RESUMO

Here, we determined the nearly complete mitochondrial genome (mitogenome) of Chrysochares punctatus (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae: Eumolpinae), an important insect pest on Apocynum venetum in Northwestern China. This mitogenome was 14,451 bp long, encoding 13 protein-coding genes (PCGs), 21 transfer RNA genes (tRNAs), and 2 ribosomal RNA genes. The C. punctatus mitogenome presented an A + T content of 75.11%, with a positive AT-skew (0.064) and a negative GC-skew (-0.192). Ten PCGs started with a typical ATN codon, whereas the remaining three PCGs started with AAC (cox1) and TTG (nad1 and nad2). All tRNAs had a typical secondary cloverleaf structure, except for trnS1 which lacked the dihydrouridine arm. Bayesian phylogenetic analysis based on the nucleotide sequences of 13 PCGs recovered a phylogeny within Chrysomelidae: (((Chrysomelinae + Galerucinae), (((Eumolpinae, Lamprosomatinae), Cassidinae), Criocerinae)), Bruchinae).

RESUMO

To better understand the diversity and evolution of Odonata, we sequenced and annotated the complete mitochondrial genome (mitogenome) of Enallagma cyathigerum. This mitogenome was 16,661 bp in size and encoded the typical 37 genes, i.e. 13 protein-coding genes (PCGs), 22 transfer RNA genes (tRNAs) and two ribosomal RNA genes. The nucleotide composition of the E. cyathigerum mitogenome was significantly biased toward A and T, with an A + T content of 74.2%. Eleven PCGs started with a typical ATN codon, whereas the remaining two PCGs (nad1 and nad3) used TTG as the initial codon. All the 22 tRNAs had a typical secondary cloverleaf structure. The Bayesian phylogenetic analysis based on the concatenated nucleotide sequences of 13 PCGs strongly supported the sister relationship of E. cyathigerum and two Ischnura species from the same family Coenagrionidae. The phylogenetic tree strongly supported the monophyly of each of the two suborders (Zygoptera and Anisoptera) and recovered a phylogeny of Zygoptera + (Anisoptera + Anisozygoptera).

RESUMO

In this study we sequenced and annotated the nearly complete mitochondrial genome (mitogenome) of Taiwania circumdata (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae: Cassidinae), an important insect pest on sweetpotato and water spinach in Southern China. This mitogenome was 13,546 bp long and encoded 13 protein-coding genes (PCGs), 19 transfer RNA genes (tRNAs) and 2 ribosomal RNA unit genes. The T. circumdata mitogenome with an A + T content of 77.9% presented a positive AT-skew (0.126) and a negative GC-skew (-0.160). Eleven PCGs started with a typical ATN codon, whereas the remaining two PCGs used TTG (nad1) and AAT (cox1) as the initial codon. All the 19 tRNAs had a typical secondary cloverleaf structure, except for trnS1 (AGN) which lacked the dihydrouridine arm. Phylogenetic analyses using Bayesian inference and maximum likelihood methods based on the concatenated nucleotide sequences of 13 PCGs recovered a phylogeny of Bruchinae+ ((Galerucinae + Chrysomelinae) + (Criocerinae + Cassidinae)). In Cassidinae, T. circumdata and Laccoptera ruginosa formed a clade, which was sister to three Cassida species.

RESUMO

<p><b>OBJECTIVE</b>To observe improved effects of Jingjin acupuncture on fine activity of hemiplegic hand in recovery period of stroke.</p><p><b>METHODS</b>Fifty cases were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group, 25 cases in each one. Regular western medicine treatment, rehabilitation training and regular acupuncture (in which Shuigou (GV 26), Baihui (GV 20), Neiguan (PC 6), etc. were selected) were applied in both groups. Additionally, muscles in palm side of affected hand, dorsal metacarpophalangeal joints and proximal interphalangeal joints were treated with acupuncture in the observation group, once every other day and electroacupuncture was applied when arrival of qi was acquired. Baxie (EX-UE 9) in the affected hand were needled in the control group, and electroacupuncture was added when arrival of qi was acquired. Ten days of treatment was considered a treatment course, and after two courses Lindmark score, Brunnstrom movement function grade, joint range of hand and Barthel index (BI) were observed in two groups.</p><p><b>RESULTS</b>Compared before the treatment, the Lindmark score in two groups were both improved after the treatment (both P < 0.01). Compared with the control group, the motor coordination ability, sensory function and total score of Lindmark in observation group were obviously improved (differences before and after treatment: 8.24 +/- 3.07 vs 6.84 +/- 2.43, 3.52 +/- 2.33 vs 2.16 +/- 2.12, 11.76 +/- 3.55 vs 9.00 +/- 3.62, all P < 0.05). The Brunnstrom movement function grade was significantly improved in both groups after treatment (both P < 0.01), which was more obvious in the observation group (P < 0.05). The joint range of hemiplegic hand was improved in both groups after treatment (both P < 0.01), which was more obvious in the observation group [differences before and after treatment: (25.35 +/- 10.91) degrees vs (18.65 +/- 7.86) degrees, p < 0.05]. The score of BI was also significantly improved after treatment in two groups (both P < 0.01).</p><p><b>CONCLUSION</b>The Jingjin acupuncture could effectively improve fine activity of hemiplegic hand in recovery period of stroke prove daily life ability.</p>
