results achieved by some of important classes of conjugated polymer systems in non-fullerene organic solar cells. We discuss the molecular design strategies as far as developing matching polymer donors for non-fullerene acceptors. We conclude with a brief summary and outlook for advances in donor polymers required for commercialization.

RESUMO

Two donor-acceptor (D-A) type conjugated copolymers, P1 and P2, are designed and synthesized. A classical benzothiadiazole acceptor is used to replace a thiophene unit in the polymer chain of P1 to obtain P2 terpolymer. Compared with P1, P2 exhibits broader absorption spectra, higher absorption coefficient, deeper lowest unoccupied molecular orbital level, and a relatively lower band gap. As a result, the P2-based solar cell exhibits a high power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 6.60%, with a short-circuit current (J sc ) of 12.43 mA cm-2 , and a fill factor (FF) of 73.1%, which are higher than those of the P1-based device with a PCE of 4.70%, a J sc of 9.43 mA cm-2 , and an FF of 61.6%.

RESUMO

PURPOSE: This study aimed to explore the effects of ticagrelor (a P2Y12 receptor inhibitor) on interleukin (IL)-17 and myeloperoxidase (MPO) expression in coronary thrombus as well as on the coronary blood flow in ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI) patients following percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI). METHODS: Forty STEMI patients who were admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Harbin Medical University between August 1, 2014 and December 30, 2014 were enrolled in this study according to a set inclusion criteria. They were randomized to ticagrelor and clopidogrel groups and treated with 180 mg ticagrelor and 600 mg clopidogrel before PCI, respectively. Intracoronary thrombus aspiration was performed by a physician during PCI. Immunohistochemistry and Western blot analysis were carried out to detect the expression of IL-17 and MPO in the thrombus. Corrected thrombolysis in myocardial infarction frame count (CTFC) was used to evaluate blood flow after PCI. RESULTS: Immunohistochemistry results showed that the average positive staining area percentage of IL-17 and MPO in the clopidogrel group was significantly higher than that in the ticagrelor group. Western blot analysis also showed similar results for IL-17 (clopidogrel 0.71 ± 0.036, ticagrelor 0.50 ± 0.56) and MPO (clopidogrel 0.50 ± 0.040; ticagrelor 0.38 ± 0.06). CTFC was lower in the ticagrelor group than that in the clopidogrel group (P < 0.05). CONCLUSIONS: Ticagrelor is more effective than clopidogrel in reducing inflammation thrombosis and improving postprocedural PCI blood flow in STEMI patients. This article is open to POST-PUBLICATION REVIEW. RESUMO

To investigate the effect of pollination on the fruit quality of 'Dangshan Su' pear, 'Dangshan Su' was fertilized by the pollen of 'Wonhwang' (Pyrus pyrifolia Nakai.) (DW) and 'Jingbaili' (Pyrus ussuriensis Maxim.) (DJ). The analysis of primary metabolites was achieved through untargeted metabolomics, and the quantitative analysis of intermediate metabolites of lignin synthesis was undertaken using targeted metabolomics. The untargeted metabolomics analysis was performed via gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). The targeted metabolomics analysis was performed using ultra-high-performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (UPLC-MS/MS) under the multiple reaction monitoring (MRM) mode. The results showed that the metabolite content was significantly different between DW and DJ. Compared with that in DJ, the sugar and amino acid content in DW was higher and the fatty acid content was lower at 47 days after pollination (DAPs), and the sugar, amino acid, and fatty acid content in DW was lower at 63 DAPs. The intermediate metabolites of lignin synthesis were analyzed using the orthogonal partial least squares discriminant analysis (OPLS-DA) model, and the differential metabolites at 47 DAPs were p-coumaric acid, ferulic acid, sinapaldehyde, coniferyl alcohol, and sinapyl alcohol. The differential significant metabolite at 63 DAPs was p-coumaric acid. At 47 DAPs and 63 DAPs, the p-coumaric acid level was significantly different, and the p-coumaric acid content was positively correlated with lignin synthesis. The pollination pollen affects the quality of 'Dangshan Su' pear fruit through regulation of the sugar, amino acid, and fatty acid content; at the same time, regulating the levels of intermediate metabolites of lignin synthesis, especially the p-coumaric acid content, to affect lignin synthesis ultimately affects the stone cell content and improves the quality of the pears.
